Will not come back and neither will my wife. We joined this gym because it's close to our house and at first it was worth the money but not anymore.The trainers like to try to flirt and do not take there jobs seriously. Rescheduling has been almost every time that my wife had a workout planned and it's hard enough to find the time to workout so to reschedule is even harder with work and our kid. On top of that I do not appreciate my wife's trainer contacting her late in the night asking to reschedule while trying to talk to her about stuff that doesn't have anything to do with her training. I would have taken this complaint to management but my wife overheard that even management is inappropriate with paying members. Will not be coming back or paying these people anymore money.

Soooo shady. For the last year they have take 28 and some change (when i signed up it was 25 p/month) plus additional charges. When I looked today the additional charges were not noted on my account. It accounts for as little as $180- $240 additional that i never agreed to.
I called earlier in the year to cancel but was told to go in. I hadnt gotten a chance. Today i called again after seeing that my account didn't reflect the additional charges. I was told i had to pay an additional fee of 59.50 (annual fee) to cancel. I paid an annual fee for this past year plus more and they refuse to let me cancel unless I pay for another year of membership?!? Like what? I asked why they couldn't understand that I've paid more than the 59.50 over this past year. And she refused to acknowledge the fact that i paid extra but for some reason their system doesn't reflect all the money they have taken from my account. I would have to go with bank statements to prove to them they have been stealing from me.
To top it off. The recording while being on hold says you can freeze or cancel online. But they a currently undergoing changes that dont let you. And again the system won't let them cancel my account until I have paid that additional 59.50 for a 2nd year annual fee.... which i will NOT be using the 2nd year.
Beware. This is fraudulent behavior.

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to! Audrey was amazing! She helped my boyfriend and me get signed up, answered all of our questions, and really knew her stuff. I also did a kickoff session with the personal trainer, Andrew, and he was great at helping me set goals and figure out the best way to reach them. The whole team makes you feel seen and supported. Not month to month. I cancelled my membership by email and submitted the online form to cancel my membership twice and they called to tell me that even though they just took payment, they’re going to take another payment before they cancel. I told her I locked my card, I’m not in a contract, and I am not giving them any more money and they threatened collections. Do what you gotta do. You will never see another dime from me.

Attempted to use thank you to nurses week free trial pass which states good to use if you not used a guest pass within 30 days. I did use a guest pass under someone’s membership over a year ago. The front desk person with facial piercings named Valerie said once you go inside a gym even once you are no longer able to use a free pass. My pass I received via email stated the current date and Valerie still refused to honor and did I either have to pay the day pass or sign up for membership. Paid the one day membership and had a horrible experience under her management. All other workers were great just wish Valerie didn’t make me feel bad for trying to get a membership.

This location used to be another chain gym. When I was looking for a gym to stop into, this one was the closet., When I pulled into the parking lot, I laughed because I realized I had worked out here before when it a different franchise.

The place was well stocked with equipment. I was impressed that it was not very crowded at all. I also did not run into the same cast of characters that I usually do - a bunch of young kids who are "camped out" on 3 machines and forget even trying to grab dumbbells or free weights because they are "doing a set" when they are just been sitting posing in front of the mirror the whole time you are working out. I quickly navigated to my usual workout, knock it out and went off to use the aqua massage,. The young lady working overnights was nice. She did make sure I was able to get a massage bed.

I am glad to see Crunch took over this location. It was a little far from the hotel I was staying at, but well worth the drive. I know it is not the fault of the owner, but would love to see more options for protein bars and drinks. There is a cooler and they do sell "Do It" projects. Crunch is sitting on a goal mine if they would sell cases of energy drinks, pre workout from different companies and what not.

The front desk staff makes it very hard to miss a workout. When I walk in I’m greeted by nothing but smiles and positive energy!

When I have rest days I feel like I’m letting them down and I don’t know why.

I’d like to highlight Miss Kimberly (I think that’s how you spell it) She had solutions for all my concerns and makes every visit an amazing experience.

