Been going to this location off/on for the past 5 years since they’ve opened. I normally have to go late night due to work and normal it’s petty clean and well kept, but last time I went on 11/26/25 , the drinking water filter was yellow and the late night crew nowhere to be seen.

Overall I’m pretty happy with the place as it’s close but my two biggest gripes is that the lunk alarm, although a PF novelty, should be replaced with a giant clock to easily be able to keep track of your workout.
Secondly, the smith machines are NOT aligned and it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I went in with my sister today for the first time and the dark skinned young lady at the front desk this evening around 7:40pm was extremely rude from the moment we walked in. She made a face at us and when I went to get a water she was making inappropriate comments on people trying to work out I also saw a couple people try to ask for her help and she kept giving them a hard time with a nasty attitude almost harassing them I felt so bad for them. it’s like nobody taught this girl customer service skills! I’ve gone to other planet fitness but i’ve never encountered someone with such a nasty attitude as hers I tried to get her name but her name tag was covered by her hair. My sister mentioned it’s not the first time she’s like this, she’s tried to ask for her help before and she complete ignores her, what a disappointment experience We will not be back. Planet fitness you need to train your employees better!

Sigh... This is not my home location, but I went here for the first time today. The gym is breathtaking. The staff were all polite and professional. The problem I had was with the members...
I got there and went to do my regular routine in my typical order. However, all of the leg machines were occupied by people who were just sitting there looking at their phones. So, I went to start on arms. Was able to get those done, and looked back up at the leg machines, and I'll be damned if the same exact people were sitting in the same places staring at their phones. So, I went to work on crunches. One of the ab crunch machines had no seat leaving only one working machine. Cut to the chase, the woman there was sitting there staring at her phone. I timed her. She sat there for 28 minutes from the time I first noticed her there. Ok fine, so I went to the back to do the adductor and abductor leg machines. Well wouldn't you know it, everyone was just sitting in there with their phones! One lady was taking selfie videos for five minutes! I gave up, walked a mile on a treadmill (which was a very nice treadmill!) and went home. I will try another location Friday.

I absolutely love the Planet Fitness at Spring Cypress (26086 US-290, Cypress, Houston, TX). Since Clarence became the GM, the gym has improved dramatically. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. I used to see dust on the machines when I stretched on the mats, but not anymore—now I always see the staff diligently cleaning the entire gym during my visits.
Another significant change has been the friendliness of the staff. Everyone greets you warmly when you arrive and when you depart, which makes the atmosphere incredibly welcoming. Clarence, along with Latecia, Stephanie, Amy, DeAndre, Mattie, and Pani, are all outstanding!
I look forward to saying hello to the front desk team as much as I enjoy my workouts.

It's a great place to work out, only 3 stars because of the lack of privacy in the shower design. I was a member at a PF in Illinois a few years ago, and the shower layout was much better there. It would be much better if the changing area was attached to the shower stall to give more privacy when showering and entering/exiting the shower to the changing area. Also, it would be more secure for personal belongings that way. My BF had his clothes in a changing stall and when he got out of the shower, there was someone else in that changing stall with my BF's bag.

They don’t refund for their fault. They automatically transferred my home gym, I never made the transfer request. I have a black card so I don’t need to transfer my home gym to work out. They charged me for the annual fee on 5/1/2025, the monthly payment on 5/19, then I come back to my home gym on 6/1 and they didn’t let me in because they said my card was expired. Now I want to cancel because of the bad experiences I got, they said they won’t refund anything to me. I paid 80 dollars for comming here to work out in 5 days.

Yes, I’ve traded in my beloved bench press and squat rack for the Smith Machine of Shame—and no, I still can’t make peace with the purple-and-yellow Crayola explosion that is Planet Fitness. But you know what? I’ve gained something valuable: a spotless gym. Seriously, every single location I’ve visited has been squeaky clean.

I've snuck in a few tanning sessions (don’t judge), and I’ve let the HydroMassage chair work its magic on my sore glutes after a savage workout. Honestly, joining Planet Fitness felt like a betrayal at first—like I was cheating on my inner meathead.

Now, have I seen any staff that look like they actually lift? Not really. Most look like they’ve mistaken protein powder for powdered sugar. And the members? Let’s just say we're all at different stops on the Fitness Highway. But hey, no judgment—this place is a judgment-free zone, after all.

Bottom line: My gripes are cosmetic. The gym does its job, and does it well. I came to sweat, and I leave feeling accomplished (and occasionally bronzed). Not bad, Planet Fitness. Not bad at all.

Was told to be “mindful” by an employee for weights being to loud coming down. Lifting a full stack of weights is going to make some noise coming down. They weren’t being dropped…. I absolutely love Planet Fitness, and this location in particular. There are plenty of machines; the gym area, locker room, bathroom, and showers are always clean, and the water is always hot in the showers.
If you have a black card, there is an abundance of massage chairs and hydro massage beds, so you never have to wait for them.

