We had my son's 5th birthday party here and it was great! Our party host, Tyler, was excellent! So helpful and had everything prepped down to the tablecloths, balloons, plates and utensils. He helped us load and unload too! We brought our own food and drinks but everything else they had taken care of. Really appreciated the attention to detail and the kiddos had a blast climbing π

This is my favorite rock climbing gym. It's not super big, but it has a very nice and accepting community. The staff is exceptional. Extremely nice and knowledgeable. The routes are challenging and fun. It's great for both beginners and experienced climbers. There is also one of my all-time favorite restaurants inside, and i frequently go for just the food.

Staff was so rude, we came with our 4 year old specifically for their kids cave and after we payed the rude lady informs us we canβt go in the kids cave because a birthday party is in there and we couldnβt get a refund or come back a different day. She rolled her eyes at us and gave us hella attitude.

Was in town for a wedding and decided to stop by a local gym and this place did not disappoint! The staff was incredibly nice and very attentive to the climbers. As I was trying out the autobelays I saw them making frequent laps to make sure everyone was climbing safely and chatting with the climbers. The route setting was fun and interesting, the ropes had a lot of variation in movement and style in a wide range of skill levels. Absolutely recommend!

Great route setters and a great community of climbers! Has a decent number of auto-belays of various difficulty and many more challenging climbs beyond that. In addition to roped climbing, there are a couple bouldering areas. Great place for an active kid's birthday party and you get to reserve the kids climbing cave all to yourself. There's also a small, pretty well-stocked weight lifting room. Great gym and great people!

Absolutely loved our visit to INspire Rock Climbing! I took my 10-year-old son for his very first climbing experience, and he had an absolute blast. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. The facility was impressively clean and well-organized, with a great variety of walls and challenges to keep things exciting for all skill levels.
What stood out most was how supportive and encouraging the environment wasβperfect for beginners like my son. He felt safe, confident, and inspired to keep climbing. Watching him conquer wall after wall with a huge smile on his face made the day unforgettable.
The only thing Iβd love to see in the future is a veteran discount alongside the active duty military discount. Itβs not expected, but it would be a nice gesture to include those whoβve also served.
Overall, INspire Rock Climbing made for an awesome day out, and weβll definitely be back soon!

This is our 3rd birthday party (2nd at this location) at inSPIRE Rock!
They communicate, are transparency on costs, and accommodate your needs.
The host works well with the guests, in our case 5th, 6th, and 7th grade kids to make sure they climb safely and get acquainted with the equipment.
While the party window is 2 hours you can stay and climb as long as you want and that's exactly what most of the kids did!
The facility is clean and well maintained, too!

Six months ago I walked into Spring location of Inspire Rock having never really climbed before. I was so impressed with the staff, facility, and climbing itself that I walked out with a membership. On my first visit, I was given a quick orientation that included a tour of the facilities and an explanation of the different types of climbing. Both the staff and other regular climbers are incredibly friendly, helpful, and supportive. People of all ages (toddlers to senior citizens), sizes, and climbing abilities are welcome.
Downstairs, there are about eleven auto-belays, pre-set top ropes, lead routes, and bouldering. Upstairs is more bouldering, a βkids caveβ with easier bouldering and auto-belays, a yoga studio, a weight training room, and a party room. Route difficulties range from 5.6 at the easiest to 5.13 at the hardest. There are usually at least three autobelay routes at the 5.6 level. Top-rope and lead routes usually start at 5.8. The walls are from 32β to 43β tall and have a variety of angles, including vertical, slab, overhang, roof, a crack, and arΓͺtes. Boulders range from vIntro to V10, and the difficulty range is indicated by colored tapes on the start/end holds. All the routes and boulders are listed in Kaya.
If you do not have your own gear, you can rent shoes, harness, chalk, and a belay device. They do not rent rope, so bring your own if you want to lead climb. When you are ready to invest in your own gear, you can purchase supplies at the gear shop.
It can get busy when there are birthday parties or when the team climbers meet, but people are pretty good about taking turns. If a section of the gym will be closed off for a special event, it is usually announced on social media a couple of days in advance.
The 5.ATE cafe makes it easy to grab a meal or a quick drink, but it has different hours from the gym itself.

