Joined this gym for 2 reasons: 24 hour access and the very unique equipment that every other gym I have seen does not have. You get amazing equipment without paying crazy monthly fees. Gym kept clean and has everything I would ever need for a solid workout!

I’ve been a loyal member of this gym for over three years, and it’s honestly disappointing to see how far it’s fallen. The place is always dirty — it’s clear that cleaning is not a priority. The equipment is dusty, the floors are filthy, and the bathrooms are often in unacceptable condition. It’s honestly disgusting, and it’s frustrating as a paying member to see zero improvement over time.

I want to be clear that I’ve never had any issues with the rest of the staff — they’ve always been respectful and professional. But there is one male employee who consistently seems more focused on enforcing minor rules, like stopping people from making noise with weights, rather than doing his part to help maintain the gym. This isn’t personal — it’s just frustrating to watch important responsibilities being neglected while the facility continues to deteriorate.

After three years of loyalty, I finally decided to cancel my membership. It’s clear that members’ concerns aren’t being heard, and I refuse to keep paying for a facility that doesn’t value cleanliness or the overall member experience.

Be careful where you go for a gym!! When I originally set up my membership over a year ago I definitely liked the setup and equipment they have available for use. Shortly after making the membership I started having physical issues preventing me from being able to work out and have tried for months to reach them by calling but the voicemail is always full. Recently I sent an email that's even supposed to be to the owner I still have no response. Now I have to go through the trouble of sending a certified letter just to be able to get my membership canceled because we can't make it convenient for their members. Worst part is when I finally had the ability to go into the gym and try to discuss it the lady at the desk kept being derogatory talking about you need to call during working hours even though I was and evidently couldn't hear me the first few times I said it. It's not only the fact she kept saying it it's the manner for attitude and what she conveyed while saying it.

Awesome gym, kind and helpful staff. The turf is well taken care of and solid size. Love going there at any time of day. With the 24/7 access people can go whenever they want, so even though it’s not commercial sized, I don’t have to wait for the equipment I want or need. If you want a gym with kind culture and a good playlist, this is a great place to be!

Buyer Beware!

If you’re thinking about joining a gym for the new year I would avoid Fitness Now. We were lied to about it being a month to month contract. Then we were told if we just paid an extra fee of $58 we could get out of the contract, which we paid. And yet they are still trying to collect from us and saying they will send it to collections if we do not pay.

We have tried all the normal routes to handle this issue so now we go to the internet and next the Better Business Bureau.

Reputation is everything in this buisness. I’d avoid these people.

Please save yourself the trouble and don’t even bother with this one. The cancellation process is no short of a nightmare.

You would think that a business would have the customers best interest at heart, yet this is definitely NOT the case with fitness now. After endless phone calls and complaints, the only way for you to cancel your membership is to :

1. Pray that somebody answers the telephone when you call
2. Get your membership ID number
3. Retrieve their PO Box address (located in another state)
4. Formally write their payment company a letter including all above info requesting to cancel membership
5. MAIL BY CERTIFY MAIL (yes that’s right, you need to PAY to cancel your membership)
6. And even after all this you still have to pay the last months membership

4 years later of them siphoning membership dues from my bank account l (despite only going for the first few months) I have finally finished the cancellation process.

I went to this gym for only a few months before having to move away for work so I had to cancel my membership and when trying to do so, I Sent in my certified letter to the company to have my membership canceled. I even talk to a lady named Elizabeth who claimed she was the general manager and she even emailed me saying that my account was fully closed out and I recently looked at my credit report and it showed that I had a collection for $260 on my credit because they forgot to turn in my paperwork please be cautious when giving them your credit or debit card information as they do not cancel your account and will then send you to collections.

They offer 24/7 service but is NOT A SAFE place to go at night. A guy came in with a dog when I was alone, he wasn't wearing sports clothes, he wasn't training, he just looked at me and started acting very strange, he was caressing some balls and pretending to cry, and there were more details about this person that did not make me feel safe and I called my husband who immediately arrived for me.I reported what happened and no one responded.
In addition, they offer misleading promotions, first I was referred by another person and he never got a discount for referring me, then they tell you to sign up for only 1 dollar but the next month they charge you their annual fee.

Im not sure if anyone runs the front desk anymore— there is never anyone at the front during working hours. The phone rings non stop without any answer because … no one is at the front.
It’s honestly filthy in the gym. Doesn’t matter day or time. It will always look like a band of monkeys tore the place up. There is dust everywhere so if you have any allergies I would suggest you stay away from this location. The summer it is an oven. The winter is an ice box. Dust is year round. It’s sad to see what once was a great gym to go to turn into what looks like a personal storage unit.

