Gym is a great place to workout in and staff are usually friendly. Had the worst experience today as one of the workers named Josh was very rude about not being able to use the Total Body Enhancement when I previously used it and was never made aware of having a black card to do so. Now I am aware but it was the way he decided to handle the situation and be very unprofessional for no reason. Hope to see some improvement here!

The place is not bad but the staff they’re not all great. I had three different Instances where things were missing in the locker room the first time they just took random things such as shampoo towel, etc. so when that happened, I did notify an employee there. They were just surprised and they didn’t mention anything about any general rules or protocols that they have to do daily the second time it was something as simple as a towel again so I didn’t think nothing of it, but I did ask an employee a different one is stealing common in this gym and they replied no, but you can always get a lock and I said do I have to buy or rent out A locker and they replied no you just bring a lock again didn’t mention anything about a protocol or any rules on a 24 hour locker usage this third time I had an emergency surgery that cost me to be gone for five days stuck in a hospital and the first day out, I went to go get my things out of the locker but when I got there, there was no lock and nothing inside when I ask the associate which happened to be the manager, she said we have a 24 hour clean out your locker rule and I told her I had things in there and she said well typically we put them in a bag for you and we keep them in the front so she looked and she gave me a black bag and I was OK with that on my way to the car I decided to check the bag and my headphones were missing. Now I know three hundred dollar headphones are probably just a materialistic thing but it’s the principal of the fact that nobody told me about this role after multiple times of my things going missing. It’s also messed up how apparently employees are picking and choosing items that they find in the lockers or take out in the lockers and imagine how many people don’t know about this role and just assume someone stole their stuff . So going back inside to this location I let the manager know that I’m missing my headphones and she seem to just look for them and not find them. They later told me that I had to wait for them to look at the cameras and then they’ll call me back hopefully by Thursday, which is 30 January 2025 and they didn’t take long to call me the following day Which was 28 January 2025 and I do appreciate the promptness and they told me we found your headphones. You can come pick them up mind you I don’t live close to this location cause I had just moved. I went there because I enjoyed going there at 5 AM every day so when I went today, January 29, 2025 I asked the manager who happen to be the same lady who helped me out to find the black bag with my things in it if I can get the name of the employee that they caught on camera taking my Headphones home so that I can complain on them she said no, and she said that they’ve been verbally spoken to to not touch anybody else’s things which I think is so unfair because if you have someone that’s a thief as an employee is crazy so as any customer would I replied with so they just get off with a verbal warning is there anyway that you guys can compensate me maybe pay a month or a couple off of this membership for the trouble that I went through not to mention there’s still some items I didn’t get from the first two times And she said she has to ask so she went into the back had a conversation with I don’t know who came back out and said no I asked for a corporate number. She didn’t have one. She said you can just go online and take a survey for a company that is very large. That is very known. You’re telling me I can’t contact an actual corporate office to express my concerns. i’m just very upset about the experience that was provided at this location. I am on a weight loss journey so I decided to keep the membership. I will be changing home base for planet fitness you need to do better. Your employees need to do better because at this location, it looks like they’re just taking things when people aren’t going and the employees choose and pick what they want and then put the rest in a freaking bucket until they ask or at least let it be known with getting a Membership all the rules

Waited 5 minutes at the front desk until I began to walk around to find an employee. When I returned to the desk there was magically guy there, guess maybe he was busy.

This place is gross. I get it, some people are left without homes. That doesn’t mean they should be sleeping in the hydro beds at 4am. 3 of 4 hydro beds were occupied by people sleeping with blankets. I was told “oh some girls fell asleep.” No lights came on in the room, honestly it was awkward. One girl grabbed her blanket and walked over to another, looked at me like I was a problem. I guess I’d be mad too if a stranger interrupted the comfort of my deep sleep.

I only use this gym on Saturday or Sunday mornings very early as mine doesn’t open until 7am. Normally, I go to the Rowlett location. I can’t recommended the Rowlett location enough. Garland at Duck Creek should take some notes on how the one in Rowlett is ran. If you don’t like the crap you see at this Garland location, I promise you the Rowlett one is nothing like this, give it a try.

I wish this location would be more persistent about fixing the system, the past 2 weeks I've gone it has been down. I have also noticed the glute kickback machine has not been working as well as the drinking fountain. It has been kept very clean, but the paper towel dispensers need to be checked more often and fixed as needed. I would also like to see the glute bridge be added to this location.

I really enjoy this gym. There are plenty of machines and all seem to be in really good working condition. They have a separate area for women to work out in. The locker room and restroom, shower area is always clean. I am not in the best of body shape but I never feel out of place or discriminated against here. I have quit other gyms because of the way the staff made me feel about my body. If you need extra help on learning how to work one of their machines , they are always enthusiast about showing you. I encourage anyone looking for a gym to join this place is awesome.

Love this gym! The manager is really welcoming and runs the facility very well. They stay on top of always keeping everything clean. Compared to other planet fitnesses this one is not overly packed and crazy. This is by far my favorite location I drive the extra miles and pass 2 local planet fitness locations just to get to this one. If you have the app it tells you when they are less packed , I usually only go if it has 2 bars or less 🙂

Yesterday there was a certain Savanah and she wouldn't let us in because the system, according to her, we hadn't paid, she made me pay and immediately charged me double for the membership, I asked a certain Josua to cancel the double payment and he said he couldn't To resolve it, it was around 9:00pm and the Manager was not there. He told me to arrive today, I did at 4:00pm again, the Manager was not there nor was anyone competent to solve my problem. Today Savanah, who claims to be a shiff leader and was the one who made the mistake of double charging, could not solve my problem. It is frustrating that no one competent can solve problems like mine and others. Customer service is very bad, almost no one speaks Spanish and almost the majority of us are Latinos.

