Used to be at planet fitness. They allowed us to put the membership into my son's name without having to create a whole new membership. This is just bad business. If somebody is not able to make it to the gym you should be able to convert it. On top of that for how full this gym is all the time they should be allowing people to make these kinds of changes. Anyways I guess they enjoy their 3.1 rating after I put my review in.
Lastley, their pricing is a bit outrageous for any sort of training. You can go to ACC and get a better deal and take a gym class and make a teach you how to do what you need to do.

Odd, standoffish demeanor when purchasing water, being cashiered by the assistant general manager of this gym, no less. I actually was canceling my membership in the gym, but the app offered me half off my rate which kept me, not gonna lie.
Now, y’all are getting half of what I was paying before from me and I only found out I could do that because of that weird interaction with your assistant manager, so. The fact that my rate got cut increased my review from one to three stars so I guess that’s good.
But yeah, it was as if my request to buy a water bottle was inconveniencing, I guess. There was just dislike annoyed or disapproving demeanor? And just the way you know I was told to scan my app and then sign. My name was just odd. Anywho, thanks for coding in a discount on the app. It saved me from cancelling out right.

This gym is horribly packed all the time. They do not offer key fobs to scan in, everything has to be digital. The people at the front desk would rather tell you “I don’t know” than go ask their management for help or a solution, you have to pry help out of them if you are to get any. The plans are not worth it when they smack you with a 55$ annual fee within the first 60 days of you being there. It’s to “provide money to fix equipment and facilities as well as to help keep monthly costs down.” Well what’s the point of keeping the monthly costs down when you charge an annual fee, immediately upon signing! And your initial contract signifies you will pay two pay cycles no matter what, even if you cancel. Which allows them to still charge you their annual fee, even if you join and decide you don’t like it and leave, they will still steal money out of your pockets before you leave for equipment you barely used. Horrible gym, horrible staff, horrible business model designed to scam those looking to become healthy. Go to anywhere else but crunch, it’s no better than a planet fitness but at least they are actually worth the money.

BEWARE THIS PLACE REALLY NEEDS ATTTENTION TO CUSTOMER SERVICE...CANCELLED OUR MEMBERSHIP FOR MY WIFE AND MYSELF WE HAD 2 DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS....FIRST OFF I CANCELLED ON THE APP. GOT CONFIRMATION BUT WAS STILL GETTING CHARGED...MY WIFES ACCOUNT WAS BEING CHARGED ALSO....WALKED IN PERSON TO HAVE SOMEONE HELP ME AND THE NICE ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER ALL OF THE SUDDEN CHANGED WHEN I TOLD THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON...WELL THEY HELPED ME AND MADE SURE (SUPPOSIVELY) THAT I WASNT BEING CHARGED AGAIN BUT NO REFUND WAS BEING OFFERED....FAST FORWARD 3 MONTHS AND WY WIFE CHECKED HER ACCOUNT AND SHE IS STILL BEING CHARGED...CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO REFUND THE REP JUST SAYS THAT IT WILL BE CANCELLED...WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE IF SOMEONE DOES THERE JOB AND REALLY CANCELS THE ACCOUNT...I MENTIONED THAT WE HAD ALREADY CANCELLED SEVERAL TIMES BUT APPARENTLY THAT HELPS IN NO WAY....BEWARE OF THIS PLACE NOW I SEE WHY IT CURRENTLY HAS 3.1 STAR REVIEW.

highly recommend this gym, particularly the kids' crunch program. My daughter absolutely adores Ms. Debbie and Ms. Janie and I never have to worry about my daughter, being unhappy or unsafe . The management and front desk staff are exceptionally welcoming, and I am impressed by how comfortable my daughter is with them.

I must say this location has the best childcare in Austin!! They genuinely love your kids like their own and go the extra mile to keep them entertained! I never have to worry about her when she is in their hands. Ms. Debbie is one of Mylah’s favorites along with the other teachers as well! She’s still learning names 🤣

I have been going to Crunch Kyle since January and aside from the gym being packed I’ve never had an issue with this gym until today. My fiancé and I had just gotten to the gym he offered to buy me a Alani when I was dropping our son off to kids club. When I walked out of kids club he handed me one of them but I wasn’t a fan of the flavor so I went to exchange it to an different can and we walked off to start our workout. We separated as I ran to the restroom before we got started. When I came out of the restroom Aaron Rodriguez cornered me and accused me of stealing the Alani. I assured him that my fiancé had just purchased two of them and was willing to walk back up to check the account to prove my innocence. At the front desk instead of asking any one of the 3 other employees who were talking amongst each other if 2 Alanis had just been purchased… he proceeded to tell me there was no record of the purchase and that we didn’t pay for them. I called my fiancé to come down and sort this out, he said one of the girls took his Apple Pay payment. I asked him to check with them…. And sure enough we did pay for them and one of the girls checked him out. How embarrassing as a manager you are willing to accuse your paying clients of theft before you’re willing to do your job and maybe ask your coworkers to stop chatting and do their jobs as well. A simple question before he came to accuse me could have solved all my of this.

