had an amazing experience at Crunch Fitness – Cinco Ranch, thanks to Tyler, (manager.) His customer service was absolutely outstanding—warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Earlier that day I had scouted three different gyms in the area, and this location immediately stood out above the rest. The equipment is clean, the layout is great, and the entire space has an impressive setup.
Because of Tyler’s excellent customer service and the overall positive experience, I signed up for a membership right away. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Katy/Cinco Ranch area. Truly five-star service and environment!

This gym is NOT open 24hrs. They have the most inconsistent hours of operation I’ve ever seen. Recently moved to the area and this is by far the worst Crunch I’ve been to. Machines/equipment are constantly broken and take forever to get fixed. For example, the steam room was out of service since I started going in July (who knows how long it was broken before that) it was finally fixed this past week. My first week there 2/6 of the Stair master machines were broken along with 4 other machines. As of yesterday half of the cable machines are damaged/broken. Oh and the staff….yea I think only one person actually greets you, everyone else just ignores you or they are too busy talking amongst themselves. I really don’t recommend this gym, wish I could cancel my membership but it has to be cancelled at the gym you joined at. I tried transferring my membership but of course no response to that either.

I want to recognize Jordan (Customer Rep or Assistant Manager) for providing truly outstanding service. I called the gym with an important question, and even though he had the answer, he insisted on going above and beyond to verify the details for 100% accuracy.
He took the time to confirm the information and then made sure to follow up with me promptly. This level of diligence and dedication is exceptional. Hands down, Jordan is a phenomenal asset to this gym and a prime example of excellent customer care!

HORRIBLE! DO NOT GET MEMBERSHIP THERE! I’ve come up to Crunch Fitness three times trying to cancel my membership.
1st visit: staff refused to cancel since its their "job" to keep as much memberships as possible
2nd visit: no manager available, so they suspended it.
3rd visit: heated conversation, finally canceled — was told my last charge would only be the $60 annual fee.
Now I’m seeing extra charges $47 + $18 even after canceling. I’m on a birthday trip and can’t afford this. I’ve tried to handle it respectfully, but this has been a frustrating experience. I shouldn’t have to come up there a fourth time to fix a mistake. Its Gotten to the point where i have emailed their district manager. THIS WILL BE ESCALATED!

I have been going to crunch for almost 3 months now. Upon first entrance, the place looks nice, clean, and well organized. Maybe it was just the day that I signed up that was a good day but every single day since, there has been something broken or out of order. Whether it’s a restroom stall (or all of them), or random machines just not working for weeks. (Lateral machines) I’ve had constant issues but today was my last straw. Had another gym member cuss me out and verbally assault me, because she claims I “walked by where she was recording” and after looking for help. Not a single employee walked over to intervene. Instead I had one employee tell me not to pay it any attention as she was pregnant. My sincerest apologies, but I go to a gym to work out and enjoy myself, not to have to walk around eggs shells hoping I don’t get in anybody’s video. If that was the case I’d be working out at a studio. So I fail to see how this member being pregnant gives her the right to explode, make a scene, and verbally assault me, without a single thing being done about it, all because of the excuse that she was pregnant. I’ve already terminated any business with you all and would appreciate it if this was investigated further, so it doesn’t happen to any of your future members.

I had a really disappointing experience at Crunch recently. During my workout, two people got into an altercation, and instead of the employees stepping in to calm things down or handle the situation professionally, they just stood around and laughed about it. It was uncomfortable and honestly made me feel unsafe being there. I really wish the staff had done more to de-escalate things instead of ignoring it. Management seriously needs to do a better job training their employees on how to handle situations like this — it reflects really poorly on the gym.

Was told by a staff member they’d cancel my membership if I didn’t hear back from the management after emailing them since I no longer live near this gym after a week of not hearing back from the manager I called back and was told they couldn’t do it anymore and would have to wait and hear back from them after they spoke to the manager again. Such a ridiculous process to cancel.

