This company is more focused on making money than on what the kids actually gain from the program. I had to withdraw my son because they saw no issue with the lack of structure in their classes. He spent a good portion of each session just standing around, and the program itself was extremely unorganized. When I raised my concerns, they still charged me a $120 early cancellation fee—even though what was promised when I signed up was not what we received. I do not recommend this company. Their priority is profit, not the children’s development or experience.

We’ve had such an amazing experience at KGSP/Poss Cheer. The coaches and staff are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. They know how to push each athlete to reach their full potential while still keeping things fun and positive. The attention to proper technique and safety is top-notch, and the energy in the gym is always upbeat and motivating. I am absolutely amazed at the lack of professionalism at this place. I signed my daughter up for a trial class, and it seems as though any new kids are an afterthought.
When we arrived, Allison gave my daughter a green bracelet which indicates that my daughter was new and the adults would know as well. She showed us around and said we could wait upstairs until my daughter’s class was called.
When my daughter’s class was called, she went to line up with the teacher, but wasn’t greeted by the teacher or introduced to anyone at all. I asked the front desk if my daughter was with the correct class, and was told she wasn’t. So I had my daughter go over to the correct area, then was told again she was in the wrong area. How am I, or my kid, supposed to know where to go when we are brand new?
Once she got with the correct class, they did their warm ups. neither the female nor male instructor welcomed her to class or asked if she needed help with anything. They didn’t even tell her their name nor did anyone at the front tell us who her instructors would be.
After warm ups, the male instructor went through the circuit activities and explained what to do. He then told everyone to get started, but my daughter had no experience with this at all and neither instructor offered her help. When my daughter went to ask the female instructor what to do, she was waved off. So my daughter went to ask the male teacher if she could take a quick break and came to tell me she felt unwelcome and wanted to leave.
I went to the front desk to discuss this with Allison or the other lady and no one was there. So we left. I am absolutely stunned that a place that is supposed to help kids get into gymnastics and tumbling would not only ignore kids who are clearly new, but make them and their family feel unwelcome as well.

KGSP offered a new program called adult gymnastics. It was an open gym style, but Coach Marcus stayed with us the whole time and created practice circuits for us to follow! This was my first time ever doing gymnastics and I had so much fun! I can see why the kids have such a great time you’re laughing, giggling and having fun all while building strength! The gym itself is huge and you can tell they offer a variety of programs! I liked how there was a separate sitting area for parents and plenty of room for everyone! The gym felt clean and organized, which I appreciated!

My little girl tried a few classes here and we were not impressed .Her first class was soccer which was ok. The coach took time with her which I appreciated, but there was not room to really practice.
Her second class was tumbling. She was so excited to try this class. The coach was sick that day so all the kids just played. I let that pass bc I understand things happen. Her first class with this coach was rough. He had no patience and expects these kids to understand on the first try. He was only able to work with my little girl for about 5 mins in class. His time was occupied with yelling at the kids and only focusing on the older ones. Again, I let that pass. Today was her second class with him. It was ok, but he didn’t take time with each child. The only ones that got personal time were the kids he has trained before. When my little girl tried to get his attention he yelled at her. Not acceptable. I understand kids need to learn structure, but there is a better way of doing it. Keep in mind you are working with young girls and you can have a little more compassion.To be clear, no one needs to ever speak to my child that way period.
After class, he only spoke to select parents about their kids. We expressed our concerns to the manager. That was a waste of time. Apparently, tumbling is self taught according to her. We cancelled our membership and went to another tumbling place in Katy. My recommendation is visit these places and see things for yourself.

****Update. I’ve read the response from mgt. A few things we need to get straight. A free or complementary class was never offered so let’s not make things up to save face. A refund was never issued again another lie. I see a trend here. I had honest feedback & instead of taking it as you should, you decide to take the unprofessional route. Have the day you deserve.

Our 10 years old son is attending the special needs group classes, and he has improved his motor skills and self-confidence since the first class.

