Ive done it all.The cancelation process is beyond ridiculous i cannot go to laredo to cancel. I moved unexpectedly and before i moved i had went in person to cancel but they said that a manager wasn't available at the time
/Update I have sent a letter as they requested so that I can cancel and it's been some time so I called and they said it wasn't valid because of the time frame. Yada yada it's so ridiculous if you're from out of town for a few months or visiting just stay away cause I swear this cancelation process is so ridiculous they literally want you to attach a letter to a pidgeon and send it off to them. There's email,over the phone,I can give my badge number,some crunch fitness even offer the process to cancel online but not this one. They just give ya the run around. I will be going to the bbb also this isn't a money problem. This gym will report you to the credit bureau.

On Sunday around 12 p.m., I stopped by Crunch after not finding the energy drink I wanted at H-E-B or Topline. I figured I’d check out their membership options and see if they carried the drink I was looking for.

Upon entering, I was not greeted or acknowledged no “Hi, welcome” or “How can I help you today?” Instead, I received blank stares from a young man and woman at the front desk, the woman of which didn’t leave a great first impression for a fitness facility. When I asked if I could look at the energy drinks, the response I got was an annoyed, “What?” After repeating my question, I was told “Ok.”

The measly drink selection was limited, and since they didn’t have what I wanted, my girlfriend and I began to leave. As we exited and walked back towards TopLine, both staff members followed us outside and shouted, “Did you pay for that?” I explained that I had walked in with the drink I had in my hand and continued on my way.

If the front desk staff had been more attentive and engaged with guests upon arrival, this misunderstanding could have easily been avoided. Overall, the lack of professionalism and awareness from the front desk left a disappointing impression.

From this first impression and after seeing the snarky, unprofessional replies from the “owner” or general manager on other reviews I would not recommend even considering this gym.

Extremely disappointed in the ineffective check in procedure the Laredo Crunch manager implements. Lines of 3 people or more continuously form due to only one check in scanner being available despite multiple spots appointed on the counter. This is caused by employees servicing potential customers or customers who do not have their scannable code through the computer that services the only scanner. Many of us are seeking a quick workout or have timely group fitness classes to attend, but unfortunately a long wait time is imposed on loyal customers just to scan a readily available code. Additionally, being greeted with a bad attitude for not having enough time to wait around shouldn’t be an issue, but it is. So much for being “a gym designed around you.”

Cleaning is still not a priority here, several times and at different days, there is no soap in the restrooms and or paper towels in any of the stations to clean the equipment. Restrooms are often dirty with a bad smell. I asked the front desk for someone to put soap and the response was that he was alone and couldn't leave the station until someone else comes to work. Corporate needs to take care of this since management doesn't seems to do anything about it still.

She ended up offering to pay the prospect fee as if she needed to 🙄 When she expressed how disappointed she was of her experience and told him she was gonna write a review, he said “We don’t want you in our gym”. WHO SAYS THAT? TO A CUSTOMER!?

The fact that she does not know her way around in the city and all she wanted to do was work out at her gym and she has ALL RIGHTS SINCE SHE IS A MEMBER TO WORK OUT IN THE PLACE and is denied not only that but she is treated POORLY? Is that how you treat your customers?
You all need better training by the looks on the reviews and the way you respond to the reviews as well..

Please do better, theres plenty of gyms out there.. slowly but surely you will go out of business if you continue treating your customers this way..

Also, remember that your job includes customer SERVICE, and as such you need to ensure you take care of YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Extremely disappointing experience at Crunch Fitness Laredo—this location needs a serious lesson in customer service.

My friend, who travels constantly for work and pays for access to all Crunch Fitness locations, tried to work out here during her one small window to decompress after a long week on the road. Unfortunately, she was denied entry due to a glitch in their system—not hers.

Even though she showed proof of her membership and offered to pay for a day pass just to get her workout in, the staff, including the manager, flat-out refused to let her in. But what made it worse? The attitude. The manager was shockingly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. No empathy, no willingness to help—just a cold “no” and a shrug, as if her well-being didn’t matter in the slightest.

