Worst customer service ever. There are a couple of unprofessional and rude staff (one of their names go by Christina) sitting at the front desk. Good for nothing and they made us wait for an hour. Cancelled my membership today. There is a an EOS fitness center starting across the highway 6 with way better amenities, 24 hours open, less fees and regulations on guest privileges. Planning to join there !!

Had an awesome experience at this location. I was in from out of town and Mark hooked me up with a guest pass and a quick tour. Super friendly and knowledgeable guy. Not many like him honestly in the fitness world.

My family and I have been members here for the last few months. Three issues I've ran into. Apparently a little over a month ago there was a big fight at the basketball court. The hours were cut for the court for about a month at both locations (near Riverstone and Sienna) which was a huge inconvenience especially since it was in the Summer (my child was not able to enjoy the court). Keep in mind, we were not at the gym when this happened, nor were we formally notified of the incident outside of the notice that was plastered on the court door. What I didn't like was we were penalized for this. Of course we weren't compensated in any way. (Our son plays basketball, which is why we added him to our account.)

Second issue happened yesterday within 5 minutes of me arriving to the gym. While sitting on the turf, I was approached by the Operations Manager (black lady) and was told that I couldn't have my tripod out at all even if i'm not recording. I informed the lady I was reading my workout at the time because I had just began stretching. She was extremely direct, non-compassionate, and somewhat rude. I said okay and she walked away. I then noticed one of their trainers recording his client, and I walked to the desk and told them how is that allowed? She said he was doing his job. The other trainer that was sitting at the desk also included herself to explain the difference between the trainer recording and my tripod being up. I walked away. We will be canceling our membership. I don't like the culture of the gym, and none of the trainers or staff appears to be in shape outside of 2 people.. but I know that's none of my business.

The battle ropes have been out of commission for over a week, and a couple of the rooms have been under construction with no work being done on them for the entire duration of our membership, yet we're being charged for a fully operational facility experience.

Terrible gym, they keep cutting all services. They have cancelled all spinning classes, apparently due to cost concerns. The workout equipment breaks all the time, many of the weight machines do not work. The staff have no regard for customer's needs. There are plenty of better options in the area.

Fantastic Staff at LA Fitness – Houston Location

I’ve had an awesome experience at this LA Fitness thanks to the incredible staff — Kizzy, Ella, and Mark. Each of them brings something unique to the gym that really makes it stand out.

Kizzy is always welcoming and upbeat. She keeps the front desk running smoothly and greets everyone with a smile. Her positive attitude sets the tone the moment you walk in.

Ella is knowledgeable and super helpful on the fitness floor. She’s always available to answer questions, help with equipment, or offer great workout tips. You can tell she genuinely cares about helping members reach their goals.

Mark is professional, friendly, and keeps the facility clean and organized. Whether it’s helping out with machines or ensuring everything runs efficiently, he’s always on top of things.

Was very excited for the opening of this gym and went today for the first time. The equipment is great, the staff have been wonderful, but the lack of internet is killing me! There's no data coverage in this area and the gym doesn't have it's own member's wifi for some reason, and most people don't exercise without listening to Spotify or YouTube these days so what gives?? Will upgrade my review to 5 stars if wifi is provided in the future.

Canceled all my four memberships. The lady manager is a lier and super rude. Place is a wreck. Half of their machines are broke! No paper towels on regular basis. Just attitude from all staff. I signed up with lifetime and don’t mind paying extra to see a smiling manager when I walk in instead of ignorant manager every afternoon.

I recently visited this new fitness center and was impressed by its modern design and cleanliness. Everything looks fresh, stylish, and well-organized. The gym is equipped with many brand-new machines, and the pool is definitely a highlight — clean and inviting.

However, I found the group workout room to be a bit small. It feels a little tight during classes, and the air doesn’t circulate very well, which adds to the feeling of limited space. In comparison to other gyms, the group area here feels more compact, and the acoustics make the music sound louder than it should.

Overall, it’s a great gym with quality facilities, a good pool, and excellent equipment. With a bit more space and better ventilation in the group workout area, it would be close to perfect.

