The men’s lockers/restrooms are very dirty. Almost disgusting. Needs a deep clean for sure. Not what you’d expect for a “signature” gym for the area.
Still dirty, machines and locker rooms.
“Trainers” just sit around and talk amongst each other and even are touchy feely with one another. It’s unprofessional to flirt with coworkers.

I’ve been a member at this gym for a while, but I’m really disappointed with the condition of the sauna and steam room. Despite mentioning it to the manager before, nothing seems to have improved. The sauna and steam room are often dirty — I even took pictures this time. There was chewing gum stuck around and tissues scattered everywhere, like a trash can instead of a wellness area.

It’s really unhygienic and not what you expect from a gym that promotes cleanliness and relaxation. I hope management takes this seriously and makes sure these areas are properly cleaned and maintained

I go to this location and the other one in sugar land off highway 59 and 99 both location need to help. One location has great chest machine for incline decline and flat and the other one has great back machine… the owner needs a 7 day trail for both location to learn his gym cause I’m about to cancel and go to snap fitness

This place is 🗑️

I received a guest pass card in the mail for a 7-day trial and went in to check out the gym. I sat down with someone who I believe was the manager (using that term loosely, because his behavior was extremely unprofessional). In the middle of our conversation, he abruptly got up, ran over, and loudly yelled at an elderly gentleman for bringing a guest. There was clearly a language barrier, and I felt awful watching how the senior was treated—it was unnecessary and inappropriate.

When the manager returned, he told me they no longer honor 7-day passes because “people were abusing it,” despite the fact that I had an official card right in my hand stating otherwise. He insisted he was in charge and refused to honor it.

Between the unprofessional treatment of guests, the lack of respect shown to a senior, and the fact that the facility itself smelled and looked dirty, this was enough for me to decide to go elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I joined this gym back again about 3 months ago. Came back from EOS since it’s too crowded and LA got an upgrade. The Sauna wasn’t working back then and it is still not working and there is no ETA. Guess last time people discontinued there membership to go to EOS they did an upgrade. They probably need that again so they fix the sauna.

You pay a premium to go to a place where you can use the entire facility.

Hope the mangers and directors on the corporate level take notice of this. This isn’t a dis on the local staff. This is for the corporate.

Update 1: this issue was resolved after almost 4 months. I have given one additional star.

Update 2: SAUNA WAS DOWN for 6 plus months and now Jacuzzi is apparently Out of Service for over a month. Exactly around the time Sauna was fixed, Jacuzzi on men’s side went “out of service”

We recently signed up and so far it’s been an ok experience. My husband & I decided to switch from EOS because we got tired of the crowds & it seemed like EOS was more for a much younger crowd (high school & early 20s). LA Fitness is more of a working age, older crowd, which I prefer. While the price is a little more, I like the space much better, they have a pool, a child care AND a seating area (which I asked EOS about on several occasions. Why? Because my son often rode with me and his workouts are much longer than mine and I didn’t have anywhere to wait at EOS so I would just wait in the car. I really like the seating option at LA. The front desk staff could be friendlier but overall they are nice.

Came here one time and left after 10 minutes. It smelled like skunk and saw a man walking around with his shirt off. Group of guys were loud and obnoxious. Girl working at the front was rude and staring at her phone the whole time. Literally walked right out. What a shame that this is a signature gym.

Where do I even begin with this place? If you're looking for a supportive gym environment, you won't find it here. The overall gym culture is severely lacking — instead of encouragement, expect hostility from some of the staff, especially the trainers.

During one of my workouts, a trainer interrupted me mid-set and said, "I told you before, this isn’t that type of gym." I was confused — I had never spoken to this person before. When I said, "What?" he responded, "Oh my bad I thought you were someone else, you guys all look alike." That was not only incredibly racist, but also demeaning and humiliating. I’ve never felt so disrespected in a space that’s supposed to promote health and personal growth.

I’ve been coming to this location for over two years. I keep to myself, I don’t cause trouble, and I’m just there to work out and leave. Yet, I was singled out and harassed — by a trainer who was supposed to be in the middle of a session with a client, no less. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior.

Management needs to take a serious look at who they’re employing and the kind of environment they’re creating. Until then, I would not recommend this location to anyone.