There is no green light/red light in the 30 minute circuit area, so you have to watch the clock yourself. People post up on the same machine for 15 minutes, mostly looking at their phones and only occasionally using the machine.

What saves this place from getting one star is the friendly staff and always help staff at the front desk. It's clean. It would get 5 stars if the corp itself didn't rip me off and every month with late fees like it's my fault the autopsy isn't working. Two months consecutive they have charged me late fees and my card and bank account are on file. If I get charged a late fee again I will reduce this to a one star rewrite my review and cancel.

I have not experienced rude staff like others, but they do seem to just placate you when you have a concern. I have complained about the 30 minute workout room several times. It's supposed to be monitored ( or at least the sign says so), but people come in and use it like any other equipment in the gym; they choose a machine and " homestead" it, usually sitting on the machine playing on their phones or even visiting with other guests. When I try to explain to these people that it is for circuit training all I get is sour looks and I have to skip those machines. Why can't people follow the rules? What can PF do to enforce the rules? Should everyone who joins be educated on the proper use of this room?

I have a low bar as to what a gym needs to offer; that being the equipment needs to be available. When I first joined planet fitness two or three years ago and made the Garland South location my primary club, they were very good at having equipment available. You might see a couple of "out of order-parts ordered" signs on machines but those machines were operable within days. Over the past 9-12 months I've seen that period go to weeks and to include wifi and the tanning booths/massage chairs and beds not being available for almost a week due to "a blown fuse". It seems as if this club, a franchise, has changed ownership or existing ownership has run into a cash crunch. I do like the location and the number of different stations for cardio or weight training, but ownership needs to step up it's game. By the way, I don't want a "day pass" (I'm already a black member) or a refund/partial refund of my dues...I want everything to be working...that's the least you can do.

He came back and had the worst attitude. I called and asked about a day pass and the person said $5. But Joshua comes and says $20. If I was the manager I would have a talk with him because he almost made me walk out with his ugly attitude. Get it together sir! If anything your club management team should be reaching out to me! so frustrating . I tried changing my billing information on the app. it would not let me . I went to the location three times before my bill was due. changed it and verified with the employee two times after . They put my membership on hold . I haven’t been able to go up there because I work during the day long hours . I tried contacted abc fitness solutions they can not help . Everytime I go in there a manager is not available . I went again to the garland location and wanted to speak to a manager she told me she was off the clock . they want me to pay the two months I was not allowed to go plus late fees . Stopped in on the evening of January 29, 2024. The young lady working the front desk featured here was very disrespectful when I asked a question about the black card room. As a valued member who travels all over Texas and use PF everyday in different locations, this was by far the only time and the worst experience I have ever had. I did not even stay to workout. I have never been more totally disrespected by anybody at any club anywhere in this country that I’ve been to. I travel from coast to coast and use planet fitness from sea to shining sea. After traveling 5 1/2 hours on the highway, I stopped off at this planet fitness to use the massage chair. My back was killing me. There was nobody in the Black Card area at all. The girl working handed me one coin and told me that was all I was allowed to have. Must have been the way I looked. I am not a homeless person and had not reason to be treated like one upon my arrival to this club for the first time. Every planet fitness that I have been to from California, New York, Florida, and anywhere in My Home state of Texas, never have I’ve been told that I could only have one coin for five minutes on a massage chair. I don’t recommend this place at all! Totally rude!! I am going to the other club in Garland. They treat me with much respect there.

Yes I joined. It’s close to the house so no excuse. They have same machines that are at the fancy cardio rehab for Texas Health. Don’t feel pressured or being “stalked”.

FYI they do not have scheduled aerobics class or yoga areas, nor a pool. The Black Membership is $25 mo (reasonable).

They do have hot water jet massage chairs, regular plain machines chairs, standing tanning bed, and red light therapy standing units.

The space is really nice and all the equipment was clean. The only reason why im giving this a 4 is because of the mens bathroom. I walk to the showers after my workouts and notice that the floor was covered in dirt/soil in different areas, and there was pubic hair all over in 2 of the showers.
Other than that, everything else inside the building seemed good. Kinda wish there was a heavy punching bag or 2 for the p360/conditioning area for cardio use.

Apparently the “most by the rules” employee! That works there simply doesn’t like me or my wife. (The big gal, no name tag) surely everyone knows who that is. Reporting and leaving warnings in the system for “infractions”. What she needs to do is work out. Not work there. Maybe I’ll bring her some doughnuts to get a smile. Not a monster facility from the outside but larger than you'd expect once you're inside. Black card spa very clean I used the stand up tanning bed, the monitor on the upper body arm bike did not work but there was a hundred other machines to use that did work although they only have one upper body arm bike at every location I've found. I've been a member for at least 5 years. For the most part, the gym and locker rooms are always clean. The employees are always helpful and friendly. My favorite employee is Leslynn. She is the sweetest lady, and super kind.