Very bad experience with Crunch Fitness in Kyle.
I canceled my membership through the app, following all the steps as instructed, but they never processed the cancellation. Even though I did everything correctly, they kept charging me for two more months. When I went to complain, they didn’t offer a solution or take responsibility for the mistake. It’s very disrespectful to the customer. Be careful if you sign up here — canceling your membership is not as easy as they make it seem. I do not recommend this gym

Absolute nightmare of a gym to be a part of they will double charge. Triple charge your accounts for no reason they upped my membership without asking me charge the annual membership five times to my account in two months never repay it managers never returned phone calls altogether they took around 300 bucks for me that’s unpaid and uncalled for And completely deny and refused to answer. Any questions or concerns would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the management and staff at Crunch Fitness in Kyle, Texas, specifically the daycare center. My daughter, Sophia, who is 22 months old, often experiences anxiety when I leave. However, thanks to the exceptional patience, understanding, and professionalism of the daycare staff, I have noticed a significant improvement in her behavior. Additionally, the amenities and equipment at the facility are consistently clean and well-maintained. I am truly grateful for their dedication and hard work.

They tell some of their employees to try to get you to sign up for things, so anytime a worker greets me I'm not sure if they're really only greeting me or if they're just trying to lead things into an annoying conversation where they try to sell me something. Integrating sales tactics with the employees causes a very awkward relationship. This is what causes me to drop this place to 2 stars, otherwise I would have easily given this gym 4 stars. The gym is usually crowded, which I don't mind that much but some certainly will. Everything is surprisingly pretty clean and the gym has just about everything you need. I haven't tried out any of the classes they offer, but the membership prices are excellent.

Im very happy with the gym being so close to where we live.....but I see in a lot of the TV's in the upper area showing ghost and hunted shows but it would be good not to show that at all having so many other channels to be showing....like food network, love the HGTV etc. Recently I've been seeing more of that nasty channel (ghost/hunted shows) anyway it would ve nice to also see univision in the morning. Just a suggestion. Thanks

I dig this gym. I get a great workout but I have to be flexible because even in slower periods, there aren't enough stations. Example being leg extensions and curls. There are two of each total in the entire gym. One of each fitness brand and they are PERMANENTLY filled! For comparison, when I worked 8 to 5, I'd go to Golds after work during peak period and always have a way to squeeze into a machine because they read their clientele and in a SMALLER space than this Crunch is in, had multiples of EXACTLY what people used most.
Like I said I make it work and I'm excited to have a gym membership after some time off but I would love to not have to triage my workout because 'it's getting to be that time' and I have to float the gym trying to find a space to exercise instead of obnoxiously hovering over a machine waiting for the other guy to finish!
Locker area and bathrooms are surprisingly small for the crowd BUT they are always clean. Staff is always a stones throw away constantly cleaning and wiping and dusting and being on top of their game- at least in the mornings into the lunch rush. That's what I can vouch for. Overall I like Crunch I just wish there was a bit more equipment we all use instead of things like multiple hammer strength that always sit empty.
The Hoist machines are pretty kickass lol.

Great gym. Better than William Cannon. It’s crowded, but it’s the only commercial gym in the area, so what do you expect? Hopefully SPM takes the pressure off. I haven’t had any issues here, aside from a few rude teens in the locker room. Staff seems cool though. Now if only the teens came with a manners manual… and they’d put a full-body mirror in that big locker room stall—whatever its purpose is. It’s kinda funny seeing people complain about the fees, like hello, all you had to do was read the fine print when you signed up 🤦🏽♀️

Terrible gym, don’t try to go to any sort of crunch anywhere, they will charge you for a “monthly” plan, and even lie to you about any hidden or annual fees, then if you try to cancel it, apparently I signed a contract to pay a full annual amount? So I was lied to and now I have to pay a ton because the workers are greedy? Never go here or to any crunch

