Liked being greeted by Robert and Aquanetta in the morning. Needed to recover from leg surgery, and Liz (personal trainer) was able to speed the process, and I lost weight (bonus). I thought I knew everything before training, but I learned new ways to build up. Liz pushed past what I thought were my limits, but they were just mental limits.

I've been training at this gym for a few months now. The staff has always been kind. When machines break they fix them reasonably fast. I've never seen issues with the Pool Sauna or Hot Tub. In general the equipment is well maintained. My only gripe is it's too popular. I'm often waiting for equipment to free up.

I’ve been coming to this gym consistently at 5 a.m., right when it opens, and while I appreciate the convenience and the energy of the place, there’s one major issue that I really hope management addresses. The gym is often quite busy, which is understandable, but the problem is that the weights are never re-racked.

Every morning, I find myself hunting for dumbbells all over the gym—sometimes they’re by the machines, sometimes in the functional training area, anywhere but where they belong. It’s really frustrating and eats into my limited workout

This LA Fitness is great! They have everything you need to get a good workout and they have plenty of machines so you don’t have to wait on others to get your work in. Plus they have a bunch of classes, a pool, saunas and a Pilates studio! The manager Jason was amazing! He had a great attitude and demeanor and answered all the questions I had about the gym before joining. Definitely recommend all my friends and family to become members

Just joined and a recap of my experience in the last week. The machines are like any other gym. 3-4 stars as most work and are clean enough.

Where LA Fitness falls short is their personnel. First time trying to sign up, the woman at the front desk couldn’t find my account and told me to come back the next day to figure out my barcode. There was someone working that day that knew better. At the last minute she told me I could workout, but didn’t have the friendliest attitude.

The front desk area seems to have an over abundance of employees not doing much. They could take half the staff that are up front and when it s not busy, have them police the area to put up weights that are out of place or clean some machines. (Some machines are in need of a wipe down/dusting) And lastly, fixing the small lockers that are locked with the doors open near the front area and locker rooms.

In the last 2 days, we have received 7 calls from LA fitness to welcome us, which wasn’t much of a welcome on my call, but a Segway into taking advantage of my “benefits”. This was an easily sensed attempt to push personal training masked with a half hearted, how’s your day before it.

There are no pre, intra, or post workout nutritional options in the club aside from a half stocked vending machine. Easiest solvable miss in revenue and customer satisfaction if I’ve ever seen one.

As mentioned earlier, the machines work; however, nearly none of the TVs on the cardio equipment do. I’ve tried multiple over the last 3 visits and only found one that works with some channels.

The prosper location is nice and glad to hear some updates are being made to modernize workout classes with reformers and a glute room. It’d be nice to see the same upkeep done for the rest of the gym.

Uncertain if there’s an operation manager that looks over these things but this is some low hanging fruit to go after.

Last thing I’d suggest is to prohibit your employees in the front from using their AirPods. There’s little welcoming done and most of the employees seem checked out and disengaged when they’re up front using them.

The gym itself is average 3-4 stars, add some towels (paper or washable), and it could elevate it a bit. Hope this helps anyone on the fence.

I have spent the last hour reading all the reviews clients have made about this gym/location and I’m shocked at what I’ve seen. Tons of complains and 1 star reviews that have gone unnoticed and unanswered yet the handful of 4-5 star reviews have ALL BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED. I was on the verge of joining this location since it is close to my home but based on the poor service, lack of respect for dissatisfied members and overall lack of care from what I’ve seen in these reviews, I’ll definitely pass. WOW!😲

Update 2025: WARNING: Whomever is cleaning the locker rooms is unaware of the fact that chlorine and bleach do not mix. All metal surfaces are rusting due to corrosive gasses being created when the locker rooms are cleaned. The chlorine from the pools is mixing with the bleach used in the locker rooms causing the locker rooms to flood with mustard gas.

I recently tried this gym again after a two year hiatus. The equipment has improved. There’s more options. It’s not perfect but it does the job. It definitely gets crowded in the evenings like any other gym. I’m genuinely impressed with the small improvements that have been made. It’s not perfect but it is good enough

2023 - Don’t go here unless you enjoy getting stabbed by rusty cable equipment. Everything is poorly maintained

I really used tolove this location when it first opened and the 1st year, but now it is horrible. It stinks in there, and many of the current clientele come in smelling horrible, and it is nauseating. Also many of the current clientelle sit on machines and play on their phones for 30mins, then pretend to work out if they see you looking. Management really needs to be more diligent it making sure that is not allowed and enforcing cleanliness.

