I’ve been taking Coach Maria’s tennis classes at Life Time Galleria for almost a year now—starting from absolute zero—and my only complaint is that I’ve had to buy more tennis shoes and gear because it’s just that addictive. Maria is the rare coach who’s patient, genuinely fun to work with, and laser-good at spotting that one thing you can correct for instant improvement. She’s not just a tennis coach—she’s a mental coach too. I came to learn how to hold a tennis racket , but now I’m setting goals to play 5.0 tournaments! Oh gosh… this review might make it even harder to book time with her on the court. The club itself is top-notch: well-maintained, with nine indoor courts, so rain, heat, or Houston humidity won’t get in your way. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly, and they have great tennis programs for kids. Highly recommend if you are around.

Lifetime Galleria by far is one of my fav gyms to workout at. I really enjoy coming here. Besides the friendly staff, clean gym and locker rooms, I have enjoyed getting to know the members that workout here. People overall are very friendly here and majority of members are respectful of each other. Earlier in the year, I did the play love learn classes for tennis and really enjoyed them. Coach Carlos and Maria were both great instructors. I may begin doing private lessons with Coach Jacob. I also recently did a pickleball lesson with Dave Vo and he is an amazing instructor. He was very patient in teaching me and showed me the right way to play. The pickleball league is also a great way to meet other people in gym and make new feiends. I am currently working on my own weight loss journey and lifetime galleria is def helping me in achieving my goals of looking healthier. Thank you Lifetime Galleria

Compared to other Life Time locations, this one felt like a mini version. No complaints. It's a great spot if you wanted to get in a workout or some reps on the pickleball court, all without fighting a crowd. What stands out compared to the other locations are the people. Everyone is personable and incredibly nice but the standout is Mary. I've played a little bit of pickleball before starting to come here but needed some coaching. Lifetime Galleria has been my lifeline for staying healthy, happy, and active. From pickleball to tennis to the gym, it has remained steadfast in making sure that having fun learning and playing have been important to their members. They maintain friendliness and cleanliness throughout the facility. It all started with tennis many years ago. The pros are knowledgeable and well organized for activities such as lessons, league, charities, and just fun play. I thought my days of playing racquet sports was over when I tore my rotator cuff. Coming back from surgery, tennis was still playable but with limitations of quantity. But what did I find that was fulfilling and keeping me very active…Pickleball! Knowing nothing about the sport, I was quickly drawn into the game. I had to learn it! From the start and with continuing support, Ben and Dave are there to get me going and having fun. It didn’t take long to find my adrenaline and endorphins spiking with the sport. In comes Trang, Mary, Alex and Dylan all there to make my game even better with leagues and additional playing time on the court. But FYI, my fellow pickleballers, and I hope that we are heard, we are needing(!) another day time of organized open play…hmmm, I think Wednesday afternoon looks open!! Trang, the pickleball league organizer, is awesome! I love participating in the tournaments she organizes — they’re always fun and time-efficient. I also really enjoy the Saturday open plays because Trang does such a great job matching players by skill level and even makes little name tags for each paddle.

I became a member of Lifetime Tennis in it’s opening year and played tennis regularly. When we heard the Pickleball courts were coming, we saw it as the collapse of the club. We thought several tennis courts, already hard to book, would disappear. But, the four Pickleball courts that emerged from the old court five worked out beautifully. Been a member of Lifetime for several years with the Galleria Lifetime Tennis location as Lifetime home but with access to most Lifetime locations nationwide. Nine well lighted, clean,and well maintained tennis courts gave me and several fellow refugees from the Houston City Club opportunities to meet up for "dubs with buds" one or two times per week. Indoor, air conditioned, managed access, supplied, supported, provisioned bar and restaurant support served us very well. Professionals were( and are) regularly available for lessons ( small group or individual) or drills.

Lately, one tennis court has been converted to 4 Pickleball courts and they've been opened for play. Again for PB, the courts are well managed for access and play by a group of ( 5-6) of highly skilled/ranked players of the game. They recruit, teach, train, rank, team-up, match-up players and set up group matches, leagues, tournaments and they manage open play sessions which are usually staged by player rating to keep them fun.
As a Pickle ball enthusiast, I can now expect to find at least 90 minutes per day 6 days/week of play. Favorites now with the
"older guys" sessions a few times per week ( thanks Ben, David), and league play with Trang (she's great at this!) puts me with and against 16 to 20 players on 4 courts for three ( fabulously exhausting) hours.