MOLD CITY!!! Need to clean up the men’s locker room and sauna. It is a borderline biohazard! Ok, amenities are lacking. Towels were then weren’t extra. Dry sauna out over a year with no eta, steam room works most times, spa is green and dirty. Overall ok, they did expand the lifting area by closing a classroom. Plenty of machines out side of prime time.

I’ve been a member here paying $55/month, and while the facility is nice when it’s open, the hours are really disappointing—especially for the price. For example, it’s 7 PM on a Sunday right now, and the gym is already closed. This makes it tough for people with busy schedules to find a time to work out, especially if weekends are their main option.

Most weekday hours are fine, but weekends are a different story—they close at 7 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, which feels restrictive for a modern gym. At this price point, I’d expect more flexible hours or at least extended weekend availability.
Where near by GYM offers 24hrs services

If management could reconsider the schedule to better accommodate members—maybe staying open later on weekends—it would make the membership much more worthwhile.

Think twice before you joining LA Fitness!!

Canceling your membership is a nightmare. I submitted the cancellation form in person a week ago—guess what? Still not canceled, and they charged me again. You can’t cancel online either. You have to send a physical letter (who does that in 2025?) or go to the club—where they’ll likely ignore you anyway.

Any company that makes it this hard to cancel on purpose is shady. LA Fitness is the worst one I have seen so far.

I have been a member at LA Fitness for 3 months. I mainly go to the Aquafit classes. For the past 2 months, the spa was closed. It just recently reopened and has been a disappointment. Many members are complaining about the lack of cleanliness in the spa and hot room. Dirty paper towels on the floor, dirt and sand on the services. Today was the worst! While in the spa, we noticed mold on the walls and one of the ladies lifted her hand and a ball of hair was attached to her hand! It was disgusting. 🤢 She immediately got out. Management was alerted but only gave a weak attempt to pick up visible trash, and downplaying the mold saying the pool cleaning guy cleaned the walls the day before. If he had, why was there mold on the walls? The management team is super young and sit more than they walk the facility to ensure it’s cleanliness. LA Fitness needs to hold the Aliana staff accountable to keep the workout areas and locker rooms clean and sanitary or get NEW MANAGEMENT!!

Finally some action—but way too late. This pool at LA Fitness has always looked filthy, and now it's officially shut down by Fort Bend County Environmental Health for not complying with basic safety regulations. That’s a serious violation. I’ve been saying for months that the water looked shady, smelled weird, and felt like a bacteria soup. So here’s the proof—it wasn’t just in my head.

This isn’t just a cosmetic issue. It’s a health hazard. For a big-name gym & EXPENSIVE monthly charges to ignore this until the county had to step in is completely unacceptable. The infrared sauna is closed. There is no information posted. All it mentions that it is closed for indefinite period. A sales person giving tour to a prospective customer mentioned it is closed due to some nationwide lawsuit etc.
It would be nice if there is clear information posted with timeline.

The jacuzzi was not working either - there was a sign posted by Fort Bend county inspector that it was closed because of a violation.

We have been visiting this location since it started couple of years ago. They really need to focus on maintenance and customer service.

Very aggressive sales tactics. Came in on a 3 day pass for my daughter and reps hounded me until I gave in for a membership. Even when I said no multiple times, they just kept trying to sway me by lowering the cost and made me feel like my daughter would get no gym time if I didn’t agree: I signed up for 1 month and cancelled at 2 weeks but somehow still responsible to pay an annual fee because “it was in the contract you signed” per management.

For the price, I expected better. I spoke with management due to the lies I was told to get me to enroll! I was promised a "free month," which basically froze my membership and kid's club, so I can't use it—another lie! They said that manager is no longer there. So basically, if I want the free month, I can't use it; I just go without paying. The lady at the counter, whose name I should have gotten, was not customer-friendly. I enjoy working out here in the early hours. It’s much less crowded and not hot and humid like the Hwy 6 location. My only complaints are the floors in the class area are always filthy with hair and there are not enough attachments for the cable machines. The rope attachments are so frayed. I’m constantly having to modify or cut my workouts short in the morning because I don’t have time wait for a straight bar or curl bar to free up.

