I’ve been a regular member at this LA Fitness location, but I have to be honest — the cleanliness has become a major issue. After visiting the Uptown Dallas LA Fitness recently, I realized how much better maintained that gym is for the same membership price.

The locker room at my regular location is consistently dirty, and the sauna and showers are in terrible condition. There’s visible mold, rust, and even what appears to be dried blood in the shower area. It’s disappointing because the gym itself has potential, but the lack of upkeep makes it really unpleasant to use the facilities.

I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements soon — members deserve a clean and safe environment to work out in.

I've been a member here for 12 years and sick of complaining about the filthy shower facilities. No one inspects or supervises the cleaning staff. One cleaner comes in with a dry broom and dustpan. The shower walls have the same specks of conditioner since last spring. Perhaps a bad review will catch an owner/ managers attention. Complaining to the front desk staff goes unheeded. I just looked through other reviews and the owner only responds to.positive reviews. Spend some money on a cleaning staff and a mop with bleach.

Update August 2025: no major changes in anything, no signs of it getting better. Bathrooms are always dirty, soap dispensers always empty. One paper towel dispenser for 4 sinks, and it’s rarely stocked. At this point I continue my membership here solely because every other gym is now 30-40$ monthly and paying initiation fees is not worth it. If you’re looking into working out here, avoid it.

Update January 2025: Equipment repairs take ages to be completed. There are at least 5 treadmill machines broken at all times and they don’t seem to care about fixing or replacing them. Bathrooms are dirty at the peak hours and workers are always leaving, clearly a sign of poor management.

Only two cable lat pull-down machines in the gym and one has been down for over a month. Ridiculous for a gym that charges $40 per month.

EDIT: it’s been 2 months and the machine is still broken, but at least they removed the repair sign lol.

EDIT: repair sign is back, going on 2.5 months of the same machine being broken. Several treadmills have a high pitch wine when the belt is running but they don’t bother to fix them until they’re actually broken.

LA Fitness has been a game-changer for me. The gym is spacious, clean, and has everything I need—from free weights and machines to cardio equipment and a full basketball court. I also really like the indoor pool and sauna—it’s a nice way to wind down after a tough workout.

Gina is amazing at the front desk! The staff is professional and welcoming, and I’ve never had a problem getting help or advice when I need it. The group classes are also a huge plus—Zumba, spin, HIIT—you name it. There’s something for every fitness level.

It’s not just a gym, it’s a place where I actually feel motivated to show up and put in work. Definitely recommend LA Fitness if you’re looking for a full-service gym with great value.

I would give it a negative stars if possible. Not only were a number of treadmills out of service, but after a recent job loss, the personal trainer director said there was no way out of the 'contract' for personal training session. I was told it couldn't even be put on hold temporarily.

This LA fitness has the best customer service. I have been to other LA fitnesses, but this one has the best customer service by far. Sterling was extremely helpful and convinced me to buy a membership. I have had personal training with Jeremy and will soon have Peter. With Jeremy, he was very kind and I learned so much from him. I have yet to train with Peter, but I have interacted with him many times and he is very sweet. I have complained about many things here, and they fixed all my problems. I feel like I am being heard and it is nice to have a gym that cares. Justin is cool.

I have been to this LA fitness on and off for the past four years and it just keeps going downhill. The equipment is old and rusty, the treadmills are extremely noisy and makes it embarrass embarrassing when you’re trying to run. The pool is murky and the hot tub always has some brown gunk floating in the center. It’s . I just came in for the first time in over a year and won’t go back. I’d rather drive an extra 15 to 20 minutes to go to another gym than go here again.

