Wow, this gym is amazing! Just wanted to add that Dylan, the assistant manager, has been great. His customer service is awesome, and he really seems to care about the members here. It’s refreshing to get such good service, especially during the holiday season. Thankful for you guys this Thanksgiving!

Having to charge for a day pass not a good idea specially with all those bad reviews that this business has. Not sure why charging 300 for 1 star club. I have been to way nicer places that better than this one and still allow you to do 7 days pass for free

Life Time has been an amazing experience so far. The club is clean, welcoming, and feels more like a wellness community than just a gym.
A special shoutout to Armando at the front desk — his positive energy and helpfulness truly stood out and played a big part in my decision to join. He made the process easy and made me feel excited to be a member.
Highly recommend!

My Lifetime membership was terminated for allegedly “taking photos in the club.” In reality, the image I shared was a still from official police bodycam footage documenting an incident involving another member who became aggressive after I asked her to clean chalk off a barbell.
She began yelling at me, mocked my height, and — after saying she was finished with the squat rack — suddenly claimed she wasn’t and yelled at me as she backed me up against the rack. She placed her hands on my shoulders, and I removed her hands in response. Staff arrived after this had already occurred.
When speaking with police, a staff member called me a “rule follower” in a dismissive tone, while the other member continued insulting me (and the two employees laughed when she called me names to the police). It was only after officers mentioned the possibility of a citation that she claimed to feel unsafe. That shift is visible on the police bodycam footage — which I later obtained through legal channels.
I offered to share the footage with Lifetime Corporate. They were not interested. No consequences for the other member.
Meanwhile, other members routinely post photos and videos at the same club without issue, including from the bathrooms and locker rooms. This feels like selective enforcement and retaliation for speaking up about member and staff conduct.
I also raised concerns about professionalism at the club:
• The manager regularly overlooks basic safety and equipment policies.
• The lead trainer later pointed me out to others in a mocking tone and allowed a personal acquaintance to publicly ridicule me online.
This club may look polished on the outside, but behind the aesthetics is a pattern of unaddressed harassment, dismissiveness, and favoritism. If you’re a woman who lifts seriously, know that raising concerns may result in punishment — not protection.
I expected better from a brand that claims to stand for integrity, health, and member wellbeing.

I've been a member of Lifetime since 2020. I've used multiple locations and for some reason this is the worst.
You pay the most, but get the worst customer service. I agree with others in the reviews, the Alpha classes blare their music, where you have to turn your iPods all the way up just to hear your music.
My personal incident revolves around them cancelling my membership without them contacting me. I had to go to the front desk to get it re-activated for the amenities. And of course I get charged the full amount because it happened on the 1st of the month. Was this on purpose?!!!
I don't understand why Corporate and this location are so terrible!
Do yourself a favor and save your Money and Patience. This place will suck both of them dry.

Where do I begin. At the Service Desk. Listening to members, their frustration with billing and more. Staff turnover appears. Trainers have the standard ACE, NASM certifications, yet, lack fundamental subject matter depth in exercise physiology which is critical for 40+ members...the majority. Overpriced!
NOTE Every Lifetime club leaves the same response. Hmmm. Could it be corporate? Does the local club see or care? Or, does the local club only care about making its corporate mandated #?

The place is great. Good equipment. Ice baths. Sauna. Clean nice locker rooms.
Everything you want out of a higher end gym.
I never do the classes or pickle ball but loads do.
I also love there public working area. I find myself working here quite regularly.

When paying $400 a month for membership, having multiple pieces of equipment not working is not acceptable. They should have parts on hand and people working on this right away. Starting to see this more frequently. You can tell it’s a reflection of poor management.

Its clean & packed full of people .. Just too many people its got alot of equipment that is ultimate in muscle shaping. But they're always packed full of people. Too noisy always some unruly exercise class jumping off repeating 1, 2 , 3 , nonsense noise. But thats money for them so . It packed full of people. They need another gym just for kids cause its alot of childern running wild in gym too. Just not right they need their own play pen some else. Not in a gym for adults trying to stay fit. Jesus christ why is this so difficult?

I’ve been a proud Lifetime member for over four years—starting in the DFW area and continuing here at Lifetime Shenandoah since it first opened. I truly enjoy and appreciate all the classes you offer; they’ve been a big part of why I’ve stayed so committed over the years.
I understand that trainers may move on from time to time, but I believe the core class schedule, especially in the mornings, should remain consistent. Recently, I noticed that the Thursday morning Hybrid class is being replaced with GTX. This is concerning because the only other Hybrid classes are scheduled during the day when many of us are at work, making it difficult to attend.
Jerry has been doing a fantastic job leading the Thursday Hybrid class, and I believe it would be a great decision to keep him in that slot to maintain the consistency and quality that so many of us value.