This gym clearly doesn’t understand the meaning of customer service or basic human decency. When someone is asking to pay for access and your system is the issue, the solution should never be to turn them away—especially with an attitude.

My friend left the gym feeling humiliated, frustrated, and without the mental reset she desperately needed. No one should be treated this way, especially when they’re just trying to take care of themselves.

If you value kindness, professionalism, or even just a decent experience at the gym you’re paying for—avoid Crunch Fitness Laredo. This location is a total embarrassment to the brand.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I travel for work and I have NEVER have had an issue with my membership not scanning properly. When I expressed how disappointed I was of my experience and told him I was gonna write a review, he said “We don’t want you in our gym”. This was a very upsetting experience.

Completely unacceptable and unnecessary as they could have helped me out solve the issue instead of just dismissing me by asking me to call an invalid number. I asked repeatedly to be help reach out CS. They were not helpful at all. This was my first time at this location and I have never been treated this way anywhere else.

I thought it was just me. But now I read everyone’s else’s reviews. I went in person today and they refused to cancel my account without instantly charging me. The GM also refused to provide me with a refund from money they took from an account I replaced, he also refused to remove my bank account. I will address this with the BBB I will also contact the home office. I will also report that he allows for the PT trainers to get members to pay them instead of purchasing the PT lessons.
Also, please save the reply of “the GM is only going by the rules “ Cause no the hell he is NOT.

I’ve been working out here for almost 4 months and there’s been the same broken machines since I came here. Many machines have very worn out pads, all of the benches have worn out pads. The gym only gets cleaned partially once every week or so.

A lot of the cleanliness could be fixed by members actually putting away their weights. Almost no one puts their plates or dumbbells away.

If they’d fix the broken machines, clean a little more often and replace the worn out pads on the benches it’d be a lot better and I’d give it 5 stars.

Update: the upright tanning and sauna are broken as well. With employees stating “who knows when they’ll be fixed” These being fixed would warrant a better review as well.

Edit 09 June: Tanning beds working again, some machines have been fixed and some torn pads have been replaced, changed review to 3 stars.

I hate to be this person, but I’m at my wit’s end. I don’t recommend signing up for personal training. I had my trainer for over a year, but he left abruptly. I was understanding and considerate about it. Tried out a different trainer but I was already independently weightlifting. Here’s the kicker: I was still being charged the same fee for 2 years without seeing a trainer. They said they’d fix it, but I didn’t receive any sessions or credits. The gym kept all my money. Not to mention, I received some emails that sessions were redeemed under my account. Who did this if it wasn’t me? Again, it’s supposed to be fixed. You all charged me $175/month for 2 years consecutively. In this economy?! Are you godless people? I tried setting up meetings with the manager— nothing. Tried speaking to someone in corporate— nothing. Wrote out a email with no response. Just a few months ago I saw a change on my account at $19 every 2 weeks. That’s some progress, but I’m supposed to be on a base plan of $13/month. It’s ridiculous how much money they will pocket. They need to be audited! The first audit didn’t scare them enough.

This location is a complete scam. They follow fraudulent behavior with no accountability. My husband signed up for a membership, had to cancel due to moving. I was a member for over a year and had to cancel my membership for something so stupid and unreasonable. I have a 2 year old and in all this time have never had any problems with the daycare until randomly 1 day all of a sudden they didn't allow the kids to have snacks. I was called not even 10 mins into my workout because my child crying so i went and they had her snacks hidden so when i got there i gave my child a snack and she stopped crying. The mamager Mario had the audacity to make me feel belittled by saying "That is why we suggest for them to have breakfast at home". OBVIOUSLY i feed my child at home but anyone who has toddlers KNOWS that they also want to be snacking all day long. The reason i am so upset is because if that was a rule all along, then enforce it from the start not after a whole year of me taking my child. It's like the situations of not having gym bags on the floor. It was a whole situation that even had a viral video of the same manager Mario and now i see everyone with gym bags on the floor again. If that rule was taken away i dont see why neglecting a child their snacks can't be taken off as well. There is even an employee who left for that reason because she felt bad not being able to give kids their snacks and them crying. For parents with small children I DO NOT recommend going to Crunch in Laredo!!!!!

