I have been a member at this gym for two years with a family membership. I added my daughter to my membership for her to come with me whenever I visit. The manager Bryan stopped us today and said we’re not allowed to enter, he’s saying my daughter is not in the membership. I explained to him that we did add her and I’m allowed to bring her with me anytime. One would think a manager would know how to respond respectfully but Bryan was really disrespectful and just kept saying we’re not allowed to enter. I expressed to him that I had already paid by adding her to my family membership. A manager would discuss this in a more professional manner and express his concerns if it actually made sense but unfortunately Bryan didn’t show any professionalism nor did he express any form of respect. He just kept saying you’re not allowed to enter and that you can cancel your membership now if you want. It makes no sense to have a manager like this who acts like he owns the gym and shows no respect to the members whatsoever.

Super nice club with excellent equipment and lots to choose from. Very clean. One of the factors that I usually judge how well a club is kept up is the quality of how the leg press is kept up. A lot of them have a lot of drag. The ones at this location glide so smooth. Highly recommend this club.

The staff here is bad. I didn’t get the woman’s name but her attitude was bad. She never greeted or even looked up. I cancelled due to the high annual fees, I wanted to add my son and they charged me for a separate account instead. The price difference was way too much. She had even more attitude when I tried explaining that. Very scammy if you ask me. It’s just a gym, scan my badge, smile, and go clean something I’m not here to be scammed.

This gym does not have any court rooms. There are massive amounts machines for walking for some reason. Always have to wait for the weight machines. People don't normally clean after using. There is another LA Fitness just a mile away and it has several court rooms for racquetball and a bit one for basketball. Just wish they spaced out to south a bit as there is not one close by.

Was asked to stop recording my workout when one person MIGHTVE been in my frame. However the manager in the photo below came up to me in regular attire , as she was working out , didn’t introduce herself and her delivery was DISRESPECTFUL. I asked “ do you work here” because I was genuinely confused as like I stated she didn’t introduce herself and was not polite whatsoever. This is not how a manager to resort to on addressing an issue. After I asked the question she said in the most disgusting and disrespectful tone “ yes actually i’m the manager “ with a nasty face she made at me along with the attitude followed by it. I didn’t want it to ruin my workout so I complied and agreed that I will talk to her about the issue once I leave . Once I leave and I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE WHOLE interaction!! I asked her politely “ Ma’am , can I please get your name “ she starts refusing and says “ is this because you’re mad I told you to stop recording “ and I explained to her absolutely not. It’s because how disrespectful you came up to a member who has been here for two years , never had an issue with nobody including staff and didn’t care to introduce yourself and talk to me with a different approach . Possibly “ hi I’m “…” i’m the manager here and I just don’t want you recording to provide privacy for people around you “ instead she was rude , snarky , and had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen or heard of a manager. In the interaction , she refused to give me her name , I asked her politely around 20 times (no exaggeration) , she starts to say “ honey i’m done talking to you “ looks back at her employee and goes “ ANYWAYS” and continues talking to someone else , etc. I did look up management for this location and looked at reviews and I assumed her name was either alissa or Shayla. Soon as I asked which name it was , she checked out cause she knew I was going to figure out. I didn’t escalate the situation, all I asked was for her name , soon as she saw me recording she jumped up and told me she would kick me out and have me escorted out. Her name is SHAYLA K , ( got it from the front desk 😂😂😂😂) she is a club manager for membership services and she doesn’t have a nice reputation from the reviews I see. Plenty of pictures of her , I will be speaking to corporate and I expect her to lose her job . If not I will escalate the situation on social media which I have THOUSANDS of followers on . I am a sweet girl and I was provoked by this unprofessional woman. If someone can contact me regarding this situation besides her from this location before I do escalate the situation I would appreciate it. AND DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DONT HAVE TO!!!!

Terrible classes. Instructors start late. Classes are 30-40 mins long and poorly executed, poor form, no rhythm, every class is depressing. Instructor are so sweet and front desk is nice. Update!!!!: I attend several LA Fitness gyms. This one in particular has a staff that is discriminatory and mistreats it's clientele. If you can help it, avoid this one at all costs.

I came with my daughter to this site. I provided her with a VIP guest pass through my membership, but they gave us hell, so my daughter decided to wait at the front in the seating area so I could still workout. My daughter, who is mentally and physically disabled was met with discrimination and hatred at the door by several Karen's just because of her appearance. I guess my daughter didn't look gym worthy and was verbally attacked by front desk staff after I'd walked away. When my daughter, who is hypersensitive, retaliated the staff wanted to play victim.