We love the three lane 25-yard pool with clean and nicely tempered water at 84 F degrees. Great for lap swim since the lanes are much wider than let’s say at YMCA or other public pools. Plus spacious whirlpool and wet and dry sauna. Of course, a lot of machines for workout, even that’s not my thing. However, I watch people on Matrix elevators go to workout heaven, while dipped up to ears in the bubbling water. The whole wet area is exquisitely clean as well.

Ms Dupree operation manager was made aware of problems including it not limited to: no paper towels, no sanitation wipes and dirty/unsanitary conditions.
Instead of addressing the issues, she turns it around on me and tells me that she’s not worried about it doesn’t bother her and goes on and on about all kinds of crazy dramatic stuff. She finished off by saying that I didn’t have to come to this location if I don’t like it exactly the opposite attitude needed to be a good operations manager.
Ms Dupree’s combative, and argumentative disposition definitely makes me feel unwelcome here it’s the closest one to me, but I will definitely make it a point to start going to another location

try to get in touch with the regional Director, but evidently they forwarded the information to the Director over this area
Upon talking to her, it was clear and evident that she was totally going to cover up for Mrs. Dupree. Apparently, the operation manager can talk to customers, however she wants with immunity
But I will follow Mr. Dupree advice and go to another location where I don’t have to deal with drama, dirty looks or be insulted.
Really like the people at this location, but I look at my gym as a place to recharge and unwind not to deal with drama

Despite the prompt action taken by your front desk staff to create a case, there has been a troubling delay in reviewing the security footage that could easily clarify this situation.

I passed by twice this week but this location is still closed. I understand the hurricane situation but this branch lacks any form of communication (no active social media account) to its customers and it's a waste of time driving to this place only to find out it's still closed.

Additionally, the gym itself is clean and well maintained. However, there are only two squat racks in this place. I suggest adding more squat racks and benches for the free weights since a lot of members tend to occupy that area.

Overall, it's a good gym. The staff are friendly and accommodating, their gym equipments are well maintained, and the place is clean. A big factor that affects the score is because of the lack of communication which I think is very important for any business.

Posting this to say that LA Fitness has really disappointed me. It is now DAY 9 after a Cat 1 Hurricane (Beryl) and both locations in my area are still closed! The stores all around and on BOTH SIDES of these locations have now been open for SEVERAL days and life has normalized for everyone else! There are no signs on the doors telling customers what is going on whatsoever. When I call both locations, there is no message to explain what is going on and what to expect. This is unacceptable. I will sign up with Lifetime now as they have been open for a week and have communicated with their clients throughout, letting them know that they are open and welcome clients to come. People use their gym as a place to get away and decompress and I have really needed it in the past week. LA Fitness has failed me and all of its customers. Being closed immediately following a hurricane and while without power is certainly excusable and to be expected. Staying closed well after having power and then not communicating with your customers as to why and what to expect, while all the other businesses and gyms in the immediate area have resumed business is NOT excusable.

For the past 2 days, I’ve received messages such as the attached via my LA Fitness app and for the past 2 days the gym has not been open, despite every business in that same shopping complex having power. Folks want to get back into their normal routine and this may entice folks to seek out other gyms since others have been open (I.e. Dynamic Fitness, Lifetime, 24Hour etc).

As it pertains to the gym, yes it is one of the smaller branches and yes there is unused space; it’s been open 1yr now so don’t know why there is so much unused space.

I've been to LA gyms across the nation and this one Hands-down worse LA Fitness I've been to, they barely have any machines, bench's, squat racks, etc. they have three unused rooms that have been vacant ever since I started attending . All of their basketballs are morphed ; they don't even have a fraction of equipment handles / grips that others do. The music is terrible and so is the atmosphere. If you're looking for a nap, this is a great place. The patrons (respectfully) are predominantly, elderly, and high school students. It's unfortunate This is the closest one . I write this review after attending for over a year and a half. I tried to give it a chance but I see why the staff is a revolving door.

