Amazing place, very friendly staff, great pool, the lifeguards are very nice and the food is really good, they’re is so much to do here I love it! Highly recommend coming here. Please fix the outdoor mister sprayers and water fountains! Also a great addition to add here would be pool tables and ping pong tables!

Few things are irritating me to the point I almost want to cancel my membership. That’s on the table.
1. The staff is strange and sometimes weird. I’ll give an example.. in the middle of the day one of the locker room attendance was emptying out trash bins in the locker room. Most of them were less than 25% full, including the one directly in front of my legs, as I’m standing there with a razor to my face shaving at the sink. Why on earth do you think it’s acceptable to try and pull the trashcan out from under the counter 6 inches from me standing there without any clothes on?? it was not the last trashcan in the room. He could have waited until I was finished.
2. Maintenance issues. The main lap pool area smells like natural gas especially right at the locker room entrances. I don’t care what their excuse is, it’s unpleasant. Why do we feel the need to do construction on the sauna during business hours? I don’t want to hear jackhammering while I’m trying to relax in the hot tub or a cold bath next to it. That’s just a couple examples.
3. Cleanliness issues. You cannot even see into the water in the hot tub because there’s so many bubbles in the chemical smell is so bad that it burns your eyes if you’re in there for a long time. I said something a few times about that and it never seems to be cleared up.
The men’s area could benefit from a few *quick* hose downs throughout the course of the day. Let’s walk down the shower walkway and just spray a hose on the floor towards the drains at least to get rid of the piled up gunk The floor is disgusting. Same with the steam room. You walk in and immediately have to avoid places to sit and step.
The next one is a combination of staff and cleanliness. I understand the concept of them cleaning the showers at the end of the day, but can it wait until after closing time? It’s consistently in the way during the end of the day cleaning , soap all over the floor making it slippery, not knowing what showers can be used, tripping on the many hoses and machine while a bunch of people are trying to leave before closing time.
4. Other members.. and kind of a commentary on society.. I am not holding this against lifetime but how do we teach middle age men to shower before the hot tub and pool, and CONTROL WHATEVER IS LODGED IN THEIR THROAT AT A REASONABLE VOLUME in high echo areas (locker room, large empty pool room, steam room, sauna).
It’s so flipping unpleasant listening to constant hacking, coughing, throat clearing, nose blowing (where is it going??), repetitive gum chewing and nut job rocking movements on creaky boards, locker room loudmouths, and so on, in literally every area that’s not the work out room or outside. STOP IT! Quit being disgusting.

20-year-old gym that gets it right. Great people everywhere. Life's a mirror - surround yourself with good folks and life gets better. People here spot you, cheer you on, and talk smack about Texas football. Fellow Longhorns know what's up.
Kid Academy is golden. Rock climbing, karate, everything to keep your kids entertained while you work out. Plus parents' night out - if you have kids, this place just became your best friend. Pool's solid. Could use more pickleball courts (coming soon). A remodel wouldn't hurt either.
Yeah, it's expensive. But you get access to every Lifetime across the country when you travel. If that's too rich for your blood, Planet Fitness is down the street.
But here's the thing: you want a gym or you want a community? This delivers community with equipment that works and people who care. Management responds. Members look out for each other. Kids are happy. Parents get their workouts in.
Hook 'em Horns. This is Texas done right.

I transferred from another location and was disappointed once I reviewed flower mounds class schedule. Very limited classes and either super early or late in the evening. I had to cancel my membership for this reason. Would be nice if at least state locations were somewhat consistent with their classes.

We really love it here and have been members off and on for the past 15 years. Recently rejoined at this location. Staff is friendly. I do wish some of the following would be done:
- Calibrate treadmills/cardio equipment
- Upgrade or add an infrared sauna. This isn’t a must, just a nice addition, especially with the cold plunge. But do clean the dry sauna more often.
- More/better glute strength machines. One hip thrust machine and one kickback machine isn’t enough. There’s some great equipment out there that would be welcomed by all.
- Fix or replace broken/cracked equipment
- Add more cleaning stations: people don’t seem to wipe their leg machines down as much because there’s nothing over there to grab easily.

