I’ve been with Gold’s Gym since they first opened in 2022, and I’ve loved it here. The place is always clean, the equipment works great, and an overall great atmosphere.

While that’s all great, my favorite part of the gym is Vincent, the assistant GM, and the rest of the staff. If there’s ever an issue, Vincent makes it a priority to make things right. I highly recommend Golds Gym in Flowermound.

Nice equipment and initial impression was that it’s a very clean environment but why the darkness inside? It appears so dark inside that it takes away from the positivity of a workout. I can understand if it’s an infrared or hot yoga place but for a gym to be so dark inside was really depressing.

Great gym. Well-equipped and the equipment is top tier. Ample squat racks but it would be nice if they all had mirrors. My only complaints are minor — music is much too loud (maybe I’m old) and sometimes the trainers hog 3+ machines at a time for one client so that can be frustrating.

Had a terrible experience at Gold’s Gym. The larger male manager with a black beard was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He made me feel unwelcome just for asking a question. Definitely not getting a membership here anymore.

Do not sign up with this gym unless you plan on going until you die. I was pregnant and going often but after giving birth I needed a break to recover. We requested a pause on my membership to which was "acknowledged." Gold's continued to charge me full price. We then went to cancel which was also "acknowledged" and Gold's continued to charge full price.

I then blocked their charges as we requested a total of 3 times to pause and cancel. They started charging me random amounts to get them to go through.

Here's where things get even more shady! They changed their name so they could get the charges to go through! They are being reported as this is not good practice. I had planned on returning but absolutely not and will not recommend anyone sign up.

Love this location! 🙌🏽 My onlyyyyyyy wish is that it had a sauna. I go during the day so I can’t speak to peak hours, but it’s never overly packed when I go. Equipment is always clean, music is always on point, to the point where if my headphones died, I’d still be able to finish my workout. And I LOVEEE the lighting! I despise a gym with fluorescent lights, so the dark moody setting is so perfect. Staff is always friendly as well, best option I’ve found in flower mound area so far!

UPDATE: A week after reaching out to the GM, who commented on my original review, I have not heard back. Avoid this place like the plague

Employees lost my cancellation form so I continued to received charges even after I was assured I had cancelled my membership. I haven't paid what they claim I owe them so they sent me to a collections company. I ended up filing a complaint with the FTC for failing to properly cancel memberships and charging customers without consent. Avoid this gym unless you want to sign a lifelong contract. I would give negative stars if possible.

Let me start off saying that I have hated Gyms for my entire life. So much so that when I started going again I went somewhere else and had my wife cancel her membership here so we could go there. It was super easy to cancel her membership and no hassle.

Well I hated that gym and decided to give this Gold’s Gym a try since my wife loved it here. Who knew the gym could be fun? I look forward to every workout!

The staff is the friendliest I’ve ever met, the equipment is great, the facilities are clean, and the community is solid. A very diverse community of all shapes and sizes (and attitudes lol), but I’ve had people offer help if I need it for machines or even offer l a little encouragement.

Special shoutout to Laura at the front desk and Jerry the GM, these two are so great and they’ve been nothing short of amazing and helpful!

And as a special bonus, Jerry and I both come from Husker nation, so I can’t go wrong with a fellow Cornhusker 😆

No hot water, Golds is run by people with issues as they don't repair water temp control situations as health departments require. Leaving you with forcing a cold shower regardless of your needs. Multiple locations seem to use this method.

RACISM+DISCRIMINATION+FRAUD
After shopping around for fitness gym, honestly thought "this was it". Signed up, paid for all dues, handshakes, done. However, We weren't considered gym members 100%. We never received our membership barcode.

We've driven around your competitors.. LA, Planet, Lifetime, 24HR, Connect, etc. etc. etc. and guess what they all offer (even to trial members)? Identification barcode. To sign in. To use the facility.

We were your GoldsGym members. Paid members. Does it make sense to you all that... for 7 days we were only allowed access 3 days, for some 2 days, because (other than your good staff Jesse) other staff either didn't recognize our faces, couldn't look us up by phone number, denied entry because we didn't have a barcode?

Oh you all are having technical issues?? to give new members "BARCODES"??? left in the dark for a week? don't even fulfill the promise to give a morning callback like you said? emails you promised? or were you all looking forward for my family to just - forget it, use other facility, and pay you all monthly FREE money?

Do you all remember the day we called the law enforcement? You know why?
1) For the tens of times inquiring when we'll be granted access 100% with a membership barcode, your manager, rather than starting off with an apology, bluntly asked if we understood English. That ticked us off big time. Seriously? You're going to bring in race into this?
2) Incase you all don't remember, the afternoon when we signed up, there was a woman in front of us who also signed up membership + 2 guys also signing up behind us. We ran into them during workout. When inquired about access codes? They all had them. Perfectly working fine. From day 1. Sure~~ your technology is having problems, for non-whites, indefinitely.
3) Lastly, one of our family members who had free membership through medicare, received a bill from GoldsGym. All your smooth talks and fake smiles trying to have people sign up with you all, making false promises and guarantees... you thought targetting elders was EASY MONEY? Thinking they won't notice what they're getting billed for and just automatically pull out their credit cards?

