My least favorite place to go based purely off how disgusting and unkept it is. Volleyball tournaments are expensive to go to and expensive at the door per person. The young ladies that work concessions and up front are kind and we appreciate them but the owners (who were there) truly do not care about the cleanliness. The floors are a mess. Didn’t look like they even bother to sweep the gym after first day for the second. Massive dust bunnies and trash just blowing around because of the fan system. The worst part was the abysmal restrooms. Having 5 stalls total is a wreck in itself but two of their toilets broke (bc they aren’t commercial toilets they’re residential) , no hand soap, one stall without a lock, constantly no toilet paper or paper towels and the toilet paper was always on the floor because the holders are broke. Nobody ever came to clean the toilets or sinks and they were noticeably the same filth from the day before including throw up. We watched the owners or directors walk around and nothing get done. Cash cow that isn’t well kept it’s just sad because the place has great potential. The concessions seemed like it was the only area that was tidy inside just not where the condiments were. Wish we could choose where we have tournaments but this is by far our least favorite.

My child does not play at NRG, but we watched them play against other teams at a tournament. The NRG parents of this specific team were obnoxious. It was unfortunate to see adult men heckle 15 year old girls during a game and when the opposing team lost, then to have the audacity to turn to the opposing parents and taunt them by continuously waving bye. Disgraceful and embarrassing!

Most miserable location in all of DFW for volleyball tournaments. They have half the parking they need and a mud pit instead of putting down gravel in their overflow parking. I wish TDs would avoid this place at all costs! 50 cars will not get out of this mud today. (Then there’s the cold, constant wind and the zero WiFi.)

I am player at nrg, and it’s a really good place nice staff, big fans and if you can’t get a coach it’s your fault cause it’s more complicated then just applying and doing the bare minimum but it’s a good place the cost it’s kinda overpriced but your still playing and going to your tournaments, we have practice 2 times a week or more and 30 min workouts before or after and actually workout.

Not prepared for large crowds. No Wi-Fi signal!!! No toilet paper, soap or paper towels in the women’s bathroom this weekend and the bathrooms were dirty. Only 4-5 stalls total. The backside of the facility by court 5 was sweltering hot (no fans) while the front by court 1 was freezing cold. Issues with humidity and condensation on the back courts requiring our girls to stop play and wipe up/dry the floor multiple times with multiple players slipping on the court. Seems like a big issue. Owner was super rude because he had to park out in the grass (he was whining loudly about his parking spot being taken), while a huge line of cars was driving over rocks and dirt to find a spot ! parking is terrible for large groups, I’m sure it’s fine for practice days. There were more cars parked in the grass (which was more like a pasture) than cars parked in the parking lot… looks nice, but not super crowd friendly. Not the worst but could be better.

This was my review at first: The new facility is beautiful, easy to find, and has great parking. BUT after 2 horrible seasons I would NOT recommend this place for volleyball. The inexperience in coaching shows if your daughter isn't on the top team even though you're paying $5,000 a season (that's right 5 grand). Our first year was wonderful, our second season was horrible, and our last season was pitiful. They allow parents and their children to act inappropriately. I didn't plan on YMCA quality of a team or coach for the money being spent. Long story short stay away. Ollie is awesome with the girls though

Spent a lot of money and time with NRG including club play and travel. While some coaches seemed great, we ended up with coaches for two seasons that managed the team poorly, had infighting with the girls, and allowed cliques to run things. An old friend, who happens to be a local 6A volleyball coach and former club team coach and college player, attended two practices with me and suggested I talk with the management about the problems she saw. I did and nothing worked. She then attended a tournament and brought another 6A coach along and was appalled at the behavior of the girls and coaches. They both recommended I find another club. At the end of the last tournament, there's a huge fight, girls and coach screaming at each other for all the world to see. I talked to the owner after and he said that sometimes, you just get a bad team. We found another club that we're happy with.

I really like NRG and the coaches are great! My child has improved with each session but for the cost we pay, seems like you could have clean restrooms WITH TOILET PAPER AND SOAP! Having your Covid signs up still is pointless when you can’t even wash your hands after using the restroom. Maybe focus more on cleanliness (it still matters) instead of painting “reserve” on the parking spots by the front door.

DO NOT SIGN YOUR CHILDREN UP HERE. extremely rude and snotty "staff." paid way too much money for my kids to end up NOT HAVING A COACH ALL SEASON. minimal seating, bathrooms always a mess, toilet paper all over the ground, exposed dangerous hardware and cleaning supplies (that don't seem to ever be put to use) in bathrooms. dangerous for small children. after all the money i've given them, the owner still once forced me to back my car filled with children out onto busy highway, instead of letting me safely use parkinglot to turn around.

a great place. 🤷‍♀️, my coach is great and made me into the player i am now, i been playing here for 2 years now and i never had a bad experience. It’s also a fun way to make new friends, the training and coaching is also very good even for youth. Im currently in club league now and I improved even more being in this league . The only let down is the wifi, nrg also has a fit house and a store and a concession stand.

