I am so grateful to have met this studio in Houston! Pam is really, really professional and friendly! Gyrotonic in particular has been a great inspiration to me and I look forward to seeing pam again, I love her so much.

I recently started attending classes at the Pilates and Motion Studio. I am thoroughly impressed! My instructor Pam is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me in achieving my fitness goals. The studio itself is clean, well-equipped, and has a very nice atmosphere that makes every session enjoyable. I am already noticing a significant improvement in my core strength and flexibility. I highly recommend it!

Pam is extremely knowledgeable in so many facets of movement and is able to immediately identify how to enhance my fluidity and connection. She is a Master GYROTONIC trainer and it shows in all the tools that she brings to integrate the best possible instruction specifically tailored to each person that particular day!

I drive all the way from Conore Texas weekly now for almost a year just to take classes with Pam, she is a caring, compassionate, and a experienced instructor.
Chris is also wonderful when I get the chance to work with him.

I've been seeing Pam for Gyrotonics for several months now. I cannot express how much of a help she has been. She is caring, nurturing, responsive, and extremely patient.
I have very severe rheumatoid arthritis and with that--a very tough time moving in general. Pam can sense my pain and is always adjusting our sessions to allow me to move just a little more than I could before. She sees how much I try to move and is my personal cheerleader--cheering me on as I do even 1% more than last session. And it pays off. Over the course of these months I've gained more flexibility, I'm stronger, and I have so much hope that my situation will get better and better over time.
Thank you so much for everything Pam and I will see you at our next session :)

I paid almost 1K for private sessions and my last 2 classes the owner had other sessions with clients going on in the same room with another client while the instructor was teaching me. It was really hard to hear, focus and stay motivated. I generally don’t complain but when you are paying a higher price for a service then that is what is to be delivered. Today I came about 10mins early the owner asked me what I was doing there (my hair is usually in a bun) naturally curly but today it was straight..assuming she did not recognize me I stated I was there for a private session with her instructor that started in 10-15 mins she told me to go wait in my car. I find it odd and its growing uncomfortable each session. The owner then went upstairs to meet with her client. If I would have randomly walked in after she went upstairs I still would have been in the waiting area… like I did the week before without having to go to my car. Pointing out she stated this in front of her loyal clients and gave me the boot when I simply was sitting on a chair smiling at her clients.
I’m a lot different looking than her other looking high class clients being tanned skin tone and I would hate to feel like I’m being treated differently when my pockets and class aren’t any different. You never know someone’s status by looking at them.
When speaking to the owner she kept insisting on more fees to accommodate services paid for as if I did not have the money to pay for my services. She then suggested a $500 an hour fee to rent out her whole studio to be funny.
Usually a private session is a 1:1 session with the trainer, instructor or what have you. She stated that is not how her studio runs and it can be quite a few others in the same session. If this is the case she should have disclosed when paying that sessions were more in a group like vicinity and I would of happily paid for classes elsewhere or paid more than half the price to join a franchise. The other clients she was with was laughing hysterically and impulsively during my session that the instructor had to keep raising her voice so I can hear her on the reformer machine. I have paid for a personal trainer over a year with private sessions, private chef in Turks n Caicos, private holistic yoga instructor that taught reiki and they were ALL private just myself and the teacher/instructor/coach/chef etc. teaching me for my paid services without interruption.
The owner was absolutely contradicting and passive when I took it upon myself to speak about my experience professionally. Never asked for any money back just wanted to see if she suggested quieter times.
Maybe the owner should disclose that it may be semi private sessions when you pay for private 1:1 sessions and others will be in the room in a small space with you. Also please note that she does offer "semi-private" sessions for a lot less but it has to be with someone you refer. Now, that I'm thinking of it it seems like a scam scheme and she is still in fact having clients pay the price for "private" seasons when in fact are not private.
This was supposed to be a wholesome, holistic experience and despite race, age, or sex everyone should be held to that standard.
Honestly cannot wait to do my last 7-8 sessions and book elsewhere.
Helga one of the instructors is absolutely amazing. She is why I’m sticking through this or would have cared less about 1k going down the drain. I know she drives to this particular studio for her clients from other places she attends to for her livelihood.

