Horrible management at league city. I lost my car keys someone turned them in to the manage’s assistant but he never brought them in to the front desk for lost and found. I had to pay over $300 dollars to replace my key.

I like this gym, its clean and quiet, but the hours truly suck for those of us who work night shift. By the time I'm home, changed and drive there, the gym is about to close. Midnight everyday of the week would be ideal. Hire more staff and extend your hours please. The rates us members pay should be more than enough, and everyone is looking for a job.

Very disappointed, per the website and when I called to ask; their handicap lift for their pool & hot tub no longer works. If an elderly person needs assistance getting into the pool, both lifts have been broken for a long time. However they continue to take money from people monthly at an extreme cost. Bad business. They call you everyday asking you to join but then staff can't handle complaints. At all! Elliott said he’d call back and never did. No thanks! I prefer honest people to have my money.

I have come here for a little over 5 months now and I just have to say this place is awesome amazing staff I walked in looking for a day pass to see how I would like the gym and was greeted with a bright warm smile from Martha who was able to help me by getting me in contact with Ivonna who was also amazing to work with and got me a 3 day pass with no pressure of feeling like I had to sign on with a membership or anything
which was great for me and I actually signed up as soon as that pass ended and have been working out here 6 days a week since
special shout out to Derick the night cleaner he always says hello and makes sure I feel comfortable with how clean everything is and that I don’t need anything

I recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to workout and feel welcomed!

(Only reason its 4/5 stars is due to the hours with the price we pay here I just wish they were open until atleast midnight but everything else is a 5/5)

They were going to charge extra. When we confronted them, they said that it was just something weird that do not worry about. However, They did put the extra charge. We demanded a print out of the agreement, and they argued the printer was slow. The email with the documents never arrived. We insisted to have the print out, and eventually, they produced the document. The document showed numbers and fees totally different to what was agreed upon. The representative, whose name is Elliot or something like that, became very aggressive, sticked the middle finger up and said “I am done with this shit go find another gym”. At this point, we demanded the immediate cancellation of the affiliation. Ivonna made the cancellation, sent the email, which was received. DO NOT MAKE YOUR REGISTRATION WITH ELLIOT AT THE BRANCH ON EAST LEAGUE CITY PARWAY!!!

I asked the older lady (susan) at the front desk for my member id on the phone. She hung up on me. Then I called again and she told me I had to do everything in person. All I wanted was some awnsers about canceling my acount. She was saying that not only couldnt she cancel my account because to cancel my account I would have to reactivate my account for some reason but she said I would have to pay for the days that it was unactive. When I was trying to better understand what she mean that I either had to let it be frozen or reactivate the acount and pay 22 dollars for 30 days she got snarky at me. And was being extremely rude making me feel like I was stupid. I tried being cordial but she got impatient and mean and told me "Ive been doing this for 8 years. I think I know what im talking about". Very unprofessional and rude. I told her I will call customer service so I can better understand my situation and she said "go ahead and call customer service". Ive had multiple experiences at this gym which made me freeze my membership in the past, but this experience alone makes me want to cancel my membership more. Im never coming here again.

Oh, by the way I went to another branch. I was able to cancel without the reactivation and the extra charge with my account being frozen. Can someone please either retrain susan or fire her.

Gym always opens late. Supposed to be open BY 5:00 am, but this morning the cleaning lady unlocked the door at 5:12 am. Front desk attendant didn't show up until later. When the cleaning lady opened the door at 5:12 there were 10 people waiting outside (more sitting in their cars waiting to see when they would open). The frustration was obvious with people talking about waking up early just to stand outside. You can go down the road to Crunch Fitness for $10 a month, and they are open 24-7.

This used to be a great gym, but it has gone down. For the last 4 years I have taken a weight class here on Sunday Mornings at 8:30 AM, and there was a regular group of folks who attended. The instructor took another job and they have no intention of replacing her or finding another instructor. When I called, I spoke with Ashley, and she let me know they have other classes and will be opening Reform Pilates - which does not address my concern. Further, the group fitness room is always in a state of neglect. Every year they close the gym for 3 weeks, usually in September, to make upgrades - but never to the fitness room which has mold, peeling wall paper, and water leaks. They have to mop up spots and bring in buckets whenever it rains. I will be canceling my membership to this gym. It's unfortunate, because otherwise it is a nice place - clean locker rooms, and that's the only reason I gave it 2 stars at all.

It's a good place to work out, but they have a lot of "desk" people who are just hanging out, it doesn't seem like is their job. They should observe and assist the paying CUSTOMERS who often do not know how to do the exercises, as well as the many people who are chatting or using their phones on the machines and prevent others from using them who really want to work out. But the staff doesn't realize it, as they are also chatting among themselves. Equipment should be updated as well

I joined about 2 months ago. So far it has been a positive experience. Staff are friendly and helpful.
However, the janitorial staff needs to clean the men’s bathroom showers better and women staff should not brazenly be getting into the men’s bathroom before their official closing hours of 11 pm on weekdays. I’ve seen her in there while almost naked or dressing up by 10 pm - that’s bad and is disrespectful for the men still using the facility.

Literally, they turned the AC off to the basketball court! Why? Because they were trying to discourage players from using the court! I'm in League City, Texas, and the management posted a sign on the door that the basketball court would be closing on a certain date. They were planning on eliminating their basketball court altogether. There was a nearby location opening up, so many of us hung on hoping that they were going to keep the court in the other location. Their management never would commit to whether they were going to keep the court in that particular location or not.

