Jay is an excellent strength coach at Lifetime Fitness. He helped me fix my form, improve stability, and really focus on proper movement. He also adjusted my bench press technique, which completely removed the pain I was having before. I highly recommend him if you want to lift correctly and safely.

Nice gym. What really makes it better than other gyms is the people, such as Jay Perez. He actually seems to care about the customer and their health. I would highly recommend using Jay Perez for any training needs you have.

Almost half of all group classes need extra pay (Alpha, GTX, Arora ) on top of your membership payment. Few years ago was way more free group classes. It’s disappointing! Club definitely goes down to the hill.

Ive been going to Lifetime for a few months now. I have been very happy with my experiences at this gym. I recently had a session with Jay, one of their many dynamic personal trainers. I was genuinely amazed at the wealth of knowledge Jay had! He was intuitive, perceptive & spot on with his assessment of my strengths & weaknesses. Jay was very professional. He provided excellent suggestions for me and was thorough in creating a plan that would work for me. I’m super happy with him and I would highly recommend Jay!

Truly enjoy working out at this Lifetime. Choose this one over others in the area due to the absolutely awesome trainers. Classes are always high energy and a good size. Trainers always push you to add more weight and do more than you think you can.

I’ve been loving my experience at Lifetime! The gym itself is top-notch, super clean, full of great equipment, and always has a positive, motivating atmosphere. But what really makes it stand out is the staff, especially Jay, one of the trainers.

Jay has made such a difference in my fitness journey. From day one, he made me feel comfortable and confident, even when trying new workouts. He pays close attention to form and technique, so I always feel like I’m training safely and effectively. His sessions are challenging but fun, and he always finds a way to keep things fresh and motivating.

I’ve seen real progress since working with him both in strength and consistency. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping his clients reach their goals. If you’re thinking about joining Lifetime, definitely check out training with Jay. He makes the whole experience that much better!

I really love working out at Lifetime, the atmosphere, the equipment, and especially the staff make it such an enjoyable place to work out. I’m so happy Lifetime has amazing trainers like Jay!

When we first started training with him, he immediately made us feel comfortable and supported. Since we hadn’t done strength training in a while, he jumped right in to help us with proper movements and form. He also created a personalized training program and a diet plan tailored to our goals, and we followed a set schedule that kept us consistent.

What I appreciate most about Jay is how attentive he is during every session and that he always makes sure our form is correct, explains each exercise clearly, and ensures we never risk injury. I always felt confident and safe training under his guidance. He’s knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely cares about his clients’ progress.

I’d definitely recommend everyone to train with Jay bc you’ll see real results and actually enjoy the process!

I went to the colleyville location today to talk about becoming a member. Savannah was friendly and knowledgeable about the facility. She answered all my questions and gave a great, thorough tour of the facility! I also appreciated Gus’ input on the tour as well. Facility was clean and well managed. Thanks, Savannah!!

Just facts:
1. Very difficult to reserved spot in hot yoga Sunday class. Class overloaded during last few years but management doing nothing to solve this problem.
2. I needed to switch one of my kid, who left to college to another younger one. LF wants to change my contract with change price. Why? We are still the same family, who is your client for a while. Hate it.
Management is just smiling and doing nothing. Their best clients are those who paying but didn’t show up.
3. Terrible app with schedule. Not useful filters. To find interested class you need to scroll all useless “kids activities”, tons of them! Are you guys daycare or sport place?

I planned my 20 mile run to have a halfway point to just fill up my water bottle at this gym at 550 am and the worker wouldn’t even let me fill it up. She said “there’s a Starbucks down the road. I asked “just to fill my water up? I can’t do that? You’re a gym; you have water. She said “no you can’t do that” Pretty horrible customer service if you ask me. An older man saw me leave and asked if he could fill my water bottle up for me and he brought it back out for me. 🫶🏻 thank you kind sir

The kids club at this location is a DISASTER
they close at 2 pm, and never have enough staff so most days you have to stand in there and wait until others are checked out, and they call constantly while you workout. We moved to this area and most days drive 30 mins to a different location just so we can actually workout while our kids are in the kids club that we pay for. It’s been brought to the managers attention multiple times.