The VERY BEST thing about this location though, are the STELLAR employees. Every single employee I've had the pleasure of meeting here has been so kind, positive, encouraging, and helpful.

I’ve tried for 3 years to cancel my membership they have been giving excuses of all types and keep telling me I have to do different stuff to be able to cancel which is crazy I’ve done it all.. so I block them from my payment method an somehow they access one of my credit cards an not only charges me but charged me 58$ when I only have a balance of 34$ they have stolen from me an continue to do it from so many others.. so not only do they not care about their guest they also steal an lie about them too just to be able to get their money.. an it’s impossible to try an talk to someone that can actually help

I just love it when people are working there, just standing around, flirting with girls, and then when we get off a machine, he asks us very rudely to move the weights which we were about to, because we had just gotten off of from a set, and they were there when we got there, we were going to move them, and we stood up for a couple seconds, and he decides to hound us about moving the weights, saying that if you use it, you need to put the weights back.WILL NOT BE BACK and advise you to do the same.

After being gone from the gym for a couple of months, due to the holidays and some medical issues I had to deal with. I had finally had the time to come back to the gym, only to find at my dismay, that this gym is no longer 24/7.

The only reason I go to this gym is because it is so conveniently close to my work place, and to find out that I can only go 3 times a day instead of my usual 5, I feel as if it's just no longer worth it going here.

I would give zero stars if I could. A bald man behind the desk, possibly in his mid-40s, gave me the worst customer service experience of my life. My girlfriend and I decided to try out this location for the first time today, and we will never go back.

We finished our leg workout and wanted to try the Black Card Spa, which initially drew us in. When we approached the desk to use the Beauty Angel and the tanning bed, the bald man immediately yelled, “NO, YOU CANNOT DO THAT.” Puzzled, I asked for clarification, but he just kept repeating himself before finally explaining that we both needed memberships to use the machines. Fine, but he could have communicated that like a normal person.

I decided to wait while my girlfriend used the tanning bed. The bald man then asked her to choose a number between 1-6 for how badly she thought she would burn. Confused, she responded, “You can max it out; I don’t burn.” Instead of accepting her answer, he continued to patronize her, demanding she pick a number.

This man clearly lacks customer service skills and professionalism. He seems to hate his job and retaining customers even more. Planet Fitness, this man is a liability to your company!

I'm deeply disappointed with the current state of this gym, especially regarding the staff they’ve hired. Recently, I had an upsetting encounter with an employee named Jimmy, who displayed unprofessional behavior. He aggressively yelled at me simply because my brother accompanied me. As a Black Card member, I’m entitled to bring a guest, so this reaction was unwarranted and completely out of line.

Jimmy's actions and demeanor—marked by anger and judgment—are the opposite of the values MOJO Gym claims to uphold. It’s alarming that someone like this could be hired, and it reflects poorly on the management and hiring practices at this location. It seems like no effort was made to ensure he aligns with the gym’s standards, let alone provide adequate customer service.

The declining quality of staff and experiences at this gym make it increasingly difficult to enjoy the facilities. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed promptly.

