Dropped in at CrossFit Azimuth for about 2 months and loved it. The programming was some really good— well-structured, challenging, and it actually pushed me to improve. It's challenging but it was doable/scalable for all levels. You could tell a lot of thought went into it. The gym itself is super clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything you need.

The coaches, especially Kendyll and Jack, were amazing — super supportive, great at giving feedback, and just really good people. The whole community was super welcoming from day one. If you're in the Plano/Dallas area, this place is definitely worth dropping in.

Update 1: Amazing Hyrox classes as well, in addition to regular crossfit.

Reposting my review, as my last one was taken down. This gym seems to cater to a very specific crowd, and not everyone will feel welcomed here. I encourage people—especially those from marginalized communities—to visit and form their own impressions. Personally, I experienced subtle but noticeable discomfort that I believe others might pick up on, too. The head coach often comes across as unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional, which really impacts the overall environment. The leadership could benefit from some serious reflection, as the focus here feels more like profit than community. I recommend exploring other options if you’re looking for a space that feels inclusive and supportive.

Incorrect address on maps, and when I called (three times ) I got not answer. Then, I reached out on social media and feel like they were saying it was my fault. Like how am I supposed to know you had an address change? Lol . Either way probably a good workout but I’ll try other CrossFit gyms instead.

UPDATE: immediately after I posted this review they messaged me on Instagram “ma’am did you really have to post that review….. our location is updated on Instagram and ClassPass….”

Again blaming, I didn’t know it was different so didn’t think to check but keeping this review because seriously? I’m sure your nice people but this was not nice to do.

Its great when a gym owner responds to emails so quick and will share the WOD with a drop in. The coach was great and the music was too. Super friendly group to workout with. Its a real Crossfit gym.

I started my CrossFit journey with Azimuth in January 2020 and have grown as an athlete and in my health thanks to the amazing coaches at this gym. I recently had a baby and they coached me through my pregnancy, which was my most healthy pregnancy I had, and now post partum. I trust them implicitly and love my 5am class! They are one of the few gyms in the area who has a 5am (vs 5:30) and it's perfect for my schedule. LOVE Azimuth!

Adding: Clean equipment, awesome programming!

I've been a member of this gym for a few years. So far it has been a great experience and I have achieved the results I've wanted. The coaches, Kendyll in particular, have been very helpful. She is a great coach, and great person.

Nothing but love for this gym.

There are a lot of wonderful things to say about Azimuth from the coaches to the community. Everyone is so kind, encouraging, and motivating. The results are not overnight or over a week, but they help you become stronger and more confident in yourself while also making sure you're not going to hurt yourself. I have been going for over a year now and am always trying to get other friends and coworkers to join me.
I held this gym to a standard i had at my previous gym and they've been exactly what i wanted and needed. 10/10. Will continue to go!

Dropped in while staying in Plano for work. Fun spot, everything you want from a CrossFit gym, open bay doors, spacious, quality equipment, and great coaching. Looking forward to dropping in each time I’m in the area.

As all my coaches know I’m a very honest person, and when I say this gym has changed my life, I mean it. It’s not only the health benefits of CrossFit itself, but the care and personal touch the coaches put into your training to get you, to be your best you. Whatever your goals are; body recomposition, losing weight, lowering cholesterol or blood pressure, mental health, or finding like minded people, you’ll find it at Azimuth. In the last year there I have lost almost 50 pounds, gained muscle mass, gained confidence, friends, and the ability to bring all my groceries in on one arm. I do and would recommend this gym to anyone on a wellness journey and am very grateful they’ve been apart of mine.

Azimuth was my first ever experience in a crossfit gym. My experience here over the last 2 years now have been more than memorable. Not only have I met amazing friends in the gym that I get to take with me outside of the gym, but I have also made mental and physical growth. I have lifted heavier than I ever thought I could, and learned to push myself more than I ever thought I could.

All the coaches here are amazing at their job. I have the most exposure to coaches Kendyll, Carina, and Justin, and have also been fortunate to have one class with Jaime as well. They are all great at offering scaling options, but also holding you accountable to what you are capable of.

I'm forever grateful my first ever crossfit experience has been welcoming and would recommend this box to anyone.

I decided to try this gym out due to all of the positive reviews but after the experiences ive had these past few weeks I will never set foot in this gym again. I've always had anxiety and the head coach Kendyll definitely made it worse. She is the most unprofessional person I ever met, she's so quick to snap and make you feel bad when you're not doing something correct. I tried to ignore and push past her negativeness but it's not worth it anymore. I really hope the owner talks to her about the way she treats her members.

I joined Crossfit Azimuth yesterday. After searching the area and dropping in at other boxes, Azimuth was the right fit for me. The facility is clean, well maintained equipment, good coaches and a friendly, welcoming environment. Happy to call Azimuth my new home Crossfit box. UPDATE: I have been here now for over a year and I still love it here. Great programming, clean and new equipment. **Update** I have been here now for over a year and a half and I love it. The programming is really good and the coaches are outstanding. You should drop-in and give Azimuth a go. You will see me at the 5am class!

