The gym isn't bad but definitely don't get a membership exclusively for the pool. I only got it to keep up laps over the summer and every time I go there's either classes or it's closed. They need fob access so it's open with the rest of the gym. It says on they're website when the pool is open but not on the door of the pool itself. There's a paper that says 24 hour access with key fob but no key fob there. Extremely inconvenient, small slots for someone to come by with a work schedule

I’ve been going here for less than a year using all equipment and tanning, but today I am denied access to tanning because I don’t “pay enough” per month to access this ? When I signed up I was never shown around or told what I could or couldn’t use with my membership. shame on y’all for going about things this cheaply during the pandemic. I pay enough per month here already.

Only gym in town with pool. Wish there were
other gyms with pools. This gym doesnt
offer Veterans discounts, only active military.
How many get the chance to have that discount? The pool...no kids before 5pm but
good luck getting in the pool after 5 with all
the lanes being used swim lessons and the
sauna area as well. By the way, there are signs that clearly say to shower before entering the pool, which to me is common courtesy. I have been many times and only one swim instructor and maybe 10 other people have followed those rules. The other instructors, their students and almost everyone else just jumps on in. I would assume this is why I always see white and gray hair clumps and other debris floating around in the water. Also the pool is only available for a short amount of time on the weekends. This is not convenient for those who work regular jobs on regular hours. As many members I see at this job joining for the price it costs for membership, it seems the gym could be staffed longer on the weekends
to accommodate the customers more.

I like the gym, but the pool was the real reason I joined. I do utilize both parts though. The staff has always been very friendly, but not overly friendly or pushy, to me. They never made me feel pressured to join, but they were very attentive any time I had questions. Not once, have they made me feel awkward or ashamed of myself. And that makes it easier for me to be comfortable enough to exercise.

I've been going to PFA for more than 15 years. They have updated their equipment numerous times since I joined. Their staff has always been cordial and helpful. I recommend their facility to anyone looking for a fitness center!

SCAM. Do not sign the authorization sheet for monthly payment without the entire form being filled out at the top. Even if they tell you you're only signing to approve monthly auto draft. They will fill it in later with a long term contract that you may not agree to and cannot get out of w/o paying 50% of remaining term. Read the fine print, even if they tell you that your signing for another reason. It is a lie. I was told that they weren't filling out the top of the form at time of signing b/c they would fill it out later so I didn't have to wait. I would have rather waited than allowing someone to fill it in later with information that I didn't agree to. Everyone knows that long term contracts pay more than month to month that's why I was scammed. Dishonest and disappointing.

Sometimes there's equipment broken for longer than I'd like, cardio equipment is dated & in need of replacing & there's been the occasional rash of rude employees, but I guess you'll get that anywhere in this business. The spin classes and fitness classes are good & included in membership so that's nice. Childcare is available with family membership which is fairly reasonable.