Three stars because it’s new and good for the community. But really it’s two stars. I’ve been here for about 4-5 days and I usually don’t make reviews unless it’s all good, and or all bad. In this case there’s too many run-ins with problems here in my short time span. I come here to work out, and be part of the friendly, respectful atmosphere. Zone out and work on my results. When I come to use a machine and it nearly knocks me out because a bolt is loose, is simply because there’s a failure in the assembly of the machine, or it’s been tampered with, I’m not gonna let anyone bully me, we all put our pants on in the morning and want to come home the same way we left, if not better, so if I feel wronged I will express my point of view. That being said, when I say a machine is faulty please fix it, I expect it to be fixed or put a sign on it designating the leg curl machine as “out-of-order.” It doesn’t take an engineer to tighten the screw. Heck, give me the Allen-wrench, and I’ll fix it. I don’t need no maintenance guy to fix it. I invest in this gym, I expect it to be in order, especially considering it’s a NEW gym! Not gonna run me off that easily! Until I can feel good here, This will be my opinion on this location. I’m a customer and should respected as such. Regardless of wether or not you think I belong here. That’s always my attitude considering my side of town, and how the majority thinks. I’ve been here longer than most of you all, I respect my home, and my community and only wish for everyone to get along and show respect. God bless. Until next time.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. My mom signed up to do a morning personal training session and was treated horribly. This was her first time doing anything like this, and the personal trainer that she was assigned to was extremely rude, unintelligent, and disrespectful. He did not greet to her, make eye contact with her, he threw paperwork at her, and told her that she was wasting his time. She was nothing but kind, hopeful, and excited walking into the gym. I wish I knew the name of this small man, but how would I? He never introduced himself to my mom after she tried greeting him, introducing herself, and saying good morning to him multiple times. He ignored her every time. This man was the rudest person she has ever met, he has no business training people or working in a gym. The gym is supposed to be a place where people should feel safe, and comfortable, yet she left in tears. Planet Fitness management dealt with it by saying "I'm sorry you had a bad experience." She got offered no true apology, accountability or refund. 10/10 recommend NEVER going to this gym. They don't care about protecting their clients. My mom couldn't cancel her membership fast enough. Management is just as much at fault for the way they handled it. I guarantee you they will respond to this review with the same way they responded to the incident, "I'm sorry you had that experience." I don't want to hear any of that bs. He needs to learn how to treat people with kindness and respect, making them feel safe and comfortable in the gym. If he can't do that, he shouldn't be working here or anywhere in customer service. Management needs to learn how to take accountability for their employee's actions, instead of dismissing it, and shoving it under the rug. I wouldn't wish meeting this man, (let alone being trained by him) on my worst enemy. I don't want to hear whatever weak response you have to this review, so save it, and do better next time. Love this PF location. I'm a Black Card member who goes to workout at many various PF locations. This is one of the cleanest gyms I've been to. I actually witnessed a PF Associate cleaning the Men's locker room. I've never seen this before as most locations wait until the contracted cleaning crew comes in late at night to perform a quick housekeeping clean up. From the moment you walk in to the gym there is always someone to greet you at the front counter. Everyone you encounter is friendly and respectful of your space. There are plenty of machines and equipment and they are constantly being cleaned. I enjoy working out here because you don’t have to deal with all the social media people that are taking selfies like at other gyms. Great place if you are truly looking to improve your health. Wow!!! This was my 1st time to this location off 290 & Spring Cypress! Walked in around noon on a Sunday and I was very pleasantly surprised! This place was “Gleaming” like the Emerald City!!! They have soo many cardio machines to choose from and their treadmills are Amazing! Place was top to bottom clean! Locker Rooms, showers and Bathroom Clean and Just soo esthetically pleasing! He was on some sort of power trip about the flops like seriously grilling me.😵‍💫🤣 All I wanted to do was see if it was a good gym or not by looking around not actually working out. besides I was in normal clothes too not work out etire. I am a member at planet fitness in New Braunfels and have the black card but tried using the gym at Cypress but wasn't allowed because I forgot my phone and they couldn't go by my phone number, I thought they were just being a little too strict with this rule.

A Gym That Gets It Right

When I hit the gym, I want space to move around freely. This place delivers on that front. No more feeling crowded during workouts.

The variety of machines here is impressive. Whether I'm into cardio or strength training, I never have to wait long to get on a machine.

Cleanliness matters to me, and this gym nails it. The equipment is always spotless, and there are wipes and sanitizers everywhere for easy cleaning.

Finding weights is a breeze here. They're always racked neatly, so I don't waste time searching.

When something breaks, they fix it fast. I've never had to wait long for equipment to be repaired.

Overall, this gym ticks all the boxes for me: space, cleanliness, and efficiency. It's become my go-to spot for staying in shape.

I started this year. I came in and requested (and got) a tour, and got in. It's been v good. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and v matured. My co gym members are v friendly and respectful, it is a multi ethnic, huge family with various differences but ALL ALWAYS respectful and supportive. I am happy and super excited. O yes, the equipment are all super cool affording various types of exercises. Thanks y'all

Jimmie is probably the worst manager to ever deal with, walked in inquiring about transferring my membership to Active and fit direct. Before I could even give my membership information he instantly said no, I know this transfer is possible since it was just done on a family members own account. I tried again to give him my account information but he refused to even put it in the system. I called another location and they instantly were able to help with the exact same request I had asked Jimmie to assist with. The issue is the refusal to not only assist but to listen and attempt to understand the situation before simply shutting down and repeatedly saying no while avoiding eye contact and dismissing us .

Although the facility was clean lots of space to workout and very big. The staff is something to be desired especially the trainer. This was only my second time here and I wanted more info on training. I stopped at the front desk to speak to the guy and he acted as though I wasn't there. He was behind the counter leaned over watching something on one of the televisions. As I attempted to talk to him he never looked at me and gave me short answers. I'm not young and pretty but still deserve respect and courtesy.

The “Assistant Manager” Natalie just stares at you and doesn’t greet you, even when you’re at the counter. I came with a guest who also felt it was rude. I purposely only checked in the guest and went to walk away to see if she talks and low & behold, SHE TALKS! She made sure to let me know that I had only singed in the the guest, I was sure to let her know that I’m use to being greeted when entering a Planet Fitness. She ignored my grievance and said she was only concerned with me checking myself in. I feel as though she was very rude. I’m not sure it was because I’m black or maybe she doesn’t greet anyone. She could believe it’s above her position as assistant manager. BTW, she wasn’t doing anything but standing there at the time. The least she could’ve done was greet. No

Planet Fitness Cypress, Texas. I love the Elliptical Equipment ! The TVs are Fabulous. Each TV lists the Channel it's on, and the Audio Channel is Clearly Marked. The Volume is adequate to hear clearly, each audio channel.