I attempted to remedy the issue, but was met with intimidation tactics from management, who attempted to excuse the behavior of the female staff (Caucasian and Hispanic).

That definitely wasn't going to fly. I ultimately reached out to corporate, but unfortunately it never went anywhere- just feel on deaf ears.

This isn't a site I'd recommend to anyone. You can feel the discriminatory tension when you walk in this place. As a matter of fact, I can't say that I'd approve of LA Fitness at all. They obviously train their staff in this manner across the board. They don't keep good staff very long. The staff that are kind and really care often don't stick around for long.

First Impression: It's clean. Machines are always working. It's clientele is at best diverse, I guess. It's no Cheers... where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came. I'd have to go there that often for all that.

been a member for 4 years now..as I moved away from the city and don't have the time to commute to the gym I decided to cancel membership. So I called to cancel my member ship I was told I will have to come in person because they need to verify my account. As Sunday being my only Day off I took my wife and son with me and drove nearly 40 minutes. I get there and they told me the manager who handles the cancellation is not there today so they asked me to check in and they will leave a note in their system and on Monday they will have the membership cancelled. So I don't hear anything back from them so I decided to call them. When I called they don't know anything about it. and they want me to come in person again. So I told them I can't as i am nearly 40 minutes away from the closest Club. I asked to speak to the manager hoping I can get someone with higher authority to understand my situation and actually help me out...I get the run around and how the she as a store manager set the rules and can't break the policy and sent me to cancelling it online which I wanted to do that in the first place but when I called they told me they can only do it in person. I wish people can act as human sometimes and actually help....Poor Navigator and Terrible Experience .. Never going back to LA Fitness again.

I've been working out at this gym since its opening. I had the unfortunate experience of having to leave my home including home gym (Gold's Gym) during covid in the Spirng of 2020. Never have my wife and I been so satisfied with a gym or it's staff. We bring our 3 year old daughter and is welcomed by a caring Kids Klub staff AND our older son who is big enough to train on the floor with absolutely no complaints.

This particular gym has everything that a Gold's gym has, but is superior. It's always cleaner (especially the bathrooms) which the typical gym bathrooms are always destroyed and equipment stolen (especially the attachmenrs from cable machines). This location always has clean stations and for the most part, weights, are re-racked. The Trainers, cleaning crew, and front desk associates always greet my family and I
They even address us by our first names - which is the kind of attention to detail other gyms lack. I get it, we go to the gym to workout and not make friends. And although, I consider myself a gym rat, I have built so many life long friendships inside of the gym including LA on Sublette. Including many of the staff members here.

I felt compelled to leave a review, expressing my satisfaction with my membership here. I have to say that, we love this gym and have nothing but compliments. I want to give a shout out to the current manager, Shayla, who is beyond, an exceptional leader of this establishment.

And for those of you feel the need to spread misinformation in your petty complaints - please don't. I read a couple reviews that really astonished me as they were insanely fabricated.

I recently completed a 6-month training program with Sam, and it was a fantastic experience! He truly knows his stuff. Joined over 3 months ago with hopes to utilize classes 50% of the time. The classes are limited and they eliminated spin class all together, with zero notice to the membership. (think yoga, Zumba and water aerobics) There has also been no update to the “upcoming” HIIT and Pilates studio. This is not a reflection of staff but the lack of communication from management. If classes are part of your goal, go elsewhere.

March 2025 Update - heard from the yoga instructor (not management) that the HITT and Pilates classes will no longer be coming.

My wife and I tried to workout at this location. We had not set up our apps. We requested to check in with our phone numbers. They refused to check us in and said we needed a picture ID. The Karen working the front desk told us we needed to leave then sat down and started playing on her computer. I requested her name and her supervisors name. She wrote down a number. No names. I requested her name again. She went to the back and returned with 3 other male employees. The intent was that they were going to make me leave. Ha!!!! None of “employees” offered to help resolve the issue. They only prevented my wife and I from working out. We pay our monthly fees every month and we’re not allowed to work out at this location today. The employees as this location all need a Coach and counseling session on how to be help customers instead of what happened today. The lady working the front desk should not be in her position. She is not competent enough to be talking with customers. We have placed a formal complaint with corporate. Do not join this facility.

