Good variation of machines, so if something you want is taken there is something close enough available.

Cons:
No lockerrooms, so you have to change in the bathroom. And I've changed in the bathroom 3 times a week for over 6 months, and not once has it not been gross. The bathrooms need serious work
Some of the machines "work" but are clearly past theyre lifespan. There are two leg machines that are so worn that they cause me pain to use, not the good kind either

Ultimately its good value for the price, but could use improvemennts in cleanliness and equipment upkeep.

My favorite gym, and the best collection of equipment for the price of the membership.
Unfortunately not enough money is being put back into the gym because the machines are dirty and rusty with worn pads, and sometimes out of service for long periods of time. There's only one person in charge of cleaning and they just vacuum the floor once a week. Whoever is working the desk also has the responsibility of taking out the trash and putting things back where they belong, which they do pretty regularly.

They have a lot of machines and great atmosphere. A lot of heavy hitters went there so it looks like it was geared towards the serious legit ppl. Had a lot of great workouts there but the vibe was switching up a bit. On one occasion there was a fight between two women for someone that worked there so that was my cue to find another gym. Main reason I gave the gym a One Star is because on trying to cancel my membership I used the wrong email address to cancel and when I sent the gym an email some guy named Henry Walker replied with condescending and sarcastic remarks. The customer service was really lacking and made the whole experience very difficult. In his defense he seemed very stressed and annoyed with his job so I probably caught him on a bad day.

Bang average gym that's extremely dirty. Come here if you want to get an infection from grabbing one of the dumbells. The bathrooms are nasty as well. A lot of maintenance work is needed.

this gym is truly for everyone. i’m someone who prefers to not talk to anyone and focus on what im there for when i work out, and it’s honestly the best kind of gym to do that in. However, i do notice the community of people who come to this gym and it’s always welcoming. Of course there will always be some that are not, but it’s rare and counted when that happens. the open concept and sectioned areas is so helpful if you’re just starting out and need to learn what each machine does. The feel of working out here takes my mindset to the next level and motivates me to push hard. i couldn’t recommend this gym more 11/10

Very great variety of machines, but not enough of the common ones. There’s no preacher curl bench, only one good seated leg extension machine, only one good leg press, and only one good seated leg curl machine.

If you want to use it you’ll have to wait 30 minutes for a kid to finish scrolling through his for you feed.

They do have Texas deadlift and power bars, strongman implements, vertical leg press, pendulum squat, belt squat, and many more great uncommon machines.

If you want to do a normal program or workout, you won’t be able to do it at this gym, though.

Edit: The preacher curl had the pad taken off of it in October of last year, so yes there was a preacher curl about a year ago.

“Good” is a matter of opinion, but if you’ve ever used an Arsenal leg extension, you’d know how bad the strength curve is.

I don’t know why you’re so defensive about valid criticism, your gym is unique and has room for improvement. Instead of commenting and on reviews you should take the critiques you receive to heart.

I have been attending this location before they were officially open to the public and still accidentally say I go to "Legacy". They have expanded several times since and have added a ton of nice equipment. The front desk is nice and I like the culture here for the most part. Most people in here are friendly and I never have issues finding a spotter. Cons: The Stair-masters are always broken and have a long turnaround. There is also a chair bench that has been out of order for several months. Lastly, but is not the gyms fault, some members treat the men’s bathroom like shit. This is all constructive criticism. I have been loyal to this gym even through covid and will continue to support local small business.

Awesome gym for bodybuilding!

Pros:
- has all the equipment you could ever need
- lots of free weights, Olympic plates, platforms, dumbbells up to 150
- tons of great physiques here
- they have a posing room and dedicated posing mirror
- they open up all of the loading dock doors when it’s nice out
- you can take your shirt off
- they blast great music really loud (most of the time)

Cons:
- bathroom needs a remodel, it’s in rough shape
- no locker room, only one shower
- machines are badly in need of maintenance

Changing my review after going here for several years. I’ll start with the pros:

Pros: no Shortage of powerlifting equipment. If you’re into powerlifting, this is the gym for you in the Woodlands Area. Several power racks, deadlifting platforms and rogue bench presses. Medium sized dumbbell rack. Wide variety of equipment for every muscle group. Large turf field as well. Gym community is nice as well, front reception is always friendly and you can buy a wide selection of energy drinks and protein snacks. Decent sized posing area as well however you are required to provide your ID to enter posing room.

Cons: Equipment is often broken with long repair periods. This might be the biggest con for me personally. Cardio machines, and miscellaneous equipment will often be broken for long periods of time. Restroom facilities often have the doors broke which just swing open for everyone to see inside. Toilet lids often broken off and on the floor. The music is no longer what it used to be either. High intensity music was often played which now evolved into more commercial style gym playlist music which personally not a fan of.

TLDR: It’s a warehouse gym, and definitely the best in the area for a fair price of $40/month. Friendly community and great equipment. Long repair periods for broken items and lackluster music selection.

I used to work out at LA fitness, then my friend brought me here one time and I really liked it. The machines here are really nice and there's some interesting ones I hadn't seen before. I'm a beginner lifter but I never feel out of place here and the other gym goers are really nice. Love this place, strongly recommend!

