Someone broke into my vehicle in the parking lot here and stole my money. I had to cancel my membership here. This gym is going down in my opinion and the staff could care less. They'll want to know what was stolen during your misfortune nonetheless, I guess saving it for another member story time moment. They also DO NOT Greet You when you come into the gym.

I signed up not long ago because I have a 15 yr old son who is highly active in basketball and this gym had just that, the court! When they asked what was our reason for signing up that was my main reason basketball for my son so I can work out during his session. Literally the following days after the court is now closed after 6 and on weekends! This is so unfair and I don't appreciate it being closed being this is the main reason for my membership. If our membership is for ALL things provided in the gym then ALL things need to be functionally open for the people who joined. I would appreciate if they accommodated the hours more for people who work and have teen kids.

Poor customer service, I was on a free trail. Planning to get a membership. But unfortunately after today I won’t be back!!
I misplaced a personal item and called to see if anyone could check for me. The front desk lady ANDREA , refused to help. I suggest Ms.Faith (which is her boss), to remove her from the front desk because it was completely unprofessional and treated me less because I wasn’t officially enrolled.

The equipment is tore up. The lockerroooms are nasty. The showers are nasty. The sauna is the worst! 🤢 The showers stink.

Honestly has potential, but the people working the desk and front have no clue or care about anything. God forbid you miss a payment, they will, let you in; then come in there, out on the floor and will dress you down right there, and force you to leave or pay. Like why couldn't this be handled at the desk before I got out here with my group In front of everyone. It seems very unprofessional. This could have been handled before I got in there, and got started, and took my pre workout ; and then you dress me down in front of everyone and force me to leave. Then they can't make up their minds about if they take cash. I leave to go get money and come back to pay, and then I am still denied. All the while, for almost 6 months they had leaking ceilings where half equipment was unusable and more than half the ceiling tiles were missing. Looking like a ten dollar club. Water would pour in when it rained and don't get me started on the bathrooms and locker rooms with no ceilings and buckets everywhere for months. They charge you like a high end club, and then treat you, and the maintenance like it's a it's a burden. If you're looking for a new gym , I would recommend any location but this one. Very unprofessional and half the time there is no one at the front desk when you walk in. Most of the people that work there spend their time's chit chatting not paying attention to anything anyway. What is the support of the security when half the people walk in with no check. God forbid you get there at 5 AM. And at least once or twice a week the opening crew is late. I cannot wait to cancel my membership. The cleaning people are so great. The shining stars there.

I'm a member of this gym and on Friday, September 11, 2025 you simply can't enter my exercise routine because it turns out that from 9:30 on Fridays the doors are closed... but the workers of that day didn't let anyone through since 9:00 pm because they didn't feel like it... it's stupid to think that one pays such an expensive membership for this... again the fitness disappoints me again...

Weights are always misplaced. Don't blame customers; hire capable staff to re-rack after hours or early morning before opening. I'll volunteer if necessary. Jacuzzi hasn't worked in months. Air quality and ventilation is poor.

Otherwise, I will remain a customer, and I am mostly satisfied with what I do here. I fully expect this post to receive a reply from management. I am very optimistic that this gym will improve

8 or more treadmills are broken. The pool has been out of service for at least three weeks. Many of the machines are in bad shape. I will have to say that their cleaning crew does a great job. I believe that they really need to get busy with some upgrades or they will lose all their customers to the new gym opening up across the street.

The gym is clean. Most of the machines work. Great; it's not really overcrowded. Usually, the people in the gym are friendly, including the staff. So it's easy to get a good workout, and the only problem that I have is the leaks from the rains. The gym leaks all over, sometimes in areas, blocking equipment.

Today 7/21 when I entered the gym. The young man that was at the front counter was eating a whole full ourselves neal, not paying one cent of attention to customers entering the gym. As I was trying to check in, I don't know if it was me or the durn machine, but the young man didn't give a dam or even attempt to assist until I said something to him. So, I went to sit down to the side to see how long he was just going to sit there and not do his job, and then an older/elderly person came in to looking to be assisted with something and the young man just continued to sit there eating his food as if she wasn't standing there and I guess for her seeing that he didn't get up to assist her, she just left. I sat there for about 5 more minutes to see if the lady would come back in, and she didn't. Like being at that front counter is where the customer service starts, and for the most part, it doesn't happens and for what I see of the other reviews, I am not the only one that feels this way and also today I don't know what was going on with the cleaning lady, but she was slipping today. Trash on the floor as well as water that needed to be mopped up. This gym needs a lot of changes for the better

Horrible! Ceiling tiles in bathrooms are missing, machines are old, most of the time there isn’t anyone up front, it sometimes appears like homeless people just walk in, mirrors are always dirty. Bald Man in the front desk area always has his headphone on, if an emergency happens I don’t know how on earth he will hear it. This gym USED to be one of the good ones now it’s poorly maintained and managed.

This place is a dump! Used to be a member years ago. Back in the market for a new gym, this place has leaks all over the roof across the gym. Lockers are broken. Equipment is also pretty old too! Spoke to other members while on tour, they said this place is being run down. Sad…..

Cancelled my membership today after months of being lied to from my home location about the Sauna being fixed since September of 2024 (currently June 2025)

The closest location with a working Sauna if this one but the rest of the gym is falling apart and is poorly maintained (various ceiling panels missing due to leaks, buckets and totes all over your collect rain leaks). In addition to the to unsafe conditions, weights and equipment is always out of place and staff makes no effort to organize or manage (granted everyone should be putting back the weights they use).

Membership services was no help and actually encouraged me to cancel my membership.