We went on a Sunday. I have small kids so they like going to the kids cave but because of the birthday celebration they close that area. My kids had to wait until the parties were over. So they only got to climb in between parties. My older daughter had more fun because she is able to climb downstairs. I would have been nice to have the cafe open for food.

This is a great place to spend time for people of all ages. There is a consistent high energy that resonates from the members as they climb or encourage another climber. Upstairs, a kiddie room is available to introduce youngsters to this sport, or for grognards like me to practice traversing. On the walls, the routes are consistently good, and the staff are all cheerful and affable. Topping it off, on Tuesday through Saturday, the cafe is open, and they serve really good grub.

The climbing was so interesting and entertaining with the different dimension of walls, holds and their tracks. Equally great is the food. Burgers meat patty are juicy and the pizza first class, with better coffee than most coffee shops around. This place is the perfect place to bring your kids and seat down and watch them work out while eating delicious food. The service is also superior, my family and I were served by Kaylee at the food court; she was very kind, serving and professional. The staff members were great with our kids to make sure they were safe and having a good time.

Staff attending customer at the front desk were nice, the ones who were just hanging near the front desk were a bit much. The place was packed with teens, small children, and parents (great for families, terrible for lone climbers). What added to the overall congestion, and really the reason for my 2-star, was the maintenance being done on the second floor, and not allowing climbers to access while it was being done.

This is truly a special place. Iβve been a member for about 2 months now, and besides the great facilities and climbing routes, the staff and other members are what truly makes this place special. The staff are very helpful, accommodating, and motivating. I brought my 7 year old once with me and they were all gathered around cheering him on as he topped a 5.10- route. It was so awesome and left such a good impression on my son. The other members all have a great community mindset. Everyone is super polite and willing to lend tips when necessary or asked. Have been able to make a lot of good friends here already in a short time. Love Inspire Rock! Happy to call this my home gym!!

Expensive membership (price is higher than Momentum which has many routes than even combined Cypress and Spring gyms). The worst thing is they increase the membership fee constantly (now I have to pay for $90 per month) but I donβt see much improvement of the facility, etc. I like the stuff who working there but customer service and gym quality wise is questionable for this membership priceβ¦

I decided to go all in on this place. I've bought a membership, and a 10 punch pass. I like to use my punch pass to bring my friends out rock climbing. I try climbing once or twice a week here. They do a great job of replacing routes regularly. They have two caves and both are huge with multiple routes, and many variations of difficulty.
One of my favorite things about climbing here is that they use large volumes often, and it really makes you think about how you use your entire environment to complete a climb.
I often see people bring their families and come rock climbing. And once a month they have a super family discount which I think is really honorable.

This place was amazing. We took my 4 year old son and 13 year old nephew and they both had a wonderful time. There were probably a dozen locations where my 4 year old could climb. The variation of complexity meant that they both could enjoy the space. There are also a few sections with bouldering. Two for 8+ and then a special section for the little ones to boulder. The staff were also super helpful with instructions and pointing us to the right equipment. I ended up buying the 10 visit punchcard and will likely get a membership once my little guy gets a bit more practice.

Just not at all a good gym in my opinion. Itβs super small, super crowded, the routes are all over each other, and really plainly set. Itβs just meh and not worth it now that Houston has other gyms around. Only recommend for like a weekend one-off or kids birthday.

As someone who climbs all the Houston gyms, the two Inspire gyms are quite nice. Spring is the older of the two, but is well maintained and has a good selection of top rope, auto belay, leaf, and bouldering. The difficulties are only slightly flattering, I feel they are pretty accurate.

