The worst gym I’ve ever had. I recently moved and forgot to cancel my membership before leaving and they’ve held my account hostage when I’ve been trying to cancel for months now. I’ve spoken to the general manager twice since and it has still not been resolved. Do not trust this gym with your money. They will charge you ridiculous fees and hold your account hostage as long as they can.

I've used them two or three years. Finally had enough and went to cancel.. my membership fee went through the 15th of November. Three days ago. And they still charged me a 30 day notice bullshit fee. I knew going in they'd screw me over though. But the machine i love the most has been broke for months. Most times I cant find any cleaning supplies nothing has been restocked. God forbid you need to speak to a staff member they act like you have ruined the entire day for them once they actually acknowledge you. Don't recommend.

Your manager NICO, deserves a raise! While out of town Nico was able to help me with my account and get what I needed done. I will also add when I have been in the club I have noticed more then once, Nico is always busy doing something or helping someone meanwhile I observed other staff standing around while on their phone, while I'm waiting for them to look up to help... NICO thank you for being so kind and always willing to go the extra mile, your work does not go unnoticed to everyone.

Literally the most poorly managed club I've ever been a member of. Tried to cancel my membership in August of 2024. They continued charging me. I disputed all of the charges with my bank, and they ruled in my favor, so what does the club do? They report it to a crediting agency.
Literally the most crooked and unprofessional gym you could visit. DO NOT JOIN HERE!

Visiting from out of town. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Was able to get my training in including Olympic lifts and cardio. Barbells were strong and not flimsy like I've found at some other gyms. Nico at the front desk was particularly excellent to work with. Great gym!

It was an ok gym to start with... Some equipment is only for use if you get a personal trainer regardless of it u know what ur doing with it... I personally went thru a hard time... Became late in pmts (which i own is on me and my responsibility) n am trying to cancel all for them to try n charge the annual charge in the midst of that n act like i should be grateful they are waiving something else .. just want to be done. Their body scan never worked when i went in... Again about the rquipment... N now this... P.s. the bs voicemails like they care about me missing a workout when they never notoced i had t been there in months anyways... I know its about the bottom line- please sontyfake caring...

Officially sick of this place and looking for other gyms. I have 2 teen daughters and 2 younger kids who want to start working out too. I pay for premium membership to get as much as I can out of it and I’m still expected to pay $10 a person any time more than 1 kid wants to workout. This is a good crunch fitness. I'm only giving them 2 stars because I was in town for a few days and wanted to workout here instead of anytime fitness and they made me pay $40 dollars for a 7 day pass when there is a free 7 day trial. I'm so disappointed in that, especially since a crunch I went to in Pennsylvania took care of me.

Had to take a break from the gym after purchasing trainer time. When I tried to come back all the trainer time gone. When I called and asked about it, was told buy it again. Asked to speak to a manager, was told email only. Still waiting for a reply.

I like Crunch here in Amarillo. The staff is very friendly. I think for anyone starting their fitness journey this wouldn't be a bad place to start. There's lots of people who come in and out but the staff does their best to keep the facility clean. I think they have a great selection of equipment, assisted weights, free weights, bench press, Olympic platforms, plate loaded machines. If your new starting your journey the best time to come in would be during the a.m. hours overnight I think that's where a gym like this really shines.

I signed up during the awesome new year sale and it's April now and I've come to heavily regret it. Heavily. This whole experience has soured me on gym memberships in general now. Went in to pay my last bill after I cancelled, and the lady at the front told me just $10 late fee was all I owed. But I wanted to pay all, so I asked her to do that and she had to get the manager, a lady who couldn't be bothered to make a customer at least feel welcome and valued. Especially at such a not so good time, of cancelling a membership i never really used, paying fees upon fees. I asked the cashier for a receipt and she said I didn't need one. I said, so they'll email me one then? And she said probably not. Hmm.. I've had issues in the past with bank withdrawals and fees so I am nervous about that. But the sad part was that the manager was too busy to even look at me, or smile or offer any words. That was the worst part. I wasn't upset or anything, I just wanted to pay what I owed and get away from Crunch Fitness for good. Funny, that same manager was the one who was so happy and bubbly the day I signed up. Also, the few times I went in, most of the time the lady's locker room was so dirty. Crunch Fitness was not a good experience for me, hope it's better for you. 👍🏾 Also, I probably wouldn't have felt the need to leave this review if I had felt like management cared just a little. I do not recommend this place I got it because my girls here and I work nights so I'm usually up at night and they have 24-hour That's the reason I'm still there is the 24-hour The tanning beds almost half the lights are out in some of them I've told them repeatedly they still don't fix it oh we're going to fix it and they never do The equipment okay I can't really talk bad about the equipment except for all the holes in the floor when you walk around there's like you got to watch your ankles cuz you will like especially over there by the dumbbells and stuff you'll twist your ankle on them just got to be careful about it it's kind of ragged out in there I definitely don't recommend it people go in there and lock your stuff in lockers and just like use it as locker space so you can't get a locker sometimes let's just ridiculous