My experience with Crunch. heard from a friend about them and looked them up online. Saw different membership levels and the price seemed pretty reasonable. Opted for the mid level where I could take a visitor along. Most of the way through the registration a page came up saying after 60 days a fee of 50ish dollars would be billed for annual. Was surprised to see that but was excited so kept going. After finishing I received an email saying welcome and to show up for the initial scan. The wife went with me to see what it was about. I got on the scale and got my scan. The young lady invited my wife to get on the scale to for a scan. Then we sat to discuss the results. The young lady said to the wife that she could benefit from some training. I said she wasn't signed as a member but she said that she could sign for training while being a visitor with me. We asked more than once if that would work and she said yes. She got excited and was going to sign up. We went to the desk and another young lady came over and said she couldnt do that, she had to be a member. Well she was excited about it and signed up for the lowest level membership of $9 dollars a month but a years requirement. After that the young lady pointed to a few of the machines I could use to help with my knee issues. We left. A day or so later I received another message from another gentleman saying welcome and to come in for my initial scan and introductory workout. I said I already had a scan but did not get an option for a workout. He replied back and said well you should have gotten a workout. I wasnt too happy about that and replied back about what happened to the wife with her being told that she could get workouts on my membership and then told not. Next thing we know her workouts were canceled and refunded. Didnt really like how this was working and decided to cancel before the 60 days came along to avoid the annual membership fee. Well during the cancelation online it said per cancelation policy, they had to charge the annual fee. So for the 7 days I thought about being I got charged the first months and the annual fee. Roughly $90 dollars for thinking about the place. Replied to the emails saying that I wasnt happy with that and the reply was that was policy and to talk to the front desk. I tried calling but could never go through. They called back in the middle of the day while I was at work and not able to answer. I called back again and could not talk to a person again. They again called when I was not able to answer at work. Their message said they tried to contact me many times but could not reach me. Meanwhile my wife is stuck with a years membership and she probably will never go in there.

Parking really bad, crowded 75 percent of the time, small lockeroom, very small sauna, limited stretching mats, and just overall a strange layout based on the amount of foot traffic that comes in and out. Kids of all ages. Two water fountains for the whole entire workout floor. Just needs to be a much larger building and better layout. Needs a capacity limit per location. Lucky if you get even street parking

So happy we have this gym in the area now. It’s great for the price and the staff have been fantastic. I’ve never had an issue with the other folks working out here and most have been friendly if approached. Unfortunately due to the extreme growth in the area (not the gyms fault) there is a surprisingly high demand for services by the residents. Gym services being one. This location is crowded and busy. Parking is a bit of an issue. If you go in with a workout plan be prepared to substitute your exercises or wait for machines. From 3pm-7pm on weekdays it’s crazy busy. I can’t speak for other times. Today I needed a box to do some step ups, some girl was using them for Bulgarian split squats. I did the entirety of the rest of my workout (about an hr) and she was still doing her split squats when I finished. Wild. Some machines like the adductor thigh machine is always busy and usually has a line. The turf area is usually very busy as well so trying to do battle ropes is a timing thing. And pushing the sled means watching out for people’s legs. They got plenty of kettlebells and dumbbells which is nice. Wish they had some heavier kettlebells though. Heaviest I’ve seen is the 35lb KB.
Mens locker room is small but never really had a problem with it. The sauna can get packed as well. I’ve had to skip the sauna because it was so full. Cable machines are always super busy too. Your best bet is to workout using dumbbells and kettlebells. Machines can be a crap shoot.
I’ll continue to attend this gym. I hope that once the South Park Meadows Crunch opens the Kyle location will see a drop in congestion.

The facilities itself are great. But having anything other than a base membership is pointless. Massage bed...20 minute wait. Red light booth... all taken. Parking... circle for 10 minutes. Just way too crowded no matter what time you come.

I just have to say, the morning crew at this gym is seriously the best in South Austin/Buda & Kyle! They’re so kind and thoughtful.
A personal shoutout to Jordyn—she helped me out with a little issue on my account, and she was super quick and efficient. It’s impressive how she remembers everyone’s names and greets everyone with a smile. Furthermore, she manages to juggle multiple tasks without making anyone feel ignored. And she never seems rushed. That level of customer service is hard to come by these days!
Also, gotta give props to the rest of the front staff and the maintenance team. For the past six months, I've seen them always hustling and keeping the place clean! I’ve been to other Crunch gyms around, and honestly, y’all have the cleanest and most organized one.
The morning staff and trainers at the Kyle gym are just awesome. I really feel lucky to have a gym like this! Thanks, everyone!

I am happy that Kyle/Buda have their very own gym. It is such a good vibe to come in with the front desk, who welcome everyone as family. This gym maintains clean standards and is very low on price compared to other gyms that are not so convenient. I always recommend crunch to everyone.
If I would to suggest ideas, mine would be to add a pool and possibly a basketball court or another fitness activity accommodating to indoors.
I joined this gym prior to grand opening and received very helpful service. There are such good people who work here that make this place enjoyable. I am an avid gym enthusiast and love keeping my body in peak performance.
Highly recommend.