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE this place the absolute sweetest people ever in the pickleball community. The spinning class is absolutely up to all of the hype, they picked the most energetic and happy woman to drive this class, which actually helped get through most of it. Pilates class was also very nice, the water slides are outside are super enjoyable. I came here for my birthday and brought two guests and has the absolute best time in the jacuzzi and sauna. We got ready in the bathroom and nobody complained, people just passed by and complemented us. I know this place is loved by many and i can see why. The massages we were given were super high tech and actually did something. The TRX class we took was also so incredibly encouraging and confidence boosting. If you’re on a fitness journey, this place is perfect, they have planned out diets and classes if you just feel a bit lazy sometimes like me. We miss you lifetime!

I really enjoy this gym. Membership concierge are always so friendly and welcoming. Gym facility is clean and equipment is laid out in an organized fashion. Locker rooms are well-stocked with all the necessities of getting ready for work in the morning. There's also a surplus of spots to sit and get a little work done such as the cafe or the tables on the second floor. Overall, this is a great gym that I feel would make anyone look forward to their workout of the day.

Fantastic Swim Party Experience at Lifetime!
We recently hosted a swim party for our 3-year-old toddler, and it couldn’t have gone better! From start to finish, Rachel was absolutely wonderful as the primary supervisor. She was attentive, patient, and so reassuring with the little ones to be as comfortable as possible. Her calm, confident presence made all of the parents feel at ease, knowing our kids were having an exciting time in safe hands.
Sophie, her team member, was equally impressive—friendly, energetic, and always ready to jump in to help wherever needed. Together, they made such a great team. The kids had so much fun splashing, playing, and laughing, and the event ran smoothly thanks to their professionalism and care.
I would highly recommend Rachel and Sophie for anyone planning a swim party for young children. They made the day special, safe, and stress-free for everyone.

I’ve been a member at Lifetime Shenandoah since opening and it is amazing but this particular review is about my experience in having my daughter’s birthday party at Lifetime. I want to start by saying the party was absolutely wonderful!! Rachel is the party coordinator and did a fantastic job! From communicating about the event to organizing and decorating, she went above and beyond!! The day of the party was completely stress free! Rachel and Bobbi took care of everything and made sure the party went without a hitch! I’ve been training with Ben at Life Time since February 2025, and it’s been a transformative journey. I’m 61 years old, plant-based, and had never worked out in a gym before starting with him. We meet three times a week at 6AM, and from the start, Ben has been incredibly patient and supportive—especially as I was learning the basics.
He structures each session around a full-body workout and is extremely conscientious about injury prevention. That was a huge deal for me, especially as someone newer to this kind of training. He makes sure my form is solid and that I’m progressing safely.
What’s impressed me most is how he’s respected and worked with my plant-based lifestyle. Even though he follows a standard diet himself, he’s been understanding and encouraging—and he’s helped prove that real strength and gains are absolutely possible on a plant-based diet. I’ve seen major improvements in how much I can lift, and I feel stronger, leaner, and more energized than I have in years.
He also keeps things fresh by changing the workout routines every month and even set me up with a training app I can use when I travel. My goal is to get stronger and have a great beach body, and thanks to Ben, I’m well on my way.
I would absolutely recommend Ben to anyone—at any age or fitness level—who wants to feel better, get stronger, and train with someone who truly cares.

Just joined recently and I’ve been having a really good experience so far. The front desk staff is super friendly, it’s not too busy (at least when I go), and I really like how the place is laid out.
The only small thing I’ve noticed is that the locker room could be a bit cleaner. I’ve worked in fitness management before, so I get that keeping everything spotless can be tough with a steady flow of people. Still, at this price point, the expectations are a little higher. It’s not gross or anything, just could use a little more attention.
Overall though, it’s been a great experience and I’m happy I signed up.

I drove to this gym from Willis 5 times a week. I enjoy the variety of equipment and the classes available. I also like the adult only pools! What I look forward to most after my workouts is the steam room. I don’t have to take allergy medication when I get to use it. Unfortunately, it seems like about 1/3 of the time it is not working properly and that really ruins the rest of my day. I hope they can work to keep it running better in the future.

For the price of membership, the restrooms do not get enough attention, they need to be cleaned more often. And the toilet paper is cheap ive seen better toilet paper in a planet fitness. At the price point you would think they would have a bidet or at least high quality toilet paper with a better dispenser than the big lock toilet paper lock dispenser you see in a walmart.

I’ve been going to Life Time The Woodlands for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best gyms in the area. The facility is huge, clean, and modern, with everything you could need — from top-notch cardio and weight equipment to a beautiful pool, sauna, and spa.
The group classes are a big plus — energetic instructors, lots of variety (yoga, spin, strength training), and a great vibe overall. The kids’ area is also fantastic, making it easier for parents to enjoy their workouts.
Yes, it’s more expensive than other gyms, but you really get what you pay for. The atmosphere feels more like a health resort than just a gym.
Highly recommend if you’re serious about your fitness and wellness.