Crunch, Crunch, Crunch. This is a good gym. BUT I made my decision to leave Planet Fitness and signed up for a different gym other than Crunch at the last minute after going to Crunch and generally enjoying it each time. Here are the main details:

PROS
• Planet Fitness could not compare at all with the amount of heavier weights that Crunch provides.
• Crunch beat planet fitness again by having official deadlift platforms, squat racks and free weight bench press platforms
• Crunch is open 24hrs EVERYDAY EVEN THE WEEKENDS!! Even the gym I chose over Crunch can’t match that.
• Crunch separates the plate loaded machines from the pin loaded machines to make it easier to identify depending on your preferences.
• Crunch has punching bags and a functional training area with a lot of space to do sleds and whatever else you want.

CONS
• Crunch is nowhere near as clean as Planet Fitness
• The restrooms are the worst thing about crunch, not many stalls and not clean.
• NO Smith machines, this was one of the biggest draws to the gym I ended up picking over Crunch. The gym I chose has BOTH 😁.
• Elbow-to-Elbow, this gym feels like you have absolutely no space to train particularly in the Dumbbell area without running into someone else.
• No reracking of weights, but hear me out, I don’t even blame the customers. I ALWAYS rack my weights and DIDN’T when I went to this gym. I see why no one does here, it’s weird but you kinda have to be there to understand. It’s like you don’t even really know where you would rack your weights. If you work out there you will understand.

Bottom line is, this gym has a lot of training options, the functional area, plate loaded machines, and free weight options are good. Also LOVE their treadmills that have the functionality I look for, better than the Amarillo Planet Fitness ones. Those things considered this could be the gym for you. If you are looking for room while working out, cleanliness, or the option of Smith Machines, this isn’t the gym for you.

I was really looking forward to join this gym but unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. First, the gym floor is often overcrowded, making it nearly impossible to complete a workout without waiting a long time for equipment. Cleanliness is another major issue. The locker room and bathrooms were dirty, with a persistent bad odor. The staff doesn’t enforce hygiene rules, you will always find weights scattered around and people don’t wipe down machines after use. Another major issue is the staff, costumer service is lacking. The front desk employees seem uninterested and unhelpful, they have a terrible attitude toward gym members. Canceling your membership is nearly impossible. They make it as difficult as possible with hidden fees and unnecessary steps. For these reasons and more I don’t recommend this gym to anyone.

I am give a one star for the service at the front desk I tried to bring my son to work out to stay in shape for his football season n they didn't let him as my guest which I have done before but they day before they had a white infant baby in the weight area I guess I would have to b white ti get that type of privilege at this gym because I have seen younger white children then my son working out with there parents

I've gone to crunch since they first opened and it is by far my favorite gym in Amarillo for the price and vast equipment they offer as well as being 24 hours. I love sandi and joys morning classes and Richard's evening classes when I'm looking to change up my routine. Chase on the night crew is amazing, he takes great care of the facility and I never see him not working on something to make sure they stay well kept and uncluttered of left behind equipment!

I have recently moved to Amarillo joined the Crunch Fitness here. I was also a member at the Crunch Fitness in my previous city and that place was very nice. But unfortunately I can't say that about the Crunch Fitness here in Amarillo. I like the gym and I go there almost everyday. I like working out there. But I felt that the gym needs some maintenance overall. I am not sure if the gym equipment are regularly serviced. A good amount of machines are out of order and I mostly use treadmills and it feels like those are not lubricated properly to keep it smooth running. The lockers in the locker room are not cleaned regularly and there are dirts, muds etc. No sauna in this location. Another issue is the parking lot. I don't know who is responsible for taking care of the parking lot, all the lines of parking spaces are almost invisible or gone. Difficult to see where the parking spaces are.