The gym is very good, everything is perfect! But I feel that the children's area is a little abandoned, there are no games necessary for the entertainment of the children, they should also limit access to others to the area where the children are, and that it is only the person in charge who is there, because you can see members of the staff who come in and out and any child can leave and they don't even realize between opening and closing the door. Also that the staff who are taking care of the children, should interact and play with the children, so that they feel comfortable too. Today, May 19, 2025 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am I left my baby in the children's area, and when the manager arrived she was not with the other children, she was at the desk resting her head on it, and the children were alone in the background playing with each other without supervision. Even so I left my son but when I returned I found him crying a lot. They should also ensure that the bathrooms in the children's area are always closed, since access is too easy for children and they in their innocence start playing with the toilet water. It was my experience today. But however on Friday, May 16, the experience was very pleasant, since the young woman who was working that day from 10am to 12 interacted very well with my son playing games and was aware of them, my congratulations and thanks to her. I wish she was more days.

I stopped coming to this location a year ago because it's old and grimy. I've come back now a couple of times, and it's still very grimy.

This is an older LA. Some of the workout areas are updated. Equipment is adequate, with some being new, but some of it is older and even rusty.

My main issue is with the shower, locker room areas, and hot tub. Its understandable that they may not want to update these areas since its costly but these areas are pretty gross. They need to, at the very minimum, close the showers and locker rooms and do a deep cleaning.

There is a layer of dust on the lockers in the areas where they don't get touched. The showers today had hair all over them, soap scum everywhere, and the grout is overall pretty dirty as well. I have seen the hot tub with a layer of dirt scum in the foam floating in the middle of it.

Please do a deep clean and have someone clean more often.

They also completely removed the swimsuit water extractor, which is annoying.

I have visited other gyms that don't have a cleanliness issue like this one. The owners/manager needs to step it up and do better.

This gym has just gone downhill. It's in serious need of a renovation. The showers have mold in them. The bathroom stalls are rusted. The hot tub often has a film of some sort in it. A lot of the equipment is not well maintained. I guess they expect the people using the equipment to clean it, but they do not, so it's typically dirty. We cancelled our membership after years & moved to a different chain.

We had been shopping around for a gym to attend - my partner and I had not been to a gym since before the pandemic, and we wanted to start working out again to maintain good movement and mental health. We chose this gym. Angel kindly gave us a tour. When we signed up, we both had a free personalized fitness evaluation by Caleb, plenty of attentive discussion about our goals and needs with great care and detail. I had been concerned about working out again due to health issues and muscle pain, but this was all accounted for. Now we are training here two times a week, and really enjoying it. We leave feeling optimistic and worn out - in a good way.

Nice gym! Everything you need and some, gets a little packed around 6pm. Some people there don't know gym etiquette, so don't expect to be able to ask to jump in or share equipment with everyone, even if they're hogging for 20 minutes. It's not that kind of gym, Not everyones cool, bunch of newbies.

I was excited to join this gym due to the sauna, pool, and Cycling classes. I went to this gym and was so disappointed. This gym needs tons of updates. The cardio equipment is old, outdated, rusted, or broken. The lifting equipment is rusted or doesn’t work. They advertise cycling though there are no more cycling Classes in LA Fitness. This gym needs a whole redo before I come back and for the price they charge is outrageous.

I've been going to this location since 2009, I've always had a great experience there and the staff has been very friendly! My only concern is why are so many treadmills constantly down? Every time I'm there around 8-13 of the 30 treadmills are "scheduled for maintenance". Also, these are the same treadmills since I started coming here 15 years ago, I'm curious if there plans to replace them since they are constantly needing repair? Again I do love this location!

Great location at Lincoln Square by all the malls, restaurants and Arlington stadium.

Staff is always attentive and take complaints very seriously; if there’s a rude member or equipment that’s broken, they start problem solving.

There are 4 pool lanes, a lovely hot tub, several treadmills, a mini gym for tennis type recreation, various weights and running areas and this place takes security VERY seriously so there are police towers in the parking lot, keypad to get into the shower/pool rooms & BOLO warnings posted on the locker rooms (which are pretty well upkept).

The only reason I go here is because there isn’t a gym closer to my house with a pool. However, the pool has been completely overrun with Boomers who only use it to walk and flop around while playing their music as loud as their speakers can go. The front desk there’s nothing they can do to limit walking to a specific lane or reserve a time to lap swim. Half the equipment is broken and has a sign saying scheduled for maintenance. But for that to be true someone would have to be scheduled to fix it eventually. Half the treadmills have been broken for two months.