I love this gym and ive been a member of many. All the staff is absolutely amazing from the checkin desk, cafe, trainers and everyone else who works at the facility. It is expensive dont get me wrong but you get what you pay for. It is definitely worth it if you take the classes and do the extra things. The gym does plenty of extra things for its members as well. The kids club is great and the reason we chose this gym. The hours are better than most gyms and you can have a parents night out friday or Saturday for a date night with your spouse or just relax at home. They have plenty of lap pools 3 total and 2 kids pools, one of which has water slides. They have plenty of classes to take which include gtx, alpha, biking, zumba, yoga and ect. The locker rooms each have cold plunge, hot tub, sauna and steam room. There is also a family locker room as well. Recover section is amazing and all equipment is well maintained. I would definitely recommend to become a member here.

Absolutely blown away. I’ve only been here a week and I’m speechless. Life Time Shenandoah is hands down the cleanest, most professional, and welcoming fitness club I’ve ever stepped into. I came in from Villa Sport and immediately knew I was stepping into something different.
As a parent, one of the biggest highlights for me has been the Kids Club. I brought my two daughters with me, and I was honestly blown away by how well run and secure the space is. The staff is kind, attentive, and clearly trained to make kids feel safe and entertained. My girls came out smiling ear to ear every time and they’re already asking when we’re coming back.
What really sets this place apart though? The people. Huge shoutout to Christian from the tech crew, you can tell he takes real pride in keeping this facility looking brand new, even a year after opening. Every inch of this place is spotless. Every machine? Feels fresh off the showroom floor. The staff is helpful, the vibe is high-energy yet respectful, and the amenities are next level.

My husband and I have been members of Life time since 2019 when we joined in Austin. We loved the North Austin gym, layout, amenities and kids academy (especially the outdoor play area) and continued our membership when we moved back to the Houston area with “Champions” being our home club. We like champions despite it having some shortfalls (namely the lack of leadership on protecting the family locker room from single men using it as passthrough access to the pool), but we were excited about Shenandoah opening and the promise of an even more elevated experience.
The facilities and overall layout and vibe is great. We are just typical workout people: no classes, no crazy moves, just weights, open-ended floor work and cardio. Unfortunately the gym is definitely geared toward classes because not only is the entire second floor (aside from Kids Club) reserved for classes, but the gym floor has several areas commandeered by group classes that not only take up the equipment, but also the soundscape! It’s horrendous to have to hear 4, sometimes more , competing sound systems and shouting over mics while you are working out. With all the negative news around Bluetooth and wireless noise cancelling headphones, we have started using more traditional wired headphones and it’s sadly impossible to enjoy a workout because of how loud and cacauphonous the noise is.
The kids academy staff is excellent (something great about LT in general), but there is no outdoor play which is really sad in a part of the world with pretty good climate year round for kids to play. They need to remedy this otherwise they may lose us as members as our child gets a bit older and really needs outdoor time as much as possible.
My husband complains of the men’s locker room pretty much anywhere, maybe men are just gross 😝. The ladies locker room is amazing here so no complaints.
Another outdoor amenity sadly lacking is the pool. It’s never open. We get warm weather here march to September and should be able to enjoy an outdoor pool we pay for year round, during a reasonable seasonal period. Keep it open more and keep more people happy and utilizing their membership in a way that encourages retention.
So really 3 things:
- add outdoor kids space
- lose the group classes every hour on the hour on the floor and ban competing music for main floor group classes.
- keep the pool open spring break through Labor Day
With these 3 things in mind, if they are very important to you, Villa may be a better gym. But I hope they can solve these problems because of my desired loyalty to Life Time!

If you're looking for the best gym in The Woodlands, Lifetime Fitness is the place to be. This massive facility offers everything you could need and more. From the moment you step inside, you’re met with a spacious, clean environment that feels both welcoming and high-end. The gym is packed with a wide variety of modern, top-quality equipment, all in excellent condition, making it easy to stick to your fitness goals.
When it comes to classes, Lifetime Fitness stands out with a great selection of free options to keep your workouts fresh and exciting. However, be aware that their Pilates class comes with an additional fee, so it’s important to check your membership details before signing up for that (although they do have hot Pilates for free. It’s just Pilates on the floor. No equipment).
If you’re into pickleball, this location has a huge, dedicated pickleball court that's incredibly fun to use, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player.
For those looking to avoid crowds, the best times to hit the gym are early mornings between 6am and 8am, or late evenings from 7:30pm to 10pm. These quieter hours make for a more enjoyable experience if you prefer a less crowded workout environment.
The on-site cafe is a great spot for snacks, food, or drinks. The chicken salad is a super good—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to end your workout. All in all, Lifetime Fitness in The Woodlands offers everything you could want in a gym and is an excellent choice for anyone looking to take their fitness to the next level.

