Maintenance on equipment is slow. The bench in the womens sauna was broken with shards of wood sticking out for at least 6 months with a sign that said it was scheduled for service. Restroom area is always dirty, in womens. Front desk staff is friendly.

They keep charging me! No one answers the phone. Online help tells me I have to go in and I went in no one was in that could or could authorize the cancellation! Now I have to go back. I'm literally waiting for someone to answer the phone as I leave this review... I dont live in Grapevine anymore, I'm on the other side of DFW.

Its ok. I wish they were open earlier and later. The womens locker room is clean but i feel like the womens restroom is completely neglected and never gets clean its going on at least 2 weeks since ive seen a refill of the sanitary seat covers refilled and the toilets always look disgusting and questionable if i even want to use them without contracting some kind of disease. Its gross. There is only one worker at the entrance who is ever nice and says hi or welcome the females who work the front desk are always rude and act like they hate their job. I mean as much as you pay for a membership here you would think they would have better standards.

It’s clean (in the weight room itself) and the machines are kept fairly well in working order.

The staff is of no help whatsoever and the locker rooms have things disappear and are in disorder more than not.

It seems more of a social gym than a place to workout. Groups of people camped out around machines is commonplace.

LA Fitness offers a full range of weight training, ball course, pool/hot tub/sauna/ aerobic/ spin class options at an affordable price. I love the gym but I don't live there so this is the place for me.

Great place to go, especially since it's not as crowded as other LA fitness locations. It's decently clean: in terms of the equipment there are some sweat stain on common equipment (like bench) but the locker rooms could be more clean. Overall, they seem to have plentiful facilities like swimming, racquetball, isolation equipmrnt, and an apple amount of compound equipment.

I'm absolutely in love with this place, and wish more people would come, it's sad they don't get enough business due to location and hours. And, they're actually losing business, because they've recently had to change their hours due to their lack of traffic, but people whom do go that work late can't make it, so they may go out of business. Praying not however, if you like basketball, saunas, lap pool, hot tub, plentiful equipment, you HAVE TO SIGN UP, AND SAVE THEIR BUSINESS ❤️❤️❤️

Staff is very friendly. Gym needs updating such as treadmills and weights. Bathrooms need face lift and repairs. Some showers have good water pressure and some have low pressure. Need to hire more cleaners. 2 cleaners can't clean fitness center and equipment by themselves.

I have started carrying may bag with me around the gym after my locker got busted several times here.

I really like going to this gym because it’s usually not very crowded, generally clean and I like the people here.

My recommendation is just don’t leave any valuables in your locker including your car keys.

Also this locations hours are different from other standard LA fitness locations. They close early.

Truth no star. Poor quality of service. A friend was given a 3 day pass, she recently moved into the area and was thrilled for the opportunity. I raved so much about the Lafitness center I attend on Greenville until it made her want to join. My friend thought better to try the one in her area, needless to say she didn't get the warm inviting welcome .... she joined 24hr fitness the same night she was turned away from LAFitness Grapevine Mills location.

The gym member actually re-rack their weights. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is for the stench in the men's locker room. Who puts carpet in a locker room?! I'll give it 5 stars when they rip the carpet out and lay tile.

I have been a member of this gym for over four years and have never seen it in the condition it's been in for the past 3 months. The men's room is always filthy. No soap. No toilet paper. One urinal has been out of service for a month, and now a toilet is out of service. It seems there is no janitorial service at all on site. Constantly out of hand sanitizer and paper towels in the work out area.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Here's why....

My first time at this location was an exercise in intimidation. I'd like to thank the staff member on duty at 5pm on Apr 6, 2014 for allowing me to test my resolve against someone who clearly thinks he has a right to physically intimidate others. My first time at this location, so I had no idea that this branch closes at 5pm on Sunday. For some reason, they don't post their hours at the front desk, and are the only location int he area (there are 4 others that I know of) that close that early on Sundays. This person (I'd like to say "gentleman", but it's inappropriate) walked through the dressing area at about 5:15 and informed me that they were closed. I apologized and explained that I didn't know of the closing hours, and he replied "no problem", and walked out. Thirty seconds later, I'm dressing in pitch black darkness, and had to use my cell phone to see my way out, stumbling on the wooden benches proliferating the floor. I walked to front, where this person sat at his desk, and inquired if the lights were on a timer, or if he had turned them off. He stated that he had turned them off.

At that point I stated to him that it was rude and careless to do so when he knew I was inside (the ONLY person left in the gym, beside his coworker) and that I had stumbled over the benches. He stood up, menacingly, and walked over to me. He literally flexed his pecs and biceps and said "Speak to me that way again... disrespect me again!" I was shocked for a moment, and then resolved not to be bullied. I stood my ground and asked him "Are you threatening me?" My girlfriend was literally frozen with fear, watching all that was going on. He replies, " I simply saying, disrespect me again and see what happens." I replied, "you disrespected me by turning off the light, knowing I was dressing... if I had injured myself I could've sued this gym". His reply through gritted teeth.. "you can't sue us, it's in your contract, now turn around and get out of my gym." {pec flex, pec flex}

I walked outside with my girlfriend, pausing to look back for a moment to see if he was following. This psycho then runs to the front door and yells at me to stop looking at him, and daring me to walk over to him and "give me that look again". I asked him repeatedly for his name, and he refused over and over. I told him my name, and he still refused. So brave.

