My granddaughter didn’t like her teacher and didn’t want to go back to class. She was absent for 3 months but I continued to pay each month as it was on auto draft. When I found out she wasn’t attending I asked them if they can give me a refund for those months and they refused. I find it odd that you would continue to collect payment yet not be concerned that the student was not attending. Once I called to cancelled then they offered to move her to another class. Hmmmm…. You weren’t concerned for my grand child for missing 3 months of classes and you were ok with taking money for no work performed. Yeah no.

My daughter has been in the DSA’s rhythmic gymnastics program for the last 7 years and she’s absolutely loved every minute of it - the modern facilities, the friendly atmosphere, and above all – the amazing coaches. I can’t say enough good things about coach Tatiana! After achieving international recognition as a World champion, she successfully transitioned to a brilliant coach, who truly cares about the kids. She not only teaches high level rhythmic skills, but also choreographs different routines, tailored to the individual strengths of each gymnast. She also incorporates classical ballet into the group practices, since it is an essential part of the sport.
Under coach Tatiana’s direct guidance, my daughter won many medals from various invitational, state, and regional competitions, and even participated in the National Championships. Coach Tatiana started working with my daughter as a beginner and inspired her to become the current All-Around Texas State Champion! A dedicated professional and a remarkable person, Tatiana is the best rhythmic gymnastics coach you can find!

We had our 7yr old girls party there and the kids all had a great time. When I walked in to set up the manager was kind and asked me to fill out the form and explained the rules of the facility to me and he handed my daughter her birthday shirt. He was watchful of the kids on the equipment and he helped all of them with different techniques. He explained/showed them how to use certain mats. The kids loved him. He even helped my 2yr old with some stuff. I have nothing but kind words for our experience. Adults and kids had a great time!! Thank you DSA for helping give my girl a wonderful party!

I don’t know where to start. This past weekend was my grandson’s 3rd birthday party. So many wonderful people came. What was NOT wonderful was the horrible service and treatment we received. The lights were off, we had one person attending us, not two. Where was the cake cutting service and trash service? My son in law did it all. I will never be okay with someone treating my daughters the way the attendant did and even the owner did. If you want to be spoken down to because you are a woman, or if you want your wife or little girl treated less than… this is the place to go. Don’t waste your time here.

I’ll start by saying my experience is based on hosting a birthday party at this facility for a bunch of kiddos who are looking to let some energy out and have fun, and is not related to the everyday serious training needs of any up and coming gymnasts. That said, based on my experience, I still would not send my children here if they were seriously training for the sport. I would advise caution before bringing your children or family here.

We held my nephew’s third birthday party here and were treated very poorly. After watching how both a coach and the owner of the facility treated and spoke to many adults, I would be weary to leave any kids in these current coaches hands and under their supervision. They were abhorrent to adults, so that makes me very worried for what may go on or how the kids are treated when adults aren’t watching…I do specify “current” coaches because I’m sure former coaches that taught here have been great and do not deserve to be associated with this facility. From my understanding, they’ve lost a lot of their coaches recently from bad management, and it shows in how poorly they executed this event, treated their customers, and were not hands on with the kids.

1. From the time we arrived, the coach who was there very obviously did not want to be there… he was rude, had a sour look on his face when we walked in, and there were suppose to be 2 coaches on site to engage with the kids. It was only the 1.
2. When booking, we were told adults could jump around and have fun with their kids. 3 separate adults asked me why they were scolded by the coach for doing so. Even if this was a misunderstanding of the rules, there is a way to nicely clarify for your guests.
3. I asked to speak to the coach away from the guests to see what the misunderstanding may be, and he refused to have a conversation and only repeated “there are rules that I can show you.” I am a rule follower so I’m not looking to break rules, but I am looking to be treated and spoken to respectfully. When I told him that he could communicate nicer, he justified by saying “that’s how I am and it’s a problem of mine.” Didn’t apologize, but used “that’s how I am” as an excuse to be unkind.
4. The owner came to the facilities and when he inquired on specifics of our bad experience, I explained that we expected 2 coaches, and the 1 coach on site is being rude to guests that 4 adults had asked me if there was an issue and why he was angry. His energy of not wanting to be there was palpable…He stood to the side with a scowl on his face and arms crossed. The owner told me, “tell you what, I’ll ask him to put a red nose on his face just so you think he looks happy.” I was appalled. I didn’t appreciate being mocked when I gave him the honest feedback he asked for.
5. He continued to ask for examples, and refuted the ones said, while saying he wanted to make the experience better for future guests who engage with this coach. While I respect that, I also communicated that I wasn’t concerned about his business’s future patrons, that I was concerned with the present and I didn’t see him taking any action to make things better right now for his current guests.
6. My final straw was when I tried to excuse myself and said I didn’t see this being a productive talk, he told me I need to calm down and enjoy my child’s party (it was for my nephew but still…) I never once raised my voice until this moment. I told him it’s not right to speak to paying customers so condescendingly and he shouldn’t tell people who are actively having a bad experience to calm down, especially when they’ve been polite throughout the issues.

I know this is a competitive gym that trains a lot of talented gymnasts, and while I respect the dedication to the sport, a child’s party is not the same environment and doesn’t need to be treated coldly. If they didn’t want kids having fun and not training, they shouldn’t have allowed the space to be rented.

My daughter is in the 7 year old class and absolutely loves her coach Tatina bunch. She is very good with the young ladies and my daughter really looks forward to it. Try out a private class. It’s worth it!

My daughter has been going here for a month (one class a week) for gymnastics, and let me tell you, they are fantastic! She has learned so much in that timeframe. She went from being scared to even attempt a cartwheel to being almost fearless. She’s almost mastered a front flip and can do a hand stand now! She gets more and more disciplined with every practice. Her coach is great with her. He’s very patient. The price for what we’re getting back is extremely affordable. Thank y’all a million times over!!

Runnn!!! Do not do business with these people. The owner is money hungry and has no integrity. His receptionist billed my account by mistake and he refused to give me back my money. He decided I attack my character and business ethics when trying I had made several different communication attempts with these ppl. I even watched him yell at his own kid to tears, because he was tired and over worked. The instructor are ok , but business no. Save your coins.

My daughter And I are in the toddler class like mom & Tod class. My daughter enjoys this class so much! The faculty is so sweet. The coach literally is the best hands down. I am so glad we found this place. The only thing I wish could be different is if classes could be 2 days a week instead of 1 that’d be sweet!

My daughter is a level 9 competitive rhythmic gymnast and she loves Coach Tatiana! Under Coach Tatiana’s guidance, my daughter was able to come back from a major setback and she made Junior Olympics last year. Between Coach Tatiana and her husband, Coach Sergyi, (who heads the competitive artistic gymnastics program) they bring an unparalleled coaching experience and programs to the Houston area for boys and girls of all ages and experience levels. They are both World Champions in their respective sport themselves, so they understand their athletes on all levels! I highly recommend DSA!