We have used the outdoor pool four times since mid June including today August 1. The pool was filthy each time , I mean dirty. Deck had wet tissue or toilet paper. Leaf accumulation on deck drains was prevalent. Pool floor was enhanced by dirt, leaves and Crepe Myrtle seed heads. I don’t believe the pool has been vacuumed in weeks. Deck could use a leaf blower each morning. Lifeguards not interested in housekeeping as they stare at the mess for hours each day.

My dad took me up here to play pickleball. It was not a good experience. Dad is a beginner (like whiffs 60% of the balls beginner), I am not. We went to the beginner open play Wednesday 2pm-3pm. That wasn't too bad actually. Whoever the blonde lady that works there is, she was very welcoming and seemed to try to make sure things were flowing well and people were happy. She played a game with us after a lady complained that I hit the ball too hard. I am a female for context. I can understand this perspective on that being it was a beginner open play and I thought the blonde lady handled things well by just deciding to be the one to play with us. After 3pm, it was just flat out open play (any level), and the blonde worker lady left. The front desk told me that this was when their better players would show up. My dad (the beginner) was not playing and it was just me putting my paddle in on the rack. There were two Asian guys who were very good who would flat out play with anyone. Some of the other clientele would refuse to play with you even when your paddle was next up on the rack. They were stacking paddles in groups behind (which could be ok given everyone gets to play) but they were literally just leaving me without a game when my turn was up on the rack (2 groups of 4 behind me- at least 8 people behind me in line). Open play is open play, and I wasn't about to let these people run me out and get skipped, so I would say "Ok fine. I'll just stand here and wait on the court until someone finally comes to play with me." Then I'd wait around on the court until the Asian guys would finally get done with their game and come and play with me. A few people played in here and there but I had to stand there and wait and hold the court up to get someone to play THREE TIMES while I was there. The third time they tried to tell me I had to leave the court if I didn't have anyone to play with me. I know open play rules, that is a lie, and I stood my ground until I got a game as I was the next paddle up on the rack. I'm confused if they thought I was too good to play with them or too bad. I don't know what the big deal was. I think it was just that they wanted to play with people they already knew, but that's not how open plays are supposed to work, and you're not supposed to leave people who are next in line on the rack out. I didn't see any pros here this day, and I don't think I was a lower level than the majority of the people who were there. I don't know what the deal was but it was a ridiculous experience. The culture is bad here. It wasn't an enjoyable open play and I ended up just leaving mad at the poor sportsmanship/etiquette there. From 3-5pm I never saw or met the "court leader" at all though the front desk said a guy named Tim was back there. They came and looked for him themselves and found he was not in there. I don't know who or where this mystery man was, but this open play was a mess. I meant to look at some of the other amenities of the gym while I was there, but I was too annoyed with the pickleball that I forgot to look at the other stuff. I would recommend going to the YMCA in Bedford for pickleball instead. I've had better experiences there.

DONT JOIN HERE IF YOU WANT TO PLAY BASKETBALL! They have essentially turned the basketball gym into a day care. Every day in the summer and every holiday they use the court for a day care for kids. On the weekends, they throw kids birthday parties and block the court. The facility is nice, but I joined primarily for an indoor basketball court and that was a huge mistake.

Here's a possible review for the gym:

This location is disappointing compared to other Life Time gyms. The equipment looks old and noisy, and the cleanliness is lacking—dust everywhere. The air conditioning isn’t great either, making workouts uncomfortable. If you're used to the higher standards at other Life Time locations, this one might not meet your expectations.

Been a member at several Lifetime Clubs for many years. I feel like rates go up and access goes down. Great gym but they just pack the place with classes. It's difficult to get to a squat rack and the majority are used for classes or personal training sessions that just seem to run back to back. Some class members even bring their kids to take up more equipment too. The facility, cleanliness, and amenities are great. The staff and trainers are friendly but the business focus is on filling classes.
I get it, classes make money but I pay my dues like everyone else and feel like the regular gym goer/lifter isn't being catered to anymore despite rate increases.

I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Karina at Lifetime Fitness for going above and beyond—not just once, but on 3 separate occasions—to help me look for something valuable I had lost. Unlike previous encounters where I was met with indifference and even a sense of burden from four other team members, that contributed to lower ratings. Sweet brunette with nose ring named Karina (which might be misspelled) showed true professionalism, kindness, and patience.