I’m so angry! I went for one month, but then I didn’t have time to go anymore. I went in person and told them to cancel my membership. They told me it was done. But the next day, I saw that they charged my card. When I called, they gave me some excuse. I clearly said I had canceled my membership, but they claimed there was no such request. They took my money and wasted my time like I’m a fool. Now I have to waste more time going there again just to cancel my membership!! This is ridiculous.

I’ve been going to this gym for about 2 years. The staff is always very friendly and the environment is always clean. Carson is a great asset to the team, very helpful, and respectful. What I appreciate most is that he consistently maintains a professional and personable attitude without ever crossing boundaries which is important to me especially as a woman going to the gym. His positive energy is always consistent, and it genuinely makes a difference in my gym experience.
Carson is a great example of what great customer service and professionalism look like. I always feel comfortable asking questions or for help when he’s around.

Whichever lady was working at the front desk at 10:40pm needs some kind of reevaluation. After a bunch of ‘what’s and having to repeat my number 4 times, I couldn’t even make it past using my 7 day pass which I’d already signed up for beforehand. What pissed me off the most was the constant telling me to speak up though speaking at half of my volume and the intentional pause and blank stare after repeatedly telling her I’m already signed up looking at me dumbfounded. Please either have her drug tested or her position reevaluated cuz sitting on a chair on your phone and chatting with your boyfriend is just being there to collect money, not work. Genuinely not even gonna get a membership here

Honestly spend your money somewhere else. They’ll try and scam you out of late fees even when your membership is paid. Ive been dealing with this for over a week now, and they won’t let you cancel your membership if you don’t pay their faulty late fees. My payment was pulled out of my account on the 10th, I even showed them my bank statements and they still are claiming I owe a late fee from the 14th!! Amped fitness just opened in Katy and I’m switching to them, they’re a far better gym anyways and they aren’t shady with random fees that nobody can explain to me!!

I need to cancel the membership , I’ve asked for it like 5 times and the African American guy with braids hairstyle that works on the counter he had told me like 5 times that he already cancelled the membership but when I get into the app it still shows that the membership is active, they don’t even show me a proof of the cancellation, I guess that the only option is to switch my credit card information so they won’t charge me anymore, also be aware because not only they ask you to provide your credit card, they also want your account number and routing number.
I was exercising with my friend today 04/30/2025 and around 9:30-9:35am an employee who didn't even have a crunch shirt approached us, a bald African-American man, he came towards us all aggressive and with a loud voice telling us why we put the 40 lb weight where the 20 lb weight should be at, it should be noted that he didn't even ask if we were the ones who put it there, when clearly we weren't , we were using the 22.5 lb and the 27.5 lb. I pay for the highest cost membership and still received unpleasant bad service from that employee who yelled at us and blamed us without even asking if it was us (when it wasn't), and interrupted me while I was doing the repetitions of my exercise.

Just finished a three month course of training with Robert Butler. 100% recommend Robert and this gym. When I started I felt weak and didn’t know what I was doing. He got me on track with not only specific workouts but also my nutrition! Now my friends and myself can’t believe the results. I’m strong and in the right corse to getting even stronger. This gym truly sucks, the service is terrible. i’m a minor and had grown workers try to hit on me as i’m walking out the gym, the bathrooms are disgusting, workers only let people in whenever they feel like it, even if they have a membership, & the doors are broken and machines act up this gym just comes off as ghetto. i wouldn’t recommend at all

if i could give this gym a 0 star I definitely would , i been to many gyms but i never felt as disrespected as i did today. came in today with a membership signed up from my father and paid from myself. put my father on the line so he can give them the notice of approval but they still weren’t cooperative. on top of that i been doing this everyday since last summer just to be disrespected and not let in one day , Tyler smith really isn’t a good worker to do this 😬 now another reason this gym deserves a 0 star rating is that i see kids vaping all over machines and in the locker room , i see male workers steady flirting with under age girls and on their phones , water fountains water is not filtered properly , steam room had bugs in it , many lockers have cleaning equipment so I can’t even store things , I seen orange peels in a toilet ??? Crunch Katy got some issues with their staff and environment and if you’re looking to get a membership here just know around 4-8 it’s crowded and you can’t even find a machine.