Update: I've been going to Crunch over 1.5years. I still enjoy it! I even have a home gym, and still keep my Crunch membership.

I've been going here a month now, four times a week. I enjoy it! I do tend to go in the afternoon when things start getting busy. Sometimes I have to move my sets around or exchange workouts to fit the machines available, but usually I'm still able to do the workouts I have planned. I routinely use the benches, machines, and racks. There's usually plenty of weights available. I wish there was more than one set of curl bars, I rarely get to use these. They also have sleds and boxes. I run as well as lift. Several of the treadmills seem to be down for maintenance, but from the looks of it they get lots of use. This is typical. There has still always been a treadmill to use for my training program. I also use the child care for my four kids, ages 1-9. The girls there are very sweet and my kids look forward to going each time. There's plenty for them to do in there. I use the tanning every time I go. Once one of the beds was broken, so I let them know. Overall, I like this gym. I usually workout at home and run the streets or use my own treadmill but due to just moving here from out of state and having our home built I don't have access to any of the things. Even once i do get my home gym back, I will consider keeping my membership here.

I’ve been to multiple Crunch locations in Texas, and unfortunately, this one stands out as the worst. At other locations, staff are actively cleaning, but here, it’s rare to see anyone cleaning. When they do, they’re using a rag zip-tied to a broom—which hardly seems effective.

The men’s restroom is absolutely disgusting. They don’t even provide sanitary seat covers for the toilets, which are far from clean. Half of the equipment is broken and has been that way for weeks. Everyone knows machines need maintenance, but this is excessive.

The gym floor padding is full of holes and dip's, many sanitizing stations are empty or have broken bottles, and the overall cleanliness is severely lacking. To make matters worse, they keep advertising to bring in more members, even though the gym is already small and overcrowded “with broken equipment”.

Oh and they only have three D-handles for the cable machines, and those are in poor condition with tears—so be careful, or they might rip on you!

This location needs serious improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, and overall management but that’s just my opinion.

The female at the front desk, i don’t remember her name and i think she’s a manager(usually works morning and has an undercut and dirty blonde hair). She is WONDERFUL!! Helped me cancel our memberships as we were leaving to another city for work on short notice.. she even cancelled a membership from midland that was years old. She was friendly and her customer service skills are excellent. She has been the ⭐️ throughout my whole crunch experience in amarillo…. As for the crowd that goes here, I do not like. Seems like half the older men that go here come in here to just look around and be creepy to 15/16 year old girls. I had a couple bad experiences with male members here as well. Just last week I had a guy that was wearing a black twisted tea hoodie (with his hoodie up) wink and smile at me. This guy had also followed me around the gym. While i was doing leg extensions he was right next to me on another leg machine. As i do my cardio at the end this guy is in direct line of sight now on a back machine (facing backwards towards treadmills staring at me). The worst part was when i finished my workout and was leaving, he was gone… i’ve never gotten to my car faster. That is not the only experience i have had like that, there are more. The crowd at this gym also have no etiquette (they don’t put their weights back when done and don’t wipe down equipment with the provided towels and spray). The lady that was just recently hired that cleans in the afternoon is very thorough with her cleaning and i appreciate that!! The staff deserves five stars but the crowd is NOT IT.

I would give them NO stars if it was an option!! I have canceled my membership several times - initially I went into the location and canceled with the girl behind the counter, I sent two emails via their online contact system and I sent a letter directly to the location I signed up at to reconfirm my cancelation. I cannot go in person as I no longer live in the state and the nearest location is hours away. The staff is majorly incompetent obviously. They failed to cancel my membership back in July and still shows my account as active racking up fees. Do not join this gym. They claim a no-hassle cancellation but obviously that is not the case. They also put someone else under my profile who signed up at the same time.

This business uses false advertising and DECEPTIVE practices to lure you into a one year contract and then misinforms you about the contract as well as your ability to cancel the program. Once they've gotten you to agree, they will rope you into an annual fee and continue to charge you only after they've said they cancelled your account. When you learn of the ongoing charges they will tell you it was never cancelled and that you must go in and pay another $50 to actually cancel and that their employees must've "miscommunicated" some information. All while having no accountability for "misinforming" their customers. It's a scam for people who have lives and don't want to sit at the gym looking in the mirror all day and pretending to actually be working out. Planet fitness is probably the safer, Moore integral route if you don't want to have a membership.... Or if you don't want to end up in a midnight line of fire incident. The employee Des who services the counter will use her "pretending" manager position to test your patience through rudeness, arrogance and haughtiness....try not to get sucked in as it's obvious she does this on a regular basis as a means to convince herself of her own self worth.

