I’ve been a member of Fitness1440 for 4 years now. Unfortunately this last year, the image and maintenance of the gym has been on total decay (even though they charge an annual $50 maintenance fee to every user). The water fountains are never working, and when they do they are always leaking - despite the fact that they just replaced them with brand new units a couple of months ago, they are out of service again, it feels like their down time is greater then their operating time throughout the year. The artificial turf was removed due to a flooding caused by recent rain events that also affected the baseboard around the walls, making ~1/3 of the gym area unusable and with no signs of being fixed soon. The bathrooms are no longer equipped with hand soap dispensers but rather, they have watered-down soap bottles. Chilled towels are also no longer available and sometimes, there are no towels available at all. There are hand-written signs all over the gym that make the image of the establishment look really bad.

This gym will scam you. I had canceled my membership years ago, and they somehow started charging me again. I had to label them as fraud and change all my bank information. I canceled back in 2022 and 2023, and again in 2024! The manager is a rude little boy, and hasn't stopped harassing me. I've had to block their number many times!

This place has been scamming me since 2022. I've had to cancel my account multiple times after I was signed up for a 6 month program with a trainer, and they continued to charge me for a year without me noticing. They called me for a payment after I had switched banks, I told them. I wanted to cancel my account yet again. And was met with resistance about me canceling my membership. I had to call my bank and have them put a block payment on them in 2024 in August. And I was recently charged by them yet again after I canceled and removed my bank information from them. I had to report them as fraud with my bank and cancel yet AGAIN. I still have them trying to contact me for payment even though I have quit 3 times since 2022.

I recently joined Fitness 1440 to train with Andrea, and I’ve been seriously impressed! I didn’t expect much at first, but the cleanliness of the gym really stood out—it’s clear they care about the space and keep it in top shape. The equipment is high-quality and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is super welcoming. Everyone I’ve met has been friendly and positive, which makes coming to the gym something I actually look forward to. I’ve found my spot—definitely not going anywhere any time soon!

I loved this gym at first but it isn’t worth the money, and the customer service is nonexistent. I moved out of state 4 months ago and cancelled my membership before leaving, and am somehow still being charged. I have tried calling 3 times in the past month to speak to an employee and get this resolved. Each time they take down my information and tell me their manager will get back to me, but I’ve yet to hear back at all. This place is ridiculous. Trust me, keep looking.

I was visiting family for the holidays and decided to try out Fitness1440 7-day trial its a solid gym! The facility is clean, and the equipment is in good condition. The 24/7 access is for members only! The staff is friendly, However, there could be a few improvements in terms of space and variety of equipment. Still, it’s a good place to work out!

I had two duplicate memberships. After finally being able to cancel one. The second one has taken 4 phone calls in 6 months. And I am being charged a $225 cancellation fee.

I was in town for 3 months and talked with the owner about a short term membership. The owner agreed to cancel my membership after 3 months, yet never did. They never answer the listed phone number and continue to charge my card. I have since disputed the charges but now deal with calls regarding incomplete payments. This company has been quite the hassle, I do not recommend.

From a former member : HERE ARE MY 3 REASONS WHY THIS GYM MIGHT BE A NO FOR YOU!

1 - They also will try to overcharge your membership and add additional fees randomly hoping you won’t notice and if you do, they will say it’s part of your “contract”. The employees here aren’t much help when it comes to any issues or questions when it comes to this matter nor will a manager be of any assistance. So be prepared to come out of pocket when they do this.

2 - this gym is a “employees Playhouse” employees, who work here treat the gym as if it is their house. They have no manners for other people who are working out! I understand they work for the company, but they should have the same level of respect they expect member to have for other members. For example ; they play music from their own playlist/phone out loud on the speakers. I understand gyms have background music however, just let a normal playlist play. We don’t want to hear you switch the song mid song because you don’t like it nor do we want to hear songs about X-rated things constantly.
Another thing employees do on a consistent basis is record their PR or just any clips for Instagram or social media while they lift. That’s fine and all but as an employee I don’t think you should be putting your customers on camera without asking them.. (yes, I have had an issue with an employee recording me while doing their set before)
Moral of the story Expect the employees to act like they are superior and they can do as they please here.

3 - LACK of amenities.
This one is short to the point the amenities here are horrible. They raise the price and took more than 75% of the amenities away. I advise you to go somewhere else. Been a member here and I’m no longer a member because of everything they once had is no longer there. Not to mention 50% of the machines here are extremely WORN DOWN. They will OVERCHARGE you @ this gym & DO NOT OFFER anything worthy in return. The equipment/staff is not up to par for the price are asking.

Been coming here for a couple of years. The past month, they tripled my membership fees without a notice. Have talked to "management" (which seems to rotate every month) multiple times and they keep telling me its been taken care of, yet I still get duplicate charges. Machines take months to be repaired, towels are never in stock. If it wasn't for the great trainers and people here I would have stopped coming a long time ago.

