I recently visited this Crunch Fitness location using a valid VIP guest pass from my fiancé, who is a member. When I arrived, the front desk lady informed me I couldn’t use the pass because I “wasn’t a resident,” even though I just moved to Arlington and simply haven’t updated my ID yet.

On top of that, she told me the gym was closing soon, even though it was 6 PM, and they close at 7 PM. The whole interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional.

As someone who was genuinely excited to check out the gym and consider joining, this experience was really disappointing. Clear communication and better customer service would go a long way. I hope this is addressed so future guests are treated with respect.

Don’t gym here they will try to rip you off. I signed up when they say they have a promotion of one dollar for a month, which was only for two weeks. Then you will start paying $35 a month for three months before you can cancel. And the yearly will be charged already before you can cancel. And when I call the second month and try to cancel, they told me I can come in on the third month. And now that I call to come in before the 30th of the third month they told me I have to pay for the fourth month before I can’t cancel because I have to give notice of a 30 day which I called them last month and spoke to one of the worker who was supposed to note on there That I wanted to cancel so now they’re trying to make me pay another month which is the fourth month before I cancel they just trying to rip people off . Bad Business this is not right at all.

DO NOT be like me and fall for their “1¢ to sign up tactic” it’s bs! So I went to this gym for a 3- day free trail a week before I got surgery and at the end of your workout they harass you to buy a membership, I mentioned to them I was getting surgery next week and why I did not want to sign up. I had somewhere to be a they were taking up too much time so I just did it and also bc they stated I could put my membership on “hold” until after my surgery up to 6 months Worst decision ever! Bc fast forward to present they’ve charged me for
2 months and an annual fee, a total of $100 for attending a gym for 3 days? Is crazy so
Do not fall for their “deals” and plus it’s a small gym and ALWAYS packed no matter what time you go and their sauna is small, honestly
Go to fitness connection $10 membership and get access to all amenities and it might be full but they have LOTS of equipment

So the only reason I would ever leave a five star review for crunch is because of Grace, who I spoke to in Arlington around 420 Thursday, November 20 she is the most decent person I have ever met at any crunch I have ever been to.. crunch needs to hire more people with her attitude. I have not had any good experience with any crunch. They hire people that talk to you like shit and treat you like shit. they are completely fine talking shit about you too managers who have no idea you can hear everything and don’t tell them to stop. I don’t care if the manager does not realize it is you who they are talking about but the fact was I was degraded and spoke about horribly at the front desk in front of multiple people checking in and the manager did nothing. He let the person continue going on which was disgraceful. and the fact that managers never call you back.. So again shout out to Grace for being so amazing. CRUNCH… you need to give her a $$ and make her a manager!!🩷

Today I experienced quite possibly one of the worst customer service encounters that I've had my entire life. I've been attending this gym for a couple of months and decided to enroll in personal training. This started out ok but the quality quickly deteriorated. My trainer wasn't consistent and that gave me pause about continuing the sessions. I mentioned that I wanted to cancel my sessions to which he responded that I couldn't without first paying three months. This was not disclosed to me at the time that enrolled. He eventually left for another location without notifying me of any change. There are sessions that I didn't get that I paid for. Fast forward 30 days, I woke up to a charge on my account for $516. I decided to pay a visit to the gym which is where I met Justin, who claimed to be the regional manager. He has terrible customer service skills. He is condescending and thinks that if he uses a couple of SAT words that it validates his statements. He informed me that I was responsible for this charge for a service that I hadn't and would not use. I explained that I had no desire to continue the training and hadn't used the service for at least 30 days. His response to me was that I should select someone else to work with but that I wouldn't receive any refund for an empty service. Then he said that he would cancel the service for me so that I wouldn't be further charged as if he were doing me some favor. This isn't a full disclosure club and this is the type of deceitful and unethical behavior that causes distrust in corporations. I spoke with Houston at the front desk lastly and informed him that I wanted to cancel my membership to which he responded that I had to pay for an additional month before I could cancel my membership. If you are looking for a gym, stay away from this one at all cost. The leadership is substandard and Justin uses his "position" as a weapon to demean and mishandle clients. Look for another gym at least until Justin leaves. Crunch should know that you made a damaging choice for a regional manager.

Went to see about joining but wanted to see the gym first. Was told I could not see the equipment without a sales person. I did not want to have to deal with sales pitches when I know what I'm looking for. I just wanted to see if they have the right equipment that I like to train on. We would have signed up if allowed to walk 20 ft. The salesperson refused my entry for "insurance reasons" but then decided to verbally describe for me every machine instead of letting me just go look at them. It was absurd and demeaning. Like I was a five year old or something.