The basketball court is closed all day and the one time I want to take my son to shoot around it’s filled with people because the court is closed all day. The pickle ball area is never closed I mean NEVER closed. I pay a lot of money and it’s unfair for us that use basketball as cardio. Management needs a dedicated area that way it doesn’t need to be closed all day. This is the only lifetime I’ve been to that does this crap.

I am actually a member of the Las Colinas Lifetime but I visit the Flower Mound club every now and then for a change of scenery and to play against unfamiliar pickleball players in a different venue. Altogether, I've been a Lifetime member off and on going back to 2003, and while there's always plenty of comparison and criticism from members, there isn't a better fitness operation around.
Even though I don't go to this location often, I'm very comfortable with its layout because it's pretty much identical to my old club in Columbus, Ohio. While I have not taken any classes at Flower Mound, it is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and want in a club. In addition to the multitude of weights, classes, personal training, and treadmills, it also has a recovery area which, although smaller than Las Colinas, offers the massage chairs, cryo chairs and leg compression found at my home club. The #1 reason I belong to Lifetime from an amenities standpoint is because of recovery/rejuvenation - that alone is worth the price of admission. I love that Flower Mound took one of its two hot tubs in the main lap pool area and converted it to a cold plunge - so it's worth the trip when I go over there to play pickleball and then go to the tubs.
As for pickleball itself, the courts are next to the basketball court as they occupy part of what was once a full area devoted to hoops. The courts are side by side and have no dividers. Last time I was there the club left a basket of balls that everyone plucked from when they didn't want to chase down a ball from their court, which I don't think is a great fix as you end up with tons of balls lying around that someone could step or trip on. As for the pickleball experience itself, the players are friendly, the space is a bit humid, sometimes there's an attendant there - sometimes not. The experience is the equivalent of what you'll find at a municipal operation like Wagon Wheel in Coppell or L.B. Houston - smaller parks with some programming, except that Lifetime is indoors with fewer courts. I don't get the impression it's run very well, or that it's a top club priority, but it's good enough to work into my playing routine from time to time when I want to change it up.
Overall, the Flower Mound Lifetime, based on the time I've spent there, is an excellent health and fitness choice packed with value no matter your health mission.

Used to love going to the Flower Mound Lifetime Fitness until they rearranged all of the equipment and put the stationary bikes that used to have views outside, or over the pool, to look at closed office doors. For me personally, this was a gamechanger. I left comments, but never heard anything.
Membership customer service could put more emphasis on "service". I called and left a message for the memberhip manager Victoria and she never called me back. I had called and misunderstood the Lifetime rep who gave me her email address, so I had to sleuth how to reach her.
Why would one pay for a 30-day waiting period to put their membership on pause? This is a greedy new policy where Lifetime can collect extra money as the member who is experiencing a major life change does not know about this charge until it was billed to their account.

Awful place, only cares about bringing in new ppl. You can’t even use the basketball court most of the time because they use it as a daycare to make extra money. They got rid of the 2nd basketball court to bring in more pickleball memberships.
Update: another day today where they do an unscheduled take over of the basketball court. Nothing on the schedule; 30 ppl can’t play pickup at 6am
I’ve reached out, nothing happens

For such a high membership fee you would expect that things get fixed efficiently! The MAIN door is been out of order for a week now, the cardio machines take months to get repaired! Why is it so hard for a club of this level to offer better service and quality? And in response you only get the club apologies and “feedback appreciation”. TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS!

I had to cancel my membership due to the rising costs of everything about 2 years ago.. Finally felt I could financially manage to sign back up and the prices have ballooned up astronomically! I unfortunately cannot afford a $220 membership.
I was given a free pass to try out again and boy this gym has gone down hill since I last went! It is overcrowded, the machines haven’t really updated to the TechnoGym machines like other locations, the tile in the locker rooms and showers are dirty and in disrepair, the hot tub and steam room were down for maintenance, and the interior itself is just starting to show its age. Lifetime really needs to add a location in north Texas in Denton county as well as give this place a remodel. My $9.99/month planet fitness is much cleaner and newer equipment than this location and that’s sad.