Extremely disappointed with the treatment I received from James, the Assistant GENERAL Manager at Crunch Fitness in Kyle. He was incredibly rude, dismissive, and frankly came across as racist. His tone was aggressive, and he even physically flinched or twitched while talking, which made the whole interaction very uncomfortable.
He seemed overly obsessed with our login status and didn’t even realize we were already members. My friend, who was visiting, was just a guest—something I’ve done before without issue. Despite that, she was treated with unnecessary hostility and disrespect. She even signed up for a membership on the spot, but James continued to snatch the iPad from her and spoke to her in a very rude, condescending manner.
This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from management. I’ve been coming here for months and have never had an issue until now. It’s a shame that someone like him is representing the gym.

Love Crunch Fitness in general & have been to many across the country BUT with that being said...if I had to use the Kyle location I would drop my membership immediately. Walking in I was taken back by the amount of staff standing around the desk & PT desk. There was no friendly greeting, the PT's were making inappropriate jokes & comments at the desk that could be heard by anyone walking past. The equipment options are good but there are too many machines shoved into too small of a space. The locker rooms are ridiculously small & inadequate for the volume of members. The Personal Trainers were rude to other members & were not wiping down or racking weights after their clients. I made it through 1/2 my workout & left. I have never stopped in the middle of a workout for any reason. This was by far my worst experience with any gym ever. San Marcos is my home gym. I am there 6-7 times a week. It is like walking into a friend's home. Abby & her staff make it warm and welcoming. It can get busy but the staff is always positive, helpful and polite! I was blown away by the complete difference in these 2 locations. Sad!!

Unless you’re showing up really early in the morning or really late at night, it’s packed all throughout the week. I understand there’s really nothing the gym can do about that, but still a negative. I’ve barely been using my membership because of it. Don’t know about the women’s locker room, but the men’s is tiny for the amount of people here. Also don’t understand the need to fly a flag that promotes a certain demographic’s sexual preferences. Don’t know what that has to do with fitness. On the positive side, they do have a lot of good equipment and it’s open 24/7.

Gym - 4+ stars / Staff - 5 stars; Been a member since May and enjoy this gym a lot. I love that there's every machine and amenity that I've been looking for in a gym like the dry sauna, hydro beds, child car is a HUGE+ and the numerous classes to choose from and all for a fair monthly price. Plus the fact that they allow 'take a friend' is a great perk for members.
I do agree that there's been a couple of times I've had to wait for a machine/weights cuz there's a "fitness squater" on their phone most of the time but it's rare that has happened. I'm always able to go in, get a good workout in and out the door. To those having issues with wait time, I'm confident it'll get better once the SPM Crunch opens.
Staff is cool and friendly, especially Gia. She's awesome and has a smile that will brighten anyone's day. Instructors/Trainers know their stuff and are cool.
Overall, I'm happy to be a member of Crunch Fitness in Kyle!

Update as for June 16 2025
Downgraded to 1 star. Would do less if I could. Although they responded to my review, no action was taken to improve the quick circuit for us who are trying to get a quick workout in the middle of the day.
Again, the gym is just full of people who sit on the equipments and just stare at their phone for 5 minutes during their intervals.
Would be nice if the gym put up to a sign to be off your phone or a timer on the equipment so people would be more respectful.
We decided to downgrade and will likely just cancel. If you downgrade be ready for a $30 fee.
Don't' recommend this place.
---
The gym is well priced and well equipped, but the reason I'm giving it two stars is because I only have time to workout during lunch breaks, which is about 1 hour. I was sold on the power half hour circuit but every time I go (3 times a week), I see people sitting on that equipment for 20 minutes to do one workout. Sometimes people are socializing, just sitting on it, or on their phone.
That gym is always crowded, so if this is your reason to sign up for it, I'd go somewhere else. There is no rule enforcing and no one really respects rules of that circuit. I understand I can use other equipment scattered around the gym, but I was sold on a quick way to get a workout in and leave within 1 hour. And before a reply suggests, yes I do skip around from equipment to equipment because it's impossible to follow it sequentially. Even then it's a problem.
Pretty disappointing.

I've found that the optimal time to avoid crowds is between 5–6 AM on weekends. Weekdays tend to be significantly busier, making it more challenging to access equipment.
It's worth noting that the app's "crunch-o-meter" does not appear to reflect real-time conditions accurately.
That said, when the gym isn't crowded, it's an excellent facility—well-maintained with high-quality equipment.