It is a cheap gym and You get what you pay for. The locker rooms are always dirty. Have been going for over a month and one out of three urinals is broken. Nobody flushes the other 2. Gym equipment is nice though. Sales guys are nice and funny but they need training on their different packages.

Really Disappointed with Crunch Fitness
I’m honestly so upset right now. I canceled my membership over Eight months ago, and I just found out they’ve still been charging me this whole time. I trusted that everything was handled when I canceled properly, and now I feel completely taken advantage of.
It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with something like this—especially when you’re trying to do the right thing and follow their process. I expected better from a place that promotes health and trust.
I just want my money back and for this to be made right. This whole situation has left a really bad taste in my mouth.

I’m furious. I canceled my membership over Eight months ago, and they’re still charging me like I never left. I followed their cancellation process to the letter, and yet they keep dipping into my account like it’s no big deal.
This isn’t a mistake—this is straight-up shady business. I feel scammed. And trying to get ahold of someone who actually fixes it? Good luck with that.

5:30 am and no one is here to open the gym. Their hours say it opens at 5am on Monday’s so it’s extremely annoying and inconvenient to drive to the gym just for it to not be open, due to this management being incompetent. I will be moving on from crunch cause this unacceptable.

All the reviews about the impossibility of cancelling or freezing are correct. They have charged me after I cancelled and requested freeze. I have emailed the manager per the employee at the front desk instruction since I am physically out of state to go cancel in person and just got ghosted. The staff was nice, however, they said that the process will be as easy as emailing. I have disputed with my credit card company and will storm the place if I have to if they keep charging me after my call tomorrow…

I should have read the reviews before joining! All the negative reviews are correct. They are crooks! They have charged me after I cancelled and they told me they wouldn’t. I have emailed the owner with no response. Definitely don’t respect their clients or know how to run a business. Very disappointed that they can’t even respond to my email. The staff was nice, however, they are the ones that said I wouldn’t be charged anymore…… I would discourage anyone from joining the Katy location.

My experience with this gym has been nothing short of a NIGHTMARE. I signed up at another location in another state with the understanding my membership would transfer to this location, which would be my home location. This was evidently not the case because the membership never transferred. The staff and management was incredibly unhelpful, so unable to access my full member benefits, I chose to cancel. THEY DO NOT LET YOU CANCEL. I have been trying to cancel this membership since OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR. Between disputing with credit card companies, constant badgering of my phone and email, and the fact that I feel incredibly lied to by the staff at both this location and the out of state one regarding my membership status and benefits, I would NEVER recommend this gym to my worst enemy. I recommend 24/hour fitness, Lifetime, the YMCA, or literally anywhere that is not this tangerine of a gym. I feel like at this point this gym has turned into a stalker I cannot get rid of. DO NOT GO HERE.

Well, let me tell you that tonight I experienced, almost experienced a robbery of my personal belongings. While in the sauna a couple stayed near my things, they spend 20min standing and looking at my wallet. The gentleman leaned over, grab my belongings like no one was there, I got out to request my funny pack back because he was about to leave the premises like nothing was happening. The funny part is that a gym employee saw everything while seating beside me in the sauna, he only laughed at it.

Initially the facility was great, but now it's just a severely over crowded space with about half the equipment working. It takes forever for machines to be fixed. About half of the treadmills don't work correctly. They'll turn on and you can't increase the speed. I noticed since what seems like the manager(light skinned lady, short curly hair, tattoos) left, the whole place sucks. My workout times have doubled from the equipment and crowding.

