The entire place looks clean and welcoming. They even provide yoga mats,towels and gear/clothing. I also found out if you forget your mat and towel,you can always rent one for $5.00.

I recently visited this location to check it out before committing to a membership, but the experience was completely unprofessional from the moment I walked in. The owner let me in, but shortly after, an employee named Kaleigh—who I’ve had prior issues with—made a huge scene, loudly stating, “She can’t be here.” I DID NOT know she worked here prior to this incident. Instead of handling the situation discreetly, both the owner and the manager , Kaylee, started questioning me about personal matters related to my past with Kaleigh. This was completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

Despite this uncomfortable experience, the owner instructed me to book my free session online. However, when I later called to add a friend, I was suddenly informed that I was not allowed there at all. What if I had just shown up for my session? Would they have turned me away after I drove all the way there? The way this was handled feels like blatant discrimination. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional and welcoming environment.

I just started and I was not disappointed! I love working out in the sauna, but the best part for me is that the classes are always available throughout the day. I'm able to plan my workout on my terms rather than based on availability, and that has motivated me to keep showing up. There's lots to choose from and you'll definitely receive cross training opportunities. I really like the FX Zone. I was always intimidated to use free weights because I just didn't know what to do. You can easily follow along as there is a video to show you what to do as well as count your reps for you. It's like having your own personal trainer for a fraction of the cost! I wish I signed up sooner.

Mixed feelings about this gym as a whole. The staff is always super friendly. Gym is clean. Members are often loud and yelling on the phone or to each other from the other end of the gym. Members also listen to their own music without headphones (one person did this the other day right outside of my sauna and i couldnt hear my tv which was turned all the way up). I understand it's a gym but it's also yoga. I chose not to go to another gym for a reason. Not really ideal for anyone who is trying to unwind from the everyday stresses in peace. The workouts don't change much and you have to buy all the equipment or rent for $5 each time you go. Over all its not bad. I just have a few issues that I would rather not deal with.

Love this place, but know that if you ever decide to cancel your membership you will be charged $99 and/or you have to wait 60 days, which means they will charge you your monthly fee two more times.

All of the positive reviews are so correct! Amazing employees, super helpful and kind! The community there is safe and friendly. The areas are clean, and the saunas smell amazing. I did a 15 minute workout and it was great! I'd love to come back and do a couple in a row.

I tried to sign up with a government ID issued after the owner stated I just needed a ID and then He asked if I had a government issued ID. I told him it was a government issued ID and he said it needed a address. I let him know my wallet was at home but I keep a photo of it and he told me he wasn’t trying to be difficult bland stated he would need a government issued ID again. At that point I just counted my losses since my military ID was invalid to Hotworx and left

I absolutely loved working out at hotworx, but I had to cancel my membership when I got pregnant. Long story short there was a mixup/mistake with the hotworx employees that resulted in my account being charged unnecessarily multiple times. The manager at this location was helpful and responsive. She relayed the issue to the owner of the location who resolved the matter personally. We got a full refund for the amounts. They really went above and beyond to remedy their mistake.

After having visited 5 different Hotworx in the SA area, I found this one to be the best! (Though the Redland Rd one is a close second!)

I even prefer to drive here rather than my "home" location most days (though it's 15 min farther).

So here's all the good:

* They keep it really clean! Like even the HIIT rooms, like the rowing and cycling, don't smell! (At most locations, it seems they don't often throughly clean the machines, so there is a strong smell going in those saunas).

* For the 'Isometric' saunas, they even have the bumpy orange foam rollers out (many locations only offer the basic smooth black foam roller), which is so nice, to get deeper into the muscles 😄

* They even have invited one of the virtual instructors to visit in-person!! In this community these instructors are a bit like celebrities; you see them on the screen all the time, so there's some star-struck feelings seeing one of them IRL 😁 (photo below)

For some *minor* issues:

* There is Very Little parking, especially during the day; the parking lot is shared with a hair salon and a Starbucks, so I usually go after 8pm in order to guarantee parking.

* Most of the cubbies to store your items are shallow (can't hold a Yoga mat); just a couple are deeper

* The shower doesn't have a mat, like other Hotworx, and it seems the floor needs to be swept of hair a bit more.

* The TP is super thin; again, minor details, but you notice if you come often! 😆

Best part though: the staff is really nice! All the female staff are very helpful, especially the one slightly older lady (who is way more fit than I!)

I had to cancel my membership in August because I had to go out of state to take care of my dying mother. They didn’t charge me for September but resumed charging me for Oct, Nov & Dec. The manager I spoke to was extremely rude and completely unsympathetic to my situation. I have had to cancel my debit card and dispute these charges. They could care less about their customers, they just want your money. I encourage you to take your business elsewhere.

This is byfar the best workout I have ever had. I have a golds membership and this makes me wanna cancel it. Had a 30 minute session that not only made me sweat but also made me sore from every muscle that I had to wake up. Used to spend a couple hours at the gym but this is a big time game changer.

As I approach 65 years of age I’m finding that working out at HOTWORX Schertz nearly every day has vastly improved my health and attitude towards living a more happy life. I absolutely love choosing a different sauna based workout from the 10 available. The HIIT cycle, blast and thunder row are killer workouts. I’m enjoy the virtual instructor led sessions because they know exactly how to inform you just at the right time to maximize your workout! #earntheburn