Been going here from the time it opened. It was good initially, less people, no noise, clean and less waiting time!
Now, after 4 PM, it feels like standing in the TSA line during long weekend! 80% of the customer's have ZERO gym etiquette, staff does not care. Few cleaning staff, I guess try their best. But most of the time, you will not find wipes, paper towels etc.
1. Quantity is rising but the quality is sliding!
2. While couple of cleaning staff trying to clean as much as possible:
3. Most of the people coming to gym have zero common sense or gym etiquette!
4. Using multiple equipments simultaneously and then leaving them there itself without re-stacking!
5. Leaving cleaning wipes at the place where to was used without throwing them in the bins!
6. Using mobile for longer during while occupying an equipment!
NOT cleaning the benches or equipments after using them!
7. Guys smoking vape… read again!

1* rating cos staff really don’t seem care about any of these but just adding more members - Quantity Vs Quality!
And there is a sauna, which is good and that's what the single star is for!

I have been to this location almost everyday for the past 18 months. It is a great place to get a work out in. It has everything you need. Equipment is well maintained and staff is friendly. I work out in the morning so I see the early morning staff. They are very friendly and handle any issue that may come up. This is a very busy location so keeping it clean and maintained is always going to be a challenge. The staff is always cleaning in the mornings. If the ownership is looking to make improvements I would look at opening up the area for members to work out. Sometimes there are too many people trying to work out at the same time. The middle area for the staff is too big. Move them into one of the rooms on the side or open the rooms on the side with areas to work out. Remove some of the bikes and elliptical machines and add more treadmills and stairclimbers. I think the mileage will reflect my input based on what I have seen. Keep up the great work!

I sign up for a guest pass for the Prosper location. The email specifically states: Please bring this email to the club and allow us to show you the club and activate your FREE 3-day Guest Pass. We look forward to seeing you soon! It also has a QR code “show for entry” as well as other info regarding the pass.

Well upon arrival I showed the front desk employee the email he then referred me to Victor, I believe. I showed him my email and he asked “did you schedule an appointment?” Ummm no because NO WHERE in the email did it state that I must make an appointment to be shown the facility and go over membership info which I really didn’t care to do. He then said how he arrived to work earlier because he starts at 9, but “wasn’t going to be a jerk” therefore he’ll show me the gym and go over membership info. I personally didn’t want the tour because I’m not new to the gym and very familiar with things. I simply just wanted to work out. BUT he said he had to do it “for liability purposes”

Gave me the tour and then he went over info at the desk. I expressed that because I had to do the tour and sit at the desk with him I’d much rather start my pass tomorrow — he said if I did that then I have to make an appointment, come back, do the tour again and sit to hear about the membership. Are you kidding?! Further, I couldn’t imagine visiting at 5-6am, showing up with this pass and being told I couldn’t workout because he wasn’t there before 9am to give me a tour of the gym and discuss membership. Then he told me that I would need come back to meet with him on Monday “Because that’s when your pass expires”. I asked for the purpose, he said he wanted to get my feedback and then sign me up for a membership. This is ridiculous! I was just done.

I was so excited about the ideal of signing up for a gym membership again but this experience really turned me off. Activated the pass to avoid another tour and having to hear about the membership etc. Day 1 of the pass was not used as I decided to leave after meeting with him. I felt there was no empathy and the tone was very much pushy, ‘it’s my way or the highway’ — And judging by the other poor reviews maybe this experience was a blessing in disguise. I wouldn’t want to pay a high amount to be around this kind of energy.

The LA Fitness off of 380 was so crowded in the evening. The spa was closed and the pool wasn't available due to programs. This location doesn't have a basketball court. Really the only workout facility in north Frisco, north Little Elm, southwest Prosper area.