It's affordable,equipment is plenty and well mantained. They lack a running track . May be a floor on top could be added. The bathroom showers have floors with bunch of hairs, pool rules should be clear and posted for swim attire,and water walkers . I see people jump in with their street clothes and shoes and it's too uncomfortable to see that. There should be lane allocation for swimmers . I’ve stayed with this LA Fitness mainly because it’s close to home and my mom likes the indoor pool. Sadly, the facility maintenance has been very disappointing. The sauna hasn’t worked in months, and the steam room and spa are unreliable—sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. The spa walls are always grimy from chemical buildup and rarely get cleaned properly. Worse, my mom witnessed staff washing the bathroom floors and letting water flow directly into the spa. That was enough for her to stop using it.

The gym equipment itself is fine, but when I work out around 4 AM, the gym feels hot and stuffy—like the fans or AC aren’t running yet. Interestingly, when they open at 6 AM on weekends, it’s much cooler. On a positive note, the showers are usually clean with no hair at that early hour. Overall, for the membership price, they really need to improve cleanliness and maintenance.

A high-end gym’s sauna has been under maintenance for several months, and it still isn’t fixed. Paying $60 a month for membership feels like a waste—what’s the difference compared to those $20 gyms? This Aliana LA Fitness has its positives, like the friendly front desk and hardworking janitorial staff. However, my experience with one African American female trainer has been disappointing. Despite polite requests for equipment like cable handles while she trains nearby, her responses have been consistently rude and unaccommodating, showing a disregard for basic gym etiquette. Absolutely the worst gym service I’ve ever experienced. I tried to cancel my membership before my billing date (the 12th), but was told I had to come in person—no online or phone option. I drove 30 minutes to the gym on the 10th, only to be told I couldn’t cancel because the manager wasn’t there. Seriously? You can only cancel when a manager happens to be around? After I insisted, the front desk said they’d leave a note for the manager to cancel it on the 11th. Now it’s the 12th, I’ve been charged again, and it still isn’t cancelled and nothing can be done today since manager is off on Weekends. This is an absurd, outdated process and needs to be reported.

I’ve been to several LA Fitness locations, but the Belfort branch is by far the most poorly maintained. The equipment is rough and clearly in need of oiling or greasing. Despite raising this concern, nothing has been done. Out of six cable machines, there is only one straight bar and one curl bar available — and the manager seems to think this is acceptable. This doesn’t reflect the standards of the LA Fitness brand or justify the membership fees being charged. I sincerely hope this is addressed soon.

Worst initial gym experience ever! I applied for a 3-day pass online to try the gym out. I received the pass via email, and the email said that I need to only show the email to the staff to activate the pass. The staff said that I had to meet with one of their trainers before they could activate the pass. I understand this is, perhaps, their business model; to shuttle new members towards trainers/plans. However, I was pressed for time. After waiting a few minutes, I was told that I would need to wait another 10-15 minutes before I could meet with one of their team. I decided to leave and went up the street to EoS. My experience with EoS was the exact opposite. None of the B/S. I just got a pass and worked out. No follow-up stalking text or calls from their staff about “when will I be able to come by and sit down with them” b/s. Yeah, this experience ruined any opportunity to earn my business in the future. I am relocating to Richmond in a year. Though LA Fitness is closer to my home, I will drive right past them to EoS for my gym membership.

I signed up for a 7-day pass during my trip.

Since it was my first time, I had to go through the whole spiel with the front desk staff. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, but he was extremely friendly. He checked my strength, flexibility, etc. At the end, when he asked if I had any questions, I asked him to help me on the leg press and he did! He suggested other workouts I should do afterwards.

I came during the day time, when it wasn't busy and in the afternoon when it was busy. Both times were pleasant. NO ONE slammed their weights!! Was there a lunk alarm?? Everyone seemed respectful of others around them, asking if they can jump in between sets. However, wiping down equipment seemed to be a foreign concept here.

They have the standard equipment that would be at every gym. All the weights are on the first level and the dreaded cardio on the second level...although the stairmasters are on the first. They also have cycles throughout the gym, I was excited to hop on one for the first time in years.

Can I just take a moment and point out the old and rusty machines?? This isn't my home gym, but still...why haven't they been replaced? I get that they aren't broken or in need of repair, but all that rust can't possibly be good.

The bathroom/locker room areas were surprisingly clean.

Would I return? Maybe...when I'm back in the area.