Mixed Experience at the Gym – Great Coach, Poor Administration
Update to owner's response:
It seems that if customer care were truly a priority, your response would have shown humility or a willingness to reflect and improve. In lieu of this, I have edited my review to clarify some of your points of confusion. But, with respect to your comment: “it’s important to set the record straight when the situation described is so far removed from what actually occurred.”
You did not encounter any of these experiences - I did, and it reflects my perspective and comments shared by other parents. I have no reason to misrepresent, and frankly, I wouldn’t take the time to write this if there wasn't a meaningful opportunity for learning and improvement. I hope that you take this feedback to heart and consider fostering a courteous and professional environment, something that seems to require attention from the top down.

While Coach Rachel was truly exceptional and a highlight of our time at the gym, the overall experience left much to be desired.

Facility & Program Concerns
The new facility includes a small upstairs area for preschoolers, which unfortunately lacks visibility for parents. Over the six months my daughter attended, I saw little to no development in her skills, which was disappointing.

Birthday Party Experience – Not Recommended
Lack of Coordination: I requested to schedule the party around Coach Rachel’s availability. Despite multiple follow-ups, the party administrator failed to respond. By the time I coordinated directly with Coach Rachel, her available dates were already booked. Thus the change in preferred time that the owner's response alludes to.
KGSP on March 2nd: “Yes, we can reach out to Coach Rachel to see if she will have availability that day…”
Me on March 29th: “Hello, I’ve called several times to book the party for May 10th at 3pm but can’t seem to get a callback…”
I ultimately scheduled the party in person.

Unprofessional Communication: Emails were often met with curt, unhelpful responses that didn’t address my questions.
Unprepared Environment: On the day of the party, the upstairs area was cluttered with other children’s belongings, including visible underwear. It was clear no effort had been made to prepare the space.
Poorly Managed Activities: Unlike other gymnastics parties we’ve attended, this one lacked structure and engagement. Despite paying for a two-hour package, the hosts were frequently disengaged, and the children chose to end the play section of party, which was due to last 1.5hours early due to boredom - you should see this in the footage.

Edit:
“we even went out of our way to assist your party hosts with extra support....” Without specifics, it’s unclear what support was provided. But to clarify, the hosts were polite and helpful, they just didn't perform any structured play as was promised, something many parents noticed.

Membership Cancellation Issues
After this experience, I decided to cancel our membership. Although I provided the required 30-day notice, the confirmation email incorrectly extended it to six weeks. The admin blamed a system error, but I still had to follow up to correct it—and was ultimately billed for the extra time. I had to discuss speaking with my CC company before receiving a refund. Edit, the owner claims this was communicated to me at sign up and during our email exchange. It was in fact, not:
Me: “If the system cannot prorate it then can you do it manually? My agreement with you is for a 30-day notice period so it is for you to honor that.”
KGSP: “Yes, we can do that.”
Despite this, I was still billed for extra weeks.

Conclusion
While Coach Rachel is a standout, the administrative issues and lack of professionalism significantly detract from the overall experience. It was clear to me that the birthday party is just an additional money maker for the gym and they've put no thought or effort into the actual management of it. My experience of the whole process was of dealing with a lackadaisical staff who treated us as a nuisance instead of valued members.

If you are serious about your child's gymnastics career do not come here. There is serious favoritism and this place is severely understaffed. Making It impossible for your child to receive the coaching and attention you're paying for. When looking for a new extracurricular activity for my 3 year old I thought gymnastics is something we might want to try. I looked for a gym close to my home and as it turns out KGSP is right outside our neighborhood.
Online they advertise classes for toddlers and preschooler. My child was eligible for the 3 to 5 year olds’ class. I reached out via phone and received a text conversation instead, a little unorthodox but fair, they communicated effectively. I was told there was no space and I would be added to a waiting list for when a spot became available.