About 90% of the certain peoples in this gym clearly don’t shower before working out, and it got to the point I vomited — and that’s saying something because I have a strong stomach. Even after it physically affected a good customer, staff did nothing. The place reeks — quite literally. These certain people have made my wife extremely uncomfortable every time we’re here because they stare her down — why don’t you keep your eyes on your own creeps? Management clearly caters to their specific community and ignores everyone else. Equipment isn’t cleaned regularly enough, cleaning supplies aren’t available to clean your equipment like they should be, ventilation is terrible, and management does nothing. I pay good money to work out, not to choke on sweat stench or feel unwelcome in the gym. You can kiss my future business either way goodbye. I hope people read this before they sign up. Go the other direction — as fast as you can. Management: Fix hygiene enforcement, clean properly, improve airflow, tell the creeps to get out — or you’ll keep losing members. For those who get it.. This place is — unAmerican.

This LA Fitness is a joke for what they charge. The gym is constantly out of disinfectant wipes, so the equipment stays filthy. Instead of simply refilling the stations, they like to move them around as if that solves the problem. Bathrooms often don’t even have soap, which is disgusting and completely unhygienic. It’s clear management doesn’t care about basic cleanliness or members’ health. What’s worse is they always have numerous staff sitting at the front just to ensure members are scanning their barcodes instead of fixing these problems. For the amount of money this place takes from its members, it’s unacceptable.

This is the filthy gym I’ve ever been in. I always see people pushing a mop around, but never actually cleaning anything like they push the broom around and don’t even actually pick anything up with it. There’s cobwebs and dust and dirt and grime everywhere because it’s never been cleaned. Absolutely disgusting.

This place is a horrible! I felt that customer needs were ignored, leading to frustration. I went to gym after 9 p.m. to practice dancing when the group class was finished, and then the cleaning lady came in and told me to leave. I waited for an hour after 10 p.m. and they were still cleaning and not letting me in, so I argued with them and complained to the manager.(The gym on weekday closes at 11pm. They should not let stuff clean immediately after 9 p.m. and tell customers to get out.) That was the first time. The second time I got there at a similar time, they were cleaning again. I asked them to come out and they wouldn't, and they still wouldn't allow me to go in and practice. today, I arrived to practice competitive ballroom dances and was met with two cleaning staff entering the gym floor. I asked them to leave, explaining I was practicing. They responded "no English", and continued spraying chemicals on the mirrors while I danced. Though they did not mop the floor this time, the mirror spraying was distracting enough that I had to leave after just 10 minutes. This isn't an isolated incident. I - and others - have reported similar disruptions in the past, yet the issue remains unresolved. A staff member kindly said he'd speak to the manager again, but I am left wondering why this hasn't already been addressed. (I used to use the other two locations on Custer Bridge and Main Street in Frisco and never had this issue once.) I like the fact this gym is close to my home and I want to continue practicing here. But I feel I need a space where my time and focus are respected. I hope the management will take this seriously and implement a clear schedule that protects the member's purchased rights to use the gym.

Fitness wise it has all the equipments which i need. Rush at peak hours like morning and evenings So i go in the afternoons mostly.

Recently management changed or something lack of neatness- bathrooms not neat, reduced wet wipes (reduced from 6 to 3) which we wipe machines (today they dont even have single wipes) this will easily spead diseases. They dont care on if machines are neat or not, but there are people who do care.

Liz is an incredible coach—so inspirational, compassionate, and truly dedicated to her clients. When I shared my breast cancer diagnosis and recovery with her, she showed such understanding and support. After my double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery, I honestly felt like I might never feel healthy again. At another gym, I didn’t receive the same encouragement, but once I found LA Fitness and started taking Liz’s classes, everything changed.

Even after needing to pause for a DIEP Flap surgery, Liz welcomed me back and gave me safe, effective options so I could keep moving forward at my own pace. She always makes sure I feel included and capable, no matter what stage of recovery I’m in. Thanks to her guidance, I’m down nearly 30 pounds with 15 more to go, and I finally feel like myself again. Liz has been such a big part of my healing—physically and mentally—and I am so grateful for her.

I also want to recognize Stefanie, whose Monday class is always a great way to start the week. The instructors here truly work hard for us, and they are the main reason I’ve continued at this gym.