Yesterday, the first class overstayed for the class immediately after and several of us who showed up with tickets, to the 2nd class, had no weights or a spot to comfortably workout. Either make sure everyone has a ticket for the class or get rid of the class booking system and just let people show up and cram as many in as possible. 🙄

Thank you crunch for amazing employees and enthusiastic instructors! They always welcome members with the coolest themes and willingness to help. Today the God Fairy Bunny and people waiting for the stair master helped me retrieve my phone that had fell in. The staff was quick and assured they can get the task done! I am grateful to go workout and leave feeling i am supported! Thank you

There are special times you need to go in order to make even a $9 membership worthwhile. I'm not saying which times because I don't want you to go then 🤣
But in all seriousness... if you go at the wrong times, members are absolutely FERAL. The most selfish, vile side of human nature.
It's like we are on the titanic and everyone is clawing to get on a life raft. Except the life rafts are gym machines.
Not enough parking.
Only a few people actually clean machine and rack weights.
I get sick once a month because the members are so filthy.
But it's still the best option in the area as far as variety of machines and recovery amenities. Staff is nice too.

They charged me again told me I couldn't get a refund without going in. When I went in they said they would not refund because I didn't sign something at cancellation?! It's you employees responsibility to make sure someone walks you though canceling when you go there to cancel?!
Unbelievable. So be sure I guess you know how to cancel your own account because the employees here will try to take advantage of you otherwise. Going to let corporate know this after Google.

Clean, friendly staff, truly feels like no judgement when working out.
Edited for an update: The gym is still pretty good for working out on your own.
However, I highly advise you not to sign up for their personal training. It is unorganized and the trainers don’t know anything. I had a trainer who left with notice (I knew a week before the trainer left) and was not assigned for a week (still not assigned). I have been told by multiple people that it may take 2 weeks to be assigned a new trainer ALL WHILE THEY CONTINUE TO CHARGE ME FOR TRAINING. I am accruing training sessions but not able to use them. This is unprofessional and honestly feels a bit like fraud. I should have been assigned a new trainer within the week since my last session. Just don’t sign up for the personal training unless you want to waste money.

This is a great facility! Unfortunately, members suck! They have absolutely no regard for anybody else in the gym. They don’t clean up after themselves. They don’t re-rack their weights! And they track mud all over the place. Cleanliness wise it’s the most disgusting gym I’ve ever been in. And it’s not even six months old. The night crew doesn’t do a damn thing except for sit behind the front desk and check people in. Countless times we have walked in in the morning and this place is a disaster!
Let’s go crunch! Y’all need to do something about this! It gets worse every day! I will say the staff in the morning is fantastic! Luis, Frank, Jordan and Andrea always greet us with a smile. And they’re always doing something to stay busy. Somebody needs to grow some and do something about these members. Some signs around the gym and someone on a PA system saying clean up after yourselves and please re-rack your weights, might not be a bad idea. I used to own two gyms and am more than happy to get on board with you guys on how to figure this out.
Give us a reason to keep coming back and keep our membership. Not wonder why this brand new beautiful facility is already trashed.
Update-as of late this facility has taken some serious measures and the overnight staff seems to be working much harder re-racking weights, and cleaning up after all of the crappy members. My previous review had nothing to do with any of the employees. We love all of the employees up there. However, the members are a different story. But the gym is much cleaner. All the weights are for the most part re-rack and not spread out all over the floor anymore and the cleaning crew really does do a great job especially the ones in the morning. Shout out to Abby, Frank, Jordan, Andrea, Luis, Winston, and Riz, who is there diligently cleaning in the morning. You are all very appreciated. Now, if we could get the majority of the members to pull their heads out of their butts and understand that there’s a thing called gym etiquette, we’d be gold
When y’all need someone to walk around and start having conversations with members, you just let me know, I’m happy to help. lol
We love our time at crunch in the morning and look forward to it every day!

Its always so insanely busy here anytime I go. 6am. 7am. Overcrowded. 9am, crazy overcrowded. 11am, too crowded. 2pm crowded but doable. They have 2 turf areas that the personal trainers are always at. No heavy kettlebells. The south austin location is 10x better. I cant believe so many people go to a gym in kyle. The most annoying part is there are a handful of machines everyone wants all the time. They are always taken. Why arent here more than 1 of each of the leg machines?!? TX is so frustrating, I come here sometimes to workout with my godmother & my mom and we both have the bring a free guest and he told us that if he saw my godmother again here with us he would not
let her back in again, we are guessing because she is fit? and usually she sets up our workouts because she knows more than we do in the workout stuff and idk what ideas he has but the first time he told us something he said someone reported us? and now this second time he says if he saw us again he would not let her back in, and he couldn’t even address his “issue” with us himself, so annoying specially because we never bother anyone or cause a real issue. Personal training here is EXTREMELY disorganized. I started back when they opened and gave them some grace because they were new. But I when I enrolled it took them awhile to find me a personal trainer. One of the assistant managers was helpful and found me a great personal trainer finally. But I always have to initiate the communication. If I didn’t I don’t think I would have been reach out to. To bring you current: 2 weeks ago my personal trainer quit. They’ve been open for much longer now I would assume they’d be a little more organized. She told me someone new would reach out to me. She asked me my preferences and my schedule. I told her I wanted a female. A week later a male reaches out to me to take her place. I call and tell them I want a female. Wait a few days and two weeks later I’m still waiting to be reached out to! I’ve called and they say they will look at my sticky note and get back to me. Still. Nothing. I’m still getting charged every two weeks and haven’t worked out since my last personal trainer quit 2 weeks ago. Save your money. They don't communicate. Also, the front desk does not pick up the phone which is the only way to get connected to personal training. Very frustrating.