I have an excellent experience here. Great indoor tennis courts and gym’s facilities. The pros are nice to coach the various drills for all levels. The tennis manager Gary is very professional and has a great work ethic. I’ve been taking lessons from him for the past months. Super clean and modern. State of the art gym and facilities as well as tennis courts indoors in the center of the city. Covered parking with private area for club members next to the door to the club. Friendly front door staff and amazing coaches for any type of lesson you want. When I moved to Houston I joined Lifetime Galleria specifically to get back into tennis. Coach Maria Graterol was absolutely amazing! Not only did she run a great drill, she made a point to find out about me and, connected me with other players at my level. She also reached out to let me know if a spot opened up in a full drill. Her drills helped me get back to my level after taking a year off. I truly can not say enough about how greatful I am to Coach Maria.

Lifetime Galleria has always been known for its well established Tennis program. However, Lifetime Galleria has an outstanding Pickleball program that is a hidden gem among those who enjoy playing the sport. This club has four indoor designated Pickleball courts and outstanding Pickleball coaches like Ben Ebers, Dave Vo, and Dylan Nyugen whom I’ve personally worked with. They have impressive leagues that are organized and well run, and front desk staff who are welcoming as soon as you come in. I have played pickle ball at other Lifetime facilities but this is my pickleball home.

Pickleball league and open play times are great, specially on Saturday, the open play is manage on point! With very competitive matches,( thanks to Trang). Very good pickleball coaches too. Tennis and reception staff is very friendly. Alex is always ready to hit and/or play, he has very good disposition.

The only thing that the club has to look into, is that the lights on the pickleball courts have to either install more lights or re-arrange the lights. Courts are too dimmed.

Great facility and amazing staff who actually get to know their clients!

Part of me wants to gatekeep this but I suppose it's that good I should share... Benjamin, their pickleball lead, goes above and beyond putting together their pickleball program - taking the time to match up clients and schedule varying times through the day and week for open play. It has been the greatest tool in improving my skills as a beginner player. In addition, their clinics from Dave have been immensely helpful. Dave is patient and enthusiastic through his lessons, and is always willing to dole out advice if he catches you playing!

Lifetime Galleria Tennis is honestly one of the best places in Houston for tennis and pickleball. It’s the only Lifetime in the area with indoor tennis courts, which makes a huge difference with the weather here. The energy and community at this club are awesome — everyone knows each other, the staff is always super friendly, and you can tell they really care about the members.

Big shoutout to Trang and the pickleball team — she does an amazing job making sure everyone feels included and has fun, no matter the skill level. The rest of the pickleball staff is great too, always positive and helpful.

They also run amazing tennis and pickleball events all the time — some of the best I’ve seen, even compared to clubs like Greenway. It’s definitely a tennis and pickleball-focused gym, but the fitness area still has everything you need to get a good workout in.

Pickleball at the Lifetime Galleria is amazing. The JOY I get from playing pickleball in league organized by Trang is just perfect. The gym is small, but very functional and includes all the necessary equipment. It’s also clean and is rarely crowded. The pickleball and Tennis really shine here though. I have played open play Pickleball and in a tournaments and the way they were both run was exceptional. Very disappointed with Junior Tennis program, my six year old son joined the Tennis Junior classes about 15 months ago and he never improved his game and this year when we came back to join the classes again the instructors started him as a beginner, I was totally Insulted because after so much time and money expended , we never got any where , my advise to anyone who is looking for Junior tennis classes for your children Do Not consider Lifetime tennis they are not worth it , I also called the lady in charge to complain and cancel and she was not concerned about my cancellation nor the reason 😡😡👎👎

I had a very disturbing experience at Life Time Fitness. While I was working out, someone opened my locker, stole my bag, and left all my other belongings inside. This happened within a few hours, during my time at the gym.

I reported it to Maribel, who is in charge of the women’s locker keys. Her response was deeply disappointing — she told me I could call the police, but that they probably wouldn’t do anything. That kind of comment from someone with access to the locker system made me feel completely unsupported.

The manager on duty offered to check the security cameras the following day, but there was no immediate action, no urgency, and no sense of real accountability.

For a gym that advertises itself as a premium facility, this was a completely unacceptable experience. I left feeling vulnerable, frustrated, and unprotected.

I do not recommend Life Time Fitness if you value your safety, your belongings, or expect to be taken seriously when something like this happens. What happened to me could easily happen to you.

