If you try canceling your membership, make sure they cancel it. I moved away from Monahans TX. I cancelled in person. I then had to cancel a second time over the phone. I stopped getting billed. Thought everything was good. 7 months later, I get a collection notice! I owe them over $300! I call, email, and message them through the website! I paid the collection agency. And I got back from 828, “Thank you!” So Beware of canceling your membership. Because you too might have your account sold to a collection agency probably for $100. And be thrown a negative mark on your credit report. And there response will be, “Thank you!”

Very dishonest. Canceled because they charged $35 return fee because the card they had on file wasn’t valid. Even though I paid the same day with a different card they still charged me an extra $35. Some Christians they claim to be. What a joke. Save the time and hassle and go to another gym.

This gym is and always has been great from day one that my wife and I started! They have everything you need for a great workout. For those of you like me with little motivation…..no worries they offer a variety of classes with great instructors. My favorite is the Sprint class. The owners are great people. We have always felt welcome here and all the staff genuinely make you feel like family! Don’t forget to try their Exalt gym that is attached to the east side of the building. membership price are reasonable for this small community. Many may say its too much but I’m a firm believer of you get what you pay for. Keep up the great work Fitness 8:28!!!

I have to comment about this gym negatively the price for one is insanely too high I feel as if they are taking advantage of the oil field around them due to their size and “brand” of equipment. It’s not state of the art like arsenal or panatta. I’m from Houston with some of the larger gym and they are half the price as this little 20 people gym. It could have so much better potential if the pricing wasn’t so high $50 sign up bonus plus $89 month to month is absolutely ludicrous. I paid $15 day pass had a decent pump but I will not be back for them to rob me there are plenty of other gyms out here who have the same machines and way less pay. We work too hard for our money for these ridiculous gym membership prices don’t let them take advantage of you even if they have a tanning bed 🤣

This gym is terrible! They barely have a dozen machines that people will just sit on for 15-20 minutes. Their "staff" who are running the little daycare have kids running around throughout the gym. They will also sit on the machines without even using the equipment while holding babies (yes babies), and having a conversation for half an hour with other women. Good luck even finding a parking spot either! Just this morning at 5am there wasn't a single open parking space in front or on the side of the building.

They also double charged me their annual fee before my first full year. They also neglected to even mention the annual fee. Plus they conveniently failed to email me my copy of the contract.

Will not answer phones, return calls, or honor their own policies.
My wife and I were in this area on military orders for less than 1 month. We prepaid for the one month, completed the cancellation paperwork and provided our orders for relocation. We were then charged for 3 more months despite dozens of calls, voicemails, and emails. We had to cancel the credit card we had used to stop them from billing us.
I have been calling daily, but am only able to leave messages that they never return. After looking at other review it seems as if theft and breach of contract is the basis of their business model.
Update 12-23-19
They have now instructed us to Email them at the same email address we have been sending multiple messages too. Hope this is different !

LITERALLY THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!! we cancelled our membership SEVERAL times because we moved. Yet we are still being charged monthly. The first time I tried to get this situation resolved I contacted the gym directly. The girl who answered the phone was very rude and hung up on me after I asked for the owners information to get the situation taken care of. I have tried to contact them through Facebook with no avail (I left a review on their page as well as directly inboxing the owner herself and no reaponse) it’s now two months since we were told we were getting our $96 refund and guess what? Our account was charged again today! If you make the mistake of going to this gym-make sure you pay in cash because they are shady and will continue to take your money even though you have been told several times that your membership has been cancelled.

I really loved this place, I workout at morning or night so it was usually totally empty maybe there were like two or three persons but that's all. Equipment is brand new so that's good part.

Way over priced. Very nice gym inside, but shady. When I was given my tour, apparently it wasn't by a paid employee, and they gave me false information on the gym. I just moved to Monahans and knew I might be moving soon, so I asked if they had a cancelation fee, was told no if I could prove I was moving/transferring. Few months went by, my card was charged and all was good. When I ended up moving, I went in and talked to them in person, they said ok just send us proof of the move. Perfect. Then called me after I left and informed me there would be a cancelation fee regardless, dispute what they told me. Then when they charged my card they entered my information wrong, making my card decline then, so they could add a 25$ card decline fee as well. Shady.