Great gym, but they need to do more thorough cleaning of the locker rooms and lounge areas. If you come in the later afternoon/evening the locker rooms are often dirty, and there are live worms/parasites next to the cold plunge 24/7. A worker told me it was because there are no u pipes connecting to the sewer, so they will crawl up and stay in moist places. I don’t know if that is true, but me and several other members have shown the front desk workers pictures of the worms for months and nothing gets done.

LOVE Lifetime!!! This is our third "home" and waited years after moving from Cypress to the area for this one to open! The children's area is amazing and the staff genuinely care. We had a foster child we just adopted and she comes with trauma and they pay attention to what she needs. The gym also works with us on when we have short term placements and drop in visits. This is HUGE for our family. The classes are AMAZING. Molly's cycle class and Kristen P are wonderful!!!!!
Security...Mr Frank is THE BEST and always makes my daughter feel so special.
Front desk has the best customer service with very friendly staff!
I'm here 5-7 days a week. As is my husband. The weightroom is wonderful and we rejoined when this location opened bc of the space and cleanliness. However, I've never been to a Lifetime where the weightroom trainers have such poor etiquette! If they have a client, they'll do circuits. Completely understandable but on more than one occasion I've literally been kicked off an empty machine "bc her client is using it after she's done with her other machine." I've had a trainer and I work in together which is how it should be. But to kick a paying member off an empty machine bc your client will be using it when she's done with her other machine is unacceptable. Hire better trainers with better etiquette bc it keeps happening.

Life Time in Shenandoah is a high-end fitness club that lives up to its reputation with family-friendly amenities, pristine cleanliness, and an abundance of state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Its premium status draws members who value a top-tier fitness experience and can afford such luxury.
Unfortunately, this exclusivity also seems to attract bad actors, and the club falls short in addressing security and safety concerns—particularly in the parking garage. My vehicle was vandalized, only to find that the security camera system was either not functioning or not turned on. This lack of oversight is unacceptable for a club of this caliber.
The parking garage also presents significant safety hazards. It is undersized for the volume of traffic it handles, and reckless driving—often by drivers speeding up and down the ramps—is a common occurrence. I’ve personally witnessed a car-on-car accident on the down ramp. Thankfully, no pedestrians were involved, but given the conditions, it feels like a vehicle-pedestrian collision is inevitable.
For a club of this stature, Life Time must step up its game by implementing proper security measures and addressing safety concerns in the parking area. Enhancing security and improving safety protocols will ensure a stress-free experience that aligns with the high standards members expect. Until then, these issues cast a shadow over an otherwise outstanding facility.

Facility is impeccable and the equipment and environment are top notch, excellent design and layout. I joined mostly for child care options and that has been a big dissapointment. Outdoor pools are rarely open for children and the children's "classes" are sub-par. The front desk either has 6 employees standing around talking or 1 employee running around chaotically doing everything. I love the food, the spa, and the customer service at both. Pros are it's really clean, steam room and cold tub are nice and all the equipment seems new. There are a lot of classes but i don't do them. They have a children area and the Staff is all really nice.
Cons
No basketball court is really crazy to me. Not sure why they have a huge pickleball area but nothing for basketball.
The outside pool for the kids is rarely open.
The kids club is super small.
I just want to play basketball and do other sport activities anything other than pickleball which is rarely available anyways. You have to book that in advance.
Just hang a hoop up outside or in the garage or something.

I love lifetime and would love to join but the membership prices are so unaffordable. No student or other discount prices available and not everyone would be utilizing all of the amenities (especially if you don’t have children) to be paying $250-$350 a month to use the workout room and classes.

My husband and I scheduled a tour of this place yesterday.
When we arrived I was surprised for my initial impression to be that the lobby area was a bit cramped and there was just one bench to sit. Parking was challenging, with lots of people walking around and in the way in the garage.
We got there very early, so we didn't expect them to be able to take us right away which was totally fine. I was initially impressed when they had my name and seemed prepared.
However the front staff seemed overwhelmed. It was emphasized to us multiple times that they were short staffed and the tour wouldn't begin until the time scheduled. despite us reassuring them that was fine.
We were allowed to wander around and check out the gym while we waited which was nice. However, when we came back to the front at the scheduled time, the person set to tour with us still wasn't ready and just generally seemed really frazzled.
I was really excited about Lifetime Shenandoah and showed up prepared to get a membership for myself and husband despite the hefty price tag. ($350 a month with a $200 enrollment fee.) I was so ready I had actually almost signed up online (which I'm really glad I did not in hindsight.)
When the tour finally started I was informed that there was no rockwall despite it being advertised online (the nearest is in Memorial Area an hour away.) Pilates classes (which were also a big draw for me) are hundreds extra a month on top of an already pricy membership.
It was very apparent very quickly that the business model centered around getting you on property to spend even more money.
Cabanas at the pool? Extra. Pilates? Extra. Massage chairs? Extra. Then there were a whole suite of money spending opportunities like the salon, spa, stretching, lounge and cafe.
I don't know about you, but my mindset was that I would spend a lot of money on a membership and regularly make a day of it. But the membership cost is just the tip of the iceberg.
I also found the general layout of the place to be very overwhelming. The entrance area is small and butted up right by the door. People end up spilling out behind and around it while there is a bunch of space behind the desk.
The "lounge" is wide open with furniture that looks nice but is actually cheap and uncomfortable. It's not a very comfortable or private set up. The pastries on display looked old. (It's a coffee bar by day, alcohol by night.)
The restaurant on the other side of the lobby staff barely paid attention. I went in to look around twice while we waited, no one said anything to me or made eye contact.
Certain areas like the locker rooms were narrow, busy and loud while the gym itself and pools were surprisingly empty. Some of the salon staff were standing at the front ready to sell people walking by.
The person who gave me my tour seemed really uncomfortable, especially when she paused to have me smell some of the massage oil scents in the salon.
I left without a membership and frankly annoyed at having wasted two hours of my time. The website did a great job generating a prospect and a tour. But the in-person experience couldn't deliver.
These brands that keep claiming a "luxury" experience while just being window dressing for a bunch of upcharges get exhausting. To provide good service also doesn't cost anything additional, but even that was missing.
It's very disappointing to be so eager and convinced that something is going to work well with your lifestyle and be worth a big price tag - only to spend your time and effort to find out it's not at all what you'd hoped.
Bummer.