I had been going to crunch for about 5 months, I had a personal trainer which she was amazing!!! However when it was time for me to sign up for new sessions with my trainer the people up front do not know what they are doing. I was paying my trainer fees bi-weekly so when I paid they were only suppose to charge me $100. However that happened on a Thursday before Easter I was leaving on vacation on Wednesday. That Monday I'm thankfully checking my bank account and they took a payment out of $500. (WOW) I text my trainer she said she would let the person who ran my card know, she was very apologetic. She let me know that my money would be in my bank account by Thursday (before good Friday) I expressed to her that I really was counting on that $400 for my vacation. I left town and no money was returned. So Monday after Easter I check my account and still nothing. I message my trainer again and she was concerned as well. She then calls me and says it wasn't showing up as a refund and that the GM Jenny had taken care of it. Come Tuesday I check my account again AND there's another $50 pending payment trying to be processed. Wow!!! At this moment I'm furious. I called the gym spoke with Jenny the GM and she was quick to hand me off to a new person who is over the trainers. I explained to her, you are the GM I need to talk to you not the new person. She definitely did just pass me down. Jaden then takes over the phone and he says he understood and knew what I was going threw. I said really you've had $500 debited out of your account right before leaving on vacation ok well maybe this happens more than I thought. However I go on and explain why I was furios was the new pending payment they were trying to pull. Unbelievable that they can't get my refund back of $400 but know taking an additional $50. He said he was going to talk to the GM Jenny (which is why I wanted to speak with her to begin with, I knew he wouldn't be able to give me answers) that day went by, I then call him 24 hours after talking to him and they ask who I was I told them me and who I needed to speak with, the person puts me on hold gets back on and says he is actually talking yo the GM now about your situation he will call you back. Really!!!! I think this type of issue should be an urgent issue that should of been resolved a dang week ago. Anyways Jaden calls me back and says they are reversing that pending payment too. The guy who originally processed this had been let go and they were sorry. Well I'm sorry I think I need something more than just we are sorry. We are talking about $400 being taken on my account for no reason and no one knows why. That's odd. I for sure didn't sign up for this kind of customer service. They made my account negative due to bills being processed as well. They didn't care. I'm sorry but $400 is alot of money to just say oh yes here you go I don't need those funds for my vacation and to pay my bills. I asked him if they would be able to offer like a some type of compensation, free session with trainer month free of gym something because this was so wrong on their part. He said let me talk to my GM Jenny and will get back to you. I've called twice for Jaden no call backs I've called twice for Jenny and no call backs either. Unbelievable how the GM just seems to not have the education or training on how to have better customers service especially with people who they screw around. The more I think about it the more ot makes sense, when they processed my payment it was at the end of the month so whoever kept those commission on that I'm sure had to wait for the beginning of the month o refund them. That is the only thing that makes sense and why no one has called me back to explain anything.

Every time I come in early Sunday mornings (5am) the weight room is always cleaned up and looking nice because Hunter is on shift. I’ve left him reviews with the company anonymously to let them know how much I appreciate him cleaning up the weight room and his help. I’m handicapped and anytime I need a hand Hunter is there to help me out. I truly appreciate what he does up there, he makes me feel welcome every time I come in!

Once you make it past the guy at the front everything else is fine. He just made me feel really uncomfortable. I was wearing a short sports top, as most women do and as I was being checked in I could literally see him looking down my shirt. I put my arms over my chest and he grunted and rolled his eyes. I wanted to say something to a manager but I was just so uncomfortable I wanted to just leave it alone and work out at that point. The kid’s name was Hunter. It was just uncomfortable because I know a lot of young women like myself work out here and this is supposed to be a safe space. I won’t be coming back and am promptly cancelling.

I travel for work all over the South and by far this crunch is the dirtiest one I’ve been to.The bars felt pasty from not being wiped down in a while. Machines all dirty. No weights re racked anywhere. Come on crunch staff….. this is not the standard held at any other crunch locations I’ve been to. I read a couple of the recent reviews…… may want to wake up Crunch management.

