My journey began with lung cancer and having part of my left lung removed. I was in horrible pain from nerve damage, couldn’t work out and 14 months after my surgery and 30 lbs heavier, I decided I needed to take control of my life. I found Freedom Body Fitness by googling trainers. I was amazed to find all 5 star reviews for Chris and I knew I would be successful if I was in a good program. He deserves all of those stars too! I started with Chris and FBF in June of this year, I am down 31 lbs. My body composition is completely different now. Clothes fit better than they ever have. I used to go to Orange Theory Fitness, and as great as that program is, it is just not the same as FBF. The targeted work outs, small groups and the mind, body, soul inspirations are so great with Chris. I highly recommend FBF to anyone who needs to jump start their exercise program.

After experiencing significant weight loss, I needed to rebuild my atrophied muscles in a safe and effective way. Chris designed weekly workouts tailored to my age and individual needs, and I now attend three 30-minute sessions each week.

I'm happily sharing this review with a HUGE sense of gratitude to Chris and Freedom Body Fitness. Nine weeks ago, I finally signed up (and of course regret that I didn't sooner.) Starting off, my muscles were weak, I've got osteoarthritis badly in one hip and torn rotator cuff in one shoulder. My goals were and remain to build overall strength, flexibility, balance, and heart/bone health (and I want to feel confident enough to wear shorts again). I want to discard bad habits (complacency) and create good habits. Nine weeks in, I can now get up and down off of the floor easier. I can do pushups on the floor (!) I can hold a wall sit. I can lift heavier dumbbells and do more reps. I love his online stretching videos - they make me feel so good. I have more ENERGY. And the list goes on. I've graduated to FBF level 2 workouts. Chris also helped set my nutritional macro goals and I now focus on the amounts and types of food I eat and I've healthily lost 1 pound per week (which might not sound like much but I didn't have a large amount to lose from the start). I will say that the change in what I eat has significantly improved my energy. I don't say this lightly... I am so proud of myself for all that I've done in the last two months because I haven't done these things in years and was definitely in a rut (a very long one). With Chris' program and encouragement, I've proven to myself that I CAN do it. And I can't wait to see where I'll be at the end of another 2 months. I'd been following/watching Chris for a long time. My hesitation was fear due to the hip and shoulder issues plus the mindset that I didn't have the time. But I have found the time, and Chris remains cognizant of my physical limitations and keeps those in check by asking how I am feeling BEFORE and DURING every session. My fears are now gone and that just feels like a miracle to me. The program had me address my big WHY's, actually thinking about and writing down goals, and how to tap into strength for overcoming weaker days that I too often have (especially during the winter months.) Keeping an awareness of these things is bringing me strength. The resistance training, good nutrition, and keeping a certain mindset aren't ironclad for me yet but I'm here to say that I see progress from when I started and it feels very good, and more so as each week passes. I'm showing up for myself (finally) and trainer Chris keeps me focused (and accountable, a must have for me, just ask him!). The conditioning I've received have been the perfect starting point for getting me on track and I'm pumped. I hope that anyone reading this review will think hard about how you're feeling right now and if it's time to make improvements in your health, and how that improved health will feel to you. We do have to put in the daily effort and sometimes that's a challenge but it's heaps easier for me now. And Chris leads us through it in a smart (he's soooo smart), healthy and effective way. And for the long haul. No one regrets being healthier and feeling better. Chris is top notch good at what he does, and I'm SO grateful to him and SO happy about how I'm feeling and I'm only halfway through the program :)

I’ve been 15 weeks now with Freedom Body Fitness. I needed to make some positive lifestyle change and I was able to do that with the help of Chris. If I’m to be a caregiver, then I need to be a better version of myself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I was very hesitant at first with my “bum” shoulder, stiff knees and silver status, but Chris modified exercises for me so that I could become stronger.
In addition to gaining strength and confidence I’ve lost weight, learned about goal setting, learned macros and a host of other important factors(and sayings) that will remain with me and contribute to a more healthy lifestyle.

When I met with Chris, it became obvious that Freedom Body Fitness was more than just a place where I would receive personal training. We immediately jumped in and discussed goals. I am not a goal-setter and found this part to be challenging. Chris made me thing beyond the mains goals to “lose weight” and “decrease my cholesterol.” Chris truly challenged how I thought about myself. Instead of just one big goal, he had me truly think of all the small goals I wanted to hit on the way. This is the first difference from my typical gym experience.
After defining goals, we started talking about nutrition. Logging meals and counting calories and macros is something I am familiar with, so that is the route Chris advised me to take. But a really nice thing about Freedom Body Fitness’ approach is that there were several options. I work out with several women now and none of us follow the same eating plan. It is not a “one size fits all approach” as I had had previously with the dietician at my gym. Chris met me where I was at, considered my goals, and gave me the guidelines I needed to follow. I explained that I cooked and did meal prep (and am a super picky eater) so he gave me what I needed: guidelines.
The LAST part of our discussion was exercise. I went to Freedom Body Fitness thinking I was just hiring a trainer to help me push myself in workouts, but the approach Chris designed is different. The exercise compliments all the other pieces, but it’s not the only focus. Again, this was a much different approach that my previous experience at the gym. The workouts are a perfect combination of cardio/fitness and strength training/stability. He has a lot of choices that fit with my schedule. At first, I thought there was no way that I’d get results from a half hour workout, but I was wrong. The stations and workouts push me harder than any workouts I did in the past with a trainer.
Chris fits all of the goals, nutrition, and cardio (in and out of his studio) together through easy-to-use apps. It’s simple to schedule sessions, and to synch your health and fitness apps with his platform. He ALSO schedules monthly check-ins with you to talk through your progress and your goals. In these sessions he helps to adjust your plan based on where you are and what your needs are. On top of that, he also sends weekly videos where he reviews your numbers and goals and truly gives you encouragement and suggestions as he coaches you to your “next level.”
If you choose Freedom Body Fitness, you are choosing a holistic approach to your health. It’s unconventional when you consider how most traditional gyms do business (and how they charge for different services; the prices add up quickly). But when allowing one person to coach you and design your plan, the service is SO much better. You pay one price and you get so much in return. There is a personal approach that you won’t get anywhere else.
NOTE: Results after 4 months: I’m down 18 lbs, 12.5 inches, and my cholesterol went from 211 to 161.

