Working with Ken has helped me to build strength and stability! As an older person it is important to me to be able to exercise and build muscle without injury. If I'm not able to do one exercise he has the knowledge to come up with another way to strengthen the same muscles.
It has been a pleasure working with him !

At the time of writing this review, I have been working out with Ken for only 3 months. However, I have already seen noticeable improvements. I've already lost 6 pounds; my clothes are fitting more loosely; and I can already tell I've gained muscle in my legs. My knees are less tender, too.
I originally sought Ken out to optimize my dancing, and I know I'm well on my way thanks to his skilled guidance.

As of December 2022, I’ve been training with Ken for 6 months and I couldn’t be happier. Ken’s training and experience as an exercise physiologist allowed him to understand what was causing my many aches and pains and recommend many stretching exercises. They all worked! We’ve now graduated to weight training and again, when a workout causes any muscle discomfort, I discuss it with Ken and he modifies my workout regimen.
After each in-person session, Ken sends me a spreadsheet with the various exercises we covered during our session. He also sends videos of each exercise so that I can see exactly how to replicate it when I do my solo workouts. These two items help immensely in completing workout sessions that promote muscle growth, not muscle damage.
I’ve had other trainers before and none have had the understanding of the muscle and skeletal systems that Ken has. Ken takes care of you but also pushes you to do more to achieve your goals. You are in good hands with Ken and I highly recommend him to be your trainer.

IS THERE A "CURE" FOR AGING? Yes, his name is Ken Belveal.
We each have had prior experiences with in-person trainers; Ken is our first virtual instructor and THE BEST instructor by far! We each began with an individualized assessment of our weaknesses and our strengths and a discussion of our individual goals.
Then the fun began! Ken knows the appropriate functions of the neuromuscular system of the human body better than most physicians. He has designed a personal approach for each of us and makes copious notes and comments of everything each of us does in our individual sessions. He is laser-focused on what he asks us each to do and how we do it, stopping us instantly to correct or redirect if something is not aligned properly. He educates each of us gently and patiently about what we should be doing - and how and why - enthusiastically reinforcing our successes. Each session builds on the previous session and prepares for a future session.
We "take him with us" when we travel because he is "virtual". Indeed, we learned that he trains some clients when they travel as far as Great Britain or Australia to maintain their shared goals.
As older folks, he has proven to us that it is never too late to begin, and he has helped us to increase our mobility and to improve our flexibility with a positive, cheerful demeanor and an enormous base of knowledge of the human body.
We each are delighted to have found Ken and to work with him and look forward to continuing a long, productive relationship with him.

I have been working out virtually with Ken since January of 2022, and have lost over 40 lbs. Ken is excellent! I appreciate his approach: a comprehensive initial assessment of your strength, flexibility, mobility, and overall fitness to establish a baseline, initial goals, and customized workout plans. Ken listens. He understands the obstacles to making healthy choices, and offers practical solutions that work with your lifestyle. Ken is a teacher.
He does not just show you how to do an exercise; he explains why you are doing the exercise. With Ken's expert guidance, I am doing things physically I never thought I would (or even could) do.

7 months of working with him got my body fat down from 23% to little less than 14%. Ken is all about helping you achieve your results and pushing his clients in the right direction. However, he also makes it clear that all results are possible only if you do it consistently for an extended period of time.
I am very happy with the results and highly recommend him if you are looking for a straight shooter professional to help you achieve your goals.

I work out with Ken 3x a week for an hour and my results in only 3 months are amazing. I've established a routine and am working out more than any time in my life. I have lost 30lbs to date, am eating better, and drinking more water. I can see my muscles and feel more confident and happy.

I read about Ken's Golf Game Fitness Class in my Country Club's newsletter and thought I would give it a try. Gee, I am so glad I did! Ken is an excellent instructor - extremely professional and knowledgeable and offers a fun and challenging class. The exercises are designed to help with flexibility, strength, and balance - key factors in the golf swing and injury prevention. As Ken, is a rehab specialist, he is constantly assessing his class for any injuries or limitations they may have and works with each individual to modify any exercises that may cause strain or injury. I highly recommend his classes and look forward to attending them as often as I can.