Also, this is the filthiest LA Fitness I’ve ever been to. I don’t know what their janitor gets paid to do but the trash cans are always overflowing and there’s no soap in the sinks in the men’s room. I don’t think the locker room has been mopped since they went from carpet to tile two years ago.

For what you pay, this is one of the trashiest fitness facilities I’ve ever been in. The germ x machines are refilled maybe once a month, there are tiny flies in all the showers and despite my telling them for 3 months there was a nail protruding from a board in the dry sauna they never fixed it. It’s filled with roid ragers who keep and hog weights and machines for time on end. Only half of the cardio equipment actually works.

If you want to go to a dirty gym stuck in 1990 but pay the same price of other LA fitness facilities with MUCH better quality be my guest.

But after a year I left this dump. They just want your money. They don’t care for upkeep

They don’t show it because they’re doing things they’re not supposed to do spin class. Been going here for 4 years or so. They recently updated the main workout areas and its really nice. Workout machines are well maintained, plenty of free weights although people take them from the free weights area and don’t put them back, so might need to hunt down some weights. Only issue in the workout area is some of the cardio equipment is old some don’t work. Locker rooms are clean; often see staff cleaning up after someone leaves paper towels everywhere. The staff try’s their best to keep up. Saunas only hold maybe 7 people sitting down. Maybe 10 if you squeeze in so pick your times wisely. Pool and hot-tub area is clean too. The hot-tub is drained partially sometimes but is mostly in service. It does get busy after work hours of course. Over all good quality gym, staff is friendly and does best to keep things clean and working, definitely recommend.

Very unprofessional here they allow the staff/floor managers to yell at customers and scream how they are “from the streets”. Very embarrassing as the black guy that runs the floor gets out of control frequently on Saturdays. He was yelling at the top of his lungs curse words and verbally intimidating a a guy at the help desk just last weekend. I no longer feel safe attending this location .

On the up side: The equipment works, the staff is friendly, they don't crowd the equipment into a small area (space), they have a jacuzzi, sauna, pool, group sports, basket and racket ball courts.

It's a good all around gym which has everything you could need.

On the down side:. They don't stay on top of keeping the bathrooms clean and they have allowed the place to become crowded at times making it hard to use equipment.

Equipment is at least 15 years old and repairs take time due to parts being difficult to get on the old machines. 100% of the Life Cycles do not work correctly. Biggest issue with this gym is the majority of the members don’t know how to use the equipment. They also have issues like most gyms with people spending more time sitting on the equipment using their cell phones and not working out.The “social hours” are from 5-7, when the majority of the people here are sitting on the machines with cell phones and not working out. If you are serious about working out, this is not the gym.

This gym is soooo nasty. Hair everywhere. Thr jacuzzi had dirt floating. The equipment is rusty, and the staff just sits on their phones. Yuck🤮

Always a great workout here. Has everything you need, only thing that would make it better would be a chest-supported T-bar rowing machine but stellar line up like any other LA fitness. Front staff are very welcoming and place is pretty clean

Great remodel, love the racquetball rooms so I can go off and do my exercises alone. The front desk staff is always very kind and accommodating, especially Shawana! Lots of amenities as well. The monthly price is not bad although they will get you with that start up fee.

I usually go to this location the most. They have an issue with keeping a janitor there. Sometimes the locker area for men is nasty regarding empty paper towels, trash not taking out, and not checking the sauna for trash. They don't clean the shower walls as much sometimes mold on 6 and shower curtains. Since the renovation the gym 🏋️‍♂️ part is usually clean. Weights are not everywhere

One of the many LA Fitness clubs in the metroplex that I have visited. Clean club, Clean swimming pool and a variety of fitness equipment. Numerous showers have been improved, especially most handicap showers.

I have been a LA fitness since it opened there. Most of the equipment is worn out and outdated. Same as the downstairs equipment. I go to other LA fitness in the area. They have been updated at some time after they opened.