Beautiful facility! Visited early Friday and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Took my daughter in to get her haircut with Paloma in the LifeTime Spa area. Paloma is amazing. My daughter can be very shy. Paloma made her feel comfortable, talked to her about her hair goals, took the time to demonstrate and explain to her different ways to style her hair when she gets home. We booked another appointment on the spot and will be going back to get her hair dyed. Thank you Paloma!

I joined Lifetime in December of 2024. On the day that I became a member, they showed me around including the outside area and never told me that I had to pay extra to reserve a shaded area around the pool. I assumed I could use any area specially when the shaded area were limited. I am very disappointed how Lifetime has deceived me to buy the high priced membership. Have been talking to many people and no one is willing to really understand the frustrations I have experienced in the last three months! I am very disappointed and blame lifetime mismanagement and lack of customer service. I believe how they sold their membership to me was unethical.

I’ve visited many Lifetime locations throughout my 10 year membership, and I must say, this one is my favorite. Recently joined after 10 years at a different club. The planners at Lifetime made great decisions around the aquatics facilities. Great design and well maintained. The equipment is brand new well organized. Now their “DJ”…..:not my favorite music but I’m not there for the tunes. Glad to be a member.
June update: Management has faltered on maintaining the outdoor pool. We advised them as far back as February that the outdoor pool would need an aerator in summer to keep the water temperature reasonable. It is now well into June and the water temp has approached 90f. It’s gross and I feel that I and other members were misled. We pay a Premium fee to belong to this club, they need to do better!!!!

I very much enjoy being a member at LT/The Woodlands and appreciate the hard work that goes into making LT a great place for many things.
I, do, however have to express my dissatisfaction for the Gay pride and Drag Queen events happening this month.
I don’t impose my values, which are important to me, on others; and I don’t appreciate having other people’s values imposed on me.
Why can’t LT be a neutral space for all to enjoy????

We have been members of the club since opening. I was very excited for the summer to take my kids to the indoor and outdoor pools! So far I’ve been less than impressed- today is Sunday June 2. We arrived 20 minute after the pools should open and were told the chemicals were just checked at 12 and the pool needed to be shocked so the pools would still be closed. Why weren’t the chemicals checked much sooner than opening time!!!
We decided to wait, and they let the kids in at 1245- this was fine if this was it. My kids then go to line up at the slide and although the pool took 45 extra minutes to open, the lifeguards were in NO rush to get the slides open. They meandered around and then 20 minutes later finally opened the slides. I’m all about teaching patience to my kids but I pay a pretty hefty monthly payment to use these facilities, and this does not need my expectations.
Moving on, they have one poor girl staffing the food counter, responsible for taking orders AND delivering all orders all over the pool deck… she couldn’t answer any of my questions which honestly just seemed like she lacked training and was likely new, but I also felt bad she was doing all of this herself and seemed stressed. Food took more than 30 minutes for each order (ordered different times). The food we received was completely inconsistent, we ordered two of rhe chicken poppers and one came with 4 pieces (cold and smushy) and the next order had 10!!!
Finally, while the outdoor pools were finally open, at no time today has the indoor kiddie pool been available. There is a sign saying you must be 12 to swim in the kiddie pool indoors, and must be supervised by an adult between ages 12-15. I’m all for safety but I’m also more than capable of watching my children ages 8 and 11 who both passed the lifetime swim test in a kiddie pool.
When asked why they couldn’t use this pool I was told there are not enough life guards working today, so either the kiddie pool could be open or the slides not both.
I pay over $450 to be a member here, any one of these issues in a visit I could overlook but this was ridiculous.
Do better lifetime.