That said, there are a few areas that could use improvement. It would be great if more mats and weights were provided for group fitness classes, as they are often limited. Another concern has been the frequent turnover in operations. Vince was amazing, but since he left, some ongoing issues remain unresolved. I’ve spoken with the new operations manager, Maritza, and her assistant, and I really hope they will be able to address these problems. The instructors deserve the support and resources they need to continue delivering such high-quality classes, and members like myself would greatly benefit as well.

Huge shout out and thanks to all the amazing trainers (Liz, Lindsay, Sue and Shea) They challenge us in every class. Each one has own technique and training ways mix with cardio, strength, and so much fun.

The place is good.. now the restroom are so much clean. Thanks to the cleaning lady who is constantly doing good job. The classes and all the trainers for those classes (power circuits, body works and Zumba) are really nice and they do take efforts to make sure we get good training. The only negative point would be scarcity of the weights in the training classes. We don't have anything above 2 and 5lbs. Wish we had more weight and not have to bring from home and keep in the box there.

Life-Changing Fitness Experience with Liz, Stephanie, and Shea!

I've been consistently attending these three instructors' Body Works classes at LA Fitness in Prosper for a year now, and I can honestly say they have transformed not just my body, but my entire approach to fitness.
Liz teaches Tabata-style classes, Stephanie teaches free-weight circuit training classes, and Shea teaches kickboxing-style classes, all of which are the perfect blend of weight training, squats, high-intensity cardio, and even some martial arts moves that keep every session fresh and challenging. All three have this incredible ability to push you to your limits while making sure everyone works at their own pace and fitness level. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, they provide modifications and encouragement that make you feel successful every single class.

What sets them apart:
They're genuinely invested in every participant's progress
They'll kick your butt with a smile, and somehow you'll thank them for it!

The class atmosphere is phenomenal - everyone is supportive and encouraging. There's no judgment, just a group of people cheering each other on. I leave every session with my heart pumping, muscles burning, and riding that amazing dopamine high that keeps me coming back.

This LA Fitness has a good setup. Plenty of equipment and a welcoming vibe. But honestly, the highlight of my experience here has been training with Liz.

Liz doesn’t just throw random exercises at you, she notices the details, explains the “why,” and makes sure the workouts fit what I actually need. Because of that, I’ve seen real improvements beyond the gym - better posture, less stiffness, and more energy day-to-day.

I also attend her Total Body group class, and it’s awesome. She manages to keep a whole room motivated without it ever feeling like a drill. The class pushes you, but it’s also fun - you leave tired, but in the best way.

What I really appreciate is that she makes fitness feel personal and sustainable, whether it’s one-on-one or in a group setting. Definitely not your cookie-cutter trainer.

LA Fitness seriously lacks professionalism and basic moral values. My access was randomly revoked without
explanation, and it took multiple frustrating calls to get it restored. The staff were consistently rude and dismissive, showing no interest in resolving the issue.

Even after I canceled my membership, I was still charged. Trying to get a refund was a nightmare—constant runaround with no accountability. Their customer service is one of the worst I’ve encountered—unhelpful, apathetic, and hard to reach.

Save yourself the trouble. There are far better gyms out there that actually respect their members.

Have put off leaving a review for a few months now. They keep asking for reviews and keep getting disappointed so here it is. They have consistently run low or out of soap in the locker room and showers. Today (July 25th) there is NO soap in the building. Staff tells me they have been out since Monday (21st). That is disgusting and a huge health hazard. I don’t understand how they can run out of something so simple and not think to run across the street to Kroger and buy some to tide them over. All this gym cares about is sales and signing up new customers. Beyond that they put no effort into cleaning or customer service. I have been a regular at the gym since November. My personal trainers have changed my life and I am addicted now! Only ONE time in the past 8 months has the front desk person acknowledged me and spoke to me when checking in. I was so shocked I turned around and thanked her. I receive monthly surveys from LA Fitness asking about front desk experience and cleanliness. I don’t know if anyone actually reads these surveys but no changes have been made. If they expect guests to be greeted (as the survey questions ask about that experience) then they should train and expect their staff to do it, or stop asking me how it was! They need to hire at least one more cleaner to keep the locker rooms clean and sanitized. But also need to provide the soap and supplies to be able to do it. Very few times have i felt like it was actually clean. They put all efforts into signing folks up and ignore you after that. I hope this review is seen by the right person and action is taken. I will update or even remove it if that happens. I have tried talking to them on multiple occasions without success. I left a message for the manager this morning so waiting to see if he returns my call.

