My children have been attending the KSW of Richmond for over 10 years. My oldest son is a Black Belt; his younger brothers hold Brown Belts. They love Mr. Robert and the Kuk Sool Won martial art, which is very comprehensive and involves effective techniques using both the upper and lower body. In addition to learning weapons, it teaches valuable life skills.

I have also practiced martial arts my entire life, holding two black Belts and one brown belt in other martial arts, and I can confidently say that Kuk Sool Won is a well-rounded martial art that can be practiced by individuals of all ages, from young children to seniors.

Lastly, I would like to express my special appreciation for Mr. Robert, whose dedication and passion for teaching his students are commendable. He emphasizes the importance of discipline, respect, and hard work—essential principles not only for any serious martial arts but also for success in life.

I definitely recommend the KSW of Richmond.

I was disappointed and disgusted with Robert! For him to pull my son in law and be humiliated is mind blowing. We took my grandson for a trial last week, today was his first actual class. Robert, pulled my son in law back and told him, I have an opinion about you, just as you have an opinion on me! Who does this type of behavior? Are you judging him because of the color of his skin? He had made a few other comments while my son in law had stepped out, that I let slide. You are what’s wrong with the world!!! And to even make comments about today be Good Friday, you are not a God fearing man as you clam to be!

Unprofessional and charges customers for services they never provided.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with this center and the manner in which they have handled my situation. Over the past month and a half, I have been dealing with a distressing situation that has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. Despite my attempts to resolve the matter, it seems that my concerns are falling on deaf ears.

My son, who was initially enrolled in these martial arts classes, has been unable to participate due to a significant health condition that he developed. I promptly submitted all necessary documentation, including a health report from his doctor, to the Member Solution Center as per their requirements. However, the response from this center has been consistently delayed and unprofessional.

The main points of concern are as follows:

Delayed Response: I submitted the health report more than a month and a half ago, and I expected a timely response considering the urgency of the matter. The fact that it took this long to get any form of communication from your end is completely unacceptable.

Disregard for Health Report: Despite providing a detailed health report from my son's doctor, it seems that the center has disregarded the seriousness of his health condition. I trusted that this would be handled with the utmost sensitivity and understanding, but it appears that the center is more concerned with charging my credit card than addressing the well-being of its members.

Ongoing Monthly Charges: To make matters worse, I have been charged monthly installments for a service that my son cannot avail due to his health condition. This is not only unethical but also against the principles of good customer service.

Beware of Contract! We were signed onto a 4 years commitment without our knowledge on a hand-written contract. Read carefully before signing on. They defer to some billing company, who are mere payment processors. We thought this was a honest family before this discovery.

Someone grabbing my four year old son with both hands by the collar of his uniform is unacceptable and unwarranted! A great Master knows how to instruct a class by maintaining appropriate interaction with his students, not what I observed with my child today and I made this known to him and his wife! So, if you're looking for a great instructor that's not condescending and knows how to keep his hands to himself, then this is not the place for you! We will not be returning!

Great people and great environment. My son loves it. Robert and family are down to earth and genuinely care about the kids. Very structured. Kids learn respect, discipline as well martial arts. Would highly recommended to everyone. Thanks from the Hendry's!
