I finally made it out there to the bodybuilding mecca of our times. The legendary MetroFlex Gym where Ronnie Coleman trained. You've seen it in all his videos. His training partner is still running the gym. Talked to him for a little bit about the legends current and past who came through there and it's a significant list. It's a hot gym cooled only by big fans but it was a great experience to work out there if only for a day. Highly recommended if you're a gym head.

Dude en ir por qué tenía media hora de ida y media hora de vuelta en Uber pero la verdad es que no me arrepentí en absoluto. The atmosphere is incredible. You don't find that many old-school gyms around anymore. Which is a shame because this one brings out its character and uniqueness. Working out and knowing that world-famous athletes have and still workout in this gym is such a cool experience to be around. I love this gym. It’s a no-nonsense facility with a great selection of equipment. It is also in a large, clean and well spaced area. The price is excellent, and they don’t do the gimmicky sales pitches you see at most gyms.

Excellent lieu de pèlerinage.
Des prépa prodiguées par des coachs érudits, qui ont commencées les diètes dans les années 80 avec M. Jean Texier.
Pas le genre à vous torcher des prépa en 10 minutes avec des diètes à 6000 calories comme d’autres Baltringues.
Ici c’est Men’s physic minimum… minimum.

Par contre, les ziz, les gamins de 16 ans, et les petits kéké qui parlent derrière leurs écrans… ça va bien s’passer.

Découvert sur les conseils d'un ami sérieux. J'ai dépensé des milliers d'euros pour venir m'entraîner ici afin de ressembler à un bûcheron. (Comme je suis d'origine yougoslave slovène je devais démontrer que le bucheronnage ça me connaît !)
Bref, me voilà à m'entraîner au point de faire sonner l'alarme de la salle. J'ai failli me faire embarquer par la gurdia civile du coin dans leur beau X5. Je me voyais déjà au placard ...mais qu'allais-je faire ? Compter les cuillères de pêche ? Observer la collection de timbre ? Non certainement pas, je suis allé me faire un poulet, avec plein d'huile et des crepes au Nutella pour au final revenir à l'hôtel et dégueuler dans la baignoire. Et ça, ça ne me fait pas rire du tout... pas rire du tout. Bon cest un peu decousu mon histoire c'est excellente sall, vous allez devenir un samouraï. Je vous aurais bien fait une présentation plus détaillée comme je suis quelqu'un d'erudit qui se cultive mais passons.

Words can't begin to describe this place. Atmosphere 11/10, has a collection of the best machines and pieces of equipment I've ever used to build muscle. You walk in and want to train arms, chest, legs, back, shoulders, abs, and calves and then repeat it all, order food delivery to the place and keep going. They must pump adrenaline into the air system. Place is too awesome to describe - if you're a bodybuilder, gym rat, fitness fanatic or anything even close you need to workout here at least once in your life.

Ce qui est sûr, c'est qu'on ne va pas là-bas pour compter les cuillères de pêches ou ranger sa collection de timbre !

Au programme : 200g de haricots verts, diet' à 6000 calories. Les mecs sont des fusées ! C'est pas des baltringues ! Ce SONT des athlètes, vous allez le comprendre ça ?! Et en plus les coachs vous rasent les c******s avec des Gilette Triple Lame, même à 1H du matin, sans faire sonner l'alarme de la salle ! Voyez un peu l'travail vous ?

I've always wanted to train at Metroflex and yesterday I finally took the time to get a day pass and make it a reality. The environment was electric. There was no one playing on their phone, hogging equipment, doing half reps or standing around talking. Just hard core, old school, real lifting.
Some people think that a gym that is so hardcore would be filled with ego maniacs but the reality is this gym is for the truly dedicated that know what they are doing. It's the newbies, trying impress girls at the big chain gyms you have to watch out for.
I got a great workout and look forward to making visiting the gym a monthly occurrence.
I would suggest bringing an Alan wrench. Most of the plate loaded machines are missing pins. I had to take one and switch a around a few times.
