I've been a member of Harter Strength and Fitness for years, starting at the North Plano location and now working out with my husband at the West Plano gym — and we absolutely love it! The workouts are consistently challenging and effective, and the community vibe is unbeatable.
We especially enjoy the LIFT classes — the barbell-based strength training is exactly what we were looking for. The instructors, Daniel and Diego, are fantastic. They bring great energy, coach proper form, and always know how to motivate the group. Owner Cody has created something really special here — his passion and leadership show in everything from the programming to the fun challenges that keep things exciting and fresh.

Harter Strength & Conditioning - West Plano has been a game changer for me. I started with personal training and was blown away by the attention to detail and focus on proper form. The coaches are knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly care about your progress. I've also attended their small group classes (LIFT, HIlT, and MetCon), which feel just as personalized. I have been working out for years, and Harter Strength has some of the most effective workouts I have done. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and approachable. Everyone is friendly, and it’s a laid-back vibe—but you will burn some calories! I love this gym.

I had several personal training sessions with Cody and the exercise regimen he set up for me did, and is still doing wonders for my back (diagnosed with a herniated disc between L3 and L4). Staying diligent with it allows me to swing the golf club as hard as I can, play pickleball and just wake up without pain. Forever thankful.

Excellent gym with very knowledgeable trainers and good programming focusing on compound movements. It's easy to stay consistent when you know you just need to show up and work hard, they take care of the rest. I think this gym is great for both beginners and more experienced lifters - if you're new you'll get a lot of patient instruction on how to safely perform all the movements, and if you're more experienced it's a great environment to push yourself harder than you might just working out on your own and learn some new approaches to hit your goals.

I wanted to find strength training classes that weren't either CrossFit or gimmicky. This place fit the bill. The content is great (offer HIIT and lift classes), the class sizes and space are comfortable, and I really appreciate the consistent schedule and transparent pricing. It's a great for someone like me who doesn't like working out alone but isn't seeking the feel/price of a 'lifestyle' gym. It's just straight forward fitness, and I'm very happy with it!

Harter was a major turning point for me. After years of falling out of shape, I needed a structured way to get back into working out, and Harter provided exactly that. His program helped me build muscle, lose weight, and most importantly, avoid injuries. Surprisingly, I ended up lifting more than I ever had before and setting new personal records. He puts a strong emphasis on stretching, proper form, and making sure you are strengthening all the supporting muscles, not just the major ones. I am now in the best shape of my life, having recently completed two marathons and maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle. Stick to the program, give it time, stay consistent, and you will see the results.

This has been the best gym I have every joined. The program is elite training but great for beginners as well. My two sons have been going and there strength has increased dramatically. The coach's are always helping and making sure you lift correctly. Highly recommend.

I've been to this gym in both the Plano and McKinney location and am excited to see that a third one has now opened. The coaches are great and the program is effective with weight loss and strength training. The coaches keep you motivated and you always leave feeling like you had a great workout.