The men’s locker room is always filthy. The machines break and it takes on average at least 6 weeks for them to be repaired from what I’ve noted. 1 out of the two water fountains is currently out of service, it’s been like that since the beginning of December. It is always crowded, my 45 minute workout takes twice the time to finish due to overcrowding.

You know this gym is awful when I’m leaving a review.
Equipment - they have a great blend of equipment but a majority of their equipment is always broken.
They have 4 rowers - 2 have been broken since I joined in July of 2023. 3rd one broke about 7 months ago - still not fixed.
Cable machines - cable ropes are broken, carabiners are missing for half of the attachments so even if the cable rope was in good condition you can’t attach anything to it. When I bring this to the staffs attention they state people keep stealing them. I’m sorry you can buy a 12 pack of these babies off amazon for $20 bucks.
Leg extension - there are two but the fan favorite that everyone loves to use is guess what? BROKEN. One of the adjustment doesn’t latch so people stuff paper towels in the latch so the machine is functional.
Cleanliness - as many reviewers have stated this place is not kept clean. There has been a trash stain in the “dark room” AKA the group fitness room for 9 months now. Again told the staff - even offered to mop the damn floor myself. I stretch in that room pretty regularly and every damn day I have to stare at this trash stain.
The HIIT turf - please don’t put your barehands on this floor - you may catch a disease.
I avoid using the bathrooms - just there to wash my hands and quickly make my exit.
The crowd - I’m okay with the gym being busy. I go around the peak time - I get it. What is quite bothersome is a baseball team that comes in and crowds the HIIT space, machines, etc. it’s about 15-20 young kids that are wandering around, no spacial awareness, just goofing off, getting in others way, and receiving no guidance from their pompous coach.
Staff - they are great people - friendly but honestly they don’t care. And I get that - why care if your manager or corporate doesn’t care?
I have completed surveys, I’ve asked to be contacted about my experience but nothing. I brought 3 memberships to crunch fitness and myself and those 3 others will be looking for a new gym.

Dishonest staff. My brother signed up for personal training sessions with 4 one hours sessions. The price was great for that time commitment. Once he began, the trainers told him his training sessions included 3 thirty minute sessions. My brother checked with the front desk and they informed him my brother’s original plan was the correct one. On my brother’s second training session, the team brought back the dishonest session amounts. A business that prioritizes customer loyalty and experience, wouldn’t be able to justify treating their customers in such a dishonest and unruly manner.

Been coming here for almost two years and it was great at first but now it’s getting worse by the day. Today was my last straw.
All of the bathrooms do not work! And all the water fountains do not work either! It’s been like this for weeks!!! First time ever complaining to the front desk and that person said it’s a plumbing issue and will be like this for the next two weeks if they’re lucky…
What if I had to use the restroom? Or take a sip of water? On top of that, I left my shaker at home so it’s incredibly hard to workout without drinking liquids in between my sets. I even asked the front desk surely they’ll reimburse me for any water bottles I grab from their fridge and they said no!
Frankly, I’m embarrassed for the whole facility. Whoever owns this franchise at this location should be ashamed. I’m going to cancel my membership ASAP and go to EOS - which is a way nicer gym and is the same price!!! Take a look at the pics below and decide for yourself if this is the type of environment you want to workout at. I know this was an incredibly long rant but I just couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve been going to crunch for a little over a year and within that time frame the staff has been very friendly and helpful. However, when a machine or cable breaks it takes months for it to get fixed which results in longer wait times to use certain machines during a rush. Recently a baseball team has been coming in with their coaches to work out. I’m not one to be bothered by them working out however when they take over the entire gym and take up multiples of the same machine so that others like myself who pay for the gym too can’t use them, it’s a problem.

After a year of going to Crunch Fitness, I feel compelled to address some ongoing issues. Unfortunately, maintenance has been a persistent problem that significantly impacts the experience. As of now:
• Two stair machines have been out of order for a long time.
• One treadmill remains unusable.
• Out of two water fountains, only one works.
• In the men’s restroom, two out of three hand dryers are broken, and one standing toilet is constantly out of service.
• Three cable machines are currently not working.
It feels like the gym isn’t prioritizing timely repairs, which gives the impression that they don’t respect their customers. While the facility has potential and some positives, this lack of upkeep has been disappointing over the past year. I hope they take action and improve soon.

