Me and my husband joined about 1 month ago,
It our first time in a gym, we both really liked it, mostly everything , we had been going every other day for the past few weeks,
And the last two days that we were there I saw two different women one on each day ,
(. Using more than one machine at the same time, I am not sure if anyone can do that, but I don’t think that is allowed
I like that there is a lot of choices, and also there is more than one same machine, but still I don’t think that’s right.

I generally come to use the amenities that i pay for aka the shower and was addressed by the manager that I can not use a name brand cleaner to clean the shower before use. I have asked that spray station be provided in the restroom and that has not been done..

Nobody else that i have observed as far as woman cleans the showers after showering.
Talk about ick!
I don't know if other people who use the shower has worms, parasites, yeast infections, douched, poops in the shower or has lice or left toothpaste, or hair products in the shower so that's why I clean the one i am using before use.

Many people do come to the gym sick and don't care if they are passing sickness to others i seen one lady cough into the hand dryer.

Also in the shower, the shower curtains can be moved about 3inches to the west to prevent them from sticking to the buttocks or the body as idk how many other butts it has stuck to prior to me being in there, there is a drain catcher on the floor for a reason.

During the discussion. When asked the manager if the planet fitness spray that is offered kills parasites and the like there was not a definitive answer.

I also asked for a copy of the policy and was denied that and told that a verbal is all that needed to be given.

I need some one to contact me for for harassment from the Gym manager.

I called to see if i might have a late fee removal. I was struggling a bit after losing a job.
The person said no because I have recently had one.
I then explained i havent had a late fee removal in about a year and she said they haven't been taking late fees off for about a year and I was deliclined.

We got 1 additional plate loaded machine & 1 other machine. 1 bench for curls with a plate loaded curl bar. There was no “Recovery Lounges by CryoLounge+”

PF finally turned the music back up. It is still too low for peak hours. I don’t always bring my headphones and can’t stand to hear people playing their music on their phones, grunting and slamming weights.

Update 2024: I am not happy with the Matrix machines. Many of them do not connect to the Apple watch, fans don't work & some of the tv controllers do not work either.
The music is so low that you can hear people talking on their phones & weights slamming on days I forget my headphones.

It's a decent gym, but everyone fighting over what songs that get played on Rockbot is enough to make someone not wanna go during rush hour when everyone with an ego thinks that their song request is more important than other people's, and will continuously down vote your request just so theirs gets first dibs and yours never plays until well after you've left the gym. In other words, they're basically the equivalent of Reddit trolls. Not fun, not enjoyable, not my idea of a "no egos" environment.

Couldnt use the bench cuz some girl was flirting with the ginger staff for over 15mins..and had the nerve to say, "I was using that!"...in reality, she was a Equipment hogger, and some people that block or crowd the area so that other people can't use them. Full of grunting boys, creepers that follow the pretty girls, floors are dirty, restrooms dirty, Staff letting their friends in for free. The old Real Manager was Strict on rules and courteously of people's time. If someone was taking forever on a machine or bs'ing around and hogging it..he would ask the person to move on..or be quieter in the gym.

Manager Caleb is the absolute G.O.A.T! He is always so nice and very helpful! Communicates very well and very informative! GIVE THAT MAN ALL THE RAISES!

Caleb was extremely helpful in getting my account squared away and getting my home gym transferred! Seriously yall give that man a raise. I had the absolutely hardest time for months before Caleb was hired on trying to get my account situated after my move. Since Caleb was hired on as a manager I haven’t had a single issue that he hasn’t been able to help me with or at a minimum get me all the information I needed for next steps.

About 6 months ago I used to hate coming. The previous manager would hit on every girl that walked in including me. Recently tho, I gave it a chance again because of the new year and was pleased to be greeted at the door with motivating “get it in!” And when I leave it’s “good job, see you tomorrow”. The entire vibe is different and even the workers seem happy to be here making it an awesome experience. I don’t like that we always have to wait for the stair master but I was assured that might change soon so I’m excited for what they might be working on. There’s a young kid at the front named Jay who is always either cleaning something or smiling talking to the people working out answering questions. The gyms always spotless and even got a pic of how detailed they are! Seems like the new manager is always involved and not afraid to get his hands dirty to help his staff which is awesome to see, too. Just what a turn around I must say!

This place used to be great, but now that they allow anyone in the women's restrooms, after 10 + years as a member, I canceled. I do not want to bring my daughter and have a grown man in the same restroom as us. When I canceled, they didn't ask why. I left a comment, and the manager called and told me that they don't allow that in Alvin, but we all know that corporate policies Trump what any employee says. I refuse to support a business that doesn't respect my privacy and right to use a bathroom and shower room for women. I do not want men in my restroom, not to be hateful it just makes me uncomfortable as I am entitled to privacy and safety.