The gym is super clean. There’s plenty of room to get your workout in even during their busiest hours. The price is unbeatable. The environment is perfect for anyone from beginner to professional.

I’ve been going to multiple gyms in the area and I’ve officially found my main gym.

I’m tired of playing around with all the other gym’s feelings.

If I keep leading the other gym’s on then what kind of man does that make me?

I could workout in a different gym each day but deep down am I even truly getting a pump?

I’ve been coming here consistently for about 3-4 weeks now. My husband and I used to go to the gym regularly in San Antonio but when we moved here we fell off the wagon. Everyone is super nice. I absolutely love the group fitness and it motivates me everyday to meet my goals. Melissa and Charlotte are my favorite instructors and they give plenty of modifications for beginners so nothing is ever really intimidating. They deserve a huge raise and round of applause for all the amazing work they do.

I’ve had a great experience with the group fitness classes at Crunch North! I’ve been attending 2 group strength training classes a week in addition to using the elliptical other days of the week. In the five months since I started the strength training classes, I can tell I am building muscle! I previously couldn’t do pushups or planks with weaker upper body strength but am able to do them now. The instructor, Leah Rae, makes the classes fun and not intimidating. Highly recommend!

I was a member since the doors opened. Was literally there for ribbonn cutting, gyms been ok not really to many complaints, until they got this new manager that is their now and oriental man don't know the name exactly, chi,chou, well as a MANAGER you would think he would greet you as you come in the door making you feel welcomed, he is very rude, never ever as smiled i. Don't think, has yelled at his employees in front of us members, has billed my card incorrectly numerous times, charged me 25$ for 1 water and 15$ for 1 protein shake, and when asked to correct it, he was mad like his card got charged. Fast frwd. I go to this gym almost every morning, I decided to go late night first time, worst mistake ever. I took my son with me which I have a few times, well the worker Nikki would not let me in with my child, mind you in a paying member! I started asking why, and if she could explain why they let him come work out with me day time, why is it a problem at night, she informed me that she was going too get with the day time staff and let them know they are not doing their job correctly, so I asked her if she was a manager she answered no and says ma'amI'm done with you have a good night and says i can't work out. And as she walks off says, at least I'll be able to enjoy the gym tonight! And you won't! good night... so I call in the am to report to manager same one that's rude, well I explain he says ma'am I'm going to cancel your membership because you were yelling at my employee..ok but your employees can yell at me??? I'm the paying member, well he says ma'am my employees don't lie🤣 sure just like you don't over charge me every month on something.. and cancel my membership. And had the audacity to still charge my card for next month. Like seriously this is a joke. Never would i ever think a paying member would me treated like this.. don't recommend to people. And especially if you don't like walking around and gym where people work out bare foot.....freedom way better and cheaper.... and he hung up on me when I was trying to tell him not to charge my card if the revoked my membership..if I really wanted to I could go into my contract and they can't cancel me simply because they want to. I would advise going to a different location if possible! Some people are absolute machine hogs and move at a snails pace using the machines. A real big problem when there is only one of that kind. And I'm not even talking about old people, even they tend to move faster than these guys. Not to mention people literally lounging on the machines and taking selfies. Seriously annoying, like anyone cares, you look like an eejit chasing attention. Hogging the machines for up to half an hour. Not only that but them doing geriatric workout sessions at peak times of the day is ridiculous. Taking forever on machines and then doing stretch sessions before finally leaving after hogging the machine for more time just to do stretches by it. Inform your trainers better to move out of the way if they're done with the machines.

My wife and I started going to Crunch (North) not too long ago and from our first night and every day/night that has followed we’ve truly loved going to this gym, it’s been what I look forward to most (aside from seeing my wife after work of course)… which is wild because I usually avoid gyms due to the stigma surrounding them. Every day we’ve gone the front desk team and the trainers are always so welcoming. The energy in this gym is genuinely welcoming, and it’s the first time I actually feel comfortable going to the gym. So thank you to the entire team there for that.