Please improve connectivity to the outside world by adding cellular repeaters inside or enhance your free wifi. Mansfield is 1 hour away so many parents could not go to watch our team. The parents present could not Livestream our games. The signal kept going out about every 7 minutes. I kept going outside to send chat updates to the team.

Very disappointing experience. We did not get our equipment on time. Our coach backed out in the beginning and we got another that frequently missed tournaments so we have had 2 different sub coaches at tournaments and several at practice. Our team has no consistency in coaching, no discipline, no investment in the girls and it shows. You also have to sign a contract as a parent basically saying that your role is only a cheerleader for the team. 3,100 is an expensive price to pay for what you actually get in return. Planning to check out a different club next season.

I do not recommend NRG. We were so excited to play here, but really disappointed with the lack of structure and player development. No refs, teenager coaches that do not correct/coach during the game, allowing blatant foot faults.

We’ve never played in any league of any sport, where athletes going into 2nd grade are playing against others going into 5th grade. The only positive is the nice facility. We might not even finish this season. We had better experiences at Fieldhouse and the Y.

No service in the gym, so had to walk outside the building to use my phone.

We paid over $100 for the same NRG t-shirt every player on every team got and another kid to “coach” mine.

No refs, coaches have no idea about rules or coaching, practices only before games, age groups are very spread out, all teams have same color jerseys, coaches are teenagers, no consistency on rules of the game, strategy is non-existent, etc.,etc…..
The YMCA has a better program for young girls than NRG. YMCA is consistent on all levels. I will not return to NRG next season. What a waste…

Great beach volleyball program in the summer with competitive indoor teams! High level skills coaching and a family oriented environment. We have been at NRG since my daughters 13U 2019-2020 season and she loves it; she has grown so much as a player!! If you're looking for a volleyball home, NRG is a great choice!!

My daughter stared here this past week. The place is great. Coach James (sweet ponytail) was excellent. He clearly knows the game, and really knows how to instruct the players and give them confidence. He’s also incredibly patient. There was an annoying and rude parent, for the other team, that kept criticizing the fact that Coach James as coaching during play. If I were the coach, I would’ve went code red on the jerk. Coach James handled it VERY professionally and calmly.

This facility was superb!!! Very clean and plenty of room. Loved we could bring our own chairs. The owner (i assume he was the owner) was so friendly and helpful! Only thing is their snack food selection is more for snacking VS meal options. Packing a lunch/dinner would be recommended.

Great facility for tournaments. They have a good amount of parking, too. Concession stand didn't have many options for actual meals and not snacks. There is zero cell service in the building but they do have free WiFi, that everyone in the building is trying to connect to. You can use your bleacher seat or bring a chair, you just can't set it up on their court surface.

The facility is very nice- good lighting for cameras! Our team experienced a few concerns- it was very humid and condensation was dropping on the court floors- we had to pause the game multiple times to request a towel to wipe up- also, the material of the floors made it very difficult to dive/slide for a ball...you would just stick...our girls have multiple strawberries and bruises!

EXPECTED MORE, TOTAL LET DOWN
My daughter 14yo, 1st time to play with NRG season (20-21) we were very excited to play, with hopes of improving and developing new skills.
The coach we signed with Acosta, lacked/s the ability to train and develop players, as he relied on the same drills that were performed at each practice. Players would make suggestions by purposing different variations/options but his ego and his need to be in control has blinded him and crippled the development of the players.
Nevertheless, the team has lost over 95% of the games we have played so far, and the girl’s are unhappy.
Complaints have been made with no satisfactory responses or actions from NRG management.
The season is still going, I’ll provide an update soon.

Great layout for a club volleyball facility!
There are beach courts outside with wonderfully fine beach sand. Inside there are 7 volleyball sports courts. Each court is on either side of a ample cement walkway. (Walkway is at least 30 feet across)
Early 2021 they have matches on five of their 7 courts. Each court has metal bleachers so bring a stadium seat. If you bring a lawn chair you must sit in the cement area in the middle of the facility and not on the sport courts.
They offer free WiFi and there is a concession stand.
They take temperatures when you walk in and there is a lobby area where you pay for your VB tournament wristband.

Ended the season early due to covid with many big tournaments to go and no refund on any money paid. Said they will give a discount next year, but they have a new complex. If I pay 100 for gas but only pump 50, the station will not say “we will give you a discount when, and if, you come back”. They will give the remaining balance back. The tournaments weren’t played so the money should be available. No communication thus far. Complex’s messages are full. Can’t get anyone on the phone.