I wish I was exaggerating when I say this place is disgusting. You are over paying for machines that are broken, torn up and filthy. The air is extremely thick because of the amount of dirt and dust covering everything. The AC doesn’t work adequately so there are fans on the ground blowing the dust up. Through out the summer we waited months for the only adductor machine to be fixed. The cable trees are still broken and unusable. And now the only other cables to use are snapped.
This place has individual bathrooms which would be great if they were stocked and clean.. but they’re filthy. And constantly have trash or no toilet paper. The only time they are cleaned is once a week by a cleaning crew but the next day they’re filthy. I know Texas is hot and the bugs come inside but there are roaches or crickets in the stalls or on the turf. If you’re thinking about becoming a member definitely utilize the free trial to just get an idea of what you’re signing up for. I am very unhappy because even with the unsanitary workout environment I still have to go through a horrible process to cancel or pay a cancellation fee even though the gym is filthy and not managed. The water fountain is still broken and gives hot water that is murky. The list can go on but I will refrain. The positive reviews you see are nothing more than family or friends that are not members. The members that are here are dealing with this nonsense daily. If you have allergies— stay away. You will leave congested. The worst part is they have staff that don’t move from the front to clean anything. It’s just sad. Hopefully it changes soon so those of us that are here can enjoy the facility.

I am surprised by the two reviews that portrayed such negative experiences. This is a secondary membership for me for when my primary gym is too busy or if I am closer to Fitness Now. I truly enjoy this gym and have always had wonderful experiences with the facilities and the staff. I only wish they were open 24 hours. However, I realize that the overhead probably is not justify the membership. So I do not hold that against them.

I love this gym and would provide better than a 2 star review if only they would maintain their equipment or at least fix it after being broken, in a reasonable amount of time. For example: the filtered water machine has been broken for at least 6 months. One cable machine has been broken for about 3-4 months and the lay down tanning bed hasn't worked in probably 3 months. The bathrooms are in poor shape, should be cleaned more than once per week, some drain covers are unattached and the water in the shower only works well in one. Heck, a paper towel machine has been broken for over a year. I'm not sure what this owner is thinking but I hope he fixes some things soon. Other than that, great environment, friendly staff and good vibes. I hope the owner starts taking better care of the place and invests, or drops the prices to planet fitness prices.

This gym is absolutely amazing and I'm so thankful for the location that we don't have to cross the Interstate for a real gym. I have to brag on Libby. Today I worked out and when I walked in the gym, it was SO CLEAN it stopped me in my tracks to look at it! Had an old review that was 5 stars but I've gotta bring it down a few. The gym just isn't the same since the GM Felix left a few years ago. Don't get me wrong, any employee I've interacted with has been courteous, but it takes more than that to operate a good gym.

It used to be kept way more pristine in general. I remember seeing Felix clean all the time. Its very obvious the same care is not taken now.

Machines seem to be repaired slower. In fact, one side of the most popular pulley in the gym has been down for around 2 months now....its just a simple broken cable....
Also, even stuff that works is showing its age, so preventative maintenance is probably not being done.
The A/C was broke and maybe fixed...I'm not sure, but whether its hot or cold outside, I sweat like crazy after barely starting my workout. It used to be very comfortable in both summer/winter.

I still enjoy the small vibe feel and the fact that they have a safety squat bar and football bar. Those have saved my joints.

The small crowd thats there early in the morning is very courteous.

However, I feel the effort has been lacking for a while now. You can't survive winning the best local gym years ago and brag about being a mom and pop gym if you don't put in the work to keep it that way.

Even though I'm weary of the crowds, I will be considering Crunch fitness across the highway in the future if fitness now doesn't improve.

