Why is this gym having ANOTHER open gym week from November 24-27, after they had one back in September? Could it be that they are LOSING gym members AFTER they did something so STUPID and CHANGED their weekend hours - closing early on Fridays and CLOSING DURING THE DAY ON SATURDAYS WHILE OTHER GYMS ARE OPEN?

Instead of having "open gym weeks", here's a better idea - go back to the hours you used to have. Close at 10pm on Fridays, open at 7am on Saturdays and Sundays and close at 8pm. Working people don't want to leave work at 5pm, only to feel rushed or get in a mediocre workout because this gym closes at 7:30pm on Fridays. Saturdays DURING THE DAY are the best days to work out for working people. Open your gym back up instead of having "open gym week".

If you don't want to compromise and do that, then you deserve the negative reviews you get and you deserve to lose business.

Don't believe all these fake reviews that suddenly showed up during open week during September 15-19. Here is what you need to know: This gym closes early on Fridays, and is closed DURING THE DAY on Saturdays, and their hours on these two days will often change during the year due to owner's religious beliefs to coincide with the sunset times on these two days. Serious gym bros like to train on Friday nights after work and on Saturdays DURING THE DAY. Training late evening on Saturday nights is for losers.

And as a result of these hour changes, this gym gets PACKED on Sundays when it used to not be, it gets packed during the week because members are trying to make up that lost Saturday they didn't work out, and a lot of them PACK UP Crunch Pharr during the day on Saturdays.

Just cancel your membership if you don't like Saturday hours. There are OTHER GYMS in the nearby area that are OPEN DURING THE DAY on Saturdays. Why do you need to come to THIS GYM IN PARTICULAR? Anyone saying they choose this gym for the "location" - Gold's Gym is right down the street. So is TruFit. Other gyms are nearby. The "location" excuse is a poor excuse.

The people running their social media disable comments after announcing their new hours. Band together and cancel rather than continuing to give them your money and whining. Unfortunately, we have too many stupid people here that are willing to SETTLE FOR LESS.

There is a review here that says this gym is open 24 hours. This gym is NOT open 24 hours. This gym closes at 7:30PM on Fridays and re-opens at 8PM on Saturdays evenings. This gym USED TO close at 10PM on Fridays and would open at 7AM on Saturdays and close at 8PM.

The new hours are due to the owner's "religious beliefs", where work is traditionally prohibited from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday.

Gym members usually wouldn't start packing the place on Friday evenings until past 6PM. Now that this gym closes at 7PM on Fridays, the new hours are inconvenient for members. A lot of them also want to train DURING THE DAY on Saturdays; not in the evenings or at night. The new hours resulted in Sundays being more crowded, when Sundays used to be slower before noon. This also resulted in Friday early evenings becoming more crowded and Edinburg members going to Crunch Pharr during the day on Saturdays, resulting in THAT gym becoming more crowded.

People there don’t know “gym etiquette” one lady kept arguing that she was using 4 different machines at a time and we couldn’t use them. Then she started hogging the stupid attachments. The people here suck & management doesn’t do anything. Stuff is always breaking and it’s limited as it is, so someone hogging 4 cable areas ends up messing up the whole vibe there.

Leaving honest feedback bc I don’t need a free Alani 🙄 Lately, women staff, most afternoon male staff, and cleaning crew are great! They’re the reason I’m not leaving 1 star.

However, go at night and staff can be rude IF they pay attention to you at all. They’re great friends with a cliquey bunch of 3 guys (one guy with a ponytail) who berate you or tell you to get away from equipment they were “reserving” for their buddies. They’re extremely loud and can be heard from far away even with noise cancelling headphones. They’ll be in the gym for at least 2 hours hogging machines and socializing and you can’t say anything bc they’re friends with staff. It’s definitely not comfortable or judgement free when you actively have to do your best to stay away from men like that in a gym environment.

The gym is also so dirty on the weekends and at nights. The paper towel dispensers usually don’t have paper towels or liquid but only on weekends. It doesn’t bother me that staff doesn’t greet or say goodbye, but they sometimes even look at you as an inconvenience. I wish I could stick to daytime hours but due to my work schedule, I can’t. It’s not the staffs fault they’re not paid enough to care. I’ve seen what they pay and honestly feel bad for the employees.

I also had an uncomfortable interaction with a personal trainer who was supposed to do my body scan but ended up trying to sell me personal training over the phone before I even went in for the body scan. I couldn’t get the yearly body scan without promising I was willing to consider buying personal training sessions. It’s uncomfortable and frustrating. The yearly body scan is supposed to be a perk for the second tier of membership but we can’t get it without being guilted into purchasing personal training sessions. I try to be positive about coming to the gym but there’s very little to be positive about when it comes to Crunch Edinburg.