I joined Lifetime Gym for two months but decided to leave for a few reasons. Firstly, I found it disruptive that many members recorded their workouts, often placing cameras in front of others. This was especially true in the spa, where it felt like there was no place to relax without being on camera. Additionally, I don’t agree with the children's daycare practices, especially the focus on asking children their pronouns. Lastly, I was surprised to see the gym hosting pride drag events. I rather go back to Villasport.

Had full intentions of switching over from Villa to Lifetime however I was disappointed upon arrival for a few reasons.
1) All of the parking is in a parking garage where most of the first level spots are only avaible to use if you pay for them. Parking in a garage on a 2nd or 3rd floor with children is a huge inconvenience.
2) The kids club here has no outdoor area so kids are stuck inside for the whole time.
3) The adult only pool is literally right next to the family pool and water slide. There is no separation between the two at all so relaxing is a no go.
4) The spa area in the locker room is very underwhelming and way too exposed.
5) The layout of this gym over multiple stories makes it feel crowded and isolated.
With the recent updates Villa has made and their more reasonable prices, my family will happily be sticking with them.

So, I am not going to cover the whole fitness center complex itself because that would be an easy 5 stars. I am going to mainly focus on the pool area and my over all experience when I visited this past Saturday. The pool and genreal area are well kept and organized with plenty of space for everyone. The crowd was good and everyone was enjoying the mood and being respectful even after having a couple of drinks. The staff appeared pleasant and cater to their clients accordingly. So, where was the issue? Well, while trying to enjoy the moment of seemingly serenity I was constantly interrupted by the god awful dj present. Now, I am not going to going into detail about how poor the transitions were nor how weak the over all ability was. But rather focus on the general issues at hand. Let's start with the ghetto BBQ sountrack that never changed nor understood that actual demograph of the audience itself. Anytime, you have a general gen-X audiance you are pretty safe playing a mix of 70's-90's as long as your transitions don't feel like you just stepped off a carnival cruise. Now, if that music isn't your cup of tea you can always get lost in your own right? Well, that would be the case unless you have a lackluster dj that dosen't have a clue how to proper use his equipment correctly. The result is a deafing bass that is so poorly set that no one in the general area can enjoy themself without their ears bleeding. Who decided to book this waste of space should do some research and understand what a real dj should be because this wasn't it. Finally, the dj took a break and you could generally see everyone start to relax and enjoy their conversations with each other (imagine actually hearing the person you are talking to right.) Everything, was great and I was chilling out to my own tunes until the dj came back and once again decimated my serenity. I saw a few people that had to move due to the ear bleeding bass that eventually was too much for me as well. I hate that management's poor choice in a dj had to ruin my first pool experience but it is what it is.

This is the closest Lifetime to me. It’s 30mins. The closest after that is 45mins. It’s a signature only location meaning you get a few extras but for twice the cost. It would be $529 for my family of 5. At the one further one, it’s $279. That’s a big difference for hardly a different experience. A shame for families wanting to join. If you pay for the signature membership at other locations, you cannot visit this location! What in the world! It’s off limits to only upper class individuals I guess.

The premises offer a commendable standard. The hygienic conditions are maintained to a high degree. However, there were reservations regarding the personal trainers and the inadequate communication that ensued, leading to a decision to pursue individual fitness goals. I’m really not surprised when I show up here to leave a bad review to see that there are so many other ones already. I went in as a guest pass with a friend the other day and was really interested in joining. It’s CRAZY expensive so I really went back and forth battling with whether or not to do it over the last week. When I was there in person, I spoke to someone at the front desk about pricing and they told me the standard membership rates but told me that if my baby has a “caregiver” then that person can be added as that on my account for $60 (as long as we can prove we pay them) so they can use the facility too when they’re there taking her. Great, I got my mom on board to join with me for that cost because she is my daughters paid caretaker. In the meantime before I could get back into the facility, I kept running into new things that rack up the cost of the membership even more (on top of the whopping $250 for just me alone). Like the fact that my 8 month old baby who can’t do ANYTHING yet has to have her own whole membership for $60 even though she can’t even crawl. So I’m paying the same for her as a 7 year old who can do kid yoga? Make that make sense. I was really excited to see they had Pilates with the reformer machines… not shocking, costs extra. So basically, things were already racking up in my head which was a bummer. So the other night (again after I had already spoken to someone in-club) I called and talked to someone at the front desk to make sure u had a FULL understanding of the costs and fees and extras. They verified the SAME THING about my caregiver being able to be added for $60. So then after a week of crunching and trying to make it work and getting excited today, I go in with my mom to sign up. They ask me if anyone else in my household as an adult is being added and I say no, my husband isn’t joining. Then they tell me that my mom can’t be considered a caregiver and she would have to be the other adult on my account like my husband would’ve been and that’s actually $100, oh and also the caregiver isn’t $60, it’s $80. So SOMEHOW two people both gave me the wrong information when I verified it twice before driving 25 mins in ready to sign up? I turned around and left without anything and I’m FUMING. I get that you’re new, but get it together with what your staff is telling people because I spent a lot of time and effort crunching numbers on things and driving in that were a waste of my time. For anyone considering joining, it’s a nice place, that’s for sure. But the people working there are NOT friendly, very cold and there’s just a very “better than” air about the place with everyone I’ve spoken to so far. The amenities are nice, but being hit with fees left and right for those amenities does NOT justify the price. I went from being super excited about this place a week ago to now being so turned off. Oh and don’t comment telling me to reach out to your team, I already have but it’s really impossible to reach anyone higher up (I had tried for something separate last week and again today). Just overall disappointing for what people are being charged.