Overall, it's a fairly clean gym to work out in. However, be advised that if you want to cancel your membership, it will take 10-20 business days to process. If you are billed during that time frame, your membership will remain active through that billing period and will cancel on the following billing date. No refunds will be processed. If you like a warehouse gym with friendly staff and peers then this is the gym for you. I went for a day pass a few months ago and that day I signed up and met multiple nice people. The machines are in excellent conditions and the members care a lot about cleanliness and re-racking weights. A very respectful and supportive atmosphere. Never feel judged coming here. My son joined this gym and it was supposed to be as advertised: Basic: $39.99 per month, with no long-term contract.
When my son moved out of the house to go to collage, there was no same gym and they were not supposed to ask him for anything, and that is what actually happened until we were surprised that they sold the information they had to a collection agent company and that company started asking him for about $500 and harassment him … What kind of action is this? How heinous did this gym do it…
My son is a young man who finished high school and went to university and did nothing to tarnish their reputation, but they sold the private information they had about him to these people who have no mercy in their hearts except that they are thirsty for money.
When he went to the gym to ask what happened, they told him that there is nothing we can do about it, so go and solve your problem with them… What kind of baseness is this.
Do not trust this gym ( LGND Barbell) and do not give them personal information about you… Their goal is money through illegal means, unfortunately.

I’m a beginner lifter, and never one time have I ever felt judged or like I didn’t belong here. The owner and staff have done a great job creating a culture of safety and encouragement. I’ve asked several other people in the gym for help and everyone is so happy to give advice.

Waking up to hit the gym is now the highlight of my day. I love that there aren’t any “extras” like a commercial gym. There aren’t any people just lounging around. If you’re here, you’re here to work. I love to be surrounded by people who just want to get huge and improve their physiques. I can’t think of any other place I’d rather go to lift. I love this place!

This would be a 5 star rating if the music wasn’t terrible. I used Shazam and attached screenshots of a few songs that are on the playlist. I have 50% hearing loss in each ear. The sound system is nice and loud which is great. However, I can’t wear my earbuds because I’d have to turn the volume up loud to drown out the gym speakers and further damage my hearing and resulting in ringing in my ears that causes a migraine.

I've been a member since 2021 and can say this gym gets better every year. Met some really cool people along the way. The expansion has made it the best gym in Montgomery county. Ive referred a few people to this gym and they all loved it. 24/7 gym, no annual fees and clean. The only thing is people don't re rack, but the gym staff are always on point to making sure they do.

TLDR: understand if you sign up and try to cancel there’s a chance they will falsify a debt in your name it’s why they take your ID. It’s the same gym scam that 24hr used to run.

I used to go here. I decided since I liked the gym in the past I would support them by continuing to pay even though I had not attended in over a year at that point.

Like others. I’ve had some issues. I tried to cancel and they wouldn’t cancel my membership. So I called the bank. The bank reached out to them and now they won’t stop calling.

I had to change my bank to stop them from continuing to charge me after cancellation. When I asked them in the past they just said I needed to come in. Which I had already done. I recently was a victim of a pretty serious crime. I am not comfortable making a second trip to this gym to cancel my membership again.

This is a really really common gym scam. I’m disappointed that I continued to pay them for so long and they return that by harassing me with calls and emails and false debt over blocking their charges.
If they don’t drop it I’ll be filing a formal complaint.

I see based on reviews here they don’t regularly take accountability for their cleaning practices and other negative experiences and I know he will try to avoid accountability on this too. Assuming there will be some denial i included some photos for obvious reasons including more would give out my personal information.

I actually like the gym it sucks that this is their choice.
Of course I had good things to say too but I won’t be removing or updating this unless they correct their error and let me cancel after not using the gym for OVER a year.

My family have been members of first Legacy Barbell, and now LGND Barbell for 7 years. We stuck with them through the pandemic and paid every month. We canceled our membership today over an issue with the volume of the music. After requesting the music to be lowered, the manger brushed me off and wouldn’t talk to me. I am hearing impaired and paid $80 for a Boxing session and couldn’t hear my coach because the speakers sit on the ground right next to the boxing session and were blaring (music with the F word and N word) After I located the owner, he said the music level wasn’t changing and proceeded to berate me for opening a door that did NOT say “staff only”. Henry Walker lost my entire family Memberships over 1 hour. 1 HOUR! I just couldn’t hear my coach. We’ve put up with his psycho behavior in the past but never again!

First off I did not brush you off. I told you not right now because I had to deal with something going on in the back parking lot that was more important over music and please do not sit there and say that I could care less about a hearing impaired member, I am deaf in my left ear, so please do not pull that card with me. And thanks for lying in your review stating I “wouldn’t talk to you” bc everyone at the front are witnesses. And the speakers are in the air…. Not the ground. Yes, you have been with us for awhile, but that does not give anyone the right to demand the music be lowered. And you’re right, 2 trainers lost clients, but it wasn’t on us, it was due to your actions.
