Cypress Academy has been great for our family for years. Between gymnastics classes, camps and parents night out, we are always finding something fun, active and social to enjoy there. But the best part may be having birthday parties there. We recently had a double party (3.5 hours) and the three coaches, Daniel, Trace, and Natalia did an awesome job helping decorate, serving food, cleaning up, and of course, making sure the kids were having fun out on the floor.

We had my daughter’s 9th birthday party at CAG and it was wonderful! From the moment we got there everything ran smooth. We were assigned a coach who did everything - from helping us set up/clean up to passing out pizza, cake and drinks to everyone including the parents. He did almost everything which was great because I felt like I could sit back and enjoy the party and guests! Definitely recommend having a kids party here!

Among the wonderful coaches here, Coach Noelle stands out as the most dedicated, professional, and caring instructor we’ve met. My daughter absolutely loves her classes and looks forward to them every week. Her strict yet loving approach not only motivates the kids but also gives parents confidence in the program. My daughter Tehani loves Cypress Academy Summer camp at both Huffmeister and Blackhorse locations. Her favorite days were water days with the big inflatables and show (skit) days. They send out the week's theme days, offer before and after care and friendly/safe environments. They do so many fun activities she falls asleep on our way home. We recently celebrated my daughter Alaya’s birthday, and Coach Stephanie and Destin truly exceeded all our expectations! 🎉 From start to finish, everything was handled with care and professionalism. Alaya had guests ranging from 1 to 11 years old, and somehow Coach Stephanie and Destin managed to keep everyone entertained and engaged !

The setup was smooth and organized, the activities were fun and age appropriate for all the kids, and the clean up was handled seamlessly. My 15 year old attended a free trial of the Intermediate Tumbling class today (6-16-25), and I was blown away by how interactive Coach Jurneai (and her coaching assistants) was with all of the students, and by the amount of tumbling skills they worked on in just a one hour class. My daughter begged me to sign her up for the class afterward.

I was here to set up a balloon display for a party, and the staff up at the front desk were attentive, helpful and detailed from the start. Alexis, Trinity and Anthony were the three that were helping me directly, and I’d love to acknowledge how hard working and kind they were to me. Literally angels on EARTH. They were also accommodating my schedule as I was unable to pick up the display at the time scheduled- they went as far as to dismantle the whole display and set it aside for me in pieces for easier pick up.

I had a bad experience. I had been waiting for a long time for a good coach recommended by them. The day arrived and my daughter did not feel comfortable. The teacher did not even pay attention to her, she left her alone to do everything by herself. My daughter is in the process of learning and needs that support. My daughter decided to leave crying and the teacher did not notice and continued with her class. What a bad way and lack of tact to work from that coach. Her name is Leah. I left very upset and disappointed with this teacher, especially with my daughter crying. She loves gymnastics, but with these things she does not even want to go back and that makes me very sad.

I called her with an issue regarding the make-up sessions and registration fees.....particularly, why can't I use the make up sessions if I do not pay the monthly fees when in fact we paid the annual registration fees (that should cover the period during which I plan to use the make up sessions). First, she said the registration fees is used to renew equipment and fix broken ones (while I disagree, but OK). I asked why can't I plan the make up a month or two ahead - as I have 25 sessions for 2 kids combined - to avoid being told "No availability" on a weekly basis which happened many times, I was told that is not an option.
She said this policy has been in place for 17 years and all parents are abide by it, so I suggested to change the policy as it might be overdue for a policy change....Then I suugested to have a twice-a-month make up sessions (fixed timing) so we can plan ahead.....Carol hung-up the line while I was talking.

Coaches are great and treat kids wonderfully.....that's the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars......I encourage parents to find a place that is flexible with their needs and care for your precious kids.

We celebrated my daughter’s 4th birthday at the Black Horse location and we could not be happier. We had a group of 9 kiddos and our Coach was Destin. It must have been a slow weekend for parties as we had the run of the gym! I have to say our Coach made the party. From helping me unload the car to providing all the instructional fun for the kids ( they had SO much fun ) to helping us cut cake and even cleaning up. Definitely request Destin as your coach when booking your kiddos party. My daughter went to bed saying it was the “Best Birthday Ever”. Thank you Cypress Academy of Gymnastics and Destin!

My daughter started at Cypress Academy Huffmeister about 7 months ago after she was above what I could teach her at little gym when she was 2 and about then about 8 months at another gym. She has been very happy there and loves the coaches. Today was her first class for the new season at Blackhorse location and she loves this location also. The coaches did a new evaluation on her and moved her up to elementary level at 4 years, 4 months, so she is even happy now and looking forward to advancing much further over the next year. I use this as some of my daddy/daughter, where it is just her and I. The coaches they employ at Cypress Academy work well the kids, teach them the required skills they need, and try to keep the kids advancing at each kids level on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to keep the kids engaged.