Also, they claim to be open 24/7 and that is false advertisement. Friday night to Saturday night is closed because of the owner’s religious beliefs.

I’ve been a loyal member at Crunch Edinburg for over 2 years and never had an issue until recently. A trainer unfairly singled me and my guest out, physically touched me without consent, and tried to stop us from training even though we weren’t breaking any rules. When I attempted to report this, instead of addressing the problem, the owner raised his voice and made false claims that I was harassing members which is completely untrue. These accusations are nothing more than an attempt to cover up staff misconduct and the gym’s high employee turnover. Members deserve a safe, fair, and respectful environment, not intimidation, false accusations, or mismanagement. Until real changes are made, I cannot recommend this location.

I am very disappointed with this business. They advertised a promotion online that was not honored the way it was described. On top of that, they began withdrawing money from my account without clearly stating that this would happen in the promotion details. This feels misleading and dishonest.

When I joined, I was told there’d be no cancellation fee. Later my card expired and I was hit with late fees, but a staff member said he’d waive them after I updated my card and told me I was good to go. For two weeks I checked in with no issues, then suddenly another staff member said I had late fees, same late fee price and made me re-enter my card, and charged me late fees and a cancellation fee. I love Crunch just not this location. The time I went all the employees were “new” and had no knowledge. The manager stays in her office and has know ownership of her gym. Disappointed in the Edinburg Location

I’ve been a Crunch member for a while and never had an issue, until I visited the Edinburg location. I was in town for a few days and tried working out at different times to give it a fair shot. Unfortunately, the experience was consistently disappointing.

The facility is disorganized, cluttered, and not well maintained. Several machines were out of order, and the cleanliness throughout the gym left a lot to be desired. I also ran into issues with inaccurate membership information, something I’ve never dealt with at other Crunch locations.

The biggest issue is the staff. Most were either standing around chatting or disengaged entirely. For example, I saw a mom struggling to enter the gym with two kids while four staff members were hanging out by the front door, none of whom offered to help her. There’s also a serious lack of basic courtesy, no greetings when you walk in, no farewells when you leave. It was honestly surprising this was branded as a Crunch Fitness gym. A couple of employees were kind and professional, but they were the exception.

Another red flag: some of the “personal trainers” were visibly out of shape and not what you’d expect from fitness professionals. It doesn’t instill confidence in the services they’re offering.

On the plus side, there’s a nice selection of beverages and snacks, and Crunch’s membership pricing overall is a good value. But this location doesn’t live up to that standard. Poor management, a lack of customer service, and general neglect make it a hard pass for me.

Would never recommend again to anyone, they sign you up under misleading and false pretenses either Child Care. They told me it was 2 children per Peak results Membership. And now when I wanted to utilize they told me no that its never been that way when everyone has confirmed otherwise, and they get away with it by saying "its a Franchise" . I love their classes. Their trainers are very nice. One in particular remembers my name and calls on me when I do her class to let me know I'm doing good. The HIIT classes are challenging but are worth it. They make you break a sweat and I'm not one who typically sweats easily. This fitness center has a big problem: they never exchange air inside. So many people do hard physical exercises and deep breaths all the time. Inside, it is almost sealed without any ventilation, never exchanging air. People breathe the same air again and again and again. I can even feel the less oxygen in there.

Not only dirty air but also all different kinds of virus in the air. I got flu from this place. I got terrible headaches and body aches for a few weeks.

Music has lots of profanity. A female manager was on duty playing some pretty vulgar music. Gym only has two speakers that play really loud by the weights so you will hear the music even through your headphones. If it wasn’t for this, this is actually one of my favorite gyms to go to. I love that they offer a variety of machines, free weights, and functional training areas, making it easy to switch up my workouts. The atmosphere is motivating, with great music and a mix of people at all fitness levels.

If I could leave no stars I would leave no stars. I am a peak results member and only at this location am I not allowed to take my kids to the kids club. Apparently because it is not my home gym. But every time I travel around Texas, I am able to take my kids to the different kids clubs. Their policies are pathetic, and I only can think of it being a reflection of the owners.

Love front girls Abby and Angela! They make my day every time I go in to workout! Overall it is an amazing gym, it’s always clean and the people are nice. I like that I can workout with no worries.

Switched to Crunch - Edinburg about a year ago. One of the best decisions so far! I love the community and environment here, the music is bumping, and the staff is always so friendly. Especially Angela! She always greets everyone with a smile. I love this gym. Zero complaints.

I came from a different gym but the atmosphere and personnel are incredible which ultimately led to me staying! Angela and Nohemi are extremely welcoming, helpful, and always in good spirits! Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area!