Months went by, and many of the guys I play basketball with kept their memberships hoping that they were going to open a court at the new location. Turns out they took the court out of that location as well! Management never told anyone though! I personally drove by and stuck my head in while they were remodeling the facility! They'd already pulled the wood floor out! Formerly, it was a 24-hour fitness. LA Fitness intentionally led many of its members on just so they could keep the membership active, knowing full well that they intended to eliminate the basketball courts altogether!

This is a sorry company out of California and they need to stay there!

It's a really nice gym!. I'm just not sure why a gym of this caliber cannot be 24 hours. You already have all the implementation. All you need is a door scanner and to handout certain cards to people. I've seen gyms with way less budget have this feature and it's just nice to be able to go to the gym on my time.

But that's the only downside is that I have to go to the gym when the gym is at operating hours which fluctuates day by day depending on if it's the weekend or weekday

Joined four weeks ago. Two adults and a child on a guest pass. First day in on MLK with both kids went to bathroom, got a trainer yelling at me kids cant be back there, daughter was old enough to be there but he never asked her age. Triggered her anxiety so bad she never wanted to go back. Manager confronted said we didn't pay for kid zone but would be fixed because of the bad experience. Went back in, and it wasn't fixed. then a further $175 got billed to us. Spouse canceled membership after we paid over $400 with them saying we didnt pay the full registration fees plus first and last month. Found out the man who confronted us was the manager and he never did his job or fixed anything. Piss poor customer service and the one time I took my 5 year old into the kid zone he ended up peeing himself because the lady attendant wouldn't talk to him or help him find the bathroom.

When they “updated” this gym, they got rid of some good equipment, didn’t replace it and cut off the basketball court and made it a useless cash grab you have to pay extra for, to only be able to go into for classes that don’t exist. You can’t even go in there to use the fan bikes. They literally tore that place to shreds. Other than being able to deadlift, and the new machines, that is the worst LA Fitness anywhere around Houston.

I went from my work off 96 drove back to my house in Dickinson to pick my husband up so that we could work out together only to find a note on the door advising that the doors are locked now at 6pm. I went to the club to get a quick work out on 10/29/23 shortly after 6PM (the gym closes at 7PM). The door was locked and the receptionist opened the door and told me that they don’t allow entrance after 6PM. I had a terrible experience here. My best friend recommended me here and initially I was excited to try LA Fitness again. Unfortunately that feeling lasted very little because I found out we were paying very different prices for the same gym. I went back and asked for clarification but instead I was asked to provide my best friends phone number. Two gym associate members showed me her personal information. One was at the front desk as soon as you walk in and the other was done by Howard, the sales manager. He the swiveled the computer screen out for me and anyone behind me to see my best friend’s personal information. They violated her private and confidential information. There’s cameras at the front so they’ll verify this. I’m very disillusioned with how I was treated; being brushed aside for weeks and no one calling me with an answer. I just kept seeing payments taken from my account, after I had specifically informed them that I was not interested in a membership anymore. Please be aware that your information might not be safe here. As a woman, I am terrified that this was allowed to happen. No one called to apologize for how the situation was handled. I had to call and visit in person multiple times, and even then I was ignored. I finally got lucky today and was able to speak with someone, only to be told I would not be given a refund for services I didn’t use because I was scared my personal information would also be disclosed. The nursery is a selling point for many that need to workout but have family or single moms and dads. This location has the worst staff for the kids section, I have yet had an opportunity to do a complete workout. The staff just sits in the kids place and chats, they don’t tend to the kids. This gym is extremely nasty. They do not clean the floors or the equipment and the benches are so torn they scratch your skin. They are literally putting no money into the gym to keep it nice. We are canceling our membership.

Incompetent management. Devin the manager is an incompetent manager that just argues down customers. He has extremely poor social and customer service skills. Having THAT guy as a manager of ANYTHING is a foolish decision that only a foolish person would make. The lights are always off in the boxing area and you have to go up to the front desk to ask them to turn the lights on every 30 minutes. This location isn't worth the money simple as that. It's a dump, just like the town it's located in. So it all makes sense now.

Saw a couple of incorrect reviews first one with the signs claiming discrimination for rich people. That area you took pictures of is the PERSONAL TRAINING AREA. Every gym has one. It’s a space separate from the rest of the gym floor where people who pay for 1 on 1 training and instruction workout with a trainer.

And someone said this closes early actually they have always closed a 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday because League City requires them to. It’s on they schedule inside the location. Goigle will show the hours that most locations use. This gym is a great place.

Used to love LA fitness but this place has definitely become rundown. Some of the machines have been down for months, and when a machine breaks it takes them forever to fix it. You would think with how many people are paying for memberships here they could easily afford to fix the machines. After having my membership for over 10 years here I will be cancelling this month to go to the new golds gym down the road. They dont have a sauna like la fitness does, but atleast the gym equipment is all working

I have been attending this gym for about a year and a half now and absolutely LOVE IT! The workouts are great. The coaches are all amazing people and are great at ensuring safety and fun while motivating you to do more. Highly recommend and the membership is more than worth it.

Horrible customer service a high price considering the really old rusty machines and equipment overly packed you have to wait in line to get a spot , people are very aggressive and rude , would not recommend anyone to visit . They fire their employees all the time that shows how they treat their customers if they can’t treat their employees right . I’ve been a custom for 5 months and I am very disappointed. I really hope cooperate sees this and contact me .

I went to this gym I had a membership and I enjoy my time there. They have a lot of equipment and offer classes for every taste. They have racquetball and basketball courts. Only thing is that when I want to play basketball sometimes I had it close for maintenance for giving out some other classes.

Best club ever! I've been to about 100 LA clubs across the nation and this one was the best. Manager was easily recognizable, 4 lane pool, clean, all machines worked and they had the new bottle filler water fountains. Thanks!