This gym is not what it use to be, I’ve been a member for 3 years in 2 months & it gets worse every year. Customer service is trash, the sauna & steam room are always down & quality over the gym overall has declined. Trainers/staff will stop you mid-set (legit won't even wait the 8 reps it takes to finish a set) to claim the equipment or turf spot for their personal training.. Who in their right mind would stop someone mid-set, with headphones on, to tell them to move? Were they not trained well? Do they have fake certifications? Working out with my daughter around 4:30 and noticed a teenager struggling with a barbell across his chest. I dropped my dumbbells and turned around to see a trainer approaching this young man. Initially I thought he was going to assist the kid but he walked right past him and didn’t stop, even as I pointed at the kid. I ran over to help the kid get the barbell off his chest while the trainer pretended to see nothing from about 10 feet away. The bald trainer with the black beard set a horrible example of caring for the customer’s safety and his expression indicated he had no concern. I was disappointed that the safety of a young kid (I happened to teach this kid in high school the previous year). Thankfully he was not injured, but he was very scared. LAFitness was lucky he was not injured. Definitely need to address the flippant attitude from this trainer. Overall, this gym needs maintenance and hiring trainers who are concerned about customer safety.

Walked in there to get a membership and noone acknowledge me, after a few minutes the lady at the front desk got off her phone and said nothing, so I approached and she told me it’ll be about 10 minutes until a sales person can help me, she was referring to the 3 gentlemen sitting 10 feet from her that never got up to talk to me. This place become a nightmare, the recent changes at the gym, particularly since the opening of the new apartment complex nearby.
The basketball court has become overcrowded and often features aggressive games that hinder a safe and enjoyable environment. As a parent, I used to enjoy playing basketball with my son, but the current atmosphere makes it difficult to do so.
Additionally, I am alarmed by the rising incidents of theft within the gym. Personally, I have had my wallet stolen twice in the past year, which has caused me considerable distress. I also noticed that the safety deposit boxes outside are not functioning, further contributing to the insecurity many of us are feeling.
Also, the sauna room has been out of service for the past two years. This has been a significant disappointment, especially for members who value the amenities that were once part of our experience.
Given these issues, I find it difficult to consider this gym a “signature club” as it was marketed.

Other than this issues, the gym overall is always clean, lots of machines and welcoming staff.

I love this gym but it’s so poorly maintained. The dry sauna has been broken or not working for close to a year now and the membership price has not decreased and now we are notified the steam room is also down. They make no initiative to fix things promptly why I’ve been going to other gyms hoping this one gets back to how it used to be

Daniel got it done! Walked in to tour facility walked out with a membership. A very SIMPLE process. Unlike other gyms they don’t need all of your personal information up front and “hooks in you” before you get tour the gym. I told Daniel my needs, showed me the facility and was out the door with a membership. With a team like that, success is imminent. Thanks Daniel

No one here replaces the weights back. The staff doesn’t even try to put them back either. Half of the weights aren’t re-racked right then the other half are spread out in different sections of the gym. So you end up carrying a 60 barbell across the gym avoiding people and machinery.
Plus, the fans in the lifting area is never on so all the dudes around are emitting a foul stench unknown to god himself. The employees are not shy to hit on you either. Very inappropriate. Please do better.

Absolutely horrible company and place. Once you gave your credit card there is no way to get rid of this company. They don't cancel your membership. Asking you to fill out a form to cancel it and send it to membership department. You are doing exactly what they are telling and result is the same. It is now 1 year and they haven't cancel the membership. They are also saying that they don't refund your money. They don't cancel it over the phone asking you to come to see the manager at location. When you go there manager is never available. You are empty hand desperately expecting to cancel your membership. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Besides the gym lacking essential amenities, the staff is beyond rude and VERY incompetent. Especially their supposed operations manager that takes 2 hour lunches. I seriously regret ever signing up with this place. It is a complete waste of money. They close at 7 on the weekend. Then they let their friends come in without scanning anything. What am so paying 54 dollars a month for when they’re letting people in for free. Useless people and useless gym.

We're tired of the a/c never working and some of the machines are always broken. I've spoken to the manager and he said that corporate won't authorize the repair work, really!!!! We're thinking of going to another gym and not L A FITNESS, corporate get the repair work done!!!!! The manager tries his best, but his hands are tied, because of you!!!! We switched gyms to Aliania now and it's just as bad, fans aren't turned on and no wipes nor paper towels, what's going on.

I used to like this gym, but my experience over the past week has been terrible. The new guy at the reception is completely useless and very rude. He never responds to a “good morning” or “goodbye,” and he always has his feet up on the counter as if he’s at home. He clearly has no interest in being there and is only concerned with scrolling on his phone. He never answers any questions and doesn’t know how to do anything; he just says he’s there to open the door.