Hillarious how you all tried to talk behind our backs, really loud enough for anyone to hear, how you don't want to be mistreated? Why do you all bring in race & discrimination on the table then? Plus making threats that if we were to complain ONE-MORE-TIME, you'll have us kicked out from your gym? Isn't it normal for anyone to complain - when they've paid for the service and not granted access???

We're going legal. You asked for the trouble.
We've made an official complaint to your HQ with the police report. Good luck making future business.

Overall, the gym is OK. I mainly go here Because it’s a convenient location for me. However my biggest complaint is the atmosphere. I don’t appreciate seeing grown men flexing on the gym floor with nothing but their boxers on and no shirt especially in the same Vicinity as underage girls. Really wish management would enforce their dress code but almost seems like it’s none Existent at this location. But other than that the gym is alright. Has good quality equipment, decent floor space, and good lighting. Just wish there was a sauna.

The gym is pretty OK with nice equipment but customer service is just terrible, especially if you want to cancel your membership. They will find a way to get more money from you.
I did communicate my intention to not renew my contract using their Member Support page in their portal but they simply lost it and said they never received it. When you send a message there, you don't receive a copy of a protocol... so don't use it... now they want to charge me for one more month of membership fee.... unbelievable...
So, don't use the message support and keep a copy of all communication to exchange with them for your safety.

I love Gold’s gym but this gym is probably the worst location that I ever visited. I go to the gym around 5:30pm and every time I go there, it’s so hot. It’s well over 100 degrees outside but they just won’t turn on AC high enough to feel some air circulating in the gym. I would only recommend if you enjoy sauna work out type environment.

I recently encountered a distressing situation involving a persistent stalker. On the same day that I paid for my second month's membership, I promptly reported this issue to the assistant manager. However, to my disappointment, he simply assured me that the matter would be addressed. Feeling unsafe, I requested to cancel my membership, and Vincent Rose assured me that he would take care of it over the phone AND CONFIRMED NO FURTHER ACTION WAS NEEDED ON MY END. To my dismay, I have now been charged for a third month, and the manager insists that I should have emailed my cancellation request, (yet Vincent did not mention that step when I spoke ti him) with no possibility of a refund. This situation feels incredibly unfair, and I am deeply disappointed with the way this gym conducts its business.

WOW, I really LOVE this gym!!! I visited on Monday morning for the first time and was immediately impressed by the warm welcome from the staff. They greeted me with smiles and were very accommodating to my needs. I absolutely love all of the aesthetics and the efficient, variety of equipment. It’s a spacious gym, yet I didn’t feel overwhelmed. It’s immaculately clean and the membership fees are quite reasonable. I’m looking forward to making this my new gym!!

Good gym, very clean and well maintained, weights are always in correct place and I never seen any machine being broken. They have lots of squat racks, free weights and machines.
I love the atmosphere of this gym. Other gyms usually have bright hospital lighting, but this gym has nice cozy lights and even houseplants.

Only cons are that they have one single water fountain, no basketball court, and no saunas. This gym is a real fraud! They lie about everything and do not provide correct information, and when I want to cancel the membership, they only say verbally that it is accepted and don't worry, and everything is fine, but later they announce that you should have sent an email or filled out a form and for all the months you did not use the club. And even if you were traveling in another country, they will charge you and threaten to report your credit card so that your credit will be damaged. This gym is a thief and a fraud, friends be careful about it.i was charged around 200 for nothing!! I was abroad!

I recently joined this location with the goals of getting stronger and becoming more flexible. The first day I dropped in for a tour — the lady at the front was so nice, and showed me the entire place. I felt very welcomed, and didn’t feel the least bit judged or looked down upon as a plus size person.

The next day I took advantage of their “free trial day” and was really impressed with how clean and organized everything was. The following day after that I officially joined and haven’t missed a weekday since!

It is a generous sized gym with separate areas for arms / legs machines, treadmills / ellipticals / stationary bikes / etc, free weights, weight lifting, core machines / stretching area. There is also as a separate “quiet” room with doors, hardwood floors and mirrors where they host classes (this room also has yoga mats, smaller weights, and stepping blocks).

The ladies locker room is large and clean, with private toilet stalls, several showers, lockers, large mirrors, and a few electrical outlets by the sinks.

I’ve been very happy that so far I have had no uncomfortable encounters with anyone, and at the time I go it isn’t so crazy busy that I rarely have to wait for a particular machine.

