Always lots of friendly and hard working staff at this location. Machines are good quality and any time there’s an issue with a machine it’s generally fixed within a few days at most. Staff constantly cleaning machines and restocking paper towels & cleaning equipment for members to use. Keep it up guys! Always enjoy my time here. 👌

Rudest female staff. Policies seem to change depending on who is working. I was wearing the same shorts for two years, and dress code on the website said short shorts were allowed, so I was a little confused when I was dress coded wearing shorts I've been wearing for years. I asked the girl telling me I couldn't work out what is the dress code for bottoms, because all I was aware of was no jeans and no open toed shoes, and I was just going to run and grab an outfit from Target. And all she responded was that I couldn't come in wearing what I was wearing, which wasn't what I was asking. I was trying to get clarification so I didn't make the mistake again. A few days later, this morning, I dropped my son off at school and realized I forgot my converse at home, 30 mins away. I decided I'd just go in there and take my shoes off for the majority of the workout, because I was wearing cowboy boots, and sometimes I forego shoes during leg days to help with stability anyways. I have used the treadmills by the front desk countless times without shoes as well as the stairclimber and have done yoga without shoes in the back for the almost 2 years I have been going to various PF locations in not only central texas but other states as well. I'm on the hip abductor and a different girl comes up to me telling me to put my shoes on. Before I can even say "okay" and put them back on, she's telling me if she sees it again she's going to make me leave. Again, I am confused because no one has ever told me to put my shoes on for the years I have been going to PF, and I've seen others working out without shoes as well. Her threatening to kick me out in front of everyone as if I frequently am told to put my shoes back on, when I have not been told ONCE by her or any other staff just seems ridiculous. Again, I asked for clarification on the dress code just a few days previous so I didn't have to deal with this again and didn't receive it, so I don't understand why I'm being talked to like I'm causing a scene by sitting in the corner working out in silence. I'm saying this as someone who works in management, talking to loyal guests that way is the quickest way to lose business. It also seems to be an issue of people not upholding to the policies. If I have been breaking dress code for 2 years, I should have been corrected a long time ago, so I'm not dealing with the rude employees who act like you are trying to cause problems on purpose. I have an autoimmune disease and am going through a flare up right now, and the gym helps me manage my symptoms. The staff telling me I'm breaking policies, then not able to tell me what the policies are verbatim so that I don't make the mistake again just to deal with it again a few days later is just adding unnecessary stress and making my safe place extremely uncomfortable, which I don't need right now. They also need to put this same energy into keeping the paper towels and sanitizer stocked and refilled, and fixing the broken equipment, such as hydrobed 6.

It’s a good gym untill you move and need to cancel or do anything with your account. I moved states and they gave me the runaround and false information almost everytime I called they said I HAVE to go to a store in Oklahoma (that’s where I moved) to be able to transfer first then be able to cancel … wrong . The club in Texas does the transfer but I didn’t learn this untill I made it to the gym here in Oklahoma and the workers here called you guys to tell u that it’s YOUR JOB to initiate the transfer. And the girl on your end of the phone said she needs to wait on the manager and that she’ll take my name and number and give me a call when that manager gets it. Ofcourse never did, shocker ! The employee here in Oklahoma even called you guys for me which is why she told me to come back in Monday when she works and she’ll call yall again because she knew you wouldn’t be calling me back. Went back in today when I had the time bc sure enough yall don’t care enough to handle or follow up with your customers. Come to find out they charged me an annual fee 55$ all before they can ever even give me a call back so that I can freaking transfer and cancel !!! and another employee called and you guys told them I have to pay that fee first to be able to transfer. You guys are actual jokesters. Have me pay a fee when I been trying to cancel for weeks going back and fourth with yall on the phone & instead of waiving that fee which I know you can do, you say I gotta pay it before I can do anything when the whole entire month I’ve been actively trying to transfer but yall don’t even know how to train your employees to give the right info or help in any way shape or form. But that’s all on management .. after everything the awesome gym in Oklahoma got me transferred and THEY waived it as their fee and they took that hit even when they know I wasn’t staying with them. Now thats honest business .. take notes bc you guys suck !!!

I absolutely love this gym! It's a welcoming and friendly environment, and Issy is a standout. She’s the only one who truly makes an effort to talk to me and my husband. We're both very conversational people, and she always makes us feel seen and heard, never like we're a burden. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff tends to shut us off, but Issy always goes the extra mile to make us feel welcome. It's so refreshing to be at a place where the staff genuinely care and make an effort to connect with their members. Highly recommend!