If you want to be disrespected by children and young adults this is the place to go. This is the gym where you go to sit around and do nothing. Young adults boxing when this is not a boxing gym, trainers and staff not being professional to customers while working out. Literally have watched young adults back talk and try to fight grown men right in front of me. Also have Hurd story’s about shooting and other acts of violence at this gym thank god I got smart enough and quit only after being a member for 5 or so months.

the gym itself is a great place to come work out but the employees not so much. they don’t clean the bathrooms as much. and they don’t sanitize the toys in the daycare, so if your child came in healthy and leaves sick then you should know that’s why. their reason is because they aren’t a “real daycare.” & the managers in the daycare are too comfortable telling their business and gossiping instead of actually working.

I don't use this gym much but when I did today I was surprised with a hike in my dues along with a $57 yearly fee. If you do the math for a couple dollars more you can go to a much better gym with a pool, sauna, whirlpool, steam room and clean locker rooms. Something like The Town Club or Gold's Gym. So much for getting scammed by your gym and lying about it!
They have an excuse for every fee!

I really liked working out there until I got into a situation with one of the employee's . I contacted the manager and they handled the situation. I come in another day and it's the same girl and I get pure attitude and retaliation from 2 out the 4 employee's .I informed the the same manager of what was happening and gave her my number to call me Cause she was on the phone on a meeting and never received a phone call back. I even sent an email and they never return it. I come to the gym to get away from all the problems in the world and all the issues and for one of your employees to cause more issues is just not right. How is there not a customer service number to where somebody can get a hold of you guys to let you know about problems and concerns ? I have called up their multiple times to get ahold of management and owners and nobody will answer my phone calls now and the time I did they said I was banned . Crazy . Have to better than that crunch.

Make sure you ask to clean the tanning beds yourself before you go in. The staff doesn't clean the inside tops or sides of the beds! I have gotten in and found body prints and other substances on the acrylics. CLEAN YOUR BED!

I came in today with my 3 kiddos, to restart our fitness journey and to complete enrollment. The rep that assisted us was Zack a personal trainer. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, if he was nervous or if our race was his issue, either or he was dry, wasn't really listening, kept stepping away before we was finished. I say that because myself and my oldest we're the new members and had to add my youngest 2 as our guest. There were other reps around, and the front was not that busy, to top it off he didn't tell us about the gym or what we can expect from the membership we chose didn't even give us a tour of the facilities, just nothing lol and I asked was there anything else after I had to get his attention for the 3rd/4th time since he had walked away from us again, mind you no one was in front of him and the phone wasn't ringing.
This review is only for the lack of customer service given by Zack. I was born here but I no longer live here, all I can say is Amarillo has changed a lot and trust me when I say that I don't mean that as a compliment.

The lockers are never cleaned. Half the work out machines are down. Always over crowded. One of the 2 hydrobeds has been out of order since I first joined 6 months ago. Thought maybe they were just lacking funding but then they recently redid their front counter. Soooo now I just think their priorities are all wrong. And can't complain to anyone bc crunch fitness doesn't have a number to talk to a person (don't believe me go to their website yourself they have a phone number but when You call it it says "these phone calls are not monitored" and then hangs up. Honestly only here bc I already paid my annual fee.

I love going here. The people & the environment is so chill and laid back. No one looks at you in judgement or disapproval. There are plenty of treadmills, stair masters, ellipticals, stationary bikes, never have to wait for equipment. It is clean, the staff is great. I feel very comfortable here. My favorite part? The hydro massage chair & the tanning beds are excellent! Choose Crunch!

Crooked. Rude. I've already left a review once and changed it after being told I would be refunded money. I never was. I canceled my membership. I have been charged AT LEAST 75 Dollars by crunch since March 20th. It is April 20th today. There were also suspicious charges drawn out immediately afterwards that added up to 120 dollars. There is somebody in the building scamming people. The manager fires the people that say anything about it, one of them is my neighbor. I should have listened to what the locals had said and never gone in the first place. They do not care about your health, they do not care about their machinery, they do not care about their cleanliness, and they do not care at all about your finances. Take from this what you will. I tried. For 6 months. I was charged less at contagion. Don't. Just. Dont.