Great Pilates studio and great owner! I’m not sure how anyone could think that the owner is racist considering the melting pot of people that work with her in the studio. I have known/worked on Pam for 9 years and have never seen any hint of racism. I would recommend this studio for anyone who’s looking for knowledgeable instructors who care about your well-being.

I️ would like to recommend Pilates and Motion to people that need help with core strengthening, back problems (or other muscular skeletal issues), those that want to spend quality time working out, or just to have fun.
Pam, the owner of the studio, is always full of ideas, easily accommodating to your body changes, and very pleasant to get trained with.
The studio has Pilates and Gyrotonic equipment suitable for different needs.
I️ would also like to commend the studio on cleanliness and aesthetics.

Pilates and Motion is a wonderful studio staffed with knowledgeable and attentive instructors, who will work with you individually to meet your personal needs. The studio is fully equipped with state of the art equipment that enhance your exercising experience. This is by far the best pilates studio I have been to in the Houston/Katy area. I have had lower back pain for about 10 years, and prior to doing pilates here, I tried physical therapy and stretching, but did not experience much relief. However, since going to the studio, for over a year now, I have experienced great relief! It's hard to believe, but my pain has decreased significantly. This has happened more drastically over the last 3 months, as I attended 3 classes a week, every week, and I am extremely happy with the difference I feel in my body. My back pain is nearly all gone, which is pretty amazing! I feel stronger, "taller," more flexible, and altogether healthier. All the instructors do a wonderful job educating you about your body, and how to best "treat" (if you're experiencing pain or have had an injury), and strengthen it! The variety of classes offer opportunities to work on different parts of your body, and all contribute to the stretching and lengthening of your muscles, and strengthening of your core. I highly recommend the studio! It's a must try if you're looking for a pilates studio, or if you are seeking a stronger, healthier lifestyle!

Have been going to Pilates and Motion for over a year now. I love it and the instructors are so welcoming. I just got some great flip flop by Juil for spring. Yea Spring! Pam always has her clients best interest at heart. That's why the studio is stock with great things like Juil sandals!

I can't say enough about how wonderful this studio is! The equipment is unbelievable, the studio is spotless and clean, and the instructors are some of the best anywhere! The classes are extremely varied so that you never (ever!) get bored. I've been coming to this studio for about 4 years and I don't think that I've ever had two classes the same :)
Pilates as well as Gyrotonic classes can be done at almost any fitness level. The exercises are done on equipment that has adjustable resistance. I have knee issues but can pretty much do all the exercises with just some slight modifications.
It is amazing how often I hear other clients say "I used to have really bad back pain" ... "I used to have shoulder issues" ... all in the past tense because these classes were able to help address their pain.
Before I started taking Pilates Reformer, one of my friends was adament that everyone woman over 40 should do these. I couldn't agree more but think that everyone, regardless of age or sex, can see some amazing changes in their bodies. So many of the clients in class are young ... in their 20's or 30's and are amazed at the strength and toning they see after a few classes! And, the men very quickly realize how hard Pilates or Gyrotonic can be :)
Classes are done in very small group settings ... max 5 people for Pilates Reformer. This gives almost a personal trainer approach to the classes where each student gets personal guidance and correction. Compared with prices of Reformer classes in Houston proper, Pilates and Motion prices are great ... plus, you do not see a studio like this anywhere in the city :) And, compared with personal trainers, these classes get the same results for a fraction of the price.
As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of this studio and the instructors. Plus, everyone in the group classes is so much fun to be around. This studio is a great place to make friends and work out while having a great time!

Lovely studio. VERY well equipped . here you will find reformer, chairs, barrels, tower... also CoreAling ( one of my favorites classes, great if you wish to truly strength your core. They also have Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis classes. I truly love the Gyrotonic exercises using the equipment. Best of all are the instructors , they are all very detailed oriented to the best results for your exercises. I also learned they provide message therapy and also have an infrared sauna. This is a not to be missed place if you are looking to strong your core, your body in general and improve your posture.