Edit: They now close their doors at 7pm on weekends. Well, technically it’s 8pm but if you arrive at 7pm they won’t allow entry. That was the icing on the cake as to why I’m giving the gym a 1 star instead of 2. If they’re short staffed, maybe they should figure out why the employee retention rate is the way it is internally without bleeding their issues on to the their paying customers.

Honest feedback as a member for about a year: I was expecting the club to be a lot nicer and bigger for it being located in Sienna. This goes out to management. The layout of the gym was poorly planned out, it's TOO small for the amount of people they're trying to get in there. The equipment isn't so great here either, only two squat racks, one row of weights, one smith machine, barely enough benches. The cardio machines take up a majority of the space. There are so many empty large rooms that are not being used in that facility which could hold more equipment for the members. Everyone here looks so unmotivated to workout and I just don't look forward to my workouts here but unfortunately it's my only option at the moment. The plus side is, the new workers are kind and sweet, I hope they stay around longer that the last set of employees. The restrooms and the ground floors of the gym are kept relatively clean. I wish they did have better sanitary stations as I feel the hand sanitizer and the moist towelettes are cheap.

Inadequate sanitation stations, Wifi issues, staff turnover has been tremendous, sauna and steam room are always broken. Group fitness class instructors are not great. Very low energy in the classes and sound systems are not good. With so much competition in the area, LA fitness needs to read these reviews and make some serious changes. This is unlike any LA Fitness I've been to. First it's small, really small. I understand it was going to be a 24hr fitness initially. The selection of weight machines and the number of them are very small. They have rooms with nothing going on in them. They could add additional weight machines. The staff turnover is high it appears. The gym is usually clean. The sauna only has a timer for 5min, that's unbelievable.

They put 0 effort into this LA fitness. Being in Sienna i thought it would be bigger with nicer equipment, but its the opposite. This is by far the smallest LA fitness in this general area. They set a new rule where you cant enter the gym an hour before closing, and this is not on the website. You will be greeted with a worker just sitting at the front basically waving you off. This gym closes at 7 on weekends and 10 on weekdays because you cant enter afterwards. I use to really like LA fitness. This location solely made me cancel my membership.

There is only one machine for the popular weight machines. . The time it takes waiting for those who surf their phone while sitting on this equipment to finally get off is infuriating. Management (Kaitlin) does not feel the need to stop phone surfing while people take up the few machines in the gym.
Even though there is plenty of staff, no staff seems able to tear themselves anyway from horsing around at the desk in order to monitor the area for trash, empty saniwipe containers, and very rude behavior by other gym members. There is constantly no free weights because there are the “privileged” few who believe that removing all the free weights and carrying them to the other side of the gym, then not returning them is ok. Staff is not motivated enough to make sure that the weights are returned to their proper places.
And, as a female, I’d love to take a sauna. But when I opened the sauna door and saw, sweating men stripped to the waist, I almost fainted. On what planet does a gym have men in a sauna with women? This is so uncomfortable and inappropriate, I can’t imagine who thinks this is ok.
I’m so frustrated that I cancelled my membership today and went somewhere else.

This gym is often clean. The equipment is new and they’re on top of maintenance if needed. The sauna and steam room often shuts down like every 3 months. Expect 2 weeks for repairs to be made. The pool maintenance is on top of their stuff. Staff members are generally approachable and friendly. The front desk workers are cool, and the Shake Sum staff make great smoothies. Definitely recommend this gym for the price you pay. Meets your basic needs.