$30 per person, which includes shoes and harness. Higher priced than other rock climbing locations but this one does have a small grill to get pizza and burgers. Different sections for different levels of experience. They also have a toddler section upstairs. Saturday is the busiest day so expect to wait a few minutes to use the auto-relay which is the ones most people/kids use. Clean restrooms with shower and lockers for members. However the parking lot is small when considering the amount of customers.

I love this gym and all they offer but I pay a lot of money to come here and yet I still get surprised when I show up and the entire gym is swarmed with children. Once or twice is fine but literally multiple times a week I'm unable to climb because of the enormous amount of kids events the gym does.
They are inconsistent with members hours and I am just overall disappointed with how much I am charged and how little respect this company has for their members.
I think the employees are great and love the managers that I know.
Overall this gym has a lot to offer but lack of public information and respect for their members makes it hard for me to shell out the money I do.
A text number or email bulletin would do this gym a HUGE favor.

Staff is great and a good place for kids and beginners to learn and grow here.
If you are an advanced lead climber, WARNING, you do need to bring your own rope, they do not rent out, nor are there typically that many people lead climbing, which is usually a good thing. But this made me super disappointed since I didnβt bring my rope and nobody else had one either, so I want to save others from the same feeling!
Also if advanced in lead already, I would advise you to take the lead cert test at the other inspire location in Cypress. They do not require a 3 hour course like the Spring location does, which to my surprise are always scheduled 2 weeks out and only have 4-5 slots available, like what?
Boulder sets are always sub-par, wouldnβt recommend this gym for the boulders. Would recommend eating here though, 5 Ate Cafe is super bomb!

This is a great place to rock climb. Inspire rock offers day passes and rental gear. There is lead, top rope, bouldering and auto-belay. You have to pass a test to belay others but if you don't know the workers are more than welcome to belay you. Additionally, they have 7 or 8 auto belays so you can climb on your own. They have two areas of bouldering for the public. They change the climbing routes pretty often so there will always be something new for you.
Most of the routes within the gym are targeting around v9-v12 but they do a few v13 and they do go down to v6 for top rope. The bouldering is more balanced with there route setting with a even amount as the grade goes up. So there will be a limited amount of bouldering to do if you are a beginner.
The gym is very friendly as the employees and the people there have a very welcoming environment. They also have a kitchen inside for hanging out or taking breaks. Overall, I highly recommend Inspire Rock Indoor climbing for climbing as they have fairly priced memberships as well.
If you are looking for competitions or a team, inspire rock has that as well!

I love this gym. Most of the employees are nice and helpful, including the managers. Itβs nice that thereβs not only bouldering, but a variety of things to do there including training at the climbers basement or the gym upstairs. Back then, I wouldβve put a 5 star review but the main reason Iβm writing a review is to express my one concern that has been worrisome the last couple of months- the kids. I totally understand they want to let kids enjoy this amazing sport(trust me I have little cousins and also use to work at a daycare) it has great health benefits for them. But, when I go the gym now during late afternoons, rarely mid afternoons, the amount of kids running around and doing things theyβre not supposed is overwhelming-itβs seems to never ending. I understand there are some climbers that bring the kids themselves but they usually watch them and make sure theyβre doing things right the whole time. As for the party goers and other kids that are there for their first time, itβs a different story. My only hope writing this is for yβall to take more safety precautions and also take into account those people that have been gym members for awhile just wanting to climb when they get there and not deal with chaos. Maybe an adults night or something along those lines would be a suggested idea. Besides that, I highly recommend this gym to any new or old climber!

Love this gym, they do a great job of walking you through everything especially if you're new to rock climbing. They guide you through how to put on the equipment and have staff constantly walking around to provide tips and guidance. If this is on your bucket list, doooo it!

Love this place. My wife and I take our five-year-old son here almost every week for climbing and dinner. The climbing is fun and they update the routes regularly to keep it challenging and interesting. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff is great - everyone is friendly, helpful, and passionate about climbing. The food is amazing - some of the best pizza and burgers anywhere in town. Highly recommend.