This is by far one of the best gyms we’ve been to in a long time! If I had any critique it would be they don’t have a sauna other than that this place is CLEAN, the staff is amazing, friendly and helpful (Lawrence and Jill). The whole time while working out they are keeping the place clean and this is amazing for somebody like me who is a germaphobe! Please don’t join I like the place empty🥴🤭

Very inviting gym!! We like that it has a lot of different equipment so we can work out many different ways everytime. We like the black card room very nice and relaxing. Well kept and clean gym, nice place to get a good workout in. Overall have had a great experience but there was once instance where we were waiting to use the black card spa, and the team member (short, I think Hispanic, female) walked right past us to do some cleaning duties outside. We were (obviously) standing there waiting, made eye contact, and said “hello” (there was two of us standing there). She had no reaction (I would describe it as “stank face”) and kept walking. Yes, we tried to use the radios beforehand but there was a bunch on the chargers that we could see, so I’m not sure if they didn’t have them on hand due to this. This was around 6:30 in the morning. The overnight guy (rides the motorcycle) is always really nice and helpful. Would still rate as 5 star.

Enough is enough. Stop taking your pets everywhere. Some people don't want to see your dogs. It's common courtesy.
Stand up for people over pets!
Why allow someone to bring their animal regardless of high or low traffic at anytime to the gym? It's filthy and unsanitary to everyone working out. Dogs shed and people have allergies. When you pay for a membership you should not have to deal with animals. This is a beautiful location with great equipment but if they allow animals, we will cancel.

FYI. It wasn't a service animal. It was a pet.

So even if people are allergic, you allow animals. And just tell the military family to leave so the person with their animal can stay. Sweat and dog hair. Awesome. Got it!

I've been to so many Planet Fitness across the US and
honestly,this is probably the nicest Planet fitness I've been to. Parking is shared with other businesses but there is ample of space. Although in a place, the facility is well maintained. ALL of their equipment is cleaned and up to date. You don't have to worry about calluses on your hands from the bars. The machines don't have a squeak to them. There's about 7/8 Smith machines so you don't have to wait long. There's multiple cardio machines to choose from. Bathrooms actually smell nice and is very clean. It's weird that I give a gym 5 stars ..but whatever you're doing at the Harker Heights location, I hope it sets an example for others. The multi-button toilet was a nice touch.. my bad for letting me take a hand full of tootsie rolls to recover.

Newest Planet Fitness to open near the Killen/ Harker Heights TX area. I prefer going late and I've had the pleasure of meeting EDDIE, who works on the night shift. I've never not seen this man scrubbing equipment, cleaning floors, and cleaning restrooms. All while checking black card members in and out 2 or 3 times within a 10/15 minute time frame, running back and forth to accommodate. No matter if he's completely on the other side of the gym he's never made me feel like I'm inconveniencing him cause trust me l be feeling awful having to ask him to check me in while he's non stop cleaning and assisting members with questions.
Everyone has bad days but he's never showed or expressed anything other than kindness and respect. As for the gym's condition...l've gone in the early afternoons/late afternoons into the morning and l've always seen minimum traffic and equipment in clean and in great condition.
To be fair it's a newly opened gym so I wouldn't expect anything less. However, they seem to be keeping up with the facility nicely. I just started working out again after a 5 year break and I'm happy to report I don't feel judged or like l'm being gawked at. The location is great and feels safe. Black Card area has always been clean and the bathrooms the same. I've never been in the mornings so not sure what that looks like but I can speak for the late hrs and we have a phenomenal employee (Eddie) who knows his equipment, cleans his equipment, and takes great care to be courteous to his members.

First and for most I just want to say this facility in Harker heights Texas is amazing the facility is always clean everyday dusted and well maintained and tooken care of. The staff is always nice and welcoming all the machines always are on point and working the lay out of the gym is amazing there is so much space. Watch out for the guard dog but she is amazing when you get to know her. Just playing everyone is amazing. If you’re every curious go check it out you will not be disappointed.

It was my first time visiting this planet fitness in Harker heights. I watched Diaz assisting members out and to their cars when it was raining. I left the gym and got to my car, I then realized I forgot my half Bluetooth earphone along with it’s case charger. Diaz met me at the door and went back in and looked for it and gave it to me. My experience at the planet fitness gym in harker heights had been great up until I noticed while I was leaving, the planet fitness team members or crew were looking at the security cameras (which you could see just by walking by) and zooming in on people working out and pointing and laughing. Honestly made it feel like I can't go to this gym without being judged or laughed at when all I'm doing is my best at trying to be my best self like many others. The planet fitness is supposed to be a judgment free zone, right ? Hence the companies slogan. Really disappointing that they have hired people who are acting unprofessional and can't even follow the gyms core values. I mean what person wants to go to a gym that has people laughing and judging them the whole time.

( first of all ) Planet fitness has many facilities across The United states. That's how I found them in the first place. ( Secondly ) This facility is literally " bigger and better ". There are other planet fitness locations in Killeen but THIS one is spacious, cleaner, and basically up to date with newer exercise machines and equipment.

The short Hispanic young woman, working at the front desk @1:50pm on 11/28 was super rude. My husband was working out here and I just needed to use the restroom when picking him up. She was not pleasant or welcoming, nor did she make attempting to use the restroom easy. (My husband has the membership where an additional person is complementary; for context) We won’t be back to this location.