Terrible customer service. I was accidentally charged twice for the re accuring and the woman at the front desk stating that she was the manager was extremely rude not only to me but my mother and said that it was my fault. And that i couldn't be refunded, i called LA Fitness services and was taken care of in a matter of minutes. Really hope people consider before applying a membership here. The customer service deserves a zero star if it possible to give them one. My brother calls in to take me and mom off the guests list because we’re leaving town at the end of the month, and asked the person on the phone if it was okay to cancel and still come into the gym for the remainder of the month and he got the okay so he canceled. Today we went in and was stopped at the front desk because we had canceled that we’re not allowed in. We told the front desk clerk what had happened and she says “yeah that person was new so she probably made a mistake but we can’t do anything about it., im also the general manager” and before we said anything she says we can give you a refund. Like we came for a refund, we were being dishonest for a refund. I felt like a simple fix of giving us the days on the system, it was only for 4 more days that me and my mom was staying in town. She couldn’t do that as the general manager. I hope they reconsider her position because the attitude she portrayed towards a customer who paid for the service was unacceptable. Like she was trying to make us seem like liars and embarrass us in public. Me, my brother and mom are being punished for a mistake that one of the employees had made. I guess they would rather give money back instead of trying to keep a customer. That general manager definitely has a power trip.

For this to be a new gym, the sauna and steam room is always closed. Either they are broke or down for cleaning. People come in the Morgan’s like to start the workout with either or. The cleaning team should be there during non gym hours to have everything clean. It’s an inconvenience to drive more miles to the next gym for a working sauna when we live next to one already. Changed need to be made asap.

I recently joined LA Fitness with high hopes of finding a top-notch gym experience. Unfortunately, my experience with this supposedly "brand new" gym has been nothing short of a disappointment. Despite being open for just four months, the condition of the facility and the lack of available amenities make it far from the premium gym it claims to be.

One of the most frustrating aspects of my membership has been the state of the equipment. Instead of finding a well-maintained range of machines, I have encountered numerous issues. Some machines are out of order or require repairs, which limits the variety of exercises available. It's frustrating to pay a monthly membership fee of $45 and not have access to essential equipment. This lack of attention to detail is simply unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the climate control within the gym seems to be a recurring problem. The air conditioning system frequently malfunctions, making the workout environment uncomfortably hot and stuffy. When you're pushing your limits during a workout, the last thing you need is to be battling against stifling temperatures. It's disappointing that such a fundamental aspect of a fitness facility has been neglected, especially in a new gym.

Another letdown is the unreliable Wi-Fi connection. In an age where technology plays a significant role in fitness tracking, streaming workouts, and accessing online resources, a functional Wi-Fi network is essential. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi at LA Fitness is often slow, unreliable, or simply nonexistent. This inconvenience disrupts the seamless integration of technology and fitness, hindering members' ability to make the most out of their workouts.

Lastly, the sauna, advertised as a relaxing amenity, has become a symbol of broken promises. Despite the gym being relatively new, the sauna is frequently out of order or not working at all. It's disheartening to pay for a membership that includes sauna access, only to find it perpetually unavailable.

Overall, my experience at LA Fitness has been marred by a consistent lack of attention to detail and a failure to meet even the basic expectations of a gym. From malfunctioning machines to ineffective air conditioning, unreliable Wi-Fi, and a non-functioning sauna, it's clear that this facility is not living up to its promises. I strongly urge potential members to reconsider investing their hard-earned money into a gym that fails to provide the services and amenities they advertise.

Was a great gym until today. My wife was kicked out the gym by Kaitlyn because sue said I needed to be present in order for my wife to work out. I had been a member for 6 months and had not once been told this. When we initially signed up they told us my wife could workout as long as I just sign her in. She claims to have been there since the gym opened however this is the first time I had seen her face. She was extremely rude over the phone and disrespectful to my wife and embarrassed her in public yelling at her and kicking her out of the gym in front of everyone. I asked to speak to her manager and she said there’s nobody I can talk to other than her. I’m canceling my membership because of Kaitlyn and her extremely rude attitude and lack of professionalism towards handling the situation. If this is how your management acts and you guys are okay with this then maybe consider a different business because the way she spoke to us was out of line.

If you want a sane place to lift or do cardio, this is a good choice. Compared to other gyms, the staff is helpful and clientele are polite. Unless you go during the obvious busy times of the week, you can get in your workout and get out fairly quickly.

I have been coming for 11 weeks straight and this is what bothers me… it’s DIRTY! Dirt, dust and filth is visible on the floor. Nobody vacuums. When I arrive at 5am the machines have dried up sweat on them, weights are not re-racked and all of the med balls are deflated. When Lifetime opens I will definitely cancel my membership. Also the LA fitness in Missouri city was always clean.