In the mornings, the air conditioners are extremely cold, seemingly set to the temperature from the previous evening, which is perfect for making everyone sick. This is the second time I’ve requested assistance about this, but the only person available is that kid who clearly doesn’t want to be there at all.

I joined in February and here it is June and the dry sauna still does not work. RIDICULOUS!! When I toured before signing up the associate told me the dry sauna was being fixed in February. The wet sauna’s grout has never been cleaned or sanitized by the look of the black gunk between the tiles. Coupled with dirt around the pool area this is not the cleanest women’s facility. I would never sit in a bacteria infested space like that. Complete false advertisement for amenities they don’t offer. There should be a class action suit for companies like LA Fitness that go months collecting payments for services that they are not offering but are continuously advertising. Imagine how many patrons are subscribing and not getting bill reductions for the services/amenties they clearly have no real intent to supply.

Best one among all LA Fitness locations in Houston. The only missing part is squash hall. My basic decision factors were swimming pool and sauna. Only sauna had been closed for months now :) and swimming pool is always occupied in the mornings which makes me feel going somewhere else. But overall, still hanging here.

Honestly I love this gym. I've been working with David, he is very knowledgeable with fitness and he's easy to get in contact with for any questions. I never had a problem with anyone at the front desk or anything. It seems like everyone in the gym mind their business , haven't ran across any awkward people. So far so good.

Whatever you do, don’t sign up at this gym. The EOS opened right next to LA and it is 24 hours and also cheaper.

In order to compete with them, this LA switched over to 24 hours for 2 months to gain some customers back. After the 2 months, they reversed their timing back to normal after they “gained” some customers back unfaithfully.

The manager heard me say this and flicked me off for what I said.

The water for drinking taste worst than tap water. It has a nasty odor and taste, especially if you drink it the next day from your water bottle.

This is my favorite club to go to by far. The lighting is bright - even on the most dreary days, it is spacious, and has many amenities. I love the shower stalls, too, with the glass doors, and you can tell that they clean the showers and bathrooms regularly. I've been to several LA Fitness locations over the years, and this one is one of the most upkept clubs. Few machines are ever out of working order for long, there's ample space on the green turf (and it's not roped off for personal training use only, which is a HUGE benefit), SO MANY MACHINES, and they just expanded the weight section into one of the old classrooms that is no longer used. I never have an issue of needing to use a machine and they're all taken - there's so many machines available. I love this club and will drive out of my way to go here.

The only thing I wish was different is that the adjusting levers on machines need to be oiled more frequently. Often, I struggle to adjust machines the way I need them, and will either use the machine where it's stuck at (which has resulted in injuries), or I'll interrupt another gym member to have them assist me, which is annoying for me and for them, and I feel like this can be an easy fix if the machine levers were oiled or kept up in the way that they need to be.

I've was asked by google to re-review and had to drop stars for a few reasons. It doesn't smell as clean as it once did. The quality of upkeep has declined with many missing accessories for the equipment. The morning staff is not very friendly *selective*. I was very excited to join the now demolished Pilates :(. It's not as special as it once was. I'm starting to feel like 24 hours, but it's not even opened all night....

I tried to not leave a low review of this location. I have been a member since December 2022 and the pool continually gets worse and worse. Myself as well as a couple of my friends that come to the gym have spoken to the staff as well as the manager about the condition of the pool and it never seems to get cleared up. Often I get out and my skin is dry and itchy for a couple of days regardless of how many showers I take and how much lotion I use to get rid of the itching. My face often burns for awhile after words. I am currently searching other locations for lapping pools and will leave the "Signature" LA Fitness as soon as I find a suitable location for me. The wet sauna is often down and the dry sauna has been down for at least 4-5 months. The pics attached are show how bad it is. You can barely tell but there is someone in the pool in BOTH pictures.
I am leaving 2 stars because for the most part the gym is fairly nice although a little more attention to detail could be had when deep cleaning the equipment from time to time. What lowered the rating drastically is the pool condition as well as broken saunas.

Horrible experience. Why do I have to cancel on a certain day and time? The Mexican lady at the front desk had a horrible attitude and needs more training. Worst gym in the area. It’s small, alway packed, and the workers need customer service training. Eos is better, save ur money guys!!