Description of the aforementioned verbal abuser: about 6'1", approx 260 pound, bodybuilder physique, short fade haircut, poss. african ethnicity... again.. he wouldn't give his name.

I sincerely hope some member of the management team for this location sees this review. Something must be done about this person.

I have worked out at many different LA Fitness locations and the Grapevine location is consistently kept cleaner than other locations. The staff here is very reserved and let you do what you want to do...work out! The patrons here are always very nice as well and have picked up a few new friends here. This gym is also much less crowded than other locations which is always a plus. Except for this time of year when all of the New Years Resolutioners are flooding the scene. Other than that, this is great spot to get in and get it done!

Their advertised hours are not accurate. They actually close on Sunday (and probably Saturday too) at 5:00pm NOT at 8:00pm like they advertise here on Google. I've gone up there twice thinking that they were open, and they were not. I just want them to post or update their actual hours. If they were also open longer on the weekend, I'd probably change my rating to a 4.5 overall.

I was referred to this gym chain by a friend of mine who works there. I joined to take part in the personal training by a coworker of his who could help me get in shape for my wedding. When I enrolled, I was offered a personal training package that was billed every two weeks with no long term agreement. After a month, all of the trainers, except my friend, had left. As I wanted to train with one of the trainer who had left, I went to the training head to cancel my training. When I told them what I wanted to do, they informed me that such a plan that I described was not even offered in the company. They pulled up my account and I had been LIED to by the personnel there! They had enrolled me in a year long contract to help make their numbers better. My only recourse was to pay for 50% of my remaining sessions. I told them that this was unacceptable and wanted to speak to a corporate liaison. I spoke to Robert in their Member services division and was told by him that he would put a hold on my training account and that I wouldn't have to pay again until after my wedding. I followed his instructions and talked to the operations manager who was supposed to charge me a 75 dollar fee to put a hold on my account. Fast forward 4 months and I have been working out with my friend in his off time. He informs me today that I will need to use one of my training sessions to work out today because the management threatened to fire him for working out with his friend in his off time. Zach is not training me, as I do not pay him nor are we on the same program. We lift at the same time and spot each other for safety. I can see the management's concern that he could be training me under the table but they threatened the job of my friend and I think that their management style is poor at best. When I logged in with Zach so we could lift, he informed me that I had 20 sessions that were unused instead of the 4 I should have had. When I came home, I checked my credit card bills and found that they NEVER put my account on hold. I contacted the membership services group again and was told by Matt that the hold on my account was never even approved. So now I have been lied to by the corporate and the local personnel. This seems to be a company that is all about the bottom line and could not care less about the customer that they are screwing. While talking to Matt, he confirmed that I was stuck with what I had and that there was no recourse to resolve this issue to my satisfaction.

This gym is nice but the company and some of the people they employ are of the lowest moral fiber that I have ever come across. I not only do not recommend this gym, I condemn this company. I hope that they will be crucified in the court of public opinion for their apathetic approach to customer satisfaction and their lack of desire to do right by the members who pay their bills. I hope that anyone who reads this and has been screwed by them will speak up and will abandon their membership, as I plan to do tomorrow. For any prospective new members, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This company relies on the sheep of the world to keep their heads down and go with the flow while these financial parasites bleed them dry.

So, to recap: This is a organization who lies, cheats, intimidates employees, tolerates and in fact promotes incompetence, screws members, doesn't care that they screw members and protects the bottom line rather than their customer's interest. I will never give another penny to this company and I want the 700 dollars in training that I was never supposed to pay to be reimbursed. I won't hold my breath though. I know that I am more likely to jump up and land on the moon than ever expect these people to do the right thing.

Good place to work out at. Lots of different machines and a full range of free weights. People are helpful and actually kind of tend to keep to themselves. Most people are here to actually work out and not just play around on their phones for twenty minutes. Staff is helpful and if you sign up for a personal trainer they will work you every time to the point where you're going home and passing out. Not cause they're like boot camp drill instructors, but because they seem to make it fun and actually know quite a bit about what they're doing. I'll echo the comment about unclean bathrooms but honestly it hasn't been all that bad. I always see someone going around wiping down equipment and cleaning stuff. I just wish they'd change the music. For some terrible reason whoever they hired to pick the music at LA Fitness must want to pick the WORST music possible to make you want to put your headphones in and work your butt off just so you can get away from the god awful music.

Overall this particular LA Fitness is worth the money.