Started doing body sculpt Yoga and ripped Pilates. My body is more flexible and my core strength is improving. The instructor, Cyntia S, is very accommodating. She makes me feel like I fit in evethough I am just a beginner. She does variations of yoga poses that I can do at the same time that she includes advanced yoga poses. Highly recommend it!

One significant issue is the cleanliness of the restrooms, which has deteriorated. Upon entering, there is an unpleasant odor that indicates a lack of maintenance. Additionally, I have found the manager to be quite strict and unprofessional when addressing questions regarding membership. There have been instances where I felt the responses were dismissive and not conducive to a supportive environment.

Furthermore, during a recent visit, I attempted to bring my 16-year-old nephew with me. The manager declined our request, stating that an ID and parent were required for entry. This requirement seemed inconsistent, as I have noticed other minors at the gym who appeared to be without parental supervision.

I hope that management will consider addressing these concerns to improve the overall experience for members. If improvements are made, I would be open to returning to the gym in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I appreciate the prices with that being said you can't help but say you get what you pay for. I don't think there's ever been a time where I've come to crunch at night and its been clean. They usually start cleaning by 6am when most of the people start showing up. Shouldn't they be picking up at least constantly 🤔 The late night crew is usually chilling in the couch or using the stairmaster, laughing, or in the back while the newbie is somewhat trying to pick up a few things. I get it's late ,but they should clean and then chill it's dirty as heck. Blood stains on the boxing heavy bags. The dumbbells are supper dirty my hands turn black when I grab them or when I touch the top somehow. They " " mop which the machine does it. I get that everything's expensive now so maybe they don't use the machine as often, but I'm sure a mop and a bucket can do a way better job reach more places and cost way less. I don't remember the last time they moved any machines to clean. If there's dust bunnies then that's an indication that it's pretty dirty. The crunch before was always clean the manager or supervisor would be super on point with the cleaning great guy Alfredo. They have no idea where any machine accessory is at nor mats. If they would pickup they would know where everything is and it would be easier to find. This crunch is way bigger and better, but it lacks in cleanliness and professionalism from the newbies to management. Please crunch address your issues if not you'll be closing your doors sooner than you think. And if I may add and if anyone actually reads this that's in charge of adding machines adding a straight smith machine would be great since the inclined machine available limits the amount of workouts you can do 🤞 sorry just had to throw that in there for those of us who need more assistance that would benefit and help a lot 🙂 thank you

But today they suddenly changed the politic that he has to be 6 months or older, like are you serious people? Even the manager agreed to this. Which is kinda controversial. I mean, you can have a person recording 5 to 10 feet away and be blocking the pathway, but you can't have a gym bag on the gloor right next to you. I was asked to go put my gym bag away, or I would have to leave the gym. I did them the favor and left and cancelled my membership. The audacity to tell me to either go buy a lock to put it away in the lockers or leave it at my vehicle. Basically I need to exercise, I have to go to a Gym and this one started to look as a good option because it is new... Well... I love their child care, they are really nice with kids and really entertain them... If we are talking of service, the front desk isn't great but everyone else are amazing... I consider myself less than a beginner and the best option for me was to get a trainer, she had been amazing, other trainers generally are nice and only a few are horrible. I had been able to ask a trainer about an exercise and mostly they answer fast and nicely... just a few told me, "I have no time", "You need to get your trainer" or "ask someone else, I'm using this machine" (when literally they just have their stuff there but aren't using it, just holding it for their clients). Luckily I do have my trainer but not every time I show up I will have her there! I guess everywhere has to have bad people but mostly all are great! There more good experiences than bad ones... and if you wanna know about the hidro massage beds... OMG AMAZING!!!... Overall I do recommend you to go, it is way better if you aren't a beginner but if you are, you better get a trainer. If not, you literally are by yourself...