Be careful going here to join if there is a possible you will cancel. They hit me with a late fee because I had a new debt card to put on file with them. The told me they couldn't wave it.. I told them I wanted to cancel and she got an attitude and told me what I needed to do. I have disputed the charges and sent the letters called the gym.. a debt collector is now trying to collect over $200 from me. They don't make the cancellation process easy at all . Customer shouldn't have to fight to cancel something they don't want

The facility is great, the PT coaches themselves are great, and the cleanliness of the establishment is great. However, I was doing PT sessions and gave my trainer written AND verbal notice that I was discontinuing sessions. Well, my trainer left before he could actually cancel it and for 4 months Crunch was charging me for PT sessions that I did not receive and did not know I was being charged for. On top of that, no one told me my trainer left so they should not have been charging me anyways. It took forever to reach the PT manager while he was actually in the gym and could address my concern. Long story short, he issued the refund request and it never went through. He said that he’s never had that problem before and just kind of left it. But of course that’s a lot of money I was charged so I have bee contacting ABC fitness, calling the gym, and emailing the manager. I even went up there a few times. STILL I have not been issued my refund!!! I was nice, cordial and far too patient.

This gym is freaking amazing!! EMILY and the staff were awesome and Brendan was very helpful. Do not get a membership here if you ever plan on canceling it, I moved to a new city and can not simply walk into this location to cancel my membership. I have been disputing this for about year now and am still getting charged. I have sent the required letter requesting cancellation but still nothing, I have began sending the management email cease and desist letters as a way to document this horrible service, they will not even transfer my membership to the new city I am living in. By far one of the worst franchises to do business with!

Let it be known that all online memberships are semi-contract memberships. Crunch Fitness falsely advertises that about its month to month memberships . I signed up for a month to month membership on April 19th, and paid about $21.00 and then I found out about a nearer gym so I decided to cancel within the five days, I sent in an online form and never received any response. So I went back in person to cancel on May 6th. I was told that the all members must stay with the gym for 90 days before they cancel. Apparently that is the gym policy. it doesn't matter what you signed, the associate tried to check for that byline on the membership agreement I was emailed and couldn't find it, we even checked memberships for users that signed in the gym and that byline is still not there, he refused to submit my cancellation request, I was charged $18.00 for my next month dues and apparently they still plan to charge me about 50$ for gym maintenance fees. So I have been charged $ 39.00 for a gym I only used for less than 20 days with 50 remaining. The only remedy for me is to cancel my credit card, so that they cannot force a charge. Please be clear on your agreements what your fees are.

Absolutely terrible experience wouldnt recommend this gym but specially this location to my worst enemy. I cancelled personal training sessions here back in may in the months of june and july i kept getting attempted charges for the amount of $258 declined by my bank, called several times and the people i spoke with several times ensured me they have no idea whats going on and dont aww any reason im receiving these attempts the charges come through and i contact them in july speaking to a vanessa bonilla the training manager who tried to tell me Its for sessions from may,june, and July i informed her this was cancelled sent in my documents to her email and she ensured me she would be contacting her dm to get this corrected for me. 2more weeks and no refund issued.i call back now speaking to the gm who again is telling me he sees a refund but cant help me because they use separate systems for membership and training. Both my trainer, and vanessa no longer work here and everyone i have encountered has been giving me a run around from the gm braedon, the useless desk worker chris,the new training manager antwone who ensured me this would be handled gave me his personal cell which i get no reply and a keaton who all can seem to confirm my money is owed to me and allegedly refunded but cant provide me a receipt that shows its been issued to my bank and not a "club account" or any bit of consistent information. There is no communication between these people AT ALL each time you speak to them you repeat everything they have no sort of record or documentation clearly and have no problem charging you but you have to move a mountain to get your money back ! I have sense cancelled my regular membership as well as contacted the BBB and am looking into other options as well this is the worst experience ever save yourself and find another gym

Equipment out of order. Front desk person asking for likes on FB. Hours have changed and we get to the gym and the gym still closed when it should be open. Gym supposed to be open at 5am and no one is here gym goers lined up outside. Time to reevaluate and find a quality gym. That opens on time.
You can sure tell when management/ownership has changed. It used to be a genuine nice place to work out now it’s a people mill and it’s sales based. Got charged after our trainer quit or got let go.There was no communication about it at all. Then tried to just move us to another trainer without a proper introduction. I’m sure the owner will respond with oh I’m sorry you can come up here and we can sort it out. Or I’m sorry but they don’t really mean it.