She didn’t just “do her job”—she treated me with genuine care, as if it were her own item that had gone missing. Her joyful attitude and excellent customer service turned what could have been another disappointing visit into a moment of restored trust in Lifetime’s values.

Because of Karina, I’m now seriously considering becoming a Diamond member. She is the kind of team member who represents everything Lifetime should stand for. If you’re looking for someone to promote—you’ve already got your star.

Thank you, Karina. You made a difference.

Life Time gets a 5 in quality of the facility, a 3 in maintenance of treadmills/equip, and a 1/2 in their value for typical club joiners. They could provide a basic plan for people with weight/health risks within the thousands of $$$ i have paid them in past 4 years. But for $200/mo, they will not even give you access to the InBody scale that would allow you to set a baseline goal and monitor progress to self manage your plan. They just don't want people there that don't have hundreds more to pump into their pockets. They are not very strategic in retaining customers.

They advertise as a Family Club but there are basically no activities for kids other than paying extra for swim lessons, we have to drive 30 minutes to the Alliance location so the kids actually want to stay at the kids club, they hate the one here in Colleyville, Alliance kids area is 4 times bigger and offer so many options and fun activities. It is ridiculous we are paying the same and get less services and classes than other clubs.

The Pickleball at Lifetime in DFW is the premier location for players of all skill levels, offering strong competition even at the beginner level. I’ve been playing for the past couple of months, and it has been a fantastic experience. However, my experience with the Life Clinic and personal training services has been disappointing. These services seem more focused on revenue than delivering real value. I invested approximately $700 in personal training, but my trainer was consistently late to every session. After I discontinued the service, he avoided interaction entirely. Additionally, the Life Clinic’s chiropractic services did not meet expectations, with my last appointment lasting less than 20 minutes despite being billed for a full session. Based on my experience, I would not recommend any of their paid services.

The aquatics department and changing rooms are not disinfected sufficiently. The chlorine levels in the pools are not adequate to prevent infection and mould & fungus growth. The changing room shower and sink areas are also not disinfected adequately. I picked up flu (influenza type A) during my last visit. Two days later, I was rushed to hospital in an ambulance and spent four days in the hospital recovering from a serious infection which nearly took my life away !!

This has happened on several occasions. The obvious premise is the class participants workout is more important than mine.

This is a good gym to work out at, especially for weightlifting and tennis. But the yoga needs a massive overhaul. The instructors are competent but need some advising on professionalism. I was in a class today where a person left and came back not once but three times due to a ringing phone, which rang on once for 10 minutes. The door locks, so different people actually stopped what they were doing to let her in. Then there is the audio: I'm a native speaker of English with perfect hearing but I could not hear a word the instructor was saying because the music was blasting and there's no mic with amplification. Finally, even beyond usual yoga room standards, the space is not clean: smells fungal and the mats stink. For over $300 a month, I think it's fair to expect much more.

I’m a diehard Lifetime goer as it is but wanted to leave a review on my experience today at the gym. There was a code 100 (medical emergency) and I watched trainers drop everything, grab emergency equipment and be down in the cafe in less than 45 seconds. Coach Deonte literally jumped a 4.5ft counter to retrieve emergency equipment on the wall in the center station upstairs and made it down before I could blink. Here’s to well trained staff and my lifetime family. From the gym floor to the childcare center - these are my people! Those considering the lifetime experience, if you have a family and are looking to squeeze all you can out of this place it is worth every cent. Do it!