Fix the treadmills! They go months broken. Not just the one's completely out of operation but the ones that are rough each step, loud, or tilted one way or another.

Put some shades on the ceiling windows above the front desk and on the west side, so that it doesn't blind people on the treadmill in the afternoon/evening.

Fix the internet it is so slow, even in slow hours.

Get another custodian on the weekend. It gets so dirty! Don't cheap out on the people keeping this place clean because they are hard workers and are THE difference between a nasty gym and clean one. The cleaning ladies you do have are top tier and deserve every penny.

Fix the sinks in the men's bathroom. They are getting clogged all the time.

This place is absolutely packed during the weekdays in the evening. Literally the whole parking lot is full. You have the money but you arent reinvesting it into what makes you money.

Otherwise, the gym is worth the membership. I wish it wasn't $50 a month but if it gets taken care of then why not? I have been a member for around 2 years and I will continue to work out here but yea I just wish this place was taken care of more.

I have been going to this LA Fitness for over a year. There has been an overall decline in the quality and cleanliness of this facility. The focus seems to be more on increasing membership and less on providing a quality gym experience for their patrons. The swimming pool area has gotten to be ridiculous. It looks to me like they don’t know how to maintain a pool. Routinely, the pool is overfilled. Cleanliness of the whole gym is just not there. The staff needs to be policing the facility instead of sitting behind the desk or selling memberships. A lot of people sit on the weight machines doing nothing. This place is completely overrun with people and it makes the gym experience miserable. I definitely do not recommend.

At the time of enrollment, I was told that I will have the flexibility of downgrading my membership whenever I want but when I went there today, they didn’t downgrade the membership and said that they cannot do it. Edit: They finally fixed the Jacuzzi so back to 3 stars, the other problem still remains, my suggestion would be to scrap the cycling room and fill it with more equipment as I've seen multiple gyms do this across the states, select equipment like a pull down machine, Dumbbell rack and other items that are the most used to kill the lines for equipment

I have never had to write a disappointed review on any business but today is the day. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is place horrible, very disappointing. First off, various machines across the place are consistently broken and are never timely fixed. The sauna is never operational and is so dirty and disgusting and i am convinced it has never once been cleaned. Instead of a gym I feel like I’m walking into a decrepit hood house in downtown Bronx. The pool is practically unusable for members because of the constant swim classes that take place. The staff constantly bothers you about getting membership referrals from your friends and family. Third party companies also camp out by the exit trying to sell you stuff as you walk in and out. Very unprofessional…. Why are you trying to sell me stuff as trying to go about my business??? I pay 50+ dollars a month to use your amenities and you have the audacity to try and sell me crap…. Unbelievable. Don’t go here, please go anywhere else even the Mickey Mouse clubhouse will give you a better experience than this place.

I’ve been going here for a while and it seems to be getting worse. The sauna is usually broke. The hot tub hardly ever works. Fire Marshal shutdown the pool last week. Has minimal to no cleaning supplies to wipe down the equipment the majority of the time. Equipment stays full as this is the only large gym in the area. Staff is friendly, but not sure what their job is besides greeting people. And lots of customers love to set up and record their sets, so just be prepared to be in the background of others workout videos. Oh and you can only cancel your membership by walking in and speaking with a manager, yet any kid can sign you up with an account over the phone.

Been going for several months, the gym is used on a regular basis. The problems need to be addressed by company in a more timely manner. A suggestion I gave on the cleaning was get a company or crew to really clean the gym after it is closed.

This way the cleaning crew during the day can address spot issues and they time made more efficient. As far as the Sauna and the hot tub goes, LAF (no pun intended) needs to get qualified contractors to replace the bench work (men). In the case of the women's sauna solve the problem there. I suggested that the installation company, does it have a warranty!

The gym is supposed to be five years old, these areas should have been designed and built for heavy use. Check the warranty.

