Coastal Swim Academy was the right fit for my daughter. We had previously tried private lessons at a trainers home. This setting has been the best for my kiddo. I absolutely recommend Coastal Swim Academy. Staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Awesome instructors and very nice facility. Not only did they teach my 3-yr old to swim and float, my daughter now loves swimming. She used to refuse to get off the step and would never put her face in the water. After the first week, she was putting her face under water and looked forward to her lessons.

I was so excited about this place when calling the owner called me back and was polite. I searched for somewhere like this that seemed small and not a franchise. I was wrong. The turn over is crazy with regards to instructors. In the beginning one instructor said he was uncomfortable working with my daughter because she was a big girl 11 yes she is over weight. I also picked this place because the ratio was perfect 2 but no more that 3 kids. We started March 2024. Class sizes went up to 4 or 5 kids, if your kid passed and moves you now have to find a new slot on another day. Keep in mind I have 2 kids. They held my daughter back and keep her with little kids. When we missed because my son has server asthma I was told I have to do it online. No paper, no one showing you how to do it. Scheduling is hard on a normal day why would I fight to make up. Also after you miss one time you pay an additional 10 dollars per kid per make up. During the last hurricane they were closed on the day of their lesson plus we were displaced. I was told we had to schedule and make that up and pay( why they were closed). We missed at least 8 lessons. I asked could I get out of contract late summer and was told no. The only time they called was when my card changed and they wanted payment. My kids were just a number over here. The way we were treated is horrible. We will go somewhere else. I lost alot of money and my kids aren't swimming they way they could. Runnnnn

I’m incredibly disappointed with how Coastal Swim Academy handled my niece's birthday party. As an uncle who was looking forward to celebrating her 9th birthday, I was shocked at how poorly things turned out.

The party was supposed to start at 3:30pm, and we were told we could arrive at 3:00pm to set up. I arrived around 3:20pm, expecting to find everything ready to go. Instead, we were all left waiting outside in the parking lot, with no one from the company showing up to open the doors.

We tried calling the business using the number listed, but every call went straight to an automated message saying the number was unavailable. Despite leaving several voice messages and sending an email, we received no response at all. By the time everyone started arriving, it was clear that the party wasn’t going to happen as planned.

We had to quickly figure out an alternative so that my niece could still enjoy her birthday, but this whole experience was incredibly frustrating. The lack of communication and professionalism from Coastal Swim Academy was shocking. I never expected a business to drop the ball like this for an important event.

I am immensely disappointed in this company. My daughter is a 9 y/o avid swimmer and we booked coastal swim academy for her 9th birthday party. We booked the place 3/26/24 and paid the $100 deposit. Our booking was loaded in their online portal for 8/10/24. We confirmed the booking last week 7/31/24.

Fast forward to today, 8/10/24. The party was intended to begin at 3:30pm. One of the associates of this establishment informed us that we could arrive at 3:00pm for set up. We arrived ~20 minutes early and waited in the parking lot for someone to show up to the place and open the door.

We called the number we’d been calling to communicate with the business (the number listed here under the business’s google page, posted to their website, and on their front door). However, we were met with an automated message indicating “This number is unavailable.” I left 3 voice messages and my wife left 4 voice messages. We emailed the organization at 3:15pm and still no reply.

Party attendees began arriving promptly at 3:20pm for the party to begin at 3:30pm. We had to explain the debacle to the other parents and children and ultimately left without receiving any phone call or email response . Needless to say, this place doesn’t seem to hold any regard for professional integrity.

We were forced to pivot and my daughter was able to still enjoy her birthday elsewhere. However, even she was flabbergasted by the level of unprofessionalism. It feels like we were catfished by coastal swim academy and we’re, honestly, still attempting to fathom how a company could be as negligent as this one for a little girl’s 9th birthday party.

If you book a party with coastal swim academy, just be ready to be disappointed. You will be treated as an insignificant customer who doesn’t deserve any communication about a change in circumstance. If this is how they treat customers who’ve paid a deposit to rent their space for a birthday event, I hate to see how they treat their daily swim customers.