My husband and I first joined at the end of August as month-to-month members. I signed up for gym + tan and he had only the gym membership.
A couple of weeks after joining, we decided to change our plan from month-to-month to a year membership. My husband spoke to the lady at the front desk and she told him she would get it taken care of for him and that was all. At this point, I also asked to downgrade from gym + tan to just a gym membership. After speaking to the lady at the desk over the phone, she told me it was cancelled.
However, when our monthly bill came, we were charged for gym + tan as well as the month-to-month rate so I called and asked what was going on. The lady on the phone told me 1) it would take a billing cycle for my tanning to drop off and 2) there was no way for us to change our plan from month-to-month without calling the billing company, which is not what we were told when we spoke to them the first time.
We waited a month and saw on our billing statement that I STILL had gym + tan on my membership and I was also charged when I was supposed to get a free month for referring my husband. So I called to get it taken care of before the next billing cycle.
The lady on the phone was apologetic and said she would refund my month and call the billing company immediately and get it taken care of. She assured me it would not effect my membership at all.
That night (after business hours), I go to the gym and my access is denied because I have no membership. The following morning, my husband and I both go to the gym and HIS access is denied because he has no membership. I called and the lady on the phone seemed surprised the billing company did it.
At this point, we told them to just cancel our membership. The service sucks and the lady at the front doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing.
Not to mention they don’t answer the phone most times, aren’t there at the beginning of business hours, and don’t clean or manage the place well at all.

The showers have the same hair on the walls and sand on the floor every day for 2 weeks. Half the treadmills don’t work, dust is caked on all the equipment. This place needs some help!

Gym equipment is good and being 24 hours is convenient but it’s a hassle to cancel this membership. You have to send a CERTIFIED letter to a P.O. Box and if you accidentally forget to do certified but they still receive it they won’t contact you to correct it. You even have to wait 30 days after they receive it to cancel your service so they can get another payment out of you. Pretty good gym, we are temporarily using this gym. It’s a little pricey and seems like they’ve sort of inherited a lot of older/used equipment, so I wouldn’t classify it as “nice”. But it gets the job done. The staff are nice, always say hello with a smile, and thoroughly explained pricing and the cancellation fees (we pre paid for 3 months to avoid the cancellation fee and letter). Sammy is the biggest perk, he’s such a sweetheart and I enjoy seeing him when he’s there.

If I could give zero Stars I would this has been the worst experience do not get a gym membership here. I have been a member for almost two years trying to get into this place has been a nightmare I cannot get any help and no one is ever there. All the treadmills have problems and most of the time there no hand soap. I canceled my membership in July and they said there would be a $99 cancellation fee (ok that’s fine), also said I’d need to send a certified letter to cancel my membership (again, fine and did it THAT day), yet they continued to draft from my account for SIX months! I called for my $200 refund and sadly was refunded $62. The manager is extremely unprofessional and walks around in house slippers all day. I called and asked WHY my account was continued to be drafted after I mailed the certified letter and was hung up on. Don’t waste your time at this place!

Dropped my rating, due to waking up early on a Saturday, driving 20 minutes only for the door not to work and unlock. It’s very inconvenient and yes I write reviews on all social media. I don’t see why it’s so hard to have it fixed?
There’s also a number to call if it doesn’t work, surprise surprise, no answer..
I’ve been a member for about 2-3 years now, I love that they are open 24 hours and it’s never crowded.
But- there has been ALOT of issues with the door key lock, always issues with the bathrooms not being stocked.
I mean it’s a small gym, every time I go in during staffed hours, they’re up front talking to each other.
How about have your employees check the restrooms before they leave for the day?

Let's talk about Fitness now.

I joined this gym because it was close to my house. It's pretty small and leave a lot to be desired. No sauna, no pool, no room really. It's tiny and crowded. It's typically pretty dirty too. Possibly one of the dirtiest gyms I've ever been too.. Constantly out of paper towels to clean equipment and trash overflowing from the bins. There's almost always a girl sitting up front, playing on Facebook or TikTok, and just letting the entire place go to waste.

But honestly..... It's a gym. That's not the end of the world. It's not ideal, but it works. At least it did, until I tried to cancel.

When you sign up, they'll sign you up right in the gym. No problems. Quick and easy!

Then you go to cancel. Oh boy! They can't cancel for you in the gym. You have to mail a certified letter to their 3rd party billing company.

Mail a certified letter? What year is this?! I mailed 2 letters that apparently weren't certified. They discarded both of them. I called multiple times, as I had moved out of the state, begging them to cancel. When the refused to do so, I reached out to my credit card company and tried to stop the payment, which the contested and refused to do.

So, I've been paying 8 months for a gym that's over a thousand miles away from me. After multiple calls and attempts to stop this all, I called today asking to be refunded, which of course, they refused to do.

Instead, the guy on the phone offered to cancel it right then and there for me. (WHAT?!!) IF THIS WAS POSSIBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE, WHY DIDN'T YOU DO IT THE FIRST 8 TIMES I ASKED YOU TO CANCEL IT!

