I love being a member of Hotworx! I like how a 15 min hot cycle or hot thunder workout can feel like I worked out for a long time! The hot stretch sessions are so relaxing and great after a long stressful work day and help me unwind! The manager, Chloe, and all the staff I’ve encountered are super friendly and helpful!

BEWARE of how this location handles billing!

I had a very disappointing experience with HOTWORX, particularly with how the owner and management handle financial matters. I was added to my mom’s account as a secondary member and followed their cancellation procedure when I ended my membership in December. I paid my final bill as agreed and assumed everything was resolved.

However, I later discovered that my card was still on file and being charged without my knowledge or consent—for someone else’s account. They continued billing me for my mom’s membership, totaling nearly $200, and only agreed to refund half of the unauthorized charges. Their justification? That my mom allegedly called and told them to continue using my card—despite me never being notified that my card was still linked, or giving permission for those payments.

When I reached out, customer service told me to email the manager for the remaining refund. I did—multiple times—and was completely ignored. I also called to follow up and never received a call back. There was zero accountability or urgency in resolving the issue.

The way they’ve handled this is not only unprofessional but unethical. Charging someone’s card without their consent is a serious issue, and the lack of response from management just made it worse. I won’t be returning to this location and highly recommend others read the fine print and be cautious before signing up.

Updated Review 8/14/2025:
Since my initial review, the manager reached out to personally apologize for the inconvenience and made things right by refunding me the remainder of my money. They also assured me that there is now new management in place and apologized for the delay in resolving the issue. I appreciate the refund — it should have been processed in the first place — and I’m pleased with the resolution. That said, I still encourage others to be mindful and read contracts carefully before signing and check your bank statements just in case.

I love this location! Great staff, helpful and friendly. Hotworx has been a perfect fit for me. I’ve updated my review because I have read that people are having problems with the staffing hours. Hotwerx is more of a boutique style gym, so it will have less staff than the larger gyms-but the staffed hours are on their website, so you know when someone will be available. Personally, I love that it’s open 24/7. The saunas have made a difference with my skin and recovery after workouts. Highly recommend.

The studio space is nice and the saunas and gym area are kept clean. I would say though that you are more so paying to be in the sauna as the workouts are very repetitive and you could get the same benefits out of a YouTube video. The only reason I rate so poorly is the staff in my experience are not trained well enough on customer service. Even during staffed hours they do not answer the phone. I’ve called so many times in the last two months trying to terminate my membership due to a neck injury. I even went up there and tried and the door was open and not a staff member in sight. Crazy to be working yet not in the building. I finally was able to get ahold of someone and they were incredibly rude about me wanting to cancel my membership even though I had a doctor’s note. Their response emails were so passive aggressive making me come in person to sign a cancellation agreement that they barely go over with you so you have no idea what you’re signing basically. Just a high schooler at the front desk watching Netflix and eating yogurt??? It’s basically impossible to cancel and they hope you don’t come in person to sign the cancellation agreement so you can just continue to bill. I wouldn’t sign up here, I’d either pay a little more and go to lifetime for real instruction and saunas or watch a at home YouTube video. This place is basically a joke

well, I am not a fan of the hours that there is somebody on staff at the location. I understand the method behind the madness. The staff at this location is absolutely phenomenal. They help me win another location that is my parent location could not. This is why I will be continuing to go to this location due to. This place is phenomenal. From clean workout facilities and equipment to inspirational board challenges, this is your ultimate one stop training facility.

Kelsey and Laura are the quintessential embodiment of hotworx. They are always helpful and essentially ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, there holding down the fort. They always go above and beyond to extend advice and even encourage you to train (even when I do not "feel like it").

Melissa (the owner) is extremely hands on and comes up with fun, original ways to promote healthy competition within our workout community (which is always awesome). You can tell she genuinely cares about the well being of each guest.

I’ve been a member of this location since June 2022. Friendly staff, always clean and great communication. The HOTWORX challenges and games are always fun! This gym has become a huge stress reliever for me, I feel so good after a workout.
*FYI* I read some of the other reviews and I believe some ppl are new or maybe they’re not aware that during any holiday, the manager and staff do have days off, just like anyone else who would have days off during the holiday season. So, it’s good to remember to bring your own sweat towel and to clean up after yourself.

I’ve been a member at the Cypress Hotworx since March of 2022. It’s a great concept that allows me to workout around my busy schedule. Their app makes it really easy to see what classes are available. My favorite part is the heat. I have really bad arthritis which makes working out in the winter almost unbearable. But at Hotworx, with the heated saunas, my joints can tolerate it and the recovery time is almost instant. I highly suggest Hotworx Cypress. If you have bad joints or a super busy schedule and need a gym that’s open 24/7.

Rarely do I give one-star reviews, but I really hope this helps clients & owners. It's not what you say but how you say it. I've been there since the beginning, but will no longer be a member of this location. Month-to-month means a renewable term of one month. The term “month-to-month” is normally used in the context of tenancies and it refers to a tenancy in which the tenant pays monthly rent and there is no fixed-term lease.----- I'm sure you will either ignore or respond with a passive aggressive condescending tone but I will remain unbothered.

Management is extremely professional and does a great job keeping the place clean and promoting a healthy and happy exercise environment. I try to come here at least a few times a month with my membership and every time I come, everyone is super friendly and the workout is fantastic. Highly recommend if you're looking for something fun or different to spice up your workout regimen. They teach you exactly how to use all the equipment and saunas and have self-guided workouts. From the moment they opened I knew this was a place I would love being a part of and I do. The staff is so professional and helpful, I felt completely prepared and confident for my first session. After that first session I felt so relaxed and refreshed and accomplished. The stress free feeling of knowing I can go 24/7 whatever time it's convenient for me.