Doesn't matter if you're there at noon or 9pm, the place is packed and waiting for machines in inevitable while people scroll mindlessly on their phones instead of actually using the machine they're sitting on. This location is new and opened in January of 2025. Brand new equipment and friendly staff makes this place very hospitable and welcoming.
Unfortunately, this gym also has problems with people camping and being on their phone while others are waiting to use equipment. The location also makes it very difficult since no other gym is in close proximity so it's quite busy almost all the time. Unless you workout 12am-3am then no issue whatsoever.
I have left the gym for health reasons. But if one can deal with the gym being overly crowded almost all the time then it's game time! Good luck everyone.

I enrolled with this gym when they first announce that they will take an open enrollment for a promotional price of one dollar. A few days after I enrolled I canceled the membership. We moved out of the country and there is no crunch gym where I live. I completely forgot about it. I trusted that the girl canceled the membership as I requested because no monies were being pulled out of my account fast-forward to current. They have attempted to pull out money out of my account several times and was successful several times I disputed the charge with my bank and I also emailed them and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Aaron Rodriguez through email about canceling the membership. He did inform that they require a 30 days cancellation and I asked him was there a cancellation fee he never responded. This was February 21 fast-forward to today. They have pulled money out of my account again even after having canceled and I have never stepped foot in that gym, I have filed a complaint with BBB and I am awaiting my full cancellation removal of my personal information and refund for the money that they pulled out of my account they are rip off

Was going to the South Austin Crunch before joining the Kyle location, and now I got to the Kyle location exclusively. It’s nice to see commercial gyms expand into this part of town. And as such yes it’s going to be crowded as there are not a lot of other options right now in Kyle. Anyone who goes to other gyms knows that being “overcrowded” is actually very common and typically happens because everyone goes to the gym right before work in the morning or right after work in the evening. So be flexible with your workouts, have other versions of the exercise in your back pocket, wait patiently if you really want to use a specific piece of equipment, or talk to the person on the machine ask how much longer they have or even ask to work in with them!
Aside from that, the gym is clean and the staff are friendly. For $10 a month (basic plan) this is such a great option. And I’ve been a member of every commercial gym available (golds, 24 Hr, YMCA, Lifetime).
My favorite things about Crunch are that they are truly open 24 hours a day, and the fact that they have the most squat racks of any commercial gym, so I’m almost never having to wait on one for leg days.

It's a huge facility, it's new, but I can see a few issues since I've been going there. It's extremely busy and I go at 5 am. I actually switched to the san marcos location. It's also busy, but less so. Their kickoff personal session really didn't do much for me other than provide me with a printout, I felt like the guy was going through the motions. If you're new to working out, there can be an intimidation factor, and a lot of the equipment can seem alien to you. That said, don't let it discourage you. There's a whole community of people that can help you out. Their training program is a bit pricey, and there's not a lot of flex to it, but the membership is well worth the cost, excluding the training. Do yourself a favor and opt for at least a medium membership to get access to those class and some of the recovery tools.

I signed up for a Crunch Fitness membership for just $1 to try it out, and let me tell you—it was NOT worth it. The gym was ridiculously overcrowded, making it nearly impossible to get a decent workout. To top it off, the restrooms were filthy, which says a lot about how they maintain the facility.
After going a couple of times, I quickly realized this gym wasn’t for me. I emailed them multiple times to cancel, only to be ignored. When I finally got a response, they told me I had to come in person and pay for TWO MORE MONTHS just to cancel. That’s right—they rope you in with a $1 promo and then trap you into paying more when you try to leave.
This is nothing but a scam designed to squeeze extra money out of people. I’ll never step foot in a Crunch Fitness again, and I highly suggest you trust the reviews before signing up. Stay away!