Vince, John, and Mondo at the location are amazing. From the moment I switched gyms and came here to sign up they never tried to “sell” me. They were knowledge and simply conveyed the info. Zero pressure. They were also very up price will all pricing and future charges. I was never shocked by a charge later on.

They even helped me right a wrong, made by a different location for my brother. They were able to get him signed up, no bait and switch, and even made a few comps to fix an issue not even cause by them.

UPDATE: Feb2025. Now they have some unlisted fitness class that takes up all 3 lanes of the pool that happens between the swim lessons. Basically the pool is unusable for members.

I know as a user of the pool I’m not in the majority but when I pay a monthly membership to use the damn pool and 80% of the time I can’t because they have all 3 lanes closed for swim lessons through a 3rd party company is ridiculous. So I see a lot of crappy reviews about this place. I’ve been going to LA for almost three years. With that I have learned THE CUSTOMER break things often, they can’t pick up after themselves and they don’t put the weights back or unrack equipment. We are grown adults. PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF! It is not the janitors job to walk behind you can pick up after you. She does her best. Chenoa in the kids club is fantastic. Moral of the story something’s break and take time to fix. People don’t listen to the rules obviously posted on the sauna, hot tub etc. if you go in workout do what you came for you’re good. It’s a good convenient gym with child care.

Older lady that was in front desk was 7:37 pm 1/16/25 was a bit rude when intaking people. I’ve been here for over a year and have always scanned my pass and gone on my way, I also have a guest that always comes with me and is in the system. My mom and I come 4-5 times a week for over a year and no one has ever asked me to scan the pass in the guest services tab in the tab. For a "new" gym.. the only thing that is new here is the building. Broken equipment, terrible housekeeping in the sauna / bathroom, lack luster customer service. For a gym surrounding so much wealth in a new city, this is a huge flop. Only reason I'm here is because it's the only gym in the city.

SUGGESTION: clean the bathroom and sauna first thing in the morning so people can use what they pay for. Not have the bathroom and sauna closed at 8am when everyone is trying to get their work in.

The night shift needs to pick up the slack. When the gym opens at 5am it’s littered with paper towels, misplaced weights, and plates/dumbbells left all over the gym. In my opinion it feels like night crew just locks the doors and calls it a day.

When it opens at 5am it get busy and the poor AM staff are stuck trying to clean the mess in the middle of a busy gym. They’re stuck having to mop the sauna and clean the locker rooms as the morning rush flows in to change, shower, and use the sauna that’s now dropped temp significantly. All things that make more sense to do after 11pm when the gym closes.

Do not go here! The Spa/Hot tub and surrounding area is absolutely nasty and stinks like dirty feet mixed with mold. The wet room where the sauna and hot tub is seems to always have cleanliness issues but this is the worst I have seen it. I approached a manger at the front desk and he simply stated the contracted cleaners have been called and the corporate office is aware. I told him this is substandard and unacceptable. This facility is not even worth reviewing, but i wanted to, so that others get to understand.
I called this facility to understand on why the basic plan option is not available, while it is available on other LA fitness within the proximity based on what i saw on their website.

I was indicated for a call back & a Gentle man ( dont remember the name) gave a return call in say within 30 mins.

He started with an indication that there is a best ever offer and unfortunately it was way way costlier than what was even indicated on their own website, when I pointed out to him to go check his own website, seems he got offended & started indicating that the packages he indicated is not available on this facility and also for the other package where he quoted $5 a month extra he covered up with a response that it was against the personal trainer accessibility that will also be part of the membership( I am definitely not a kid to be charged just a $5 extra for personal trainer access or may not need one to be included onto my membership), this should have been the moment where he should have understood on what customers are seeing & what he is pushing about.

I got frustrated & gave him the review upfront that his responses are misleading & I also told him that I will take up the membership in a different LA fitness facility ( if interested) which is statewide or nation wide access and then if needed will use this facility as I will have that appropriate membership allowing this facility also to be accessed.

This time he got frustrated and he then came up with a response that he will block me from getting enrolled anywhere else & will deny access to LA fitness facility as he was the GENERAL MANAGER :).

I was so so freightened that this GENERAL MANAGER will have a complete control of my Fitness & health with that decision (ROFL) and he said on the phone that he already blocked my access.