I have been a member at multiple LA Fitness locations over the past 10 years and this one here beats them all by far. The staff is amazing as well as a great gym atmosphere. Recently management has been making sure they have been doing their jobs by enforcing mobile check in or a tag, which I was more than happy to comply with since that's stated in my agreement. Today, I had to cancel my membership with LA Fitness––after being a member for over four years. The reason being was because the director of operations, Allyssa, not only greeted me with an unpleasant attitude, but also, she did not allow me to enter the gym facility located at: 5331 W. Sublett Rd, Arlington, TX 7601, due to me not having a card to scan or the app on my phone. I offered to give her my number as I have always done in the past, but she unpleasantly rejected, which left me feeling like she could care less and with the complexity of her not like me to be there. For those reasons, I wanted to cancel my membership, which she seemed more than happy to do so. It seems to be the case that Allyssa is not suited for the position, I would like to request for her to be either retrained or replaced with someone who can show respect and warmth. If a suitable replacement has been made, I will consider reactivate my account. Please keep me updated!

Too many people doing nothing. Just sitting on machines checking their messages. Only two smith machines? How many ppl in a commercial gym actually need free weight squat racks? How many strongman or cross fitters do you get? Leg press & hack squats are terrible quality and ergonomically incorrect. Several rooms not being used. They should have some kind of sauna at least. Everything is ok except for the women who wear no underwear with their leggings, they make this place trashy and low-class. There needs to be a dress code, no one wants to be assaulted looking at your naked rear, last I checked it's public indecency and illegal.

I got my membership before thanksgiving on a special. I stoped by the gym on a last minute basis with my 8 yr old daughter. I was on the toilet and a lady came in the restroom stating I was needed in the front. I don’t understand why that couldn’t wait until I was finished? Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of my privacy! As I walked out two men where standing there as if I had committed a crime!! I’m talking as if they were cops “ We need to check your daughter in.” Apparently, they felt some type of way to have such an aggressive approach. The guy stated they thought I was someone else whom had a child. I gave my daughter the choice of going to the kids center. The kids center is more for toddlers and not school age children 2nd grade or higher. No video games just a bare wall and carpet play. Considering this is a new gym the expectations of having top tier items is expected. I was charged an additional $20 for the childcare. I think their approach can actually cause a problem with someone or an altercation. They also charged an annual fee $53.00 Dec 1st when I was given wrong information that all I was paying was 1st and last month and waive initiation fee. Also the fact it’s so new they don’t have a sauna/ massage chair/ red room therapy. I’m going to planet fitness soon as the Mansfield location opens. I think they will lose a lot of Mansfield clients once they open in January. It is a clean gym but other gyms are older and have a lot more to offer.

The process for a membership cancellation is way to convoluted. If you're not available during their manager's working hours, due to your own working hours, they will not compromise one bit. I been told to come in physically, and to take a day off work, or that I just missed the manager multiple times. Only other option, you have to write a certified letter to corporate in California to get an account review. Be aware, before you sign up with this company. Once your locked in, it's near impossible to break free.

I know its hot out but the gym is so cold that you freeze up before next set. I shouldn't be cold in 30sec. Needs a sauna. Other than that I would of gave 5 stars.

This is for the management there. Just went in drop off child in the kids club and paid a 10 dollar fee. Manager who charged me failed to tell me that it closed for lunch in 30 minutes. In the middle of my workout I had to pick up child and when confronted that it would have been nice if they had told me that they were about to close it wasn't apologetic and refused to refund my money. Unprofessional. Been going to this gym for years

Great upgrade! We needed a new LA fitness in the area. Staff is nice, it is always clean, and well maintained. They have everything you need and more. Only thing it is missing to make it perfect is a sauna. I go back in fourth from this location to little rock. Also, the signal is terrible.

This place is clean or whatever.
But management can’t run it.
The fans are on full blast most of the time. The A/C is on during winter.
The weather 40/60 and they have either of them running. This is a gym, customers supposed come here to sweat it out, not to wear hoodies or sweaters❄️. My throat get irritated with the fans. I can’t work out when is 45 degrees outside and their A/C or fans are running full blast. And that is why I am giving them 1Start!

The nicest LA in the DFW area. Equipment is clean and updated. One floor and everything is spaced out nicely. A ton of cardio machines. No waiting on stairmaster machines because there's like more than 5. Dumbbells only go up to 100 but are well intact. 3 squat cages with deadlift platforms. I've been a LA member since 2007 and have been to multiple locations around the DFW, this is the one! On the level of their signature clubs.

Front desk staff is great. I am a little hard of hearing(literally) and can be perceived as rude but they are always polite and understanding. However they have new janitors ladies, and they are literally laying in the girls locking room on their phones. The toilets are always out of paper and the hand soap might as well be water. Also there is an obscene amount of boogers on the bathroom stall walls( gross patrons, do better)! I thought they were gym members, but they are not! The old staff never did this.