I have been a member of this gym for quite some time, and it used to be a great place to work out and relax. However, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of the facilities and services recently, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.
Pool Closures: I recently received an email stating that both the indoor and outdoor pools are closed until further notice. The outdoor pool had just reopened after being closed for some time, and now it’s closed again. Despite these closures, the membership fees remain the same, which is quite frustrating.
Whirlpool Jacuzzi Maintenance: The whirlpool jacuzzi looks like it hasn’t been cleaned properly in a while. This lack of cleanliness is concerning, especially in a facility that promotes health and wellness.
Overcrowding: The gym has become increasingly overcrowded, making it difficult to access equipment and enjoy a good workout. This overcrowding diminishes the overall experience and makes it less enjoyable to use the facilities. Additionally, I’ve noticed children around 7 to 10 years old using equipment on the second floor, such as treadmills and bikes. The gym is already overcrowded, and allowing children who may not know how to properly use the equipment and are not really working-out only adds to the problem.
Pickleball Courts: There are not enough pickleball courts to accommodate the growing interest in the sport among members. This shortage leads to long wait times and limits the opportunity to play.
The gym used to be a fantastic place to stay fit and relax, but unfortunately, it’s not the same anymore. I hope these issues can be addressed promptly, as they are impacting the overall experience for many members.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.

UPDATE:
So it’s summer and the outdoor pool has been closed for 3 weeks. Jacuzzi has been broken for 3 months. Multiple treadmills and equipment with “taking a rest day” signs for many months. I bet Planet Fitness does a better job maintaining equipment
PREVIOUS REVIEW:
.Well, the prices just keep going up every other month. Why? Because they are “remodeling” by adding pointless sitting areas. It’s a gym people, not a work space. How about you upgrade the 20+ year old treadmills and equipment? Or actually clean the indoor spa area where nasty people bath and shave. Give me a break. There is even freaking black mold growing everywhere for Christ sake. I’ll be going to Club4Fitness down the road for $15 a month and they have new equipment, saunas and even an infrared sauna. Oh! And no mold! I’m not going to pay over $200 a month for a nasty outdated gym.

Despite paying over $200/month for a single membership, the value returned on my investment each month continuously diminishes.
It's the middle of summer, and the outdoor pool has been closed for weeks, one of the spas has been closed and drained for months, and the sauna/steam rooms have been in a state of disrepair for years. The outdoor lounge chairs are always moldy and the field is not maintained.
The barbells are bent and never in the right places, the treadmills glitch or are completely inoperable every time I use them, the towel bins are constantly full and towels are strewn about all over the gym, and no one enforces the bag policy on the gym floor. The operations team is always huddled at the laundry machines talking instead of working.
Such a disappointment as this used to be a great club. Better to go to one of their many competitors at this point.

Large portion of the barbells are bent and have not been replaced for months. Majority of the treadmills have minor things wrong with them for months (touch screen not working, heart rate monitors broken and giving false heart rate warnings, buttons to adjust not working, etc). Overall good gym but seems like they struggle to maintain the equipment because of the amount of machines.

I definitely do not recommend this gym in the slightest. This gym is not family-friendly, and the staff (group fitness department and management specifically) is not helpful at all, too much drama between instructors and the club's own members. Staff ridicules its members, management does nothing despite receiving many complaints, this club is a disgrace. No ownership of the problems THEY create.