However, my experience took a turn for the worse over a four-month period when I encountered a recurring issue: there was no toilet paper available on four separate occasions. This situation was not only inconvenient but also quite embarrassing, and I found it frustrating that such a basic necessity was consistently neglected.
Additionally, the cleanliness of the bathrooms left much to be desired. They were often in disarray, with trash strewn about the floor. It seemed to be particularly bad on weekends when the management staff, or "brass," as I would later refer to them, were not present to oversee operations. The lack of attention and maintenance made it uncomfortable to use the facilities, and it reflected poorly on the gym's overall standards.
When I finally decided to cancel my membership, I was asked by the staff to explain my reasons for leaving. I shared my experiences regarding the cleanliness issues and the persistent lack of toilet paper. Rather than taking responsibility, they placed the blame on the porters who were supposed to manage the upkeep of the gym. However, I firmly believe that this was not merely a porter problem—it was a leadership issue. Effective management should ensure that essential supplies and cleanliness standards are maintained regardless of who is on duty.
To my dismay, I learned that I would be charged again, in three additional weeks, due to their policy requiring a 30-day notice for cancellations. This felt unfair to me, especially considering the embarrassment I had endured as a result of their inadequate service. I hoped that the final payment they collected would serve as a lesson learned for them regarding the impact of their lack of leadership on customer experience.
In search of a better fitness environment, I decided to join Fitness Connection, which is conveniently located just down the road. I have been a member there for five months now, and I can confidently say that my experience has been significantly improved. The facilities are always clean, and I have never encountered a shortage of supplies. Additionally, they offer a much larger selection of equipment, making my workouts more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Terrible communication skills from general manager and district manager Angel (they never respond). Ryan, the shift manager, was polite and professional but did nothing to resolve my issue except cancel membership.
It's really amazing that after 15 months at $40/mo plus 2 annual fees of $70, they wouldn't be willing to refund a late fee of $25 for one time when my bank account was in the red.. yeah not the place I'm going to keep going to for that reason alone. Amazing they really need that $25 after collecting $740 in dues.. I hope this review is worth that $25 for them.
Besides bad upper management, the gym itself is OK. It was a lot better when I started 15 months ago. For about 6 or 7 months the entire sewer system was broken and they had portapotties outside.. cringe. I don't think it's worth $40/month any more after seeing how management handles conflicts.. there are lots of alternatives in the area!!

This is my third year at Crunch Fitness in Katy, Texas. No big complaints until now-for the last couple of months on my workout routine (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) between 12noon and one-you are not able to use the HIT ZONE area which is really irritating-not sure I’ll renew membership next year. What i don’t understand is why have that your open at 5am and it is now 7am no one is at the gym to open it. I have only been a member for about a month & this is my first time having this problem. This is very much an inconvenience for me considering the fact i can only really work out before my shift in the morning. Nice and polite front desk and trainers, but completely useless as account specialists. No management on duty throughout the day. Impossible to cancel membership.
Impossible to work with financially. No management onsite ever. No account specialists. The only thing you can do is block their charges, and deal with 3rd party collections for years. I've been coming in here for a week trying to renew my account via the text that they sent me or settle my account and cancel... I just spent an hour pacing at the front desk, since noone will return my calls or emails. They'd rather send my account to collections then... manager just showed up, I hope they are able to help.
Also the webpage is a hoax. The corporate customer service number is simply an automated response stating this line is not monitored, and Noone listed on the webpage as a contact currently works there. Salas hasn't worked there for over a year.
These actions, behaviors, practices are going to ruin your reputation, for what could otherwise be a nice place to workout... poor ownership, limited manager availability, and no support for customers that need their accounts worked on...