Cute gym! Front desk staff needs more training, horrible customer service :( especially that girl named kika . Never had a problem w my membership till now.
Raised membership prices saying they were going to improve the gym but nothing is improving. No new equipment, no better speakers, not even towels or even a new system lol just staff staying later for what????.. anyways canceled my membership. Make sure youre off the 1yr contact before you cancel tho!! :)

When I visit my family in El Paso I always look forward to this gym. It's not the biggest gym but it has everything that I need, from stairmasters to squat racks. The best part is, they're 24/7.
If you decide to give it a try, ask for Steve, he's the best, he's super helpful to all the members. I highly recommend this gym to anyone going for a long term monthly membership and also just couple weeks temporary gym.

Amazing gym, not too big, not too small, it's just right. All new and great equipment, the people who go are nice, they put their weights away, and clean up after themselves unlike planet and EP. Recovery rooms are amazing on muscles after a great workout and I have yet to try the tanning beds but hear they are good too.

You are told by John the manager (buff guy that always wears caps) that your contract only lasts 6 months, and also that you get a couple of months free on a so-called promotion, where you supposedly will only pay 15 dollars a month. In reality, the contract is 12 months, you are not getting anything free, and you pay 30 bucks a month. Gym also caters to casuals (go to their Insta page and they only promote out-of-shape people, be it -respectfully - underweight or overweight) instead of the actual buff members of the gym that work out hard. The last part is more forgivable, but definitely watch out for their dishonest practices.

everything is great with this gym while you’re in the contract but GOOD LUCK trying to cancel your membership. I’ve been back and forth with staff for 3 months now. Staff is not trained properly as everyone has been telling me different information regarding my membership. Their promotions are also false advertisements as I signed up for “2 months free” however I’m getting told my contract is a total of 12 months even tho it clearly states in my econtract that I only have to pay 10 months. Only sign up to this gym if you’re trying to be a member for life because that’s the only way I see it working out for you lol. 0/5

I would like to say that it’s a nice place to work out! The equipment is under good conditions and the place is clean. One of the main reasons that pushes me to come every day and to enjoy my workouts is due to my trainer. Marina is an excellent trainer by providing a safe and effective exercise program. I can honestly say that I started from the bottom with no weights and now I am slowly pushing myself.

So I did like this gym went their for a year. Proceeding to cancel my membership after 1 year as I was leaving the area. Well come to find out the guy in the front desk never cancelled my membership and these guys charged me like if I was still going their months down the line. Tried to talk to the manager his name was Josh. This guy has bad communication skills and didn't do his job well because he got none of my money back for their screwup. A year ago this gym was great! But after the pandemic started it all went down hill. Nobody wears face masks or socially distances (not even the employees or trainers). I feel like they don't even follow the half capacity rule thr restaurants follow. Also I was starting get a little iffy about it when they refused to close when Judge Samaniego issued the 2 week lock down.The few good things about it is that it's 24/7, and you have scan your card to open the door when not in business hours.So while I do feel safe as a woman not so much for my health. Which is ironic.

My review is honest and sincere. I’ve had my membership at right about a year and unfortunately I’m getting ready to cancel. Most of the staff is kind, one of the owners is very nice and attentive to his clients. My review is based on a promotion I was offered at one point. It turns out... inaccurate. I will not argue about it, simply I’ll just walk away . I understand we all struggled as business owners during this pandemic. I was not happy, definitely a lack of communication on their part. I’m not here to talk bad about anyone, it’s just an honest review. Honesty and client retention is important to many of us. My advice is, if you get a membership, clarify a few times on what your signing up for and make sure you have it in writing. My mistake was I signed up just verbally, paid and signed on a pad.

These people are dishonest and don’t care about helping potential new members! I went in for a free trial, which on the website says it’s for 3 days. You’d think that means 3 consecutive days, right? However, at the end of my tour, the lovely lady working there said I’d have 7 days in which to use up my 3 free days. That sounded great to me! I even asked her to verify that’s what she said bc I wanted to make sure I had the right info. Well when I came back a few days later to use another day, the guy who was working at the front desk went to check me in and says “No you only had 3 consecutive days to use the passes”. Well that’s not what I was told!! I told him what the other employee had told me, but he just shrugged his shoulders and said oh well. I walked out after that. I get there can be miscommunication between employees, but the fact this guy didn’t even try to make any amends or apologize for this mistake really turned me off. If they had really wanted my business they could’ve done something besides says “oh well” and treat me like I was the idiot. It’s too bad bc it’s a nice facility.

I do not recommend this gym at all. It it is very small and crowded at times. I went a couple days ago and there was nobody making sure people followed the quarantine guidelines. People were all over each other, no towels or gloves, and caugh a couple leaving the machines dirty. Also, best part is you can't cancel or break your contract so you once you sign you are locked for 12 months or however long the contract says.