But today, January 9th, 2024, I had the MOST uncomfortable and suspect situation I could’ve ever imagined. And mind you, I come to this gym EVERY DAY, like 6-7 days a week, sometimes several weeks in a row. But today, I checked in like usual, parked my truck in the lot, walked in through the front door, scanned at the front desk, and went about my day. I sat in the sauna for maybe 3 minutes, then went to the men’s locker room to freshen up. As I was attempting to walk out to the gym area, I was stopped and asked if I had snuck in through the back door? I was so confused about what they were asking because not even 10 minutes ago, I had checked in at the front desk. I repeated the question back to them, “What do you mean, how did I come in?” The staff member said I looked suspicious and mentioned that I had been described as someone who snuck in through the back door. I mean, seriously, picture this situation: the only young Hispanic male is the one accused of sneaking in through the back… In moments like these, I have to look deep within myself, stay cool, and remind myself that I am a college professor. I have my Master's, I own several local businesses, I manage nonprofits, but even more than that, I have to remind myself that there are still people who judge with their eyes before they judge with their hearts. I used every ounce of self-control to walk with the staff member to the front desk to verify that I had just scanned in not even 10 minutes prior. Following this, I asked for my membership to be immediately canceled. I’ll spare you the sob story, but not feeling welcomed in your own gym is not a good feeling. I spoke with a different staff member as I was canceling my membership who mentioned that they had seen me around the pump room—a room I have never been in, didn’t even know where it was, and hadn’t come close to that morning. They said I looked like “someone who snuck in through the back.” I have been through so much adversity in my life that nothing surprises me anymore, but I just want to put this message out to anyone else who may experience something similar: save yourself the $185.19 a month and find a gym that will embrace you with open arms. I simply can’t be a part of any club, society, gym, or organization that won’t have me as a member. And this morning, the staff made it clear that I’m not welcomed there. I don’t need an apology, not then, not now. Matthew 7:5.

Have been members for years. Beautiful facility but unfortunately the entitled members absolutely ruin the experience. I get resting between sets but sitting on a piece of equipment on your phone double digit minutes? Placing your towel and water bottle on a piece of equipment while working out elsewhere for 30 minutes? Is it really okay to dominate 2-3 machines at a time? Not wiping down the equipment after sweating all over it? Screaming and grunting and yelling to make sure everyone knows you are there-so much so you actually alarm other members? I get the whole gym mentality but this is ridiculous. Really hopeful this demographic will migrate to the forthcoming Westlake location.

I was called by an aquatics team member asking if I wanted to bring my kids in for a free swim lesson (ONE) to which I accepted. However, I was unable to attend the lesson due to schedule conflict. There was no mention of running my CC on file for absolutely anything! That was the end of June. My family never attended a swim lesson. August invoice rolls around I see an extra charge to my card for $157.50 so I call to find out what this was for and was told it was a recurring monthly service charge for swim lessons for my kids that I NEVER signed up for and NEVER granted authorization to run my card for. So, they tell me they will cancel the lessons and refund my card and it would take up to a week for it to reflect. That was August 1, I called again on August 9, and now again today because the money has not been refunded. Every time I call, I get the same answer: “we will cancel the lessons and refund the card”. And every week neither one of these promises have been kept, so today I asked to speak to the manager and was told it would be Monday before I would get a call from said person. This is dishonest business and makes me feel uncomfortable having my card on file with a company that feels they are at liberty with no authorization of any sort to just take money from people’s accounts for services they never signed up for and never rendered!!! I am happy at the Fort Worth alliance location but this was the location I originally signed up with before we relocated and I will certainly be transferring my “home” gym to Fort Worth and never stepping foot inside this old run down and untrustworthy establishment again. Pay close attention to your statements because you’re dealing with commission- greedy employees. The end.

My experience here has been extraordinary for the first quarter century that I have been alive. I have been a gym member here since 2006. Upon graduating college, I would typically show up at 5:50 am in the mornings on Wednesdays and Fridays before work. From Fall of 2018 to Summer of 2022 I was 100% always treated CONSISTENTLY the same. It appears as though the trainees, guests and customers have an obsession with talking about Credit Cards. I feel sympathy for one of the customers whose name I will not say. The heavyset gentleman insisted upon shooting a stranger. FIREARMS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT LTF. These words make my OLD hometown city look not quite as good as it used to. I have had 2 trainers here in the past and have no complaints about either of them. I LOVE Lifetime Fitness and have been to a total of 5 locations and I truly like this specific floor plan of this particular location off of Church street. I will always carve out some time on Sundays also known as the day of rest to work out at this location. I will always stay LOYAL to this location.

Clean, sophisticated, community building, and nutritional experts. Passionate and consistent fitness professionals. Value in going enough so your monthly costs are about $5/visit, whereas a drop-in group workout elsewhere can be $30+.