I started at this gym in hopes of starting new fitness goals only to be left with disappointment. For starters the restrooms are out of order, no one at the front desks knows what going on EVER & I’m also being charged $180 (BI-WEEKLY) for an additional personal training service that I cancelled with 5 days of starting the contract (per my contract orders) I’ve reached out via phone with no avail, email, TWICE, which it took two days for a response….only to be lied to and the contract still not cancelled. UPDATE August 2024: I have been going to this Crunch gym since it opened. Initially it was a great gym. The management was responsive and proactive, staff friendly and enthusiastic. Equipment was good.
Fast forward to August 2024. The gym is no longer fit for purpose. Bathroom facilities have been out of order for over two months. Imagine needing to go to the bathroom mid workout and there being nowhere to go? They have mobile toilets outside the gym....but imagine the conditions in the heat in the sun! Machines have missing clips and people leave weights all over the gym floor. The only time.the gym is useable is between 10am and 12pm. After this time it's filled with teenagers taking selfies, crowding equipment for ages on their mobiles, wandering aimlessly in front of and between machines and the inappropriate gym attire boggles the mind.
You do get what you pay for I guess.

I give it two star not one because the employees are good people just doing their jobs and the gym has what I need. The gym has been going down hill though, there are issues with the locker room that could be fixed by staff just walking through it more often . Like just grabbing paper towels and wiping off the counters. More importantly today I had my locker broken into . Lock broken off and my wallet emptied , all cash , $1000 visa gift card and all my credit cards. My locker was in the middle of the locker room , by employees doing walk through this would most likely not of happened. I worked in a gym for many years so i understand you can not prevent everything, but a better job should be done . I know this doesn’t happen often enough because the employees were unsure how to fill out an incident report. I have been a member here before it opened and I felt like they didn’t really even care . They had me write down my information and told me they would call me if they have any information about it . Only had my wallet with me today because I was going out after to buy my pregnant wife a birthday gift .

I pay for the membership at this location where you’re able to bring in a guest. I was told by the manager (who ran after me) that I needed a wristband and that guests were no longer allowed in the basketball court. Why would I need a wristband for the basketball court when I pay monthly for my membership and nobody else on the court were wearing wristbands? Discrimination is rampant at this location. Will definitely be leaving this gym.

This place used to be so nice & CLEAN. But they must be under new management or something because now theres always something. Whether its DIRTY environment, DIRTY MASSAGE CHAIRS, all the gross bugs everywhere, or the girls bathroom exploding with sewage. Theres always something. Just go to Fitness Connection I went there for 3 years not a single problem and its just half a mile down the road will be switching back soon.

I’m a college student who was in town for the summer and couldn’t have asked for a better gym. Peak results membership is amazing value. The gym itself is great: equipment is always organized and machines are always working, and it’s never too crowded imo. Only thing is bathrooms and pool could be cleaner. But the best part is the staff are all friendly and welcoming and on top of any issues, and the trainers are absolute legends. Jo has encyclopedic knowledge on everything fitness related and he’ll go above and beyond to get you set and confident in the gym within weeks no matter what level you’re at. Do a few sessions with him and believe me you won’t regret it

The gym is not up to the mark. Machines are not well maintained and the branch does not do anything to upgrade them. There are two cycles and both of them are broken since november and I complained a lot of times but no action has been taken. I tried to meet manager multiple times but in vain. The number of machines are less for some workout forms due to which the wait times becomes more. Management should do something about this

While the machines and equipment are acceptable, the main issue is Peek results and the lack of enforcement. For example, the secluded room that has more racks, benches, and dumbbells is labeled as “Peek Results Members Only.” This is NOT the case. Random people and high schoolers who I doubt have the Peek membership walk in and disrespect the equipment and take equipment out of the room. A solution would be to have a staff member at the rooms door for a secondary sign in, thereby maintaining the value of a peek membership, because it doesn’t feel like it’s worth the extra amount right now.