A couple of weeks later I was contacted via text to let me know they were excited to have us! $30 for two trial classes and if we signed up they would use that money towards the registration fee.

We showed up for our class. My child was not immediately ready to participate as he had never been in a gym setting before and they were kind enough to bring out a member of the staff to sit with him while he acclimated to his surroundings. Unfortunately he was not as responsive as the teacher would have liked and after 15 minutes the staff member brought him to me because the teacher had requested it; I was told “he was disrupting the class”.
That was it. Class over for us.

I went to the front and requested a refund.

I would give this gym 2.5 stars. I did like that the supporting staff was friendly and welcoming, there was also not an issue to receive a refund for my trial.

I might be wrong but the teacher’s expectations on what a 3 year old should do or how he should behave on his first day was a little out of sorts and kicking him out of the class so early into the lesson was completely unexpected.

We will be trying other types of extracurricular activities. We understand gymnastics isn’t for everyone and hopefully other parents do not have this same experience with this place.

My daughter was enrolled in gymnastics for a couple of months. I am honestly not happy with this place at all. My daughter was enrolled for a while at this place and she has not learned anything. All her coaches were high school students and I feel that they were a little too inexperienced and the classes were too big for them to handle so my daughter hasn’t learned anything. We went to a skills meet, that we had to pay for by the way, and it was more clear than ever that she hasn’t learned anything. We trialed at a different gymnastics place and it was clear the difference in professionalism and teaching. Oh and don’t try to call them, because they won’t answer. Even to first enroll her, I called and no answer but they texted me to ask how they can help. Which isn’t all that bad but it’s frustrating when I have questions or try to call to schedule and makeup. I tried to call to unenroll her but all they did was text me again. I told them I wanted to unenroll and they told me they usually need a 30 day notice but since the new month was coming they were just going to unenroll her, but they still tried to charge my card.

I totally love this place. I have 3 girls and my niece is enrolled. The teachers are friendly and loving. My girls are learning so much and they doing well. Very inclusive and diverse. I’m so glad my girls attend.

KGSP is amazing! The gym opened up supervised learning at the beginning of the school year and it was big blessing for this Mom! The gym looked after every detail in regards to the safety of our children as far as cleaning, disinfecting and making sure they were safe on a daily basis. This made me feel so comfortable sending my child. My son woke up every morning excited to go to the gym where he could easily focus on his learning and then to have his daily activity in the afternoon. All the coaches were great! A big Thank you to Stephanie, Chris, Coach Roman and all the other awesome coaches who helped out with my son!

We enrolled our daughter into the 2020 Summer Camp and she absolutely LOVED this place. She asked everyday if she could get there a little early and for us to try and be 5 minutes late picking her up. Ownership and staff and super friendly, professional and the facility is very clean . I highly recommend trying this place out. It was well worth it for us.

We enrolled our kids in the summer camp program for 2019. They had a great time. The first day, they were sad they had to leave because they were having such a great time. We loved the staff. They really cared and showed interest in what was going on in the lives of our girls. They were really great with working with us with our schedule. We would recommend the camp to all of our friends.

It's nice to have my daughter enjoying the sport of gymnastics again. After some issues at another local gym, we decided to make the move to Katy Gymnastics and Sports Performance and couldn't be happier! Brand new, wide open facilities with the best coaches in Katy. Also, bringing proper body mechanics and analysis to gymnastics that has been shown to reduce injury. Our kids love this gym and it's staff! They can't wait to go to their next class.

Gym isnt even open yet but they have twelve 5 star reviews? Most are complimenting the facility and teachers yet the facility Is still under construction?? Also, all but 2 of the reviews are from first time accounts with no previous reviews, hmmm....can't say forsure but does this screams fake reviews...

The gym will be opening in a month from now. The coaches and the management is awesome , with years of experiencing in gymnastics and equivalent field. my daughters has been training with the coaches for over 3 years now. They are certainly arguably one of the best from industry and are committed to the best interests of gymnast girls.
