I joined HOTWORX Sugar Land in September 2023, and things were acceptable at first. However, after the management changed, everything went downhill quickly.

Despite having a Global membership, the staff at this location eventually refused to let me enter and work out, which was shocking and completely unreasonable. Because of this unacceptable treatment, I left and have not returned since February 2025. Then on December 1, 2025, they suddenly deactivated my account, I do have some problem my self but they absolutely do not have the right to do this, especially when l never come back to their location and paying for a valid membership.

Throughout my experience, I also felt strongly singled out, as if every rule applied only to me. This created an extremely uncomfortable environment, and at times, I felt that the treatment I received carried serious racial bias based on how differently I was treated compared to others.

In addition, the studio is poorly maintained: very few heated sauna rooms, equipment not well taken care of, and the restroom frequently has no toilet paper. For a national fitness brand, this is unacceptable.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Sugar Land location to anyone.

I love this gym and the staff! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and staff who genuinely care about your experience. The general manager, Matt, and his staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a great workout. The facilities and bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The isometric and cardio workouts are fun and effective! I can’t recommend this gym and its staff enough!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. As someone who is extremely socially awkward, I struggle with doing anything involving talking to other people but both times I have visited, Matt and Linsay were incredibly welcoming. The best part about talking with them is I never once felt judged by either.

My first workout was intense but I left feeling so energized. The concept of the place is very interesting! And I seriously love that I can get a good workout in without a crowd of people around me. I couldn’t have signed up faster!

I've been a fitness fanatic for decades and HOTWORX Sugar Land is awesome! I love the concept of working out in a sauna. They have everything you need to meet any fitness goal you may have, and all the infrared benefits are a MAJOR bonus! The staff is so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely care that you succeed in all your fitness/wellness goals. The studio is always extremely clean and never over-crowded. You can come and go anytime and at any studio, making it easy to fit into any busy schedule. I highly recommend this place! Don't miss out!!!

I’ve been a member of Hot Works for almost a year, and I absolutely love it! All the classes, Hot Yoga, Hot Buns, Hot Pilates, and the various circuits—are amazing. Each workout leaves me feeling strong, energized, and refreshed. The infrared heat is a great stress reliever and adds so many benefits to the experience. The staff is always welcoming and supportive, and the cleanliness of the studio is a huge plus. I genuinely enjoy earning the burn every time I walk in!

I love going to the Hotworx in Sugar Land. I started in 2022 and I’m glad I did. The workouts are so awesome and I love a good sweat session. I do my best to others about the place. It’s a clean gym with 24/7 access and it doesn’t get crowded. You have cycling to yoga to pilates or even free dumbbell weights to utilize during your workout. I love it! 💪🏼

Walked in and met the owners, Jason and Toni. It’s nice to meet owners who have pride in their businesses and enjoy meeting their customers/members. I signed up due to the infrared technology. I would previously workout 3 to 4 times a week and would normally be sore, in a good way. After working out for an hour here, I am never sore. The heat and infrared soothe the muscles in a way I’ve never felt. Best workout for me is to do the 15 min rowing class and then the 40 min warrior class.

I’ve been going to this location for about a month now and I LOVE IT.

Not only is it minutes away from my workplace, but the new owners, Jason and Toni, are amazing people. They’re always so welcoming and you can tell they’re passionate about fitness. Additionally, if you’ve got questions, they’re always happy to answer them for you.

If you’ve been hesitant about Hotworx, take a free class with them. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to handle working out in an infrared sauna, but I find myself craving the heat and sweat. I always leave feeling really good and my workouts have only been 15-30 mins long. If you want to add weight training to your routine, they’ve also got free weights to use.

I have been a member of this location since November of 2022. This location is very clean, comfortable, and close to home. I’m not sure if they do this at other locations but, the staff actually wipe down the equipment after the use of other members just to ensure the safety of others. I know I forget to wipe them off sometimes🤷🏾‍♀️ Thank y’all so much for the awesome job y’all do!!I highly recommend this location. 10 out of 10 for me!!

I’ve been to a lot of gyms in my life… but I think I’ve finally found my home! From the moment I came in the door, the staff was very helpful and courteous. The atmosphere of the gym is very friendly, and everyone around always wants to help. I even met the owner, and he was very genuine and down to earth. All the equipment is clean and new as well.