I have been having issues with hip pain for over a year which were also interfering with my sleep. After diagnostic tests showed no physical issues, I decided to try a different route. Ken did a full evaluation and then gave me stretching and strengthening exercises to improve the area. These exercises were adjusted each time I saw him to build on the improvements that I had made. While I am not completely pain free, both of my hips are MUCH better and I am sleeping better.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Ken to build strength and increase my flexibility. I appreciate the great lengths he goes to in custom tailoring the regimen to make sure it's most effective for me and my body.
Working with Ken has given me a degree of confidence in working out that I have never had before. I have never worked out regularly in my life, and Ken has helped me incorporate it into my lifestyle in approachable and sustainable ways.
I would highly recommend Ken and Belveal Mobile Workout to anyone ready to make a positive change in their health.

I suffered with Tension headaches 24/7, nonstop for two years . It was horrible. My massage therapist suggested that Ken might be able to help. Within two weeks my headaches were 50% gone. Within six weeks they were completely gone. I was so grateful. I realized that I needed to continue working on my whole body because I'm getting older, and in my profession, I see how exercising truly affects quality of life in the elderly. Ken has been helping me establish a personal workout that will help me thrive as I continue to age. He is extremely knowledgeable and guides me to master each exercise. He encourages me between sessions and is dedicated to my success. For the first time in 65 years, I believe I can establish, and stick to, an exercise routine that will be with me for the rest of my life. I'm very grateful for Ken.

Ken Belveal is a personal training SUPERSTAR. I'm a 40-year-old professional opera singer based in Houston who was looking for experienced guidance on how to build upper body strength. I thrive on using proper form through detailed description of each exercise to avoid injury and get the most out of my workouts...Ken is by far the best educator with whom I have worked. He determined what my weaknesses were at the beginning in order to build a routine custom tailored to me and assigned me daily warmup exercises to improve these weaknesses. He incorporates stretching specific muscles after each exercise and offers several variants if a particular activity or stretch doesn’t suit me well. My posture and confidence have both greatly improved.
Ken created a solid routine for me to take on the road when I’m performing away from home and has kept me motivated to attain my goals. Ken is generous with his time, extremely personable and filled with positivity and good humor. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking to improve their physical well-being.

My wife and I have been working with Ken for several months now since moving to Houston.
I was lifelong athlete. I competed in every organized sport. I am a Veteran and excelled in physical requirements during my time in service.
I taught my wife how to run. She completed a marathon a few years ago and several shorter runs since then, including Manion Hero Run just after we move here last year. To
I coached youth lacrosse for 15 years and contributed to local athletics on many levels.
Both my hips degenerated from osteoarthritis and I had them both replaced last year. I put on 30 more lbs than I should have been carrying and stopped working out/exercising.
Since working with Ken, I've lost over 20lbs, and gained strength and flexibility I haven't had for years. My wife is stronger than ever and is increasing her run distances given her newly developed strength thanks to Ken.
Ken is an astute trainer, expert physiologist, and skilled in identifying areas in need of focus and programs to advance, achieve the customer fitness goal. He is professional, extremely congenial, collaborates with schedule flexibility to accommodate my and my wifes' busy work travel schedule. He is an incredibly valuable addition to our weekly routines. I recommend him highly but in truth, I don't want to lose our discovered gem of a trainer due to overdemand!
Thank you Ken. Looking forward to more progress.

I came in to see Ken a couple of weeks ago to see if there was a way to improve my posture (to avoid a hunchback later in life) with the added bonus of ridding me of the constant neck/shoulder pain I was beginning to have. Immediately, he got right down to business and found the source of the problems and assigned me some exercises to really isolate the smaller muscles that needed strengthening. Two weeks later, I am definitely feeling less neck pain and fewer headaches. I knew going in it wouldn't happen overnight, and I still have a ways to go to clean up my posture to where I'd like it to be, but I can say that he is definitely well-educated on the matter. I loved how he explained how the muscles worked and how some will overcompensate for the weakness of others, creating the problems I was having.
Thank you Ken so much for taking the time to evaluate me and we'll be seeing you soon for a follow up! I recommend anyone who wants physical improvement to schedule an appointment!!!

Ken has done and is doing an excellent job working with my neck and upper back issues. He easily diagnosed and came up with solutions for my problem areas and has taught me exercises for those areas I wouldn't have considered otherwise. I highly recommend working with him!