I am sure that he would have not done this, but if he had done it... probably it is very much the leadership of LA fitness team to be aware of such behaviors... this action or attitude does not only impact the individual facility but the overall image of LA fitness with tons of better options available around.

Come on... there is no monopoly on gym business for a sales GENERAL MANAGER to talk this way to a prospective customer, and if this is being done to a prospective customer, you are just cheating the existing customer badly.

If he really was a GENERAL MANAGER it is much more Disastrous.

No wonder why this facility is low rated, but my real wonder is how come this facility has 2.9 rating.

I have never been more frustrated with a gym. I joined solely to be able to swim. There is a swim school that takes up the majority of the hours that the gym is even open. No matter what time I go up there, the swim school is there. I’ve contacted management and nothing has changed. I’m about to forfeit my membership because I’m so over it. They are supposed to have one lane of the three and take up at least two. It seems like every time I go up there, I am fighting for a spot in one lane. I am a very frustrated member because apparently my membership means nothing to LA Fitness. They seem to be only concerned about what they get from the swim school. Tonight I was told they would not be out of the pool until 9:00. LA fitness closes at 10. That leaves me no place to swim. I could go tomorrow, but I have to be there at 8 o’clock on a Saturday morning and be out by 9 o’clock because the swim school will be back again. This is a disgrace.

Great gym. Close to home which makes it really convent. Wish corporate would keep good employees around but they seem to turn and burn good talent at these places. I would like to thank Dwayne in janitorial work. Cleaning places high and low that I have never seen touched before. He is always moving and cleaning. Let’s try to keep him around.

Pool closed again due to safe splash. The poor communication and oversight by management to monitor and control the pool with safe splash lessons has frequent closures, dangerous and dirty environment. Parents jumping in with clothes on while their kids swim is disgusting. Ppl flooding in from exit doors have created chaos. The facility has lost its way over these third party efforts. Finally, the pool is occupied during peek times all week long for safe splash lessons. As a result to mismanagement and abuse by a third-party, the pool has been closed more than it's been open It feels like. I wouldn't recommend this facility for anybody who wants to use the aquatics.

UPDATE: Nothing has changed since my review 2 years ago. It’s still extremely dirty and you’re constantly have to search for equipment because it gets moved and doesn’t get put back. This wouldn’t be an issue if employees would actually walk around the gym and organized instead of talking to each other or looking down at their phones. Honestly, the employees are lazy and useless. The woman who is supposed to be cleaning spends more time talking or on her phone. I rarely see her clean and the machines have had the same dust on them that they’ve had for years. Such a bummer.

I was so excited about this gym opening because of the location. Unfortunately, I have been disappointed from the start. The sales rep was a bit deceptive when I signed up. He said there would be 2 adults in the kids area to supervise the kids, but there is only one. This is a liability and not safe for the employee or the children. Also, the space for kids is incredibly small and has limited hours (especially on the weekends). They are at capacity almost every time I come. For a gym located around so many young families, they should have expanded the kids area dramatically to accommodate the demographic around the gym. They also have the tv turned on to some weird cartoons that are not toddler appropriate (which is clearly what the kids area is geared towards).

The staff isn’t overly friendly and rarely even greets you when you walk in. Many times they don’t even look up from their phones to acknowledge you. Such a shame.

As far as the workout area goes, everything is very crammed. There is little space to use free weights because the benches are so close to the rack and other equipment. It is also already very dirty under the rack. It is covered in hair and dust and obviously hasn’t been cleaned in weeks (I’ve been checking). Landscaping is filled with overgrown weeds. Dead crickets all the place.

I will continue to use the gym due to a lack of close options, but hopefully something else opens up that is better.

The equipment is nice and the staff are ok for the most part. But the bathrooms and showers are horrible. There is always something broken. I’ve had three separate times where there was zero soap in all the sinks and showers which is crazy. The sauna is constantly broke for long periods of time as well.

Always, always, ALWAYS overcrowded except for maybe 2 hours a day 1pm and the hour before they close. I've never actually seen people recording themselves with a tripod setup in person until I came here. And their weekend hours are an absolute joke. They cater more to their employees getting off early on the weekend than allowing their customers sufficient time to workout. I will not be renewing my membership.