Very dissatisfied, they have been reported to the BBB.

I was a former member in 2017 and it was a way better experience then rather than now.. it's busy and reactive management isn't helpful. Highly recommend going to the Kuykendahl location, worth the 15 minutes drive! Between the two there's no bball court or sauna but there aren't as many people when I go in the afternoon/evenings.

This gym is not like it use to be .. can’t ever find weight bars, It only has 4 stair masters which at least 2 or 3 are always out of order …. Equipment is all over the place… The gym needs to be bigger in size due to the ratio of members.. It’s never enough room for us to workout.. I go to work out at 6:00am in the morning. The cleaning lady keep wiping near me, it smells chemical and bleachy. The smell is so strong I could not stand it. Imagining that you come here to work out to improve your health but get sick by smelling that chemical instead. I hope the management team could do something about this. Planet fitness over off of 1960 & 45 refused to give us a tour or let us walk the floor to see if we wanted a membership. Came over to LA Fitness & Ibrahim gave us the grand tour, got us set up with a membership & out the door in less than an hour. The gym has plenty of variety, plenty of machines & a great staff. I arranged for a tour and found everyone helpful especially DeShawn. The equipment was operational and the areas I toured were clean. The pool appeared to be well maintained. The only negative aspect was the collecting of data that I thought was too personal and nobody else's business for just a tour, however, I'm sure it is their standard operating procedure and they meant no offense.

I’ve been a loyal member at LA Fitness for quite some time, and I’m extremely disappointed by the recent decision to close the basketball court on weekends. The court is now only open during the week from 9 AM to 6 PM, which is incredibly inconvenient for most members who work full-time and rely on weekends for recreational activities.

It’s frustrating to be paying for a membership that includes access to the basketball court, only to find that I’m now unable to use it when it’s most convenient for me. It feels like a punishment for the majority of us who want to stay active, and it seems unfair that a decision affecting a few has such a big impact on so many members.

LA Fitness needs to reconsider this change and find a way to accommodate all its members. The current schedule is disappointing and has made me question whether it’s worth continuing my membership.

Overall this particular LA Fitness is a okay size but Ive been to bigger. The staff is okay. The environment is good. Parking is good. Equipment quality is good. Equipment variety is good. Equipment Availability is okay.

—-More Specific Review—
Been going for 5 months. What they have:

an upstairs with all cardio equipment and down stairs they have a lot of great balance of workout equipment for strength training and a few row machines

They have an all bicycle room and an open room with a boxing bag on the side. Both are glass walled and are usually for group sessions but you can go in there when its not in use.

I especially like their tire flip and sled area. They also have multiple racket ball sections. A good sized pool and a hot tub.

Their indoor basketball court is small and on top of that they split it with a volleyball net because i guess to prevent people from taking over the entire court for 1 game. The Gym is okay overall. I think it needs more machines to balance out availability.

The fitness center was nice overall. There were, however, several treadmills (and the floor around them) that were covered in liquid. It seemed like a slipping hazard. This location has at least 5 racquetball courts and a large basketball court, which were nice. The pool area was a good size, and the lanes were roped, which helps facilitate pool walkers and lap swimmers. There wasn't anything that would make me not want to return.

Always loved them. Waa in a wreck and was out of gym and dang near lost everything. So I went in and I was reinstating. Member for years. So I went in to get me and my lady back instated. They tried to charge $300 down and $70 a month. When I was paying $58 for the both of us and no $300 down. So we are going to unfortunately move. 24 hour fitness $70 down $35 a month, is one deal I am looking at. And president and first lady is less. And at 24 hour they have dry and wet sauna's.

I love this gym. I go there pretty much every day but yesterday I was a victim. At approximately 4:05 PM broad daylight my car was broken into.
The police officer told me don’t park here. Golden Corral, Razzoos, pretty much anywhere in this area, don’t park. He also told me LA Fitness will not install better cameras or different angles of the parking lot. So just blurry cameras from when the place opened up. It’s funny to me anytime someone that works at LA fitness approaches me they want a referral, never do they ask me what can we do to make your experience better? This place already stays packed so I know they’re making money. Reinvest into your business. Apparently two break-ins last week same parking lot. There was a security guard on duty, but he did not seem to deter the criminals.

Pretty good gym to work out at. Love the sauna also. The hot tub and pool is nice but a little bit too much chlorine in my opinion. I also see people closing their eyes in the hot tub due to it.

I'm in my mid 60s and work out here at least 3 times a week with my wife. She enjoys the cardio kickbox and water aerobics classes and I'm a basic "gym rat" on the weights and cardiologist equipment. Clean, well maintained, and great staff.

Been going to the gym since corona shut down golds gym. A lot of fit people that go to this gym I like the inspiration. I really like the punching bags you can move around and hit as hard as you want

Excellent renovations but HATE not being able to use them due to broken Air Conditioning! This location could be better than the 2 Signature gyms nearby but the temperature is unbearable after about 30 minutes. Cannot recommend.

$45 a month and I can’t even read the numbers on the weights due to wear and tear. All machines are worn out at this location. This location doesn’t sell any merchandise, gloves, supplements, water bottles nothing.

This place used to be a very nice facility to work out at. Currently, the AC has been broken for almost 2 months. They can not afford to repair it, however membership dues are always paid on time. It stinks, the bathrooms are horribly maintained. You walk in and half the time there is nobody at he front desk and if they are, they’re on their cell phone the entire time. I’m sure they will close the doors soon as they did the one on Louetta.

Great place to have your vehicle broken into or your items stolen from your locker. My vehicle has been broken into twice here while working out. Also, the AC doesn't work on the courts during the summer.