Other than the fact this gym is very spacious, very clean, has a lot of equipment, professional staff/trainers available for assistance and everlasting opportunities to get yourself busy + physically built... there are problems that I would like to point out. Maybe it's also the reason why a very luxurious fitness club only gets 3.8 stars.
There are members at this gym who are very ill-mannered. More specifically, racism and discrimination exists between the members and the staff denies it.
I've been chewed out, cussed out, and even nearly knocked over by no more than ten members while using this facility. Out of many encounters there were few cases when I nearly dropped weights onto my foot, had to divert my lifts oddly enough to either pull a muscle, or simply to drop the weight onto my entire body. All because of not more than a dozen crazy members with their "different motives/goals" at this gym.
After reporting these incidents to the gym staff and management, all I've received was "we'll get back to you" + "we do not tolerate that type of behavior and will act accordingly" and.. nothing for almost six months. No callbacks, no voicemails, no emails, nothing. Obviously.. they DO accept it and these specific members not only never stopped, but a few of them decided to bring some friends over to add on the pressure.
For nearly six months, it feels as if I paid my membership just to get harassed & gang-stalked while working out. It's time to call it done.
So to all you new members looking into LifeTime, beware, and if the staff or anyone denies it, well... they might've temporarily fixed it by playing

The price is high. The service is great in general. Their swim school is very underwhelming. They barely use half a full length for the advanced kids, and most teachers are about 17 and immature. It's a random lifeguard who didn't know they were teaching that day or that lesson. The teacher was chatting with a lifeguard on duty half of the time, not even looking at my kid's swim, and I never saw any instruction on how to move the arm, legs, body, nothing. At the end, they just say, "He's doing great.". You have a beautiful facility and I am already a member. If you redo your program and hire real teachers, a lot of members will choose to have their kids learn there instead of outside swim schools like most people currently do.

The most important thing about a gym is cleanliness. There was a rat that lived in the indoor pool/ spa area for a while. There are always bandaids or other yucky stuff in the pool. The bathrooms are so upsetting. Every time I go in there there is pee and toilet paper all over the place. A couple times I left some hair/skin care products in the bathroom and I would call a few minutes after I left and realized I forgot them, and the staff would ensure that they would put them in the lost and found. And when I would return to get them, they had thrown them out and would just say "oh no, sorry about that".... The only reason they have two stars is for a good assortment of workout machines and the front desk staff is pleasant.

After over 5 years as members we cancelled our membership. $320/mo for our family of 4 wasn’t worth it. Steam rooms consistently broken in the locker rooms, dirty water fountains, if one spa isn’t broken then the other one is, teen boys over crowding the weight area just to play around with each other half the time, extra fee to use the outdoor pool (why a fee all the sudden?), LifeCafe food Is over priced and under delivered over last 2 years in addition to them being closed randomly, broken machines constantly, the list goes on. Upon my cancellation I brought up my concerns and was responded to with “ok your cancellation has been processed” instead of a conversation on how the club could improve.

It used to be great. I mean when we first came here the family deal we got was amazing, the equipment was amazing and they had 2 basketball courts and 1 would be taken up for a kids camp or volleyball or pickle ball once in a while. Now without asking basketball players how we feel about all this, they changed the first gym into a whole pickle ball court and took out the hoops but yet still the kids camps and volleyball players are always taking up OUR side of the gym! Almost every time I come I can’t even play. In the near future I’m cancelling my membership, they don’t care about how their customers feel and I can’t ever play basketball anymore.

I just start my membership at this gym but... I used to go to another gym (way cheaper) and it was FULL of equipment and machines and a biiig space with anything you need to workout. And I really don't understand why there is such a small equipment area in here? I thought I was going to go upstairs and found hundreds of machines.. and no! I was really disapointed. I think the high prices are just because of the pool area and courts, pretty much it.

The Yoga studio is in what seems like an afterthought of a room with zero natural light you have to get to by first entering a basketball/pickleball court?? I was really disappointed in this. It was dark and about the quarter of the size of the rooms at Baybrook which was the previous location I frequented. Maybe it's an older club and comparing the two isn't a fair assessment - but it's also more expensive. I just assumed the studio would be nicer and not shoved into a dark corner.

Back to Lifetime again after 2 years. Last time was at Lifetime in Dallas. It even better at Flower Mound location, IMO. Everything is so nice, bigger, and spacious. Signed up right after my tour and thanks for showing me around and answered all my question (forgot the young lady name).
Love all the facilities: pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, rock climbing, cardio and workout tools etc, big and clean restroom and changing room, very good and clean towels, hair dryer, hair spray, lotion, shampoo, shower gel, etc...
Spent 5 hours each day the first 2 days back here and joined yoga class, feel so good, relaxing, full energies and fresh after!!!