This is a review to recommend my TERRIFIC Trainer, Ken Belveal
When my previous trainer moved, my heart sank until she told me she had arranged for one of her colleagues to continue my training, Ken Belveal. He has been excellent consolidating and expanding the gains I had made with her.
As expected, he did an EXTENSIVE evaluation of my current status allowing us to refine the goals we had previously established. Although I am healthy, use a stand-up desk, and reasonably fit, I have scoliosis and the shoulder girdle issues of someone who spends 12-14 hrs hunched over a computer or a patient. He has tailored a regimen to strengthen my core for my back and to rehabilitate the anterior shoulder girdle muscles. My chronic back pain is so much better.
The other aspect of his expertise, which is so helpful to me and which reflects his granular knowledge of anatomy and function, is his ability to target a muscle(s) that cause pain and limitation of motion. By localizing the muscle, he can identify the necessary stretch or exercise to remedy it. In fact, he has devised specific devices for these recurrent problems (eg, StandUpStr8) which I am using.
My weight is appropriate and stable but he recommended a nutritional app to allow me to evaluate my diet and macronutrients. I learned that my pecan nut intake (fat) was disproportionate and adjusted that.
In the 6 months he has trained me, I have lost 4% of my body fat, gained 2.5 lbs of muscle and lost 2 inches from my hips!
I am not a fitness nut. However, I am a physician and I know that with normal aging, we lose 1% per year of our fitness starting at age 25. Nonetheless, I love my job and am a 24/7 workaholic and would NEVER find time to exercise without my trainer. That means that I am not the most faithful at the “homework” he recommends in between visits, but we work thru that.
Ken has an interesting story about how he got into training from a previous career in fiancé. He has a great sense of humor (which helps so much during those “…is it burning yet? Just 5 more…” moments). One of his other clients gave him the T-shirt shown in this picture.
I honestly cannot recommend him highly enough. If you want to improve your fitness and have fun doing it, Ken Belveal is the person to help you.

I am 23-year-old college student. Needless to say, the many late nights studying and easy access to fast food on campus took its toll on my body. So when my mom decided to make a change for herself, and begin personal training with Ken Belveal, I decided to start as well. That was four months ago. Now I have 12 pounds more muscle, a lower body fat percentage, and a passion for fitness and exercise. I owe all this to Ken and his phenomenal motivation and expertise. Workouts with Ken are FUN AND EXHASTING. He kicks my butt every week, but its worth it because for the first time in my life I am proud of my body!! Thanks KEN!

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2013 and my doctor said that I needed to do exercise particularly stretching on a regular basis, That is when I hired Ken Belveal. He has worked with me diligently through today, He is why I still live independently and can walk without the walker. He comes twice a week and he is very patient with me but strong, He does let me get by with slacking even though I beg him to let me slide.

Ken has been my trainer for over five years and we have worked mostly on weight training. I have only high praise for Ken's knowledge and attention to his client's wellbeing. As to his knowledge, early in my training, given I had little weight training before, we had to work through certain joint issues. Happily, we were able to do so quickly and no longer have any issue despite the fact that we continue to increase the weight. I attribute this success to Ken's knowledge of the human body and proper training techniques. I can unequivocally recommend Ken as a personal trainer.

For the past 2-3 years I have partnered with Ken, first to get ready for my wedding, then just for overall well being. What I love most about working with Ken is that he is very knowledgeable, but most importantly he does a full assessment, then devises a plan of action. He not only looks at YOUR goals, but looks at you as a whole person.
He is quick to recommend experts in their field to help you get to the next level.
When I do exactly what Ken says and also eat properly, I can NOT FAIL!!! I highly recommend Ken and his team. Did I forget to mention....THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO NOT WORK OUT.....HE COMES TO YOU :)

Ken is an excellent personal fitness trainer!
A friend got me in touch with Ken because I have been having some pain in my back for several months. Ken gave me a thorough evaluation and practical stretches and exercises to improve my back situation as well as my all around health.
Ken is very capable and knowledgeable. I appreciate how quickly he was to be able to isolate areas that need improvement with helpful practical corrective action such as exercises and stretching. He also provided a list of specific exercises for me to follow through on to improve.
Ken is extremely positive and has a good sense of humor. I highly recommend Ken as a personal fitness trainer and health mentor.

*Explained the "why" as well as the "what" and "how" in a tremendously helpful manner.
I was introduced to Ken Belveal through the recommendation of a friend. Ken immediately proved to be the best physical therapist I have worked with. He was pleasant, clear and understandable, about what he wanted me to do and what he was observing as I did it. He explained things both technically and simply as he went. I have a specific list of things to follow through on, and a road map for long term goals. Most importantly he is helping me to understand the "why" of the issues and the "why" of the treatments. Very encouraging!