I can state, without hesitation that investing in Freedom Body Fitness for personal training, nutrition, and weight-loss is one of the best decisions I've made. In mid 2023, I realized that the weight that I'd gained upon retirement from the Military (May 2022), wasn't going to disappear on its own. After months of feeling depressed and disgusted at the weight gain, I began my search for a fitness trainer and stumbled upon Freedom Body Fitness on Facebook. After, thoroughly reviewing Chris' website and listening to seemingly knowledge regarding fitness and nutrition, I immediately realized that he possessed a passion for not only wanting to assist others with their Fitness goals, but also equipping them with with the necessary tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle upon completion of the program. Fast-forward to March 2024, I'm excited to share that I've achieved my 1st weight goal and on the road to achieving my second goal of 145lbs. Additionally, the knowledge that I've gained from Chris regarding nutrition has provided me a new-found level of confidence to maintain and sustain a healthy weight for my 5"3 body frame. Chris goes above and beyond to share insight and helpful tools to assist his clients in achieving their desired end state. Although the workouts can be a bit of a challenge initially, they are conducted in a relaxing and fun environment. Chris is right there providing a hands-on approach, guidance, and encouraging words throughout every session. From my standpoint, it means a great deal that Chris takes time to genuinely listen to any issues, concerns and/or questions, subsequently assisting individuals to better understand key pointers to overall improvement, whether it concerns nutrition or simply correct form while exercising. This is particularly important as it pertains to my form during workouts and assisting me with understanding particular areas of my body where I desired to become toned and stronger. Another area of importance that distinguishes Chris, particularly as it pertains to weight-loss, is his empathy in understanding his clients strengths and weaknesses. Such trait, empowers clients to identify their full capability, knowing that Chris' genuine concern stems from desiring ultimate and achievable results. Sometimes such guidance involves the ugly truth, and may not necessarily entails what the client wants to hear ir face at that moment. For example, giving up unhealthy nutritional habits (portion-control; proper nutrients; hydration, rest/sleep).
The best advice that I personally can offer to individuals considering training with Chris (Freedom Body Fitness) is to simply listen to his advice and abide by the guidance provided. He possesses a wealth of knowledge and genuinely desires each client to depart with a success story. I am definitely pleased and excited about my fitness transformation that I embarked upon 4 months ago, with one week remaining. Chris's program is excellent and just what I was looking for. Before beginning you meet a trainer and go over your goals identifying measurable goals and some of your intrinsic motivation.

Once you begin the workouts are fun and challenging, offering you 2 stages to choose from based on your ability. Chris has been excellent with feedback as well. All my questions are answered even when not in class. Every week and every month there is a chance for 2 way feedback. This has been the key to success to make sure things like your diet matches your workout effort. After my first month, I stalled at weight loss, but was gaining some muscle. In this consult we discussed some tweaks I can try to my diet and that has brought back the weight loss.

I travel a fair amount, every time I'm on the road, my trainer assisted with building workout plans I could use on the road and checking in to see what other challenges I was having with workouts and diet.

This program is fantastic, a great value, worth my time and effort. I am so glad I chose this path toward better health and so glad I chose Freedom Body Fitness as the program to get me there.

I have been working with Chris for about 7 weeks now and honestly when I first agreed to start the program I was still skeptical that I would have great success. My skepticism had nothing to do with Chris but more so with my past experiences with trying to loose weight and get in shape.
I had tried every fad diet and even tried weight loss medication and the most I ever lost was 10 lbs despite the hard work and feeling like I was starving myself. Not only have I had success with Chris in this short amount of time and I have strength and confidence in myself that I had long lost. I have lost 17 lbs to date and I am far from stopping. He has been a great coach and very supportive and when I hit a road block and felt myself wanting to turn to my old ways I reached out to Chris and we had an emergency meeting and he helped me see and remember that all the work I had done thus far was paying off and to trust the process.

I was a little apprehensive about working with a male Personal Coach.  After meeting with Chris, the Owner of Freedom Body Fitness, I was completely comfortable with his non-intidimidating approach.  Before beginning the sessions we met to discuss and define my personal goals.  He listened to me, understood my conerns and answered all my questions.

Chris assessed where I was before I started the program and then tailored the training to meet my specific needs.  He is constantly monitoring my progression and weaknesses and adjusting the program accordingly so I am able to meet my goals and prevent injury.

I recently completed a 12-week program with Freedom Body Fitness. My goal was to prepare for a Mt Kilimanjaro hike. Chris listened and provided me with a diet and workout plan that would change my life. I increased my cardio with his workouts of high tempo and really working me to exhaustion but I loved every minute of his workouts as the results speaks for itself.