Okay so I have been a member with Crunch fitness for about 6 months now and so far it's been solid. First I just want to address if you gave them a 1 star because it's too crowded you need to get over yourself what did you expect? Yes it's crowded however they added some more equipment to help with the crowds you just have to learn to adapt and be flexible It's honestly not that big of a deal. I love the space its about the same size of the San Marcos one whoever said San Marcos is bigger that is not true. It's a good price in my opinion and love that its 24hr. I went to Golds before Crunch and I loved Golds. I was a member for over 10 years however I like how Crunch is cheaper and it has a lot of the same equipment that Golds offers and Crunch again is also 24hr so that is super convenient. Overall good gym and I never had any issues with customer service so I don't want to speak for others experience but base off of mine experience customer service has been helpful if I need them.

brand new crunch facility with everything you could want out of a gym at this price point , whoever plans the layouts for the crunch gyms deserves an award , and this location is the best one in the area
Edit : Unfortunately this crunch has to serve to big of a demand in the kyle - south austin area , resulting in quite a uncomfortable experience for most people , most times you just take whatever equipment you can regardless if you planned to perform that exercise or not , its not ideal.
You cant really blame crunch as a chain or as a owner , i don't imagine they can really turn people down as it is technically a chain gym and you can attend any crunch , and most likely the crunch gyms follow a very specific layout , this crunch should have been 3x as big as is currently is , again not sure that is even possible but at this point its a lost cause , still the best gym in the area - hopefully they build another close enough to help suppress the demand.

Crunch is a great gym with a lot to offer. There’s plenty of equipment, including some newer-style machines that I really enjoy using. The facility itself is very clean, which is expected since it’s a newer location.
However, the parking situation is horrendous, especially during peak hours. I understand that peak times mean more people, but the ratio of memberships to available parking is way off. It makes getting in and out of the gym a hassle.
The classes are another issue. While I do enjoy them, getting into one is nearly impossible. You have to set an alarm 22 hours in advance just to register, and even then, chances are you won’t get in. The most frustrating part is seeing empty spots in class because people didn’t show up. Implementing a no-show fee, like many other gyms do, would help fix this problem.
Overall, Crunch has a lot of potential, but these issues make it not worth the cost for me. I’ll be canceling my membership because paying for peak access when I can’t even get into the classes just doesn’t make sense.

Cons:

3. Locker rooms are quite small and can feel cramped.
4. Misleading information during sign-up: I was told there was no minimum commitment required, which was a key reason I signed up for the membership. I intended to use it for only a month, but later discovered that this was not the case. It’s important for staff to provide accurate and clear information to avoid confusion and ensure a transparent experience for members.

Booked for a hot pilates class today but when I showed up (on time), they said the class was full. How? I had a reserved spot so the class shouldn't be full. Showed them my booking confirmation and this is apparently an ongoing issue. They told me to show up earlier then turned me away - showing up early shouldn't matter, I had a RESERVED spot.
They should really control the amount of memberships at this gym. Way over crowded.
I've already contacted the gym. Waiting for a response.

Me and my mother signed up to crunch fitness during their promotion before opening for 29.99$ a month for basically all access.
Well what they DIDNT tell us about was the 86$ "matinence fee" charge they just pulled from our account with no warning or notice, me and my mother feel completely robbed, thanks crunch fitness.

Finding a parking here is already hard with two restaurants opening up. It’s going to be even harder. I do think the gym is amazing. It also has daycare.

I visited today, and after my experience I decided to read some of the reviews and do some investigating.
Crunch fitness did an awesome job marketing a scam to people lmao. I booked a Hot Yoga class today at 6:30, and I was so late from trying to park that I missed my class.
I agree with the reviews 100%, the lack of ownership accountability shows in the structure of this establishment. Way too crowded, not enough time slots available for group classes, and starting to become a waste of money. Additionally, whoever is commenting under these reviews don’t seem either competent enough nor powerful enough to influence some proper change.

Love this gym- staff is friendly, most of the people working out are good about moving along with their sets.
Pretty busy most times of the day (even at 10AM it is hard to find a parking spot). BUT, it has a good amount of machines, and a good variety of exercise spaces.

Most crowded gym I've ever seen. Don't bother paying for upper tier memberships, you'll never be able to wait in line long enough to use the benefits. NO ONE reracks their weights when done. Lockers and sauna can fit maybe 10 people each. Lines for lockers, lines for sauna, lines for weights. Literally lines everywhere.

Super crowded had to wait on every machine. And the dressing room is tiny. This is a fairly new facility yet some of the lockers are broken already.

This gym is way too crowded ! You can’t even finding parking. .You got a bunch of kids running around in groups hogging up equipment.Definitely feels like a school gym .But I know quite a few people canceling memberships ..I know I am ! It’s Kaos in that place ! Not recommended unless you ready to spend to much time trying to use equipment!