The gym has great equipment and is very clean. The staff are very nice and hospitable , the cleaning crew does an incredible job. All around great gym, however the reason I no longer go there is because of the kids. Too many kids, parents seem to use it as a daycare to drop them off. They are inconsiderate and lack any form of courtesy. It’s unfortunate because the gym staff isn’t able to do anything about it.

If this gym allows only adults 25+, I’ll come back.

Low-budget men's bathroom amenities. No swimsuit shaker to remove water, no scale weigh yourself, no blow dryers for your hair or hands, and no fan inside leads to a very hot and humid experience when changing back into street clothes!!! Additionally WIFI is sketchy inside the pool sauna areas.

Just like all other LA Fitness; cannot maintain the facility. Men's showers literally do not have hot water about 1/3 of the time; while, the hot tub has so much chlorine that your skin drys out, turning red.

This isn’t like your typical LA fitness gym. The exterior should make that obvious. Single floor. No complaints structure wise.

Staff are friendly but always busy.

Right behind check in are the rows of cardio machines. Mostly treadmills and elipticals. 2 stair masters. A few other not so commonly used cardio machines.

Their signature turf area is clean and is set up for your typical CrossFit style workouts (no barbell weights in this area). There is an ab bench and row machine in this area along with a few kettlebells. Good area to just warm up and cool down.

The next section is full of cable machines for various muscle groups. Multiple machines for pec deck, lat pulls, abs and seated rows. They are not necessarily the exact same machine. 2 each for leg extension and hamstring curls. One machine for deltoid lateral raises. I have noticed that at least one of the cable machines are always having an issue and is under repair.

There are more plate loaded equipments (one each) for certain muscle groups - lat pull down, rows, incline and decline pec press, overhead shoulder raise, calves, triceps.

There are two racks with platforms. Platform area can be used for deadlifts. One rack is four post equivalent and one is a half rack style. They are placed in front of mirrors so you can easily check form.

There are two functional trainers. With all necessary attachments. Next to it is a standard smith machine.

Dumbbell section is great. Two sets of each weight from 5 to 100 pounds. Weights go up in 2.5 lb increment up to 55 lbs and then in 5 lb increments. Placed in front of mirror wall. There are multiple adjustable benches in the area which are bolted to the ground. There is one adjustable bench and one decline bench which may be moved as needed.

There are three stations for flat bench press barbell, one station for decline barbell bench press, one soft incline barbell bench press and one station for barbell overhead press. Two preacher curl sections with ez curl barbell present. Multiple straight and ez curl fixed weight barbell machines available as well.

Basketball court(half), spin class area and an open area for other classes or stretching are available. Swimming pool area also available. There is a unisex sauna available. The changing area is big with lockers (must bring own locks) and clean. Bathroom and shower area also present. Clean and no complaints just like any other LA Fitness.

WiFi is spotty.

TL;DR
Just like any other LA fitness for the most part. Ample equipment. Apart from the dumbbell area the mirrors are practically useless unless you want to pose in front of it. This is a drawback for those of us who workout alone and learn from YouTube if we want to check our form. If the plate loaded machines were arranged a bit different we could have made use of mirror to check form better. The preacher curl stations are placed in such a way that one is blocked by the rack so can’t use mirror.
This won’t be a negative if you are not new to working out or if you have a friend or trainer to tell you how it’s done. Basically not too friendly to newbies who come alone to gym and are serious about weight training with proper form.

Quendric is absolutely amazing. I showed up with 2 other people to all sign up for an annual membership and he gave us a tour and endured all of my questions. He is professional, knowledgeable, funny and encouraging. I'm so glad he helped us because he wasn't judgmental at all and gave me lots of advice about my goals. He assured me as well that if anyone harasses me, he will handle the situation and make sure all his guests are safe. He truly is a valuable asset to LA fitness and the sienna location is extremely lucky to have him.