I loved going here but have slowly started seeing things change I am a mom of 3 and one of my children is special needs so getting his medical supplies run me down with money and sometimes I’m barely making it by next pay period to make it to work…. So I’m late on my payment because i don’t get paid till 2 days later this was Tuesday I get paid on a Thursday … I was charged a late fee cool I get it… I understand that has to be done….but I have never been told by a gym I can’t workout even when I’ve told em multiple times I won’t be able to make the payment till I get paid in 2 days… yea I take money out my account to make sure I get the funds needed to make it to work. I come to relieve stress after working at a hospital to decompress. I like this gym but just kinda sad I couldn’t workout even tho I will pay it in 2 days…. Only had my membership for a month and already Interested In cancelling my membership. They have 1/4 of the gym blocked off EVEN WHEN NOT IN USE. The main purpose of this gym was the boxing bags. Rather go to the rec center, where they don’t have this ridiculous thing in place. Never encountered a gym where they DONT allow the amenities AND not 24hour. Save your money & TIME.

Nice gym BUT the music is so loud and can be obscene at times & noise canceling headphones doesn’t block it out. This is one of the reasons for my canceling my membership. Another reason for canceling my membership is because it says month month but you’re locked into 3 months and you have to give 30 days notice and there’s a yearly facility fee of $65 that gets charged in August. It ends up being too expensive and the contract is like gymnastics to deal with trying to get out of the membership. No thank you, to complicated, expensive, and noisy.

This gym has been great the past 2 years I’ve been here. Over the span of this year ( 2025) I’ve had countless issues from overbilling, them missing a billing session, random charges, things constantly messed up at the gym, the water being shut off the the gym with no warning, couldn’t flush toilets or wash hands, soap and toilet paper constantly missing, it’s just frustrating at this point. I pay money to come to a gym that isn’t raggedy but it’s just becoming a dreadful place.

When I first walked in everyone was so kind, so helpful and welcoming. Fast forward...I got a personal trainer and then my job without warning shut down. I signed a 6 month contract so I paid them over $1000 without even being able to use the service more than 3 sessions with no argument. I found a job on the other side of town, so I went up there to tell them that when I make my last payment on the contract I need the billing to stop because I am not renewing and I am working over an hour and a half away so I can't come back in person to stop it. They said they understood and I left thinking everything was worked out. Until, they took out another payment. I called and they basically said they'll stop the payments now but won't refund the money they took out. I emailed to speak to someone hire up 3 times and never got a response. Called multiple times, they kept saying they won't refund it. A year later I still could NEVER get my money back. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NOT GIVE IT BACK!

I’ve been going to Crunch for a few months now, and I have to say, the experience has been awesome—especially thanks to one of the staff members, Chris. Every time I walk in, he greets people with a positive attitude and actually seems to care about how your day’s going. He’s super helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to the equipment and workouts, and he doesn’t hesitate to offer tips if you look like you need a hand (without being pushy).

Chris really helps make the gym environment welcoming, especially if you’re newer or not super confident yet. He keeps the energy up and is always moving around making sure the place stays clean and organized, too.

Big props to Crunch for having someone like Chris on the team. It makes a difference!

Multiple reasons why I left the gym.
First once you sign up they pressure you to do a “free assessment” for their personal training. I did not like that. During that assessment the trainer kept asking very pointed questions about my weight. - which I understand this is a gym. But I felt like the questions could have been worded better. Also as a female I would have preferred to have the option to opt for a female trainer for said assessment. Needless to say I did not move forward with said personal training.
Once a month they do “member appreciation nights” which I have never felt less appreciated. I do not like not being able to hear my music or tv show with my noise cancelling headphones due to the Dj in the gym just BLARING music. When I emailed my concern the response was “that’s how we show appreciation to our members”
Yah okay.
Other issue is with billing, I had a credit card compromised and I totally forgot to update it. Of course day 6 I get a text from them. I go into update it and they tell me I’m hit with a $15 late payment fee… I told them I was just notified of the payment issue.. and the lady at the front desk was like “well it goes from our 3rd party billing company and there is nothing we can do about it”

There is to many people who come to the gym in crocs or pajamas and just hang around the machines. I never see them using them.

I will be making the 45 minute drive to absolute recomp in FW. The workers there are much nicer and everyone actually cares about working out.

My faithful home gym was out of commission for a couple of months, so I tried Crunch Fitness—and ended up really liking it. Super clean with wipe stations everywhere, lots of equipment (free weights, machines, cardio), and friendly staffs.

I go in the mornings (7–8 AM), and it’s always clean. The month-to-month plan was easy to cancel—just filled out a form and someone followed up. Smooth experience overall!