The rules here are getting more subjective and stupid.

First they considered my small drawstring bag not a gym bag and then 20min later telling me it is. They might as well tell me not to bring a waterbottle next which I wouldn't be surprised.

In town for a while and needed a gym, went here and got the membership that i was told was a no contract anytime cancel membership. now that i need to cancel said membership I've been told i cant and that there is a 60 day period i have to wait to cancel, that's 2 more months of membership fees plus another annual fee, i wouldn't be frustrated if that's what i signed up for but it isn't. long story short liars that just want commissions and they'll say what you want to hear to get you to sign up.

Decent place to work out. Restrooms are not very clean. Also almost fell because the Manager of the place decided to pull my backpack which caused me to stumble back. This was to tell me to sign in even though I was already signed in and never left the building. Clear case of lawsuit.

You guys should really hire better employees for the establishment not really professional. I always see them standing around or talking to other guest when the restrooms are Dirty and piss all over the toilets And you guys promote 24/7 But only Monday through Thursday when it should Be all year round since that what the gym is promoting, I get out at midnight would be nice to get some more time in the gym in Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and looking into the reviews, I’m not the only one,do better crunch fitness.

Customer's responsibility to clean up and pick up after others. Many don't want to re-rack weights neither do the employees. Create jobs is you have to. The community College is better managed. Better gyms at the price. Consider others unless you just want it for the guest privilege.

Cool gym open 24 hours lots of room, Marie & Diana are very kind always smiling & attentive! Good energy.. & Cynthia Cardenas is a great trainer very knowledgeable. Great gym equipment just dont expect to get everything you pay for. The most expensive Subscription allows you to use the massage chairs, tanning booths, etc, however the night staff from midnight and further always claims that these machines are down and not working. This is highly unfair for people who are only able to go at night. There was a time where the sauna was down almost for 2 weeks. If we are getting charged a $50 maintenance fee, why are these things not getting fixed? Is it out of laziness that workers do not want to setup the machines? I can assume this because every time i see the workers they are sitting down by where the beverages are sold or talking with gym guests when the whole gym always needs attentions. As you can see from other reviews, it is always dirty. Things are never restocked. Crunch, do better please.

Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. From the parking lot to the weight room machines to the cardio pieces to the restroom. Wow. Either they don’t pay enough to get the staff hanging out in the front on their phones to clean or they just don’t hire a cleaning crew in the afternoon. Disgusting. The cleanliness of the men's bathroom is really very bad. There is paper, there is urine, dirt everywhere. the cleanliness is too bad by the gym staff. The water they use to wash the mops is thrown into the men's showers so the showers always smell like urine.

I used to love the old location. Ever since they opened this new one the music is always so loud (and so terrible) that I can’t hear my own, it seems like no one ever cleans it, and almost all the machines are being used or broken. I’ve seen some stains in the girls locker room that have been there since it opened. It only has one adequate changing room and the showers are not built well. I don’t know what it is about this new location either but there’s basically no such thing as re-racking here. I get that that’s the patrons fault but you’d think someone would go around and fix that if it’s open 24 hours. This place really fell off, only gave it two stars cause the trainer I had was cool and very helpful.

I’ve been a member at this gym for more than a year now. I’m always greeted by the front desk. Customer service has been extremely impressive compare to other gyms I’ve joined in Laredo. Staff members have worked with me to upgrade my membership, change my key-tag without any fees, and always make me feel welcomed. Crunch Laredo has a variety of cardio machines that I get to use, and also a huge amount of energy drinks to give you that boost for a great work out. My questions are always answered by the managers or staff members and their easy to approach for any concerns. Gym is always sanitized and clean when I go for my workouts. I would recommend anybody to join Crunch Laredo.