I just started climbing a few weeks ago so far this place is GREAT!!
The staff is very helpful and super informative.
Keith, helped my son and I get setup with our climbing gear, we were a pain but he didnt give up on us until we were all setup and ready to climb.
All of the fellow climbers we have met here are very friendly and provide tips, everyone from the younger adults to grown ups!!
Look forward to climbing here for a while!!

Went here for a birthday party today. What a great place for a gathering. Kids really had fun. The staff was friendly, very attentive and helped teach kids the basics of rock climbing. Even noting some younger children who were a little timid. Wonderful time today.

Small, crowded, and a lot of little kids running around/under people climbing and belaying. Seemed like too many routes were squeezed together into too small of a space, I saw someone fall on an auto belay and hit the person on the route next to them because there was maybe 4 ft in between the belays, if that. Don't recommend it.

This place is great! Where do I start? The employees are super helpful, other members are friendly, the cafe has great food, and the facility is clean and well maintained! The gym offers rental shoes and equipment but also has a store for you to purchase your own gear and supplies. The Cypress location is much bigger but is managed the same way! Highly recommend!

Super well kept gym, very fun time climbing with auto-belays! We will totally be back.
Update:
Paul reached out to me after my initial review and sort of rectified the issue. I really appreciate that they seem to follow up when people donβt have great experiences, so we are going to go back soon and try it out!
Original review:
We had a punch card purchased from Stone Moves for 10 day use passes + equipment from a few years back. We decided just the other day that we wanted to try out rock climbing again! However, we found out online that Stone Moves had closed their original location and formed some type of partnership with Inspire Rock.
I didnβt really understand the details of this whole partnership thing. So I called Inspire Rock to ask if they were honoring any of the old punch cards from Stone Moves, by chance. I didnβt have much hope, to be honest, but the manager told me that he would honor the remaining punches on the card. This is fantastic, because the punch cards were surely not cheap!
Now this gym is over 30 minutes away from where we are located, so I really wanted to make sure that there would be no surprises when we arrive. The very enthusiastic manager confirmed on the phone again that they would honor the punches, saying something along the lines of βIβm not gonna let you drive all the way out here and then not honor them. If you show up with the card we will be able to work it out for you.β
Fast forward to the next day, we arrive at Inspire Rock and wait in line, sign our waivers, and get to the desk. I explain the situation and hand Collin M. at the desk the card and heβs like βalright, no problem, let me text my manager to clear it.β
Long story short, the manager apparently changed their mind and said that they actually couldnβt honor our punch card. Instead, it would be the full admission cost if we wanted to climb. We were a little shocked by this, so we just left instead.
I understand not accepting the card, that totally makes sense. But I did not need to be lied to on the phone to be baited into driving 30 minutes across town, just to be told that I actually need to spend almost $100 for my friends and I to climb.
Please keep your word in the future with customers.

Great experience! Went with a Groupon to try for my daughter and we both loved it. I got a cold brew coffee and she got off the couch and away from video games. Highly recommended!! If you donβt have your own equipment expect to rent shoes and a harness for $8 or so and if needed a chalk bag for $3.50 or so but either way worth it. She spent 3 hours climbing the beginners wall and loved the kid cave.

First time to try rock climbing! Staff was sooo helpful. Stayed with us until we felt comfortable. Big plus to me to have special attention. I felt extremely comfortable! Thanks for a great day. BTW, we took my 5 year old grandson thinking he was just old enough, but we saw a 3 yr. Old and a 4 yr. Old scurrying up the climbs. Excellent place!

Great place, really nice staff, and the best restaurant in a rock gym ever!!! Wish it was bigger like it's brother in Cypress, but they change the routes and have some auto belay stations.

Typically a great gym, their 1 for 1 for 1 promotion is not worth it whatsoever. The gym is overall nice but not very many routes. And route quality for bouldering is 5 out of 10. Best part of the gym is the member only garage