I have been (until yesterday) a member of Lifetime Fitness in Colleyville, since pre-construction (19 years). I loved the gym and was willing to pay a premium for it. I originally was told my rate would be "grandfathered" in as dues increased. That remained true for about 5-7 years, until they started making yearly $1-2/per month increases. Then last year they hit everyone with a $10/month increase. I complained to no avail like everyone else I knew. Then 4 months later in February, I signed my daughter up for the LT swim team. Then in May I realized I was paying more than I should have been. I asked them and was told that because I added my daughter, that triggered an automatic review by corporate, which triggered an algorithm to automatically raise my rate by $20 per month! I complained of course and the increase was reversed at that time but no refund given. It should be noted that they increased my dues and charged a higher amount to my credit card without any notification at all to me. They usually notify any dues increases by email. Now in September of this year (2022) I was again notified that monthly dues would increase by $20 per month. That would be a 37 percent increase over one year in time. I complained to the manager, Jeff, again, and was told that corporate was "catching me up" to everyone else's rate. So much for loyalty and being grandfathered in. I would not recommend Lifetime anymore, as they are a greedy corporation who no longer cares about the clients, but just the bottom line. Beware their shady business practices and be prepared to get your dues raised regularly, if you join!

Very nice facility. Immaculately clean and updated/renovated. I was happy to see that they have a hack squat machine, and a variety of other unique machines that aren’t at other LT locations. Definitely a step up from the downtown Dallas location. The morning hours were a bit busy, but there’s plenty of room for everyone!

Very nice location. However it sometimes smells poor and needs a better scent. The trainers are absolutely wonderful here! But it seems that Lifetime as a corporation does not value their trainers. They need to pay them better and create a better work environment for them to retain staff. The 3 stars is for corporate.

Great facility, offers lots of opportunities. Cafe staff are very friendly. I know there are other gyms less expensive but you get what you pay for and that generally means crowded, less clean bathrooms and fewer options or amenities. I'm happy so far and have a confidence I'll remain here. I reccomend it if you are the sort to pay more for nicer things.

You couldn't make up a dumber corporation. Lifetime Fitness already has tennis courts and racquet ball courts. At one point lifetime had two basketball courts, but at some point during Covid the Owner's IQ dipped quite a bit and instead of adding extra lines to either of the tennis courts or the racquet ball courts, the genius removed a full basketball court. Prior to Covid, everyday throughout the weekdays the basketball courts would both be packed. Now in 2022 there's a daycare on one basketball court and Pickle ball on the other. That leaves 0 basketball courts during the weekdays. If you want to play basketball at all you might as well wait until night time or go play outdoor basketball in 100 degree weather with 20 mph wind. Avoid this place!

This gym is the best. Their service is a 10/10, they have a great amount of parking and a perfect facility overall. It’s what a Life Time should be. It’s clean. So much to do and they keep doing improvements on top of it. The check in receptionists are always smiling and there’s always someone willing to help. I have forgotten my ring and multiple items a number of times in the locker and they have never been stolen - the staff will store it in a safe until you want it back. All of the staff is great. The steam room is the best - although it could be a little hotter. Also, never noticed it before but there’s only one basketball court and one pickleball court, no soccer or an extra available court. This is the only downside.

I was a member for a year. I am a transfemale. I called the location and let them know that I will be gradually transitioning to allow people to adjust. They did change my name and said they are happy for me. Made me feel welcome. The manger Jeff Persichitte many months later out of the blue wants me to prove I’m female. Maybe it’s because my augmentation isn’t until June. I can’t explain how bad this made me feel. It was my favorite gym. I didn’t bother anyone. I jus came and worked out. It was nice where I sent him proper etiquette for fitness center managers on how to treat transgenders. 1. Is do not question them gender as it can hurt their feelings. 2. Ask them if they are comfortable and feel safe. I’m doubt he read it because I emailed him back and said maybe I just need to find a place that is more accepting. Exactly reply I can cancel your membership for you. To add insult to injury he charged me an extra month. Stopped responding to my questions about how to make this better. Lifetime is not LGBTQ Friendly at least until this general manager is gone. So if you are one of us you may want to look for another fitness center.