Originally five stars, but when I cancelled my membership due to the fact I prefer to exercise outdoors, they charged me an extra month since they require a 30-day notice. Obviously they don't need 30 days, just a way to make money. I signed up originally because it was no fees no contract, but requiring an extra 30 days is a contract. Update - Gold's has now hired an attorney, Aldous & Associates, to come after me for the $69 they wanted me to pay for the 30 extra days after I cancelled my membership. Guess you need to have some money set aside for legal fees before you go to this gym, lol!

It’s a decent spot. Very clean and well staffed. My only issue is the equipment is slightly lacking. I used to go to the one in Richardson and it’s amazing, so I was surprised to see this one has no free-bar preacher curl set up, only machines and no flat or curved bar free weights. This Gym is 5 star during the day and 1 star at night. The vibe is completely different. During the day it’s a “normal” gym: pleasant music and members seem to be there to work out and carry on their day. I went to gym on a free pass with hopes to join. But after reading and seeing that the whole teenagers thing is true. I’ll pass. I’m glad I didn’t join online before going. The teenagers are not there to work out, well some are but the majority of them are just acting foolish and camping on equipment which there is not much of either. I don’t see management doing anything about this as long as they get the money in from the parents and keep the business open.

A great place to send your teenager to when you don't want them at home! At least that is what this place is full of, obnoxious high schoolers taking up equipment so they can get an insta pic of their bad form or horsing around in the walk ways.

I don't care if you take videos, I don't care if you camp on a peice of equipment for 30 minutes, I don't care if you grunt when you lift, but I can't stand the sheer lack of consideration some of the kids have for other people in the gym.

This place is not representative of the history of Golds and what it stands for. The gym is nice, clean, good equipment, decent music, and friendly staff. I don't think there is enough free weight equipment and you're always waiting for a rack or bench.

Tier 3 Gold’s Gym, 40$ per month not including tax, German made equipment, Gym franchised to this location early 2022. Music is louder than other gyms which is good as it sets the vibe to be very positive, uplifting and healthy area. Management is very chill, gym gets loud. This is the place to build your legacy and achieve your physique dreams. Lots of young adults here as there is Marcus and Lewisville highschool close by. Regardless phenomenal gym, true judgement free zone unlike discriminatory Flanet Pitness. Come support your local gym.

Might be my favorite gym of all time. Visited once. Clean, good music, great work out atmosphere, awesome equipment, spotless locker rooms. Only down fall was the non interested service representatives. Their conversations and phones seemed really interesting. Not so much the people walking in or out.

This Gold’s Gym’s customer service is amazing because the staff here actually checks who you are. I am a member from San Antonio and only have the membership level to go to one location only and I came here to get my workout from this short trip I am taking in Dallas. I came into the gym and ask for a day pass and the front desk asked for my phone number and check my account and offered to let me in for free because I have been a Gold’s member for years. This makes me feel like they are not here to only make money or sales. They really seem to care about all Gold’s members from any location!

I've been going here since you guys opened, front desk is very friendly, men's bathroom very clean, and the equipment is OK , but they should improve to [ Hammer ] it has much better equipment. Overall it's a very good place to workout 💪.
My only complaint is that the Music is Extremely Loud.

I have trained at a LOT of gyms & this gym sets itself apart to say the least. The atmosphere is phenomenal & the equipment is of the highest tier. This gym leaves nothing to be desired with everything you could ask for at your disposal. And I love the loud music! For the first time ever I’ve been training without headphones. The gym itself is fantastic. State of the art equipment you will not find at most standards gyms, great atmosphere in terms of overall interior space and the music is great. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and well maintained.

We live in the area and were so excited when we first joined. My husband and I are serious about our fitness, and very much appreciate the history and standard of what golds gyms typically offer. It’s usually a great bodybuilding gym filled with people who are serious about fitness with an emphasis on lifting vs. 80% treadmills like your standard LA fitness or even most 24 hour fitnesses. We had such high hopes for this gym.

Unfortunately, the clientele that make up the majority of the members we’ve encountered have made this a facility we no longer wish to be members of. The demographic is predominantly comprised of individuals who work out in packs, camp out on machines for 30-40 minutes while they take instagram videos of themselves with tripods. For the record, I understand the desire to video for form checking and am certainly no fuddy duddy, but it’s completely out of control here.

I’ve been accidentally touched and hit multiple times simply because the boys crowd around the free weight area where they loiter and make it difficult to maneuver around. Taking discomfort aside, it’s honestly a safety hazard. I have seen no efforts to regulate or discourage this behavior.

I have to be careful where I walk as to avoid being videoed in common areas, including the bathroom. There’s no sense of common gym etiquette, personal space or privacy.

This is essentially a hang out spot for high schoolers who want to post instagram videos of themselves. If you’re a busy working individual who can only dedicate about an hour to your fitness after work hours, want to get in and out without waiting on benches or equipment, you may feel similarly.

First few days have gone really well. Staff is very friendly and will answer all your questions regarding membership information. Plenty of space and availability of equipment. Women’s restrooms are usually very clean as well which is something I often see missed in gyms unfortunately. Will update review after some time but so far great first impression.