There is absolutely no excuse for what we experienced with this company. I am utterly flummoxed about how it is that this business can treat a paying customer this way. We not only booked the party months in advance, but we called just last week to confirm that everything was good to go. The owner actually spoke to us and expressed enthusiasm about hosting my daughter’s party.

The most damming thing about all this is that the business was open today from 8:00am-1:00pm, which means that the business associates left without any regard for the party that was scheduled for 3:30pm. If you book an event with this business, good luck. You’ll be treated inhumanely.

Good riddance to this business. Perhaps they should consider new management strategies, improving their customer service, and displaying a modicum of integrity.

My son loves Coastal Swim! We started in the mommy and me class in 2023 and now he is almost swimming on his own. The staff is amazing and super patient. They are also super welcoming which helps my son feel comfortable.Management is also very understanding and will answer all questions and concerns. I highly recommend this school.

Our daughter (3 year old) completed ISR with Miss Emily and we are thrilled with the skills and confidence she gained. I was skeptical at first but Miss Emily was so patient and encouraging! We have been with Coastal Swim Academy for about 2 years now (daughter is 4yo and son is 6yo). We started when my daughter was in the parents and me classes and both of my kids hated the water. Now, it's the only extra curricular activity that they are excited to go to without a fight. All the front staff and swim coaches have been great! My oldest son is now 6yo and swims with confident. My oldest son loved Swim Team Prep with Coach Sally and eventually tried out for a local swim team and made it! He's doing well in competition and his new swim team coach said he's one of the most skilled swimmers in his group. My son credits Coach Sally. She's such a great instructor! My previously mentioned scared toddler is now a preschooler working on his breathing techniques and backstroke with Coach Sally. Coach Avery really helped him get over his fear. She is so warm and energetic and makes swimming fun for the littles.

We had a birthday party at Coastal and it was a hit! The staff was super helpful with setting up and attentive throughout the party. The kids had a blast in the pool and the parents were all very impressed with the facility.

My sons love their swim classes at Coastal Swim! The coaches are so patient and great at teaching. Last summer, my toddler was scared of the water and would cry if his head got wet. After being in lessons throughout the school year, he's very comfortable in the water now and learning the techniques to be a safe swimmer. My elementary aged son has really improved on his aquatic skills and is about to start Coastal's swim team prep classes so he can hopefully join a local swim team next year. No more puddle jumpers for this family!

We started with Emily in 2018 for ISR and now both of my younger children absolutely LOVE attending swim class every week! The set up at Coastal swim academy is great, your children are able to see you and you them the entire time. The facility is extremely clean and well kept. Every instructor we have had have been kind and encouraging meeting my kiddos at their level. Both of my kids are going to Coast Swim Academy. They are having flexible hours and will let you makeup your class if you ever missed it. All the staffs are so nice. We gave this place 2 tries. The first week we were shocked at how little time our 6 year old daughter actually spent in the water but chalked it up to it just being her first class. The second week we timed her, and in a 30 minute class of 3 children our daughter spent 4 minutes and 40 seconds in the water. That is absolutely unacceptable for the price.

We love Coastal Swim Academy. We originally met Ms. Emily when our oldest enrolled in ISR lessons with her. We were very excited to see CSA open so that we could do swimming lessons there. Our kids have started private swim lessons with Coach Jett and they love him. He is so friendly and they have learned so much already. A nice touch is that there are toys and books in the waiting area so that when one of my kids is waiting his turn he has things to help him have fun. I also love the fact that there are large floor to ceiling windows for us parents to watch our kids through the lessons. There are many private changing rooms for after the lessons are completed which is an extra perk as you never have to stand around and wait. Everyone from the front desk to emails I receive from the office coordinator/manager are friendly, helpful, and timely. We really enjoy this facility and their staff.

The teachers are energetic and combine excercises with playing so that kids are not bored when learning.
Kids that are waiting their class have some toys and books to keep them busy.

We had our three kids (6, 7 and 9) here this summer. Very pleased with the evolution of their swim skills. They all were pretty poor swimmers and they can now mostly swim by themselves. Our youngest still needs a little help at times, but has come a long way. I’d definitely recommend this place. Very clean with a great layout.