Child was slapped at the facility here.
He is a star student at school and age 8!! Lifetime staff and admin covered it up and referred me to legal? Why, because they couldn’t take responsibility.
As a business owner I would have simply admit fault and attempted to make changes to make sure this doesn’t happen again versus change your stories, not share the incident report (apparently legal and corporate doesn’t allow it WHAT).
Lifetime childcare is NOT regulated by any Texas agency. As children stay, at most, 2.5 hours the child care facility does not need to be regulated and essentially can do whatever they want. Typically any child care center is regulated by Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The Kiddie Academy, based on how many hours a child stays, is not regulated!!! Be AWARE!
They told me legal and corporate would be following up etc after numerous calls and emails nothing was done and my calls to corporate were not returned.
I cancelled our membership. If this happened to my vocal 8year old it’s definitely happening to the younger children and unfortunately they cannot communicate it to their parents.
Update!
Lifetime please refrain from your standard copy and paste response. You’re priority is not children’s safety and your dishonest methods show it.
If you were you would check your records/ camera footage, due diligence and follow up about the incident that occurred on January 11, 2024. See Rachel Viles emails from Kiddie Academy. Until then

Was very excited to have this gym open. Signed myself, my girlfriend and her 3yo son up. Was very excited as it’s hard for us to workout together consistently. Man WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT this has been. If you have a child under 4yo I recommend you not signing up for this gym. Any child under 4yo cannot participate in “Parents Night Out” which seems to be on sporadic Fridays or Saturdays. Even if you’re just going to do a workout class you cannot check your child in at all. Such a joke considering we are paying close to $500 a month for this gym. With this type of fee I shouldn’t run into an inconvenience like this that stops me from working out. Membership cancelled and will make sure the other parents I know in my same situation do not sign up for this gym either.
Also, Lifetime, please don’t respond with that generic “owners” reply that you’re spamming other Google complaints with. If you actually cared you’d have a dedicated customer service contact phone number or email address. Not this robotic comment you leave……
(If you'd be open to it, we'd love the opportunity to connect with you regarding your experiences and offerings. When you get a moment, please contact our team directly with the best way to get in touch with you.)

I was going to join here, but it didn't meet my expectations for that price tag.
I have two toddlers, my wife is a stay at home mom, and I work from home most days. I thought this would be a great place for us to go as a family during the work week. It seems more like a place you just drop your kids off at, then you do your own thing though. All the pools except the baby pool have "reserved for 12 years old and up" signs. I was thinking I could swim with my boys year-round, but that's not the case.
Some of the other locations around town have rock climbing, so I was thinking I could cancel that membership and climb here. Shoot even climb here with the kids. However, this location does not have rock climbing as I had hoped. Rock climbing would have helped justified the hefty price tag. A family rock climbing membership at a local gym is around $200 a month.
Having said that, it looks like a great place for some people. It's large, new, and very nice. It has pickleball, lap pools, a place to work, and they will watch your kids for a few hours. IMO, it's not worth $500 for a family of four. There are plenty of other gyms with the same amenities for far less.

What is the danger to this place? It’s the parking garage when you walk to the gym. Most people drive fast beside the gym, which is now always full of members without equipment to work up the sauna and steam room for 4 people, as well as the Jacuzzi, which is not what is expected of a luxury gym in terms of freedom of space.

Clean, professional, and welcoming. I got to visit through a free pass from a friend. The facility is large and relatively easy to navigate. Tennis ball courts and pickle ball court are to the right as you enter. The locker rooms are straight past the front fest and you have the cafe to the left. The second floor is going to be the weight room and cardio.
The best part of this gym is that the staff and amenities are easily available. The equipment is also top quality and still in great condition.
Enjoy the gym and Get after it !

This is a great gym and environment to decompress. You are paying for a luxurious experience and that is what you get. All the staff I've interacted with are extremely courteous and respectful to guests. We love it.
As compared to Villa, I was a member there, and they are similar in many ways. There is no denying that Lifetime is newer and bigger. If you are on the fence I really recommend trying both for a day and seeing your preference. Just try to go at the actual time of your workout so you get a feel for the crowd at that time.