Swimming department review: This club suffers from really poor management of the swimming department. I am really disappointed with yet another removal of head coach - with just over a week before a swim meet and no discernable plan in place to replace him. Our children were thriving under the tutelage of Larry and we, the parents, were not asked for our opinion on how the children were being coached. This is our 3rd coach within the last year - continuity of care to these young athletes is certainly not a priority for this club! Avoid at all costs of you are looking for a swim centre for your children - rather find a club that actually cares about their well-being! Oh and when you reply asking me to call and speak with your team, please note that we have spoken with the club manager who told us to take our kids to the LAC if we were unhappy - no point discussing any issues with someone who cares about her customers so little.

I do not recommend putting your children in any of their aquatics programs. We did swim team here for 6 months with one of the best coaches my daughter has swam for and aquatics management abruptly fired him a week before a meet, cancelled practice, and replaced a good head coach with a swim instructor. Parents and children were notified via email of this change which is tasteless and tacky. If this was a single occurrence I would look passed the mismanagement of their aquatics program but this happened twice in 6 short months.
Great club for adults but leadership does not value the family gym experience. If you have kids and want them to participate in any programs I recommend going to a different location. If you need a swim program in the area the only good option is LAC.

Wayyy to expensive, I have pay extra to use the massage gun and normatec even though I’m paying at a high rate, closed down the other basketball court. Too expensive and now pretty much the same as a regular gym I could pay $20 a month

Cancelled my membership today. Paying $200 a month for 2 people and they exploited me for additional money that I thought was part of my membership. Rarely are many options open and they request extra money for assumed membership norms. Asked to try certain activities and they requested $40 per hour. Pool areas are loud, humid, and not relaxing. Very dissapointed and staff could care less about valid complaints. Lesson learned. Finally when I cancelled membership, there was a 30 day cancelation policy.

Life Time,
Maybe you gained a substantial number of new members by closing down one of the two basketball courts to build pickle ball courts. For me personally, you substantially de-valued the membership. Funny, I have never seen the pickle ball courts full. Only once have I seen two of the three pickle ball courts being used at the same time. When there were two basketball courts , there could be volleyball played on one court, and still have a basketball court open. Not anymore.

whoever chose to take out the second basketball court for a pickle ball court should be fired. now they get pickle ball all the time and the kids get the other court it’s rediculous. whoever made the change should be fired. like really replaced a basketball court with a pickle ball court come on lifetime!

Former happy member. I Strongly encourage any perspective new members to tour the facility to ensure that what is being advertised as an amenity, training space and equipment is truly available as you would expect it to be.
Within the last few months I was slowly driven away. I really loved the facility and all that WAS offered and was even okay with the price increases until spaces that I enjoyed were taken away.
The most impactful of these was the loss of the basketball courts so that the club could cater to a small minority of folks that play pickleball, and man do they play ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. I even had no issue with working around that and simply utilizing the courts when I could. Apparently this was not satisfactory to the pickleball community so the next step taken by the club was to remove basketball goals, half of them PERMANENTLY removed. Why? This makes zero sense. What was wrong with leaving the gym and courts as a MULTI FUNCTIONAL SPACE? One of the worst decisions I can imagine management making. So, on to another I have gone and will not be returning.

I downgraded from frisco so I go here sometimes and the staff has always been really nice , but the price point vs quality is just not adding up. Ugly locker rooms, ugly showers, to me seem outdated, u have to carry around a Key, and if you loose it they charge you $40. They also have a shared sauna ( co ed) which is really weird to me. Almost every gym I’ve been a member at you had your own sauna in the locker room so you could wear short shorts and not have guys staring at you. It feels just like 24 hr fitness or la fitness to me. And actually those gyms have more equipment And they charge like $40 a month there. I canceled my membership because I can’t justify paying 160$ to workout here. Sry.