For context, I had a horrible experience at a birthday party in another Cypress Academy staffed by some snooty girls 2 years ago , so I came here with low expectations. Our friend’s group had Emily and Jackie. They were the complete opposite in the best way. Very patient and warm with my feral boys and good at redirecting them without being abrasive like our other experience. Very impressed with this location and will be glad to come back soon

The facility is great. They focus a lot on young children so I find it the perfect activity for our little one!

Gymnastics in general is an excellent base for athletic performance in the future, so it’s a great place to start.

My daughter has a lot of fun there and they have a play area for some unstructured play at the end of every session. The kids all love it.

The one thing I will criticize about the place is that a lot of the staff are high school/college age and there is a LOT of turnover. It’s overall excellent and we’ll keep her here despite that.

Mike the “coach” is unfit to be a kids coach in my opinion. Every time I talked to him I felt very uncomfortable with how he talked to me. Always on his phone texting away rather than paying attention to the kids. Had to take my girl out of his class due to his lack of enthusiasm and aggravation displayed towards the kids when they did not listen. He gives directions through words and doesn’t physically show the kids how to do things. How is a 4 year old suppose to understand how to do things they’ve never done before giving them verbal direction?? They’re kids “coach”.

We’ve been a part of Cypress Academy (off & on) since my first daughter was 2. So 14 years. The service there is really outstanding. I recommend using the Saturday clinics or make ups to try out different coaches and find the right fit for your kiddo. Love that kids can start as a beginner at a later age and fit right in because there are sooo many kids enrolled and the classes are tiered to accommodate different levels and ages. The first class is a free trial so..try it out!

Invited here for a friend’s birthday party. As I walked into the building, it was noticeable a lot warmer than it was outside. I informed the lady employee that my son had severe eco Al from head to toe and if they would lower the air conditioning. She said she would see about losing the air, but will make sure the fans are on high. As the party came to an end and we gathered at the tables to eat, mind I mention this was after the children played on all the activities; we were walked to a very warm area to be seated and my son immediately started full blown itching and turning red. I asked again to please lower the air and the same lady gave me a look of being annoyed and said she could not lower it more than what it was set. I asked to speak with the manager which she said had already left for the day.. A minute of two later a gentleman approached me and stated he apologizes but they can not lower the air below 75 degrees!!! That is HEAT temperature! We had to leave early because my son could not enjoy himself and busted up in hives! I would not recommend for anyone with children who have eczema.

Been so impressed with this place. They are organized, friendly, and the facility is clean. I haven’t participated in the extra activities but they are constantly offering things outside of the normal weekly classes. I appreciate that they do evaluations multiple times a year to be sure your child is advancing when needed. The coaches have great control of the classes (even the young ages). My 6 year old grandson had a great birthday party at Cypress Academy! He and his guests enjoyed the obstacle course and the climbing stations. The hostess, Flynn, was amazing and relieved my daughter from decorating the tables. My daughter and son-in-law could actually relax, take pictures, and greet the guests' parents. We LOVE coach Charlize and Erin. They are truly one of a kind. That’s the ONLY reason this place gets any stars. Stay FAR away from Victoria, she’s not normally at this location but she does frequent this location. She is physically aggressive with small children and it’s unacceptable. My daughter had bruises on her from that girl. That’s the reason I pulled my girls. No person should ever be allowed to work with children that treats them the way she does. Not to mention she has a horrible attitude. I had canceled my account over a month ago but still was charged for this month. I called today and the person who I spoke with about Victoria hurting my child and canceling my account didn’t even cancel my girls accounts.

Also if you have any Covid concerns stay away. This place is packed in the afternoon/evenings. A mask will not protect you against that many people in one facility. In addition their mountain is a breeding ground of germs and filth. There is no way fogging could clean that thing properly. Between the vomit and human waste it is disgusting. A little boy peed all over it and they put a paper towel over it instead of actually cleaning it.

Words cannot describe how amazing the coaches are with the kids here! They create this magical world making everyone feel special and safe by giving their undivided attention, energetic energy, and professional guidance.

This past weekend, my kid had his 6th bday here and JANTZEN and DAVID ROCKED IT!!!

I was kind of concerned only having 15mins to set up, however, JANTZEN AND DAVID immediately took over and set up EVERYTHING!!! The put the table covers on, hung the photo booth decor on the wall, sat the table with plates and napkins, and organized the pizza, drinks, presents, and cakes. For an hour, they gave the children their undivided attention on the floor. When they came back to the party area, JANTZEN AND DAVID sat the children, served them pizza and juice boxes, and continued to cater to the kids! Cake time! J and D placed the candles on the cakes, lit the candles, and led the “happy birthday” song. Then J and D cut and served the cake!! After cake, they took the kids back out on the floor for 30mins and wore them out!! Finally, when the party was over, JANTZEN and DAVID cleaned and picked up everything, loaded left overs, presents, and salvageable decor in my jeep and the rest is history!!!
We will definitely have more bday parties here! I will definitely recommend to my friends and family to also have parties here!