This location is nice and clean, but then, it is new. I like coming here, however, I have two comments.
1) Why is a male person cleaning the women's bathroom? I have a tight schedule and sometimes I cannot do that much in the bathroom because this person is there.
2) In comparison with other locations, the pressure of the showers is very low. Hopefully, this can be improved because it takes forever to rinse my hair.

The facilities were adequate and the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. If you try to cancel your membership BEWARE! you will have to do so on their terms, in person M-F 8-5 which makes it difficult if you hold a job during those hours. Tried to cancel over the phone and was told they needed to verify my identity so I went in when I was able and the lady at the front desk was nice enough to verify my identity with a note to be processed on Monday. I received a call Monday morning saying I had to come back in to cancel. Very upsetting, and I still haven't received a refund for the 2 months I never went to work out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM!!A

Was very excited to have a gym closer to my home but this one MISSED THE MARK! It’s small, which is ok with me but it’s not enjoyable to be here since there’s a Wi-Fi or internet signal in the gym. I’ve never experienced such low signal anywhere and I can’t listen to music while I workout which completely messes up my vibe. When asked, staff have no idea when we will get internet. This is very dangerous to me because in the event of an emergency, gym goers at this location are sitting ducks…no way to contact anyone.

The la fitness in sugerland is way better for the price we paying .very disappointed. Upon entering, everything is new, fresh and clean. The workers that I have met have been nice. A lot of them are super young and their business relations with the patrons has not yet been totally developed. This will be something that management can work on with them in order to enhance the customer service experience. The locker rooms are clean and I have noticed that they have a cleaning crew that is actively cleaning. The shower area is nice, but more hooks are needed on the outside of the stalls. The pool area is nice, but I wish there were separate Saunas for men and women. On one occasion, I noticed the sauna with several men in it. A lot of women, who would also like to use the sauna, would not feel comfortable entering a sauna with several men. LA Fitnesss at this location missed the mark on this part of the set up. An incident waiting to happen. Overall; the equipment is nice and new and I can’t wait to see what they do with the additional rooms not yet open. It’s still a work in progress. Also; the juice bar/smoothie bar is not there yet, but I was told there would be one. So, thus far it’s good. More to come.

Called many times over past few months and never got a reply or call back. Opening date was postponed over 3 months with no notice to members. No WiFi, no Smoothie bar, no sauna. There’s an infinitely better LA fitness just 2 miles away that has WiFi, a Smoothie King, much more space, better equipment, better parking, and an even larger Specs next door (if that sort of thing interests you). There really is no point in coming here unless you wish to be disappointed. 1/5 because google won’t let me do 0/5.

UPDATED:

Went to the gym for the first time this evening (8pm) and I was impressed with how much they have in there in the small amount of space. The LA Fitness further down on HWY 6 is a lot bigger, but this gym definitely has most (if not all) the equipment you need. I can definitely see it getting tough to get certain machines or benches once more people start to gravitate to this location.

FYI: I didn’t see a sauna in the ladies locker room but I did see a gentleman in what looked like a sauna in the pool area - so I’m not sure if that’s the sauna and it’s unisex?? Or if there is a separate one for women because it definitely wasn’t in the ladies locker room.

Also, there is no smoothie place in the gym, unlike the one further down on Hwy 6; however there is still an area that looks empty towards the front - maybe a potential spot for a smoothie place - don’t quote me on that!

Lastly, no Wi-Fi. I didn’t read the other reviews before heading in.. so I was stuck listening to the same songs on my phone that I had downloaded. With all the postponement of the opening, Wi-Fi definitely could have been installed. Cmon now…

I didn’t really interact with the staff too much, but you could definitely see a few of them were walking around cleaning and sanitizing - which is definitely appreciated!

Overall, really happy with the gym - you can definitely tell they are still working on some areas but nevertheless I love the fact that this place is a lot closer to where I live!

I’m typically a morning gym person so I can’t account for what the gym is like in the morning, but again, I went around 8pm and it was pretty easy to get to machines and not crowded in the slightest.