Very helpful staff, clean facility, excellent food, and wide range of equipment. Even though I spent more here for a day pass than any other previous gyms this was hand's down the nicest and most up to date gyms that I've ever attended. Great experience for those who've never stepped foot into a lifetime. You'll are awesome!!!👍

This gym now epitomizes every negative aspect of corporate culture. Whatever team is over revenue management for lifetime did a poor job during COVID and in order to recoup costs, membership doubled. The blow response from the manager to a review about the membership price is laughable "prices can adjust periodically depending on when the member joined...." the price had been 79 for years and then after they realized they didn't manage funds correctly during COVID they doubled the price for an individual membership. Much like corporations using taxpayer money to get bailed out of situations created by their horrible management; this gym is extorting members to make up for their poor management. None of that money has gone back into the gym

I USED TO really like this gym, however the last 6 to 9 months policy changes have killed it. DO NOT JOIN:
-equipment can't be used sometimes because it is being used for a class. These classes cost extra on top of a normal membership which is already pricey. So you better hope you don't need a bench when classes are using them
-the basketball courts are always being used for something other than basketball. Birthday parties, summer camp, volleyball, pickleball etc
-pool is constantly being used for bday parties and summer camps
-large raises in dues

I had a membership here around three years ago and I paid $79 a month. I thought it was a fair price considering the amenities. Since then I have had two knee surgeries and had a baby. I called the other day to see about pricing because I was wanting to rejoin. The man quoted me a monthly membership of close to $180 per month. I wouldn’t say this gym is top-of-the-line, and it’s definitely not worth $180 per month. Why, lifetime? Why in just 3 years has the membership cost more than doubled?

Good location from the standpoint of the pool area, weights and cleanliness but they really need to update the men's steamroom with a unit that functions consistently. Also, if you are annoyed by lots of kids running around, you may not like this location. In some aspects, this gym is due for a facelift in order to remain price relevant.

Use to go here till covid. Plan on going back but the price is so ridiculous. 2 people for the price of a car payment. 250 a month plus 150 fee if I wanna use the outdoor pool. The gym is nice but for literally 3000 a year, I can build my own gym for that. 150 fee for an outdoor pool? Wet n wild has 10x more rides and pools for less than that. It was crowded when I was a member and I guess this is how u price people out. Wish the company the best of luck but I am not signing up for those prices.

Over-priced and under-delivered. Also, be aware that some of the prime equipment they show you during your tour is reserved at peak hours by classes (which are more $$$). Glad there are better gyms moving into the area for literally 1/5th of the cost.

Incredibly disappointed. I’m a huge advocate of businesses focusing on relationships with their customers - and that factor alone will keep my loyalty for years. Lifetime, however, is 100% transactional, and only cares about profit. The staff is unfriendly, and hardly acknowledges you when you walk in. Anytime you try to ask a question, or even have a simple conversation with them, they seem annoyed and try to brush you off. Their front desk has possibly the worst service I’ve seen in a business. You pay WAY too much money, upwards of $1,200 a year for a single membership, for equipment that isn’t kept serviced, overcrowded spaces, and rude staff. I tried to bring my fiancé as a guest, and they charged me $40 for a guest pass - unreal! They also charge you for an additional month when you try to cancel. As I said earlier, they are strictly transactional with no consideration for their members. I strongly advise not to sign up at this gym - it is not worth even the pocket change in your wallet.

My car was hit by another vehicle while in the parking lot at LTF. Their security cameras only extend to the first few rows. So I'll be paying for the damage out out of pocket. If your car is hit or broken into, you're on your own. God forbid someone is attacked or rob in their parking lot. Unacceptable for a gym that charges $100 a month minimum per member.

Even though I am parting ways with this gym, I still gotta say that compared to others in the area this one is definitely a great one. You definitely do get what you pay for with all the free weights, benches and squat racks this gym has. There's just about a little bit of everything for everyone at this gym, for me I was able to utilize the weight room, the heavy punching bags, and the indoor/outdoor pools they have. The staff goes around regularly to make sure the gym is kept clean, equipment is wiped down and weights are re-racked.
