The North Arlington Wyoming is a nice place to visit, but it would be nice if they can hire people that understand what the word clean means. Typically, you see the folks that are cleaning walking around listening to their phone playing on their phone sitting on their butts and they have no idea what they’re supposed to be doing. It could be the Melissa’s not a very good manager. I’m just saying and it would also be nice if the showers could have soap in them every time you walk into one seems like if you’re gonna clean the shower one for twice a day supposedly that’s what the sign says. We’re cleaning the locker room. That’s a lie. They don’t clean the showers but maybe once a week.

They will not turn on the air conditioning in the gym before 9:00 class. It is hot, miserable, and many of us seniors feel dizzy or sick. I have complained about it repeatedly (on behalf of a number of people in class), and was told that I should find another gym.

NEW AND EXISTING MEMBERS BEWARE.

I’ve been a YMCA member in this network for 30+ years and have always valued the community — until my recent experience with a YMCA in this network. I had to relocate for work and asked to end my membership early. While I understood the annual contract, the branch staff treated me as little more than a customer at a cellphone store, rigidly enforcing policy without any empathy or support.

When I escalated the issue, leadership responded with a canned policy explanation, completely ignoring how cold and impersonal the interaction felt. This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed, and I will be sharing my story publicly and discussing it with current members so they understand how situations like mine are handled.

It’s not about the money — it’s about the lack of compassion from a place that claims to be community-focused. I can no longer recommend this branch YMCA to anyone.

The only thing to watch out for are the elderly in the parking lot. Almost got hit by a car walking to the front door when I parked on the side. My car has also been hit while I was in it and parked. Some of these people should not be driving but I’m glad they’re getting a workout in at the YMCA I guess

We were members before covid! We are just now scheduling to go back and start working out again! It's been completely remodeled and looking nice and new! I took a walk around there's a lot of newer machines and looks like a nice place still I will enjoy going back getting healthy!

I stopped in today on a workout and upon entry I noticed how clean the facility was! The men’s locker room was clean, including the shower and toilet area. More gyms can take a lesson on cleanliness less from YMCA!
The location have a wrap around track on the second floor that is perfect for walking but not running so much. The cardio machines are all on second floor and they are limited and the main floor all have their free and machine weights, basketball and spin room. They have to have a nice variety of weights but limited number of weights and machines so on a busy day, you may have to workout between your mates.
The hours of operation is limited to 8-9pm and some locations closed on Sunday which is disappointing because if I tend to workout mostly in the late evenings. The only hinder from a 5 star are the hours and limited machines and weights. Nice gym and child care options but if you tend to workout early or late in the evenings, YMCA may not be the best option.

I COME HERE TO WORKOUT THEN SHOWER IN THE EARLY MORNINGS. THEIR A BIG SAFTEY ISSUES IN THE SHOWERS THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BECOME DEADLY FOR ANYONE ESPECIALLY THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED PEOPLE. THE MOTION SENSORS ON THE CEILING IN THE LADIES BATHROOM BY THE SHOWERS ONLY STAYS ON FOR LIKE 3MIN. THEN ALL THE LIGHT SHUT OFF. I WAS TAKING A SHOWER AND THE LIGHTS WENT OUT SEVERAL TIMES I HAD TO WALK OUT ALL THE WAY BY THE LOCKERS FOR THEM TO COME BK ON. I ALMOST SLIPPED AND FELL. PLEASE PUT MORE LIGHT SENORS IN THE SHOWERS AND THE HANDICAP SHOWER STALL AS WELL. SOMEBODY COULD FALL AND BREAK THEIR SKULL IF NOT CAREFUL. I DONT GO TO THIS GYM BECAUSE OF THAT REASON.

Chris sports organizer was very rude to my wife. We dont go to this gym. we were forced to do the sports sign up here. I understand the paying for a dirty jersey and the new one. What I dont understand was the laziness and the lack of motivation there was to help my wife. She asked for a xsmall size and he said there wasn't when my wife, Melissa and I all saw an XS my wife had to tell him there was one and then after she repeatedly told him then he decided to go look and l after he looked he found one. Then he just continued with an attitude with her. He just made her feel it was her fault for making him do his job he doesn't even want to have. The lady at the front desk thanked her for being so nice and understanding. Now I dont know if he is having a bad day but if you can not separate your emotions while working in a customer service environment please find another job. Melissa is amazing though and she was incredibly helpful. He needs to be retrained under melissa for sure.

Sadly the YMCA is not reliable when it comes to the before and after school program. It seems they have a rough time making it to the school on time at 6:30am in the morning and this morning they didn’t even bother showing up causing a lot of parents to be late and not knowing what to do with their kids so they can get to work, you call the YMCA office and all they can say is “I don’t know what’s going on”. Extremely disappointed.

Everything about this gym I love. I was very impressed and proud to be apart of the YMCA team! But lately the maintenance team seems to be lazy and don’t clean upstairs or the locker rooms. The machines are filthy. The locker room smells terrible and looks like someone “tried” cleaning the counters, mirrors, toilets, etc. My suggestion would be possibly some management changes in the maintenance area because it honestly seems to me like they just spray stuff in the air to make it smell good to give off the impression of clean. I recommend another gym!

Once upon a time this place was phenomenal. Now it seems to have been run down by upper management. The people working here could care less of you or your family.. seems like all they are present for is a paycheck. Patty the ""executive director"" who is an elderly lady enjoys yelling at children upstairs, and scolds them to go downstairs even when they are accompanied by an adult. The basketball court is constantly used by bicycling or women classes during the early day preventing anyone from playing on the court.. even though they have different rooms for those specific activies they use the entire court anyway. During Cowboy Stadium events they sellout half of their parking spaces that are supposed to be there for those who pay a gym membership thus preventing one from getting a park spot, and having to park elsewhere with high risk of getting towed!! The cost is very pricey compared to other facilities for the out dated machinery, customer service, etc etc.. even though they preach to be a nonprofit organization.. their monthly subscription is definitely ridiculous even with a discount. Please do your due diligence before subscribing as a member at this YMCA.