I'm a long time member, but due to I guess corporate decisions, I might have to leave PF. Moving the 30 Minute Workout out of it's own room was not a wise decision. Putting it right by the free weights even a worse decision. Now us older, retired folks can't do our workouts without waiting on people who just pop on to certain machines finish what they are doing. Staff doesn't do anything about people sitting on machines, texting, doing multiple sets, while people who are actually trying to do the thirty minute workout stand and wait. If this was truly a corporate decision, they need to reevaluate this ridiculous move.

It is conveniently located, very clean, reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. I do wish the gym had higher weight dumbbells, a free weight squat rack and free weight bench press bar, but I also understand the clientele PF caters to and why they don’t have those options in the gym. It’s not a gym for power lifters, more for the every man. I have a second gym membership elsewhere for my heavy lifting and barbell days, but the lower tier PF membership is cost-effective enough for me to keep PF as my primary gym and still have the second gym membership. Overall, I really enjoy the Planet Fitness Alvin location. Thanks!

Judge free zone! Is their motto and exactly how I have experienced this place. Every time I have come to this Planet Fitness the staff and customers have never eye judged me, at least where I can see it, nor made me have lower self-esteem. We are all there to do what we need to do to become better physically/mentally stronger individuals. It is clean which is huge + for a place you go sweat up a storm in. Also, the black card perks are amazing! I do wish they had a trainer still so I can ask my fitness questions to the trainer, I know they are working on getting one again. Hoping one day soon! 10/10 Recommend this place if it is the closest Planet Fitness to you. I am happy!

I want to give flowers where they’re due and Fatima at the Alvin, TX location went above and beyond for me today. I had an ongoing issue that I have not been able to resolve for over 2 years and just by her taking the time to listen (really listen) to me and troubleshoot a couple things, she helped me and solved my problem! Customer service goes a long way and I wish everyone had a Fatima at the front of their business to help all customers feel like guests. Just subscribed again today after cancelling my membership last year or so. The only thing i asked for was to use those massaging chairs and the guy there was rude.

My husband cancelled his account a month ago and the person who cancelled it was completely rude. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the person, but by all the negative reviews maybe it’s Larry?!? Now a month later we are charged a monthly fee not understanding why, I went up to planet fitness late at night to speak with the kind gentleman who advised me whoever took our last payment froze our account instead of cancelling it. He showed me on the computer what they had done and showed that there was no drop down to cancel it. Now the gentleman I spoke with advised me he is leaving do to the corrupt and just negligent admins. He said they take forever todo there job and you asking to cancel with the admin is just a suggestion at the end of the day it is there idea if it’s just frozen or actually cancelled. At this point I don’t want to talk to admin I want someone from corporate. Corporate needs to come down and clean these so called managers out and send them on there way. Don’t mess with my money or a lawsuit may come.

This is sadly the worse experience I have ever encountered at a work out center . Today I went in with my wife to work out and I just got into the first machine where the circuit that I usually work out on is a gentleman named Bryce walked up to me and said that the manager”Larry “ told him that I was not gonna be able to stay unless I paid an old $70 balance I said well I don’t have any $70 balance and And we walked up front where we met Larry
“Manager”. At this point my wife and I were told We were told that the bill had to be paid or my account had to be canceled there was no working around it I said well what if this is fake And I need to be able to look into this he said no you have to pay or you have to cancel your account so I just wanted to Your account was was coming from Larry.. My question was OK Larry what can I do to prove that this is invalid and how are you proving that it is in fact It’s from 2017 and I have never received a bill on this and when I came and joined back at the gym And May 2023 I was not given any information about about this supposed to bill of $73. I need to speak to Larry’s boss ASAP I hope you read these reviews and contact me,! I do not believe that this man is He had no solutions other than his way or the That business with the public works He acted more like he’s running a jail Get real!!!!’ Eve please contact me or hade the owner contact me, you have my information.

New manager Larry is less then helpful. He was extremely rude today when discussing account. This is after My husband was approached by Bryce stating he need to go to the front. When questioning the account Larry was extremely unprofessional and would only say I was brought In to fix this place. He would not help us only stati g he would be canceling my husband's 2nd account that we did not even know existed. He would not work with us to fix the issue. I came to this planet fitness for the first time last night around 10:55pm for my nightly routine , My guest and I were treated so rudely that we were there all of 5 minutes. The employee was very rude and nasty and when confronted about said rudeness we were kicked out and police were threatened to be called . As long as I've been with planet fitness I've never experienced this and if someone could contact me about this whole ordeal that would be great!!

Always 4 or 5 employees including the manager standing up front talking to each other or a random hot girl, while the restrooms, and gym are absolutely filthy. The restrooms have paper scattered on the floor, sinks are full of hair and tobacco dip, every single toilet is clogged. Half the sinks don’t even work. Smh. Cheap gym, cheap results I guess. I brought it up to the black guy manager and he joked and said I should clean it up, also seemed irritated I brought it to his attention. It’s 2pm on a Wednesday, they’re not even busy. What have they been doing all day?? I’m just gonna start driving out of town to a gym I can use the restroom at when I need to, and is kept up with.