Have been waiting for this place to open for over a year! This is the nicest gym I have ever been to by a wide margin. For those complaining about price; consider that $249/mo if you visit every day, ends up being a little over $8 a visit. This place is far more than just a gym, as you get access to so many different services & amenities. Everything is always spotless clean, and the staff members are top tier.

Loved the amenities, so clean and everyone is very friendly and professional -- in the gym. Victoria in the lifespa is awesome. In the Cafe, a different story. The food is only so-so, and while they say they cater to allergies and food preferences, the kitchen got everyone's orders wrong. This is especially bad, as mine was wrong twice and had an allergen on it. I'd eat somewhere else.

I just joined this club. I go to the one Downtown and is AWESOME. Everything works and the instructors know what they are doing, and when things break, is fixed the next day, not the next week. This place just opened up, and the cold plunge BROKE. For the price you pay a month you should have good equipment. Also, downtown's men's bathroom is bigger. I would have expected the bathroom on this one to be bigger for the biggest Life Time in Texas.
Again yesterday the Cold Plunge was not open without any warning of being on maintenance or something. I wish this club will communicate better like other Life Time about when maintenance will happen.

Employees were harassing me. One dynamic trainer (skinny black kid) was making threatning hand gestures at me.

This gym is definitely one of the nicest I have ever been to. If you read the bad reviews, majority of them are all personal opinions but your experience depends on the mindset you have. Yes, the gym had issues with equipment but what people fail to realize is it’s a brand new property. There is a lot they cannot touch as it’s under warranty with the company that built the product. It’s a restriction that is necessary so they aren’t having to fork out money later on for something as silly as voiding out a warranty for impatient customers. All the staff is extremely friendly but there are two that I have noticed are really going above and beyond in customer service. First: George at the front desk. He is extremely friendly and knows a lot the customers first names. He’s quick to assist everyone and does it with a smile. The second is a trainer name Angelina. I personally have never spoken to her or worked out with her but I do come to this gym two times a day. I have been watching all the trainers and staff and how they interact with people. Angelina is the only trainer that I have noticed that smiles at everyone and picks up equipment around the work out space regardless if she used it, one of her clients or just another member. She doesn’t ever pass up something out of place without fixing it or putting it back where it belongs. I have been to many, many gyms in my life. Some super expensive and some very affordable but this one by far has the friendliest, kindest and genially caring staff. They do a fantastic job of cleaning everything from the locker rooms to equipment to the parking garage. They take pride in their work which definitely shows even a month after they had opened. Great job!

I went once, myself, my guest and my kids hated it. At villa the indoor kids pool goes deeper, Life Time has a shallow indoor 'babies' pool with no slides and you can only watch your kids play while you sit in a metal chair. At Villa you can watch them from the indoor jacuzzi or join them in the pool because its deep enough. Life Time is a place where you drop kids to be babysat by someone else while you work out, not somewhere where you experience something fun with your kids. The vibe is indeed extremely weird. Be prepared for everyone to keep telling you how awesome Life Time is. Try and dry your kids off fast in the family changing room before they go into hyperthermia. Enjoy queuing for the ONE smith machine. I'm going back to Villa, out of pocket by a joining fee and one month plus another months notice with Life Time. What a crock!

Update:
I’ve removed a star because the men’s dry sauna doesn’t get hot. After many complaints, the maintenance people moved the thermometer closer to the heater. That’s not solving anything!! The target should be to measure the coldest spot in the sauna and have that spot at an acceptable temperature level.
Hooks should be installed in the men's showers to hang towels and / or swimsuits.
Other than that, this is a good fitness center with a lot of options.
The bar has been set very high with this location. I expect Lifetime to keep this place at its best.

Came over from Villa Sport to try it out. So if you’re looking for a Comparison.
Pros over villa -
It is 1000 times cleaner, the equipment is next level quality and they have a lot of it. There are plenty of squat, racks and weights for everyone. The people are extremely friendly, which is a lot different than Villa. The cold plunge inside the locker room is a game changer. The café/smoothie bar/bar is pretty great as well and reasonably priced. They have a lot of pickle ball courts that seem to have availability as well.
Cons
Villa is definitely much better in regards to outside pool area at Villa Sport. The slide for the kids is about twice as tall. If you’re in the lap swimming ,lifetime is probably better. They wasted a lot of space indoors on the first floor on lap Pools that I never see anyone using. The saunas are better quality, but they are way too small for the amount of people they are adding. Lifetime seems to be constantly adding people and the saunas are already full as it is. The shower and locker room quality is outstanding at lifetime.
— the biggest drawback for lifetime is the outdoor turf area out. There is no turf outdoor CrossFit type area area like there is a Villa Sport.
Overall, I’m staying at lifetime fitness though, because the management at Villa Sport was pretty terrible and the locker rooms were always disgusting .