I just passed the 6 month mark so thought it was appropriate to finally leave a review. I joined Azimuth after a not so great doctor's appointment gave me the reality check I needed. After not working out for 2+ years (hello 20 extra pandemic pounds and elevated cholesterol!) getting back into it was ROUGH to say the least. But I'm so thankful to have found this box, because believe me when I say not all CrossFit boxes are created equal! From my first consultation with Kendyll I felt right at home. Besides the simple pros like being less than 10 minutes from my house, clean equipment, convenient class times, etc., the best part of this box are the people. Coaches Kendyll and Carina give you just the right combination of encouragement while also pushing you to surpass your own personal limits and comfort level. Everyone in class is supportive and encouraging, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. I still have a long way to go to reach my goals, but I'm down 8 lbs, cholesterol levels are down by 12, and I just feel so much better both physically and mentally. I can't wait to continue my journey here, and coming to class each week is one of the highlights of my day (even on the days I get my a** kicked by the WOD!). If you're reading this and considering joining, just DO IT! You won't regret it.

Best family of crossfitters ever. Great instruction, extremely encouraging coaches and members, and spot on training schedules. I have come and gone, but I just can't stay away from this gym. Thank you Azimuth for helping me get myself back, inside and out. Still a work in progress, but we're getting there!

Great facility with a welcoming environment. I came here not only looking to get back in the sport and in shape, but to find a community. I’m only 6 weeks in and am already feeling healthier and making great connections with the staff and members. If you’re looking for a home with great flexibility in the workouts - come here!

I started my CrossFit journey at CrossFit Azimuth 3 years ago as a way to bring balance to my structure. I realized as a lady going into my 40’s that my hypermobility and low muscle mass would be a liability and that the best way to gain stability around my joints was to engage in functional movement patterns that combined strength with mobility. After doing a lot of research, I felt that the CrossFit methodology would be best.

From day 1 I felt that the staff at CrossFit Azimuth cared a great deal about supporting me in my goals and reducing risk so that I would not compromise my structure in the process. I loved that they wanted me to establish a good foundation of technique and the private lessons I received in the beginning were key in getting me started on the right path. I highly recommend that everyone at some point (beginners should of course do this sooner) have private lessons with the coaches. It is money well spent and an investment for yourself that you won’t regret!

In a group setting, the coaches watch attentively and will help you improve your technique as you complete the workout. This is sometimes accomplished with a quick, clear, well-timed cue and other times may involve them coming up to you, asking you to pause for a bit and try something specific to be effective in a movement. Even before the workout, the coaches want to help you understand how to scale the workout for your condition. I also think the community here is great! Each person finds their level of intensity to work at that’s appropriate for them and the goal is for everyone to finish whether it’s for time or rounds. There’s a really healthy sense of support and encouragement among the members during a workout!

Now that I’m 3 years in with the methodology at this particular gym, I’m really shocked at how far I’ve come. The benefits for me have gone beyond my expectations. I can go to Colorado and do hikes at high altitudes without much trouble breathing and enjoy sport climbing outdoors. I can go to the climbing gym with my college age kids and enjoy bouldering with them. I’ve even felt a significant improvement in my mental health - seasonal affective disorder used to be a problem for me, but I haven’t experienced that since I’ve incorporated CrossFit into my wellness routine.

I’ve learned recently that not all CrossFit boxes are the same. I feel very lucky to have started with Azimuth, as they are holding true to the importance of foundational movement mechanics.

I highly recommend this place! Absolutely 5 stars!

Sitting in a busy holiday airport it's dawned on me I have not reviewed my Azimuth experience. It's been several months since I've joined CrossFit Azimuth and the experience has been great. By no means am I a CrossFit aficionado, but I've been to enough boxes to know the good from the bad. Azimuth is definitely at the top of the list. The coaches provide great instruction and are quick to offer tips to improve our skills. Most often Kendyll has been my coach and she is amazing. Her method of instruction has helped me improve many of the sticking points I've struggled with in the past. I also have to mention the 5 am crew at Azimuth. They have all been very welcoming and a joy to work out with. I look forward to continuing my fitness journey at CrossFit Azimuth!

This box is fantastic. I dropped in for 2 weeks while on a work trip and will be back. Beaux is a fabulous coach. He took time to watch me during wods and tweaked little things to make my movements more efficient and pushed me throughout. He also wrote me warmups based on my own wod for open gym. Jamie is a bad a$$ and such a sweetheart. She coached and inspired me to keep pushing when I worked out next to her. The members were also just as welcoming as the coaches and made me feel right at home. (Zac, thanks for being my partner and keeping me motivated. You go hard all the time so keep it up). For someone like myself who travels often and drops in to many boxes, I’d have to say this is one I am really looking forward to coming back to soon. Thanks for everything!