My opinion is that this gym is dirty, unprofessional, and engages in predatory practices to intentionally make it challenging to cancel. I would never go to this gym again. Absolutely terrible.

I want to get into shape. I got a tanning membership here off Groupon so I could check it out. The lady at the counter, though she was nice, was not interested in the Groupon I had paid for. Instead signs me up for a membership that I'm now m forced to pay monthly of 45 dollars for a year. I have not been back bc I felt completely out of place. This place is more for those in shape already rather than getting into shape. I was not offered a tour nor any details or information. If I had to use the restroom, I wouldn't know where to start looking!

Called Fitness now recently adjust my account and Felix was so helpful! I called stressed out and confused and Felix helped me out a lot with my account. It’s so refreshing to get service like I did especially nowadays with all the chaos.

I moved to Texas from Fort Bragg, NC and I was looking for a gym that has equipment to continue to work towards the new ACFT. They have everything I need to be successful in my fitness journey. They have foam rollers to pull up bands … the equipment is all there. The staff is incredibly friendly and will always remember your name. They generally care about you and your well-being. If you ever needed assistance with fitness questions or substitutions, they will help you with no problem. The gym is always so clean and the bathrooms are gorgeous. The bathrooms are singles with showers so the privacy is there. As a female, I feel safe going and I know that the other gym goers are respectful. A plus is the 24hr timeline so I can go whenever. The environment all together is amazing and I plan to continue going to this gym. Nothing but great things!

Top tier gym, staff is extremely helpful and beyond your run of the mill corporate trainee. This has been one of the biggest reasons for my continued membership, on top of the fact that I get a full gym with nothing lacking and private tanning beds too. All in all the friendly comfortable environment is worth it’s weight in gold for beginners and veterans alike. A melting pot of a gym that doesn’t feel forced. I've been a member of this gym for about 2-3 years now and the workers are so welcoming and sweet! The gym equipment is well kept, the hours are great, and the bathrooms and gym overall are clean. I’ve been to several places and I can tell that this is not where you want to workout. Staff didn’t provide basic and super simple information and I’m glad I have asked. I was about to sign up, when I was told about the “the billing cycle” month policy, which means, when you cancel, they charge you one more month. I was not told that and I don’t think that is honest to hide that info from someone trying to sign up.

First time I visited the place all they told was 39.99, month to month, no contracts. I have even asked about the registration fee and stuff like that. They answered that it was 39.99 a month and that was it. It’s not. They do have a fee to enroll you that I wasn’t aware of. I’m glad I didn’t sign up.

Joined this gym with a few work buddies in December 2020.
Must’ve referred 5 to this place already.
Privately owned so that’s cool.
Has all the machines and weights to get in shape and grow. All the good cardio bikes, elliptical and mountain steppers.
I mean, you can tell that it’s a quality gym by all the fit and ripped people in here.
It’s 24hrs / 7days a week.

If you’re looking for a gym in NRH then I would strongly advise checking this one out. It has everything you need in a gym and more. There’s a turf area for people that like to do functional workouts, a lot of different machines, free weights, and many different options for cardio. So regardless of what your goal is, this place is for you. Whether it be building athleticism, gaining muscle, losing fat, or all of the above.. this place has all of the equipment you could ever need. But even past that, this place is nothing like a commercial gym that you just go scan your membership card or punch your phone number and finger scan into. The staff is extremely personable from the owner to the gym to the employees even to the cleaning staff. Everyone is extremely nice and easy going. They all take time to meet and greet each member that walks through the door. Taking time to get to know everyone that comes in which gives you a sense of belonging which to me would be extremely helpful for people who may be intimidated of entering a gym. All in all, this gym is by far the best I’ve been to and I would highly recommend it for anyone

It's a nice well kept gym with a lot of activities and equipment to use... it seems like any kind of gym goer can find their kind of equipment needed for their routine. With anything it's going to have its pros and cons. So in my opinion after going for a few months is...
Pros: You can go anytime with the swipe of your card, tanning beds are superb!
Con: Can tan during staff hours only
Pros: Such amazing amazing friendly staff, girls are so sweet
Cons: Non staffed hours leaves the un-mannered gym goers messes until staff comes in and catches it

Walked in this place and met Felix. He was very professional and courteous. Explained the membership fees and gave me a tour of the gym. I told him I would think about it and he offered a 3 day pass to the gym. I stayed for a quick workout and ended up getting a membership for me and the wife. Very nice and clean place for a fair price. I love the 24/7 access to the gym. Thanks Felix!