Not seeing my other review…. This place is ok. The issue is management and definitely going to be a hassle for you to cancel if you already moved. The majority of these good reviews are clearly fake, somehow these people live all over but have a membership to this specific gym… get real. They’re paying for the good to pad the bad. So if you forget to cancel before you move, they’ll want you to write a letter like it’s 1945 or drive down. Then they’ll remind you that they’re still going to charge you since they try to squeeze one last month out of you with a 30 day notice. Then they’ll act like they’re doing you a favor by not charging the annual fee when you’re trying to cancel. The customer service is a joke and they need to work on customer interaction.

The facility is great. I’ve been to tons of gyms here in corpus and this is hands down the best one here, it can get crowded at times but that’s just because corpus is continuously growing. The staff is very helpful and the place is always clean

I got a membership at Crunch for the variety of classes available to me at all hours of the day. Decided to take advantage of a personal Trainer promotion offered with my membership and I could not be happier. I train with Emily on Mondays and greatly appreciate her attention to my physical needs as she is a great motivator when I feel meh about working out. I feel physically stronger and am proud of my body’s ability to accept the challenges put in front of me by the coach.

Stepped on my work property without permission and placed flyers on windsheild. It rained and stuck to everyone's windshields. They seem incompetent business wise. Would be extra careful using their services.

Edit: NOPE... still feel the same. You know if someone stuck something on the windows of your organization without your permission and it damaged it you could press charges on the person right. That is EXACTLY what I should have done back then. Filed a police report and and pressed charges. And I feel your smiley face at the end of your reply is condescending.

Gym memberships are a waste of money. Invest in your own equipment and get educated on nutrition and exercise.

They’ve all been nice and helpful. If you want to get into shape they will help you get there. They’re very knowledgeable and will assist you in your journey. I’m very happy with the way things are going. Results do take time but I’m very patient and dedicated. I’m so grateful with crunch team for putting up with my stubbornness. I don’t understand why there are bad reviews. You need to go and try it for yourself.

They expect you to wipe the equipment off after using but they were out of paper towels at most of their stands. Spent so much time looking for paper towels. Then after a month they wouldn’t let me cancel, without charging their anual fee and another monthly fee. What a huge rip off!!! That’s how they make their money… by robbing you and telling you it’s in that extremely long contract that you signed. They claim no contract but they will take as much money from you all in the name of a contract you signed

I've been a member for about 3 years now, and I really love how many different machines and anemities are available. The staff are always friendly and helpful and make me feel welcomed. The gym is always clean and well kept. I've never had any issues here at this gym.

Management is terrible they can't complete the simplest tasks or follow up as a courtesy I've been trying to transfer from a different crunch and downgrade my membership since June. It just got completed recently only by the means of constantly hounding management. Shane with regional management called but there is no record of the call nor did he leave a message. Gym would be better if they had better management.

Update November 2nd 2022 after speaking to Shane, he assured me everything would be adjusted about a month ago. He upgraded me to the top tier instead of the basic. Again I stand with my previous review management is worthless.

Far and away the unfriendliest staff I have ever encountered. When I walked in today they entire group of four staff members looked at me like I was from Mars. Not one of them greeted me.

Having come the Killeen location and interacting with Cindy and her staff. Huge disappointment.

Great gym, so nice and welcoming. I can always tell when the blonde cleaner is working because she details the women’s locker room so thoroughly. She is constantly rushing around doing stuff and keeps busy like a bee. Always has a kind smile and I’ve seen her help out the check in desk when needed. People like her and Chris are always so helpful and make me want to keep coming back.

I have gone to many gyms before who claim to care about their clients and it becomes clear that is not the case. As someone who is overweight I have anxiety going to the gym, but I never feel judged when I come in here to the Corpus Christi location. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager and having him show me the entire location and since then, he welcomes me in by name and says goodbye every time I see him. His team is there to take care of you, and I truly believe that. I did what I believe is called a crunch one kick off with a personal trainer named Aaron. He went above and beyond to show me he cared about me not only as a potential client, but as a person. Aaron was kind and considerate and tried his very best to make me comfortable the entire time. I have never had such a wonderful experience at a gym. Exceptional, above and beyond.
