Absolutely ridiculous. HOTWORX Kingwood makes it nearly impossible to cancel a membership. I’ve tried for months due to illness, spoken to several people and corporate, yet I still get charged. They promised to cancel, then charged me again. When I asked questions before joining, they blew up my phone with calls but now that I want out, no one responds. Shady business practices, slow management, and zero accountability. Save yourself the headache!

It’s fun when you start… but if we are being honest the new workout are all the same and it ends up being super repetitive. It’s also a super big commitment because it’s not expensive, but you need to buy the towel and the mat. Also, hope you don’t want to cancel cause you are stuck paying three more months if you don’t want to pay the immediate fee to quit

My boyfriend and I signed up for the free workout at HOTWORX that we saw advertised on Facebook. It looked like an interesting concept, but we really didn’t know what to think.
The front desk associate, Julianna, greeted us and gave us a tour of the different HOTWORX workout rooms. She explained each one of them to us - how to operate them, the rules/guidelines, her personal preferences and our options. She got us excited to try all of them! Being beginners to HOTWORX workouts, we only got through two of the workout rooms, but still got a full body workout in.
We signed up for the membership, which is actually affordable.
We had a lot of questions for Julianna about memberships, workouts, etc. She answered all of them…if she wasn’t sure about something, she used her resources and got us the answers. It’s so refreshing to have someone that actually cares about their customers and takes pride in their work. She even called us back when we got home to say that she got us a couples discount on our monthly membership fee. Amazing…she didn’t have to do that, so if you’re going to sign up for the first free workout, ask for Julianna- she’s great!

I started when this place opened and an emergency came up and I had to cancel. THEY MAKE you sign a three month cancelation which means they take 3 months of money from you EVEN AFTER YOU CANT GO. STILL MY ACCOUT is being charged after going in signing my cancelation STILL I AM BEING CHARGED. PEOPLE RUN this place is making a killing even after you cancel. They don't answer my calls and always promise to STOP charging me but low and behold I SEE THE CHARGES AGAIN! I have now reported them to better business bureau and my attorney ALL JUST TO STOP THE CHARGES. What will it take?

Love everything about these workouts and the studio. The numerous classes, heat and infrared help me leave feeling calm and relaxed…bonus is my skin looks better than it has in years. Yes, it’s hot! I have really enjoyed the workouts! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The studio is clean and well organized. I love the convenience of HotWorx and the ability to workout on my schedule. Classes are good, and I feel the benefits of the sauna. The ability to open the front door using the security app for my late night workouts is genius, and I really like the fact that many times I am one of only a handful of people using the facility for later sessions. This gives me the added flexibility to add on a short cardio workout following my usual pilates or yoga. Thanks for opening in Kingwood!

Signed up for a 3-month trial. Personally, did not enjoy the workouts & the saunas are very small. Plus to do most of the workouts without equipment you need to buy their mats & towels which are expensive. Normally I would not leave a review, I understand this just wasn't my cup of tea but others maybe do enjoy it. However, we went to cancel our membership today, 3 days before our 3-month period has ended and they informed us that we would need to pay $100 for canceling early. We agreed that we would just come back to cancel on the 1st to avoid the fee. To which the manager then informed us that would still not be possible because even though we only agreed to the 3-month commitment, apparently they need 60 days of notice to cancel?? Absolutely ridiculous, just another gym that is trying to force you to keep a membership you don't want. Unless you feel like being manipulated & used, I wouldn't go here.

I want to start off by saying the staff, gym, and overall fitness experience was exceptional. Clean, great environment, warm and welcoming.
I’m leaving such a poor review because of back to back sour experiences I’ve now had with ownership. The first experience was a “special” they had of being able to buy a yoga mat and gym towel for $50 instead of the normal price of ~$79 total for both. I bought two and signed off on the special price, but a week later ended up getting charged full price on my credit card. I spoke with a staff member of why I got charged full price, she did not know but said she’ll talk to management and have them call me to get fixed. They never called and never got this resolved.
The second issue was trying to cancel my membership. We signed up for minimum “90 days” on contract. We went in on the 90th day to cancel but was told we actually need to give a 60 day notice after the 90 days was fulfilled to cancel, or we can pay $100 for each person to cancel on the account. I told them that’s 150 day commitment then, and not 90 days as promised in the contract. No response. I told them to then just pause my account then for the remaining 60 days so I will stop getting charged. They said no. They lied again. And no response again.
I’m not confrontational, but getting blatantly scammed while ownership hides just doesn’t sit right. I just need to make sure others are aware that this and don’t get scammed from ownership either.
