I first got this membership about a year ago and at first it was fine but slowly everything started breaking down. There’s leaky ceilings were buckets are placed to catch the dripping water, machines are constantly broken and lastly the women’s sauna is always broken. As the sauna was one of the amenities I preferred this really sucks because they “don’t know” when it will be fixed. It has been going on for months and it’s just very frustrating. It’s not like they don’t have money to fix the issue when they have hundreds of paying memberships contributing to their income. At this point there should be reimbursement for the countless of months the sauna has been useless.

I've only ever done physical therapy so a gym was a big step and she made it easy. I am so frustrated with them. I had joined February 25 with the plus membership so I was paying about $30 . I recently wanted to downgrade because I wasn’t using the perks and honestly I should’ve just cancelled right then and there because their sauna is always broken and half of their equipment doesn’t work. The guy told me he could give me a discount with my member ship that I already had because he said if I cancelled I would have to create a new account and I would be charged an annual fee. So I agreed and he proceeded to still make a new account . He lied and he also told me to sign the contract agreeing that they would not be responsible if I got hurt and I signed only for THAT! That is the only thing he told/showed me! Today I got charged for the annual fee and I thought it was a mistake I tried to resolve it and they keep avoiding me and telling me they will charge me for next month and a $100 cancellation fee like are yall okay? Why would I do that to myself? If they had been clear and not lied I would just kept my old one . they know what they are doing. At this point it’s not about the money . What they are doing isn’t right and they are just trying to get money from their commission which is why he created a new account without my permission in the first place.

The women’s bathroom is horrible ! The lighting is out in the back of the dressing room and the sauna in the women’s room has been out for almost 2 months now which is very inconvenient. Many people only get the membership because of the sauna and this makes me as well as others want to cancel and go to another place. If it’s not fixed soon I will def be canceling.

Last year I went to this location with a day pass to try out the establishment, I have never been in a fitness connection before (up to this date) and they didn’t let me in because my ID didn’t show a Garland address. They didn’t let me walk pass the front desk. They said their policy with free passes is that you have to have a valid ID with a Garland address in order to let you in at the garland branch. I have never heard anything like this anywhere. The worst thing was, there’s no fitness connection gym where I live, I told them this and I asked them what solution they could offer (i thought maybe I could pay just for one day access fee or something) , and they replied that I should get an ID with a garland address in order to allow me inside the building. I went to this location because it happens to be close to where I work (I work in garland but live in Rockwall area, also told them this fact) so no, I wouldn’t recommend this branch. I think this policy is unfortunate and I disagree with it completely.

I haven't been a member for years but recently moved and was looking for a gym close by my house. I signed up for the 5 day trial pass online, just for the front desk lady (I think her name was Kaitlyn) to tell me I couldn't be let in. She said the trial pass is for NEW members ONLY but I kindly asked her to make an exception since I have not been a member for years and only ever worked out at one location. Then I asked if I could sign up and she started that process, until she asked for my ID and saw my address on there was for my old residence. She said I would be subject to additional fees because they go off location closest to what your residence says on your ID, even when I explained to her I moved recently! I was pretty much giving them a free membership and Kaitlyn made it nearly impossible to sign up. I can't imagine how she treats other people looking to join!

I usually don’t write bad reviews because I always give people the benefit of the doubt, but I do like writing good reviews for people that go out of their way to help you. I had a rough morning getting ready for my day, burnt my breakfast spilled my coffee, had forgotten today is trash day so once I finally got to fitness connection of course it started to rain. As I was struggling to fix my umbrella a customer service employee ( EMMA) not only opened the door for me but also offered to hold my drowned wet umbrella in the front desk …..that’s what I call exceeding exceptions. This place has really turned around in the last year if you left for some reason give it another chance .
