Best gym in Castroville and on the west side of San Antonio. Facility has all the equipment you need to accomplish any workout you want. The staff is great and very friendly. They even have in house massage therapy. Angie does a great job and will leave you feeling amazing after a massage!

There’s a great selection of machines and free weights and it only gets crowded at certain times so you can plan to get when it’s less crowded. The classes are great and FREE with your membership. Fitwell is by far the best gym I’ve been apart of. Their staff are all great and friendly! What’s not to like? They’ve got a variety of machines to choose from, the gym is clean, and they have a sauna which is a nice touch. And the best part of this gym is that they offer childcare which is essential for me! Enjoy the small hometown feel of this gym, it’s always professional and nice and clean. I commend the fact that when a machine goes down, it’s never down for long, things get addressed and fixed quickly. The staff listens to the customers suggestions and we can see things always improving. Extremely small and very overpriced for what's offered. It's cheaper to drive to la fitness and get a membership for me and my spouse than it is for both of us at fitwell. Seriously tho I paid 34.95 a month for me and my spouse and la fitness and it's more for just me and fitwell

I have been lifting at this gym location since before it was Fitwell and for 27 years total. The whole operation in general along with its staff are a class act when it comes to being in touch with what their members need to have a satisfying work out. They make everything available for anyone to reach their fitness goals and feel comfortable and safe while at it. If you don't find something that suits your fitness goals at Fitwell then you ain't serious about your fitness goals. Real talk.

Hands down, the best gym I’ve ever been a member of. I almost don’t want to post a review because I love not having to wait for equipment, but they truly deserve a great review here. Matthew at the front desk is a delight and extremely helpful. The equipment is clean, bountiful, and well maintained. It smells nice, has all of the amenities you could want, plus more, and the music is also good. I plan on being a member here as long as they stay open.

I just bought a house a little outside Castroville & have been looking for a gym that offers group classes & doesn’t break the bank. After doing the 7 day trial, I signed up. I love this place so far, they have a great variety of gym equipment and group classes. Everything is clean and everyone I’ve met has been super friendly. I do wish they offered more class times in the afternoon, but this is a great gym nonetheless!

Update 8/15/2023:
Canceled and will be returning to my old gym. I've only been a member for 3 months and 2 trainers have quit. The whole month of August they haven't had a trainer yet advertise morning classes... A group of us would show up and make up our own workouts to do together... There's no consistency which is why I've updated my review

Excellent Gym. I'm also a member at Golds and have stopped going to Golds. Fitwell is friendly and very clean. They clean the equipment, floors, locker rooms etc. multiple times a day. Clientele all ages and a great gender split. About 50/50. Also diverse in other ways. A really nice vibe. Glad I joined. Nothing against Golds, I just like FitWell better.

I wanted to get healthy, and I am so glad I found this gym. From the group work outs, to the high quality workout equipment, the facility exceeded every expectation I had when trying out the free 7 day trial. The staff is friendly, the gym is clean and sanitized, and the showers are nice and clean. I joined the gym officially even before my trial was over. The convenience of hours and location has allowed me to start working out again. It's been life changing, and I am grateful.

The gym is very clean and the staff has been consistently friendly during my single day weekend visits. The gym is locally owned so it's is a bit more of a personal experience since its in a small town. Regarding equipment they have the full spectrum of standard plate loaded equipment for circuit training(Life Fitness), even some novelty machines. Also plenty of treadmills and eliptical. Spin bikes too if thats your thing. Their secret though is on the side. A room full of Hammer Strength professional grade equipment that is geared toward higher performance strength training. Would i recommend this gym to friends or strangers? Yes, they have everything you need to get fit or even full blown jacked. Forgot to mention they have multiple discipline, group excercise classes offerred if you're into that too.
