Member for several years. It's a place to train and workout. Everything you need, without the Biffs and Muffies. Members are heads down, working hard, with little to NO socialization. Trainers are helpful if you ask them. They do a great job of staying out of your way.

I have been a member since 2013. I moved to Metroflex from a competitive gym, and I absolutely love it here! I was welcomed with open arms and treated like a family member. The highlight of my day is coming to Metroflex for a hardcore workout and being surrounded by comradery.
I train with owner, Lory Hampton. She pushes me to my limits while remaining motivating and encouraging. I told her exactly the changes I wanted to see in my body, and she planned new and exciting workouts for each session. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a personal trainer!
Yes, this gym is a little more "no frills" than a chain gym - but that is all the appeal! I was never treated like another sale then never spoken to again. Instead, I am greeted each time I come in and feel like the owners/employees/fellow gym members actually care about me and my journey. If you are ready for TRUE results, come try out Metroflex. You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I have been members off and on since 2011. I say off and on because of my military career taking me around the US, otherwise we would never leave Metroflex Micities. It is really a true hardcore facility. I love the fact that I can go behind the building and flip huge tires. I love the cross-fit area where I can practice plyometrics. Lory is a great cross-fit teacher. I did a one on one training session with her and she helped me analyze my form and technique; I see her push and motivate her cross-fit group throughout the week. My husband is a competitive power lifter and would not prefer to train anywhere else. Everyone is friendly and approachable if you need help. I also love that our daughter (toddler) is allowed to come to the gym with us and be on the floor. Obviously, it is our own responsibility to watch her and make sure she doesn't get hurt. I will not get this privilege anywhere else.

I highly recommend this gym for anyone wanting to change up their old boring workout routine. At first, I was intimidated by CrossFit but I also wanted to take my workouts and my goals to the next level, which has been a struggle for me. Now I have been able to achieve a higher level of confidence with Cross fit than with any other workout.
Lory, the trainer will take the time to teach you proper form to avoid injury and she is also super positive and motivating. I went from "let's try this out" to working out 5 times a week.The class times fit well with my work and school schedule. Do yourself a favor and drop in for a class and you will not regret it. I'm much stronger and have way more endurance.

My only recommendation is owner David Hampton. He can work miracles motivation wise and get the results you're looking for. The only trainer I've ever had that has made a difference for me.

I've always been a box-gym girl (Lifetime Fitness, etc) but never really felt comfortable and definitely didn't get results/help. I drive by Metroflex all the time but was a little intimidated by the "hard core" reputation, but finally decided to give it a try. I can't say enough good things about it, I actually look forward going everyday. It's a great, clean and fun environment with people who actually care if you stay on track and will help however possible.
I also do personal training with one of the owners, Dave Hampton, and can't stress the huge difference it's made between his training and nutrition counseling. I'm almost 40 and have dropped over 20 pounds (the healthy way) in just a few months plus feel 100 times better. He's also been great working around and improving my health issues.