This place has been amazing! It's been almost 2 years since I stepped into a gym and I wish I would have found this place sooner. I wanted to find activites for my children. So many choices for my little ones!

Karate
Rock climbing
Swimming
Parents night out
Tumbling class
Children's yoga

For me, I've tried the yoga and kick boxing class and love it! There's also a cafe inside the gym. It sells the normal deli variety but prepared in a healthy way. Its now a ritual for me and my kids to end our visit with pizza or chicken nuggets for them and me with a smoothie. The kids entrees do include 1 drink, fruit, bag of chips, and 1 protein. So much better than fast food!

The staff is super nice and always eager to help! Matt Shane has been super informative and pleasure to work with my registration process. The new GM-sorry bad with names, transferred from the Dallas location, and is super nice and is truly genuinely concerned of how my experience has been. The girls at the front desk always greet you with a smile.

Hands down I give his place a thumbs up! Only thing I would suggest is getting a member scanner for the kids center. The workers there have to enter your member number in manually everyone you check your child in and out. This takes time and some days we have to wait a little due to the volume of kids being dropped off. Please Lifetime! Help the staff. Invest in the scanner.)

4/2022 UPDATE: I cancelled my membership beginning of Covid. I'm just returning back after 2 years and it has been a pleasure working with the staff on transitioning back. Callie has been a ROCKSTAR on setting me up and informing of all the new classes and changes within the gym. If it wasn't for the impressive staff along with the awesome trainers I would not have returned. Thanks Life Time!

No other gym comes close to the quality of Lifetime. It's basically a country club without the golf course. Extremely friendly customer service that always goes above and beyond. Educated and experienced trainers that truly know their business. Amazing masseuse, nice spa. And once you become a regular, going to the gym is basically like going to hang out with friends. I'll be a lifetime Lifetime member.

Took out a 1 day pass to consider a subscription Saturday afternoon and the lady at the desk said it was valid for 24hrs so we could return the following day in the morning. When we came back the next day 2 of friends got there first and were informed that it was not 24 hrs but since we were misinformed they could enter. Once I arrived with my other friend and we told them the same thing we were advised that we could not come in even though the rest of our group got in with the same passes taken out at the same exact time and date.

It is ridiculous to have people who are considering a membership be treated this way and it is especially curious why 2 of us were treated differently than the others.

The take away now is that their staff misinformed us on what we were purchasing then didn’t care when we advised them that we given that bad information.

Avoid this place. Definitely not worth it..

I hate to give bad reviews but this place has the worst costumer service I've ever experienced in my life. No exaggeration. We would've gladly continue to go to this gym for years to come but we just couldn't any longer for that reason alone. Anyone one who's not in management here is a massive pain to deal with and if you ask to speak to a manager, they'll say "they don't really care" an associate has said EXACTLY that to us and didn't even try to reach out to a manager (one of MANY frustrating instances). A couple of positives, the management is very nice, the childcare is also great! The equipment, classes, instructors are all wonderful. Clean well kept place. I would've given 3 to 4 stars because of these positives but the service is so bad that I could not give more than 1. It's not like we ask for much. It's just that if you have to deal with them for any reason at all, they have such an attitude and are so unnecessarily difficult and rude. Everyone I talk to that goes here is also sick of it. A couple have cancelled too and others I know are planning to soon. Can't express enough. Don't go here!

Update: I cant stress how much I hate this place I could write a book about it. We know you see these reviews yet you stay silent like cowards hiding behind a screen

They sent me a magazine I never asked for and told me if I dont want to receive it I can opt out and not be charged. Although I was never charged this is sneaky and takes advantage of the fact that they have your billing info. I already pay $200+ monthly but it ain't enough for you leeches is it?

I absolutely love LifeTime Fitness. I go every day, to the point that the staff knows me by name. I honestly didn’t know what to make of that but I find it endearing.

They keep the equipment and the gym floor clean. Someone is always wiping on something when I’m there. The staff is friendly, as they make the best effort to make your experience personal.

My only hangup is that there are so many kids running. I’m sure their parents are somewhere near, but if you’re not tethered to them, I feel you’re not with them. I get nervous as they can fall at anytime unsupervised.