I was a founding member in SM and having a horrible experience transferring my SM membership since 12/3/24 -Kyle's pre opening. I've been going back and forth with phone calls between SM and Kyle since and the transfer has not fully been completed nor acct updated/fixed properly as initially discussed with SM and Kyle Mgr. I can't register for classes as a result. Everytime I call for an update, someone tells me it'll take few days and it's been over 2 wks now. So much miscommunication between SM and Kyle and its suppose to be same franchise. What is going on?
UPDATE: 1/29/25- Finally got the transfer taken care of within 1 day after my review. But, since then everytime I scan to use the services- massage bed/red light something pops up on their computer that it wants to charge me. I've brought it up to several staff including a mgr and thought it was taken care of and it hasn't. It's very frustrating having to explain and staff go to a different computer to look up my acct and see that my membership includes the services. Not sure what is going on!

Can't give it a 5 star just yet only been a few times so far and each and every time it has been incredibly crowded, not the fault of the gym, just sucks to have to wait for certain equipment to free up. Overall all so far so good, the staff have been helpful when needed.

I love Crunch! It’s been open for just a few months and I’ve been loving it! The classes are great and the machines and equipment are so nice! The staff is great as well, specifically Abby Duncan! She’s the best! The gym is also always clean and ready for use throughout the day!

The parking situation is ridiculous. I tried 2 different times this evening, and even checked your occupancy meter. It's not accurate. You are heavily making me re-think continuing my membership. You are conveniently located, but not at all convenient to use.

The gym tends to be completely packed after work (expected). But even when it’s not packed, parking is not sufficient. On top of all of this, they’re still recruiting for more people with deals. We went back home multiple times last week because we couldn’t find parking. Right now the Crunch app said “moderately busy”, but all of Crunch’s, Texas Roadhouse’s, and the bank’s parking lots are full. Otherwise it’s a nice gym, just very small for the amount of people they want to enroll.

Way too crowded, no room to work out. Machine or weight usage have wait times. One could wait from 15 to 30 minutes. Exercise class is way too packed. What was the point of paying for the top tier membership when nothing is available for immediate use. Having friends/family tag along is great, but it shouldn't be every day. Recommended setting that for two days out of the week. It is not fair to others who paid a full membership and get short ended. Parking is a nightmare. Something needs to be done to improve these concerns.

Nice place and plenty of equipment. No one seems to clean up after themselves or re-rack their weights. Not sure what that’s about.
Edit: clearly nothing was done about it as stated by the “owner”.

How do I get a call back from someone in the gym? I went in 3 weeks ago to cancel my membership, and allegedly the managers were in a meeting so the girl wrote my name and number in your customer log. Nobody has called me back despite me leaving several messages, submitting 2 contact forms and nobody ever answers the phone but they always have 2-3 people at the front chatting.

How is this gym brand new and the elevator is already out of order???
The gym is too small and way too crowded. At times I feel like I am in a high school with all of the young kids hanging out or taking selfies.
At this point I would consider canceling my membership to join a gym less crowded.
Dont even get me started on the cramped locker room. Only a few lockers available and gym staff uses the first lockers for cleaning supplies.

I like the gym I just don’t like how it’s turning into a social event for people, mostly kids, to hang around talking to each other hogging the equipment or just standing around wasting space. Finding parking is a nightmare and I’ve had to leave more than once because I couldn’t find parking even after circling the parking lot for 15 minutes. I don’t have the time to be waiting around for someone to drive off. (People like to sit in their cars talking to their friends not leaving and leaving till they please!) not worth it might come back after this “new year lose weight” resolution is over :/

Terrible Customer Service and Disrespectful Staff – Stay Away!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Crunch Fitness chased me down to sign up, promising great service and smooth communication. But once I joined, they ignored my concerns and treated me like I didn’t matter.
I signed up on January 1, and they promised to send me communication via email, but nothing came. After multiple follow-ups, they admitted they had entered my email incorrectly. Even after fixing it, I got no updates. Frustrated, I decided to cancel my membership, but that turned into a 15-day nightmare of rude staff, false promises, and constant delays.
When I went in person to resolve it, I was told the manager would see me immediately. Instead, I waited over half an hour, ignored and dismissed. The manager finally arrived, acted clueless, and canceled my membership with a single click—something that could’ve been done weeks ago. No apology, just an arrogant "OK," like I didn’t matter at all.
I may be one of the few low-star reviews now, but trust me, this arrogance will catch up to them. Crunch might seem great when they’re chasing you to sign up, but once they hit their target audience, their attitude shifts. I live nearby, but with staff this unprofessional, I’ll never go back.
Save yourself the frustration. Avoid this place.