Lamento mucho tener que informar que en la tarde noche de hoy día 31 de Julio del 2025, mi hijas que son miembros de este gimnasio desde hace ya bastante tiempo, les fueron robadas de sus respectivas taquillas objetos personales de valor que se encontraban guardados mientras entrenaban en el sitio, informo además que mi hija me llamo muy nerviosa y fui al lugar, al llegar la empleada Maribel presente al escuchar que pedíamos llamar a la policía, se acerco a mi hija y luego a mi para decirnos en tono bien sarcástico que con llamar a la policía no íbamos a resolver nada, pues ahi no iba a pasar nada por ese robo, que en otras oportunidades eso había ocurrido en el departamento de hombres y no se había hecho nada por arreglar el asunto, es importante aclarar que en presencia del manager del turno le preguntamos a la señora Maribel si alguien mas tenia las llaves de las taquillas y ella afirmo que solo ella las tenia, que ella no las daba a nadie, aclaro este punto para que se sepa que ambas taquillas, estaban cerradas con contraseñas personales creadas por mis hijas. Se hizo la denuncia a la Policia, porque es inconcebible que en un sitio de aspecto respetable y serio, donde se paga una membresía y que sucedan estos hechos tan desafortunados que empañan la opinion del publico sobre el lugar, estamos muy disgustadas por esta situación y lo expondremos donde gusten escucharnos.

I deeply regret having to report that on the evening of July 31st, 2025, my daughters—who have been members of this gym for quite some time—had valuable personal belongings stolen from their respective lockers while they were training at the facility.

I was informed of the situation by one of my daughters, who called me in a very distressed state. Upon arriving at the gym, the employee named Maribel, who was present and overheard us requesting to call the police, approached my daughter and then me, and in a very sarcastic tone told us that calling the police wouldn’t solve anything—that nothing would come of it, and that similar incidents had happened before in the men's locker room without any action being taken.

It is important to note that, in the presence of the shift manager, we asked Ms. Maribel if anyone else had access to the locker keys. She stated that she was the only one with access and that she did not give the keys to anyone. I want to clarify that both lockers were secured with personal combinations set by my daughters themselves.

A police report was filed because it is unacceptable that such a serious incident could take place in a facility that presents itself as respectable and professional—especially one where members pay for their use and expect safety and trust. We are extremely upset about this situation and are prepared to share our experience wherever our voices will be heard.

Great facility. Primarily use the gym floor. Not busy, so easy to get all your workouts in. I have been in the morning, afternoons, after work, and weekends. The courts seem lively and always in use. If there one thing I can ask staff to do is clean the locker rooms/toilet facilities a little more thoroughly. The urinals could use a good scrub, or perhaps change the cadence a little more often.

If you play tennis this is your mecca. I should've paid more attention to the fact that they explicitly named this location "Lifetime Tennis." If you're here for the gym I'd suggest going somewhere else, the gym is equivalent to a nice hotel gym. It's a small room, with enough equipment to get a workout in, but you'll feel like you're having to compromise on equipment if lifting weights is your thing. Also, parking is a pain - took me calling to find out I need to park on level 3 of the orange garage. 4 stars bc it's a nice place and clean but I don't see any reason to come here other than for tennis.

Should be called Plane Lifetime. Here visiting the area, and thought I’d continue my workout here since I’m an adult with my ish together. After completing the side quest to find this place, I walked into what had to be a planet fitness with an obnoxious amount of tennis courts. The “weight room” consisted of 1 bench, 1 incline bench, 3 adjustable benches, and a bunch of machines and cardio…it’s typical of what you’d find on a resort or a cruise ship…luckily it looks like a real lifetime is down the street…the staff here is cool though

I was shocked that this gym was really nice. I normally go to the greenway location, but I got stuck in traffic in the galleria area. The gym area is very clean, and empty. The tennis courts were busy with people playing. I will definitely come back. Parking is similar to citycentre/green street locations, you have to drive up to find parking.

I really love this place. I feel so grateful to have found it. I feel that it is really a family - from CJ/Alex/Meg and everyone up front - to Don (the manager) - the tennis pros (who are amazing and are real cool) Leo, Bobby, Jacob who are always there to lend a hand! Used to be the GTAC (Galleria Tennis and Athletic Club) and renovated by Lifetime Fitness. Great indoor courts, fitness machines, and friendly staff. If you love tennis, this is the place to play indoors near the Galleria, especially since Lifetime bought, then closed the Houston City Club.

The best way to get there is via West Alabama "behind the Galleria" once you're heading East and pass the hotel entrance, you'll see the parking entrance at the next stoplight.

From what I can see so far they are doing a pretty good job here. Not really a fan of the weird mesh type felt on the sauna and this is very unusual for Lifetime Athletic. They are usually very good about keeping things they may be off gassing fumes out of the dry saunas. I do greatly appreciate the fact it is very clean in here though. It is being maintained like it should, Thank God! Front desk receptionist was helpful. The bar tender here seems nice. It does seem like the lobby and entrance air has a bit of a odor, kinda like an old building smell or something. Maybe the could look into one of the third party air filters like many of the clubs got after COVID that has UV setting and a HEPA type filter to help prevent germs and allergens. At the end of the day though this is an excellent club and I would definitely recommend it. They are above average for sure; hence the 5 ⭐️. Thank You
